I don't feel like any order should be tip exempt. Business to business or not. AutoZone and Advance are the worst but Lowe's customers aren't any better
It depends on what your hourly rate goal is. In my area, I'll accept anything that's $20+ per hou. So, yes, I would accept this unless traffic might make it take so long I could drop under 20/hr.
https://preview.redd.it/ueoihxry1wuc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcfbff8860ee963623057cd9f0b3639266ca7883
Just like this but this one wasn't such a low-ball but it still was for the miles
Drivers from the moment they accept the dash until the last delivery done get paid 120% of the state's minimum wage which is $19.20, and get paid .35/mile, each year, it gets adjusted for inflation.
Cause you earn by time and milage. If the time you spent shopping and dropping it off didnt pay more than 120% of min wage in DD pay (not counting tip), Im gettin brought up to number and getting a little extra payout Monday morning. Plus the milage gets paid out too. Forgot the rate on that
$63 vs. 29 miles with tip included. We don't know what tip is until you accept it. Honestly it's up to you and how far you want drive and how hard up for cash you are. One thing have keep in nind is just because it's it out the way doesn't mean it's not going to lucrative. I got called to do an order 10 miles out may which doesn't happen very often but I was the closest driver . I begrudgingly did it and it paid off because that area ended up being busy. So with situation like this you might want be asking yourself some hard questions .
29 miles is just 1 gallon if you're driving a Hybrid, also it's california which means Prop 22 kicks in based on time and distance the driver gets a bonus on their pay adjustment on monday. ($19.20 and .35 per mile added to the total, which is $10.50 extra for the mile, and over $20 from the moment you accept until deliveries are finished)
Just because it's one zone doesn't mean there's not better areas within the zone like in Baton Rouge parts of West Bend rouge parish like over the Mississippi river bridge are part of Baton Rouge zone but like if you get stuck Uber there you're not gonna get very many orders and the ones you do get are gonna be terrible so I only tend to take orders Uber the river if I think that there's gonna be a chance of an order going back over the river which usually only happens late at night just for an example of what I mean Sorry for the run on settings I'm using voice To text
I'm only telling that Fresno is a one very big zone, much like Stockton which includes Lodi. If you want to say where the business are, it's mainly near Highway 99, Fig Garden Village and Shaw Avenue, where the job finishes is not a very long drive to Shaw Avenue.
Why do you people keep asking these questions? Can’t you decide quickly whether or not you will make decent compensation in these moments? Get a different job, perhaps where it’s easier to decide what to do! 🤣
Shit, that person might even though in something extra so ofc I'll do it. I've had an order like that in the past. I had to drive like literally an hour away from my city to pick up like 3 things, but it was like for $100. 😂
https://preview.redd.it/wll29iv7bduc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=484a9893edce6b801c25f30075d9b5242d4c3284
I actually accepted this one today because the weather was nice and it was slow and to my surprise the total ended up being higher $93 with additional tips. Took me roughly 2 hours to complete.
And I didn’t have to shop for anything. All the orders were ready for pickup when I arrived, even Petsmart. 10 total stops and all surprisingly close to each other heading in the same direction
Yeah, probably. I don't live in Cali so I don't know how the Fresno traffic is, but that seems like a good enough trip for that amount of money. Not that many items either.
In my area, I'd say definitely, but idk how Fresno area traffic is. I could totally see the amount of miles seeming a lot larger in a more populated area.
$5 per order.. so $15 extra for PetSmart.. I’d cancel the Sephora one. And just do the PetSmart ones.. finish them in like 45 mins for likely about $70 with the long wait compensation.
I would click I’m here as soon as I pull into the store.. then just wait until it’s been 30 mins to scan the orders in. Call them hands free on your way to drop off and ask for long wait compensation. If they give you a hard time just hang up and call back and speak to someone else.
I use to do this with Walmart orders.. I’d get 10 orders three different times.. 10am 1pm and 5 pm I’d only work like 5 hours a day and make at least $300-$400 man I miss Walmart orders 😭
What do you mean you get banned from Walmart or something?
So let me get this straight, I shouldn't ignore the Walmart orders, just accept them then arrive and then wait 30 minutes, then head on out and call DD for compensation and just finish up the deliveries. No fuss ? That's it simple as that?
Look at it like this, if you do it in 2 hours or less, you end up $30/hr. Not sure what your market is like, but for me that would be an easy accept. Would only have to make another $40 for the day to end dashing.
Depends on how slow it is. If I’m getting decent, paying orders rapidly, probably not. But both of those stores have everything pre-shopped. Going to different houses would be a pain in the butt, but two bucks a mile isn’t bad!
NO that’s a lot of time! Don’t do it! My dicks and 9 stops at one store took way longer than it said. And this is two. They haven’t fine tuned it yet, they are using us. That’s not enough time, I got tricked by these and dazzled by the rate, I lost money that day I should’ve taken smaller food orders learn from me don’t do it I’ve fallen for this a few times.
Their stuff has been sitting, they are pissy, do not expect tips you won’t get em.
If just one isn’t wanted or they didn’t know it was canceled, which happened all the time, you lose a good chunk of that even if u get there. My rate wasn’t even what it said
We don't get these types of orders in upstate NY. The most I've gotten on a stacked order was 3. 2 from Burger King, 1 from McDonald's, and 3 separate dropp-offs for $20 & some change. Not gonna lie, I thought that wasn't too bad.
I also thought this wasn't bad.
can’t get $20 dollars here unless i drive around for almost 2 hours anyway. this drive above wouldn’t take me more then 2 hours and id make triple what id get in a normal 2 hours doing dash per time (the average is 13.50 per hour in my city, slightly more in the towns around me)
Ouch, I'm so sorry man. Thankfully I've been doing this for more than 4,000 deliveries now and am platinum and top 1% of grocery shoppers so I get great orders now. I used to never do this well though up until about 6 months ago.
Not that I know of, the only reason I know that is because dash emailed me about a month ago and told me so and that I would be getting priority shopping due to my high ratings and customer reviews for shopping orders.
good to hear that the harder to work the better then outcome in the long run! i don’t wanna do this forever but going into college soon for music it’s rlly easy and good with my schedule
I am actually seeking disability because I have so many health diagnoses so my husband drives me around so I can still make some money for all my expenses. I used to have my own T-Mobile store and made almost 6 figures a year, so this has been very difficult for me to get used to. Congrats on the music!! Are you looking to be an engineer or producer? Or performing?
i really hope that your disability is approved soon!! i’m glad that you still have ways to get by and i hope you still live a comfortable and full and happy life regardless of extreme changes!! :)
i don’t fully know right now. grew up wanting to be a music teacher in some sort and lately with all the stuff that’s constantly going on in school districts (at least around my state) has made it slightly off putting. but i’m still looking into that. maybe someday i could teach private music lessons. i’m a choir kid (so i sing) but learned/still learning piano because it’s very helpful with choir and singing and i know it would benefit me if i do end up teaching music!
7 Drop off, 4 pick ups? What am I missing ? See I don’t trust DoorDashs algorithm man. Sorry. I don’t do stacks that are from separate places unless they are being delivered to one customer. I feel like the only reason they stack shit like this is to clear out their back log by chaining customers that don’t tip w/ the ones that do and to me that’s not fair at all,
Depends 100% on area and frequency of orders. I’d say yes personally but if I’m not in a good mood I’ll decline. I can confidently get this done in under 2hrs so it hits my cutoff of $20 an hr.
Do you often take retail orders? Certain dasher have priority over retail deliveries, even without being a top dasher. I have priority, mostly because I used to instacart and going to the store is cake walk. I can choose not to have priority however, I enjoy it. Kinda like being a top dasher when it comes to retail orders.
Not really because the traffic in Fresno, it’s not a lot but more than the average American town. The reason they put such a big tip (not really when you factor in gas, traffic, etc) is because they understand traffic will eat up most of the time it would take to do this order. Traffic is a big play in a dashers time
They could potentially get “Dash along the way” back to their zone. I refuse to take orders going to the area south of me because all the stuff there is gonna take me way out and I’ll be stuck in that area. The area to the north me no issues because there is enough places ppl order from that take me back to my zone or very local in that area.
I’d hesitate and then take it but if I didn’t take it I’d regret it rest of the day. Also this is a guaranteed $63, I could try and get $63 faster than that time but it’s a risk and I’m more for guaranteed pay than possible pay.
I sure did. Thats $2/mile plus i dont have to waste AR rejecting a bunch of orders (if i declined the one posted) that wont guarantee me this kind of money for the workload. 30 miles of driving in my area wouldnt take longer than its worth at all. The roads are nice besides the potholes. Highways to every meaningful location pretty much.

Only if is going to take me less than 3 hours I would.
I don't feel like any order should be tip exempt. Business to business or not. AutoZone and Advance are the worst but Lowe's customers aren't any better
I would hands down. Way beats the crap I'm getting
I would have, my market is shit and it would take me all day to make that.
Yes I would. Hands down
It depends on what your hourly rate goal is. In my area, I'll accept anything that's $20+ per hou. So, yes, I would accept this unless traffic might make it take so long I could drop under 20/hr.
Taking that all day everyday
Are y’all just allergic to money or something? I swear yall confuse tf outta me
Yep, it's all pickup no shopping wouldn't even hesitate
In a heartbeat!!! Guaranteed $$
https://preview.redd.it/ueoihxry1wuc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcfbff8860ee963623057cd9f0b3639266ca7883 Just like this but this one wasn't such a low-ball but it still was for the miles
How the hell is a tip ineligible?
Exactly
If you can do it in 2, oh hell ya.
Yes and then call it a day
Probably would
i’d hesitate and then take it to not mess with my AR😅
In a heartbeat
Duuuuuhh yes lol
Yes
Oh yeeeeaaahhhh!!!
Yes. And then ditch everything but the Sephora order. Win. 100%.
Id take it unless it was rush hour or something
Hell no that many stops nooope
Hell yeah I’d accept it
Never again will I do a petco or pets mart. Those orders are ineligible for tips and always lowballed
i've tipped on a petsmart order. $20 bc she went above and beyond.
For me after delivery it always says tip ineligible
I had a lady tip 15 on zelle because she couldn't leave a tip on a petco order.
Lucky ass
Gotta be at the right place at the right time and be polite and positive . Make them laugh and they tip nicely
Yeah. This would probably take less than two hours to do… 😅 that’s pretty good imo
Prop 22 in California will probably help
How would it help?
Drivers from the moment they accept the dash until the last delivery done get paid 120% of the state's minimum wage which is $19.20, and get paid .35/mile, each year, it gets adjusted for inflation.
It might not work out that way, especially if the delivery apps petition for an exemption, the same way some of the other bigger businesses did.
Cause you earn by time and milage. If the time you spent shopping and dropping it off didnt pay more than 120% of min wage in DD pay (not counting tip), Im gettin brought up to number and getting a little extra payout Monday morning. Plus the milage gets paid out too. Forgot the rate on that
Yea for a guaranteed wage of course. Don’t have to fuck around with bullshit 👍

I didn't even know that very good point.
Seems easy honestly
Definitely! Wait. Do I have to feed the animals too?🐶😂
Yeah, I'd take it.
Depends is the area you end up in busy? If you can make money riding back towards your start location then absolutely.
Fresno is all one zone.

Man I’ve only ever had one gigantic order before, so envious!
just now have a 5 pizza order 40$ in one dash then last week had a guy tip me 30$ on another large pizza order haha
Goood shit
That or take 7 acceptance dings for saying no.
My old stomping grounds!
Yup
10$ items ain’t too bad, plus it depends on where I’m at. the time frame is relatively dead so I usually take orders like these if they pop up.
https://preview.redd.it/wll29iv7bduc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=484a9893edce6b801c25f30075d9b5242d4c3284 I actually accepted this one today because the weather was nice and it was slow and to my surprise the total ended up being higher $93 with additional tips. On its worst day Fresno traffic isn't bad enough to question $31/hr.
Yes. Ask for long wait compensation.. just browse PetSmart for 30 mins after you hit im here lmao
Didn’t know you could do that. How much do they usually give for long waits?
$5 per order.. so $15 extra for PetSmart.. I’d cancel the Sephora one. And just do the PetSmart ones.. finish them in like 45 mins for likely about $70 with the long wait compensation.

Yes it was as simple as that, likely still is. I don’t dash anymore.. and it only works for these specific type of orders.
Walmart and DoorDash cut ties a while back
Yeah now it’s through Spark. Gonna give that a shot.
Oh gotcha i must have seen the Walmart orders pop up on UE , def gonna try it next pet order
Looks like a death sentence to me
I'd probably accept it. For the learning experience. If it sucks, I'll know better next time.
Learning experience..lol
Definitely
Look at it like this, if you do it in 2 hours or less, you end up $30/hr. Not sure what your market is like, but for me that would be an easy accept. Would only have to make another $40 for the day to end dashing.
yes. i’m lucky to get over a dollar per mile here
In my area I would accept that every day. It would take like 90 minutes here.
Yeah. Better than sittin around trying to manifest a order
Not here in Fresno. Unless it was supper slow at the time
I like supper, speaking of which is it dinner time yet.
I’m fat. It’s always supper time
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
Still will average out the same after 2 and half hours doing smaller deliveries
That's not bad....especially compared to how shit it is out there now.
not a chance.
Yes
Why wouldn’t u? Are u making millions in your other job?
atp im taking whatever i can get
Yes
I want 60 for EACH pickup then maybe.
You're never getting that bud 😂😂

Right?! I mean I make 200 Dollars a day just in a small dash zone in Indiana but I would take this order anyday!
can’t get $20 dollars here unless i drive around for almost 2 hours anyway. this drive above wouldn’t take me more then 2 hours and id make triple what id get in a normal 2 hours doing dash per time (the average is 13.50 per hour in my city, slightly more in the towns around me)

How do you find your ratings for shopping? Are they different then the regular rating system?
Not that I know of, the only reason I know that is because dash emailed me about a month ago and told me so and that I would be getting priority shopping due to my high ratings and customer reviews for shopping orders.

Yep

Prop 22 to the last minute given
I do this on most no tip orders, especially if the customer is rude. Drive slower in the residentials to make sure I get my prop 22
Hellz yeah
Depends 100% on area and frequency of orders. I’d say yes personally but if I’m not in a good mood I’ll decline. I can confidently get this done in under 2hrs so it hits my cutoff of $20 an hr.
Oh this is a hard sigh, and a reluctant yes all day
100% would it’s $2 a mile
How yall be getting orders like that I’m a door dasher as well and I don’t get those kind or orders
Never
Uk how confused ur going to be ?
Been dashing a few years in Fresno. Never have I ever received an offer with this many orders in a bundle. How is it going?
Not really because the traffic in Fresno, it’s not a lot but more than the average American town. The reason they put such a big tip (not really when you factor in gas, traffic, etc) is because they understand traffic will eat up most of the time it would take to do this order. Traffic is a big play in a dashers time
I would accept it, time spent on an order is paid an hourly rate anyways. Plus I would imagine the tip being pretty significant
In my area yes. The Petco orders might actually have a tip on them since it’s not a repeat order ie shipping order not eligible for a tip.
Y’all are forgetting that it’s taking you 30 miles away from home, you have to factor in the time to drive back which doubles the distance.
They could potentially get “Dash along the way” back to their zone. I refuse to take orders going to the area south of me because all the stuff there is gonna take me way out and I’ll be stuck in that area. The area to the north me no issues because there is enough places ppl order from that take me back to my zone or very local in that area.
I've done three of these so far today, luckily. Petco especially. Good money
i mean 63 bucks is 63 bucks
Heck yeah
$2.13/mi or $30/hr if you get it done in 2. I probably would do it
I do office depot deliveries from 6 to noon for salary. And I do grubhub and Doordash on the side. I'd happily take this job.
Yes
I’d hesitate and then take it but if I didn’t take it I’d regret it rest of the day. Also this is a guaranteed $63, I could try and get $63 faster than that time but it’s a risk and I’m more for guaranteed pay than possible pay.
$63 for 11 items and 2 stores? In my area, yes.
Did you see the 7 stops? 30 miles isn’t a short trip either😭
Edited phrasing
Got an email the other day that said they may be changing that so when you get an order like this it counts as one decline not 7. But we'll see.
💯🤘
Yes, basically made 30/hr if you get it done in 2. My car gets 40mpg plus so of course I’m taking that.
In my market yes. In a traffic busy city no.
3 orders, 10 items and 1 order from Sephorra 7 stops?
At my current rate yeah, I do two dollars a mile.
I hear in Fresno you are going to need 80% ar so better take
not a chance
I would take it. To me it’s means 2 hours of not having to decline much much crappier orders.
Yeah really got to think of that online time vs active time. So much time is wasted just waiting for a good order
Probably wouldn’t but it might be worth it depending on traffic.
