While nice looking this snare drum (and almost every other drum by Ddrum) has poor hardware or at the very minimum questionable quality. There are better safer options at this price point, but if you still choose to buy this don't crank it.

Thanks for the info! The cast hoop and it being a heavier snare made it seem more solid. I guess looks (and feel) can be deceiving.

Depends how much he’s selling it? They have lower resale value so might be a good options, especially condidering it have die cast and are lackered. The die cast hoop are as good as pearl mastercast and nothing wrong with these lugs… i got an ash one for a steal and it sound great. but there was a small crack between two ply of the wood.still sound great!

I think he wanted 200 for it..

Hey thanks for the info! I ended up just upgrading my current snare with some pure sound snares and tuned it up and its sounding nice! Glad I didn’t spend the dough
