MisterF205

Lol. If this really is his actual retirement his last career game was a loss to the Cowboys.

[deleted]

His last SB loss was to the Eagles

magew

In which he refused to congratulate or shake hands with the famed quarterback known as Long Pole Foles.

B2EU

Understandably he was afraid he would get jousted by Foles’ monster dong if he went anywhere near him.

GiftedOaks

The legend of Big Dick Nick continues

nowhereisaguy

I’m afraid we saw the last of BDN after that colts chargers game. It was tough to watch.

tracksuitaficionado

What losing to the cowboys in the playoffs does to a mf

[deleted]

Yeah that’s when you know it’s time to hang it up

shavingcream97

He knew it was over for him if he lost to Dak

[deleted]

[удалено]

215Kurt

it was just their first road playoff in 30, not their first playoff win in 25. They have 4 over that span, all wildcard wins.

RJMonster

This makes Jalen Hurts the clear cut best QB in the NFC

KoBxElucidator

Trying to think who is up there with him. Dak is a Kirk Cousins clone, Danny Jones is overrated as hell, Kirk Cousins IS Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers is cooked, we will see about Geno Smith, and Kyler Murray is too busy playing CoD to become an elite QB. God damn the NFC is weak as hell the more I think about it. Good chance for the Eagles to run the table for the next year or 2.

embiidDAgoat

The NFC is in some serious QB desert if Geno Smith is possible the second best QB. Holy shit. I think the only hope of an emerging QB is Justin Fields, but I don’t think he is going to be able figure it out before he gets hurt. It doesn’t seem like he has good awareness. Honestly, Goff doesn’t look too bad now lol.

KoBxElucidator

Also gotta pay attention to this upcoming draft. Bears are about to get a HAUL for the first overall pick. If it goes to an NFC team, they automatically become a threat with a better QB. Bears are on the rise imho, especially if they hit paydirt in this draft. Same with the Lions.

embiidDAgoat

Lions have a better chance of being pretty nice. If they just load up a defense, they can be really good. I'm not very high on this QB draft to begin with, so I have no problems with any going within the conference. I think CJ Stroud has the best shot of being pretty good, but Bryce Young is too small and I think has a high chance of being injury prone.

Blewedup

the team on the rise is going to be seattle. they robbed denver and already have a good core. let's see where they go next.

Colangelo_Ball

They’re also approx 4 quintillion moneys under the cap and can afford to fill in any hole they need.

habdragon08

Stafford?

Blewedup

i'm also thinking goff deserves some credit. he had a very good year in detroit.

red-broom

Goff is overlooked a lot because of how bad he was in his younger years (always talented but lacked the mental aspect). He’s a QB who can definitely light people up and hit open receivers now consistently. I definitely put him in the top of this list as well.

Blewedup

i have zero faith in justin fields. just doesn't seem to be able to do enough in the passing game. let's see if he can make the same jump hurts made.

stormy2587

Its a QB desert and things might not get better as they currently stand. If the bears want to role with fields then the next really QB needy nfc team on the board is atlanta at 8 and carolina at 9. And Vegas, indianapolis, and houston are all ahead of them. And all need/want QBs. I suspect Detroit and Seattle will stick with their guys but I could be wrong. New Orleans doesn’t pick until 30 and washington and tampa pick in the late teens. I suspect the bears, Arizona, seattle, and Detroit would all potentially let someone trade up for a QB. But Houston is almost certainly taking one at 2 maybe 1 since it would probably not require forfeiting many assets to get chicago’s pick if they really feel like they need to get their guy. It could easily shake out that AFC teams pounce on the first round QBs.

embiidDAgoat

Its kind of interesting, the NFC will stay mediocre in the draft as long as they keep beating each other up with mid QBs lmao.

stormy2587

Yeah the AFC has had more unbridled disasters that have turned their fortune around with a first overall pick (and usually a lot if top 5 picks) in recent memory too. Jacksonville seems to have a QB in lawrence. And the Bengals got one in Burrow. Teams like Cleveland, the jets, and houston have picked near the too a lot as well. And I think NFC teams have only picked 3x in the last decade at first overall. Arizona in 2019, rams in 2016 (but that was a trade up and tennessee earned that pick), and Bucs in 2015. Very often the best qb falls a bit. Like allen, mahomes, Watson, and herbert all were taken outside the top 5 in their drafts. So there is an element of luck as well.

Crazy-Value-1499

You forgot Brock Purdy, aka the second coming of Tom Brady…. Up until last Sunday that is

misterpickles69

He was still Tom Brady in the 1st quarter, right up until the strip sack and then he was just a lowly 3rd stringer...according to 49ers fans.

Crazy-Value-1499

Then they became a hospital ward team as one niners fan put it. Didn’t hear any of that talk before kick off. I’ve never seen a more sorry group of football fans. I thought the cowboys fans were bad. I have new respect for NFC East fans after last week.

Ladelm

He threw like 2 easy passes before he got hurt

[deleted]

Putdy was really doing his Tom Brady impression with the whole strip sack thing.

JCSeegars54

Dak has legs so id say hes better than kirk and justin fields is already that guy prolly just a year or two behind schedule

KoBxElucidator

It all depends on if they treat Fields like the Eagles treated Hurts. Get the man some weapons. If they keep pussyfooting around in not getting a legit WR1, Fields is not going to be an elite QB.

Ace__Extendo

Justin Fields just needs a better O-Line. He’s pretty good tho.

kevsdogg97

Dak only averaged 15.2 yards per game rushing this year, 9.1 last year, 18.6 the year before. He’s not really a run threat at all.

JCSeegars54

Watch the tape dude can move pretty well he just chooses not too maybe he has a bit of that mcnabb syndrome

kevsdogg97

Yeah that’s fair.

VanceXentan

Kirk cousins is himself is the funniest thing i've read today so far.

Shmeves

I wouldn't completely count out Rodgers, he did play injured this year. I don't think he'll be good on the packers anymore though.

omsnoms1

Justin Fields is probably up there IF the Bears put him in a system similar to ours.

Blewedup

yeah, AFC has mahomes, allen, burrow, herbert, lawrence, just to name a few off the top of my head.

2fly5

> Kyler Murray is too busy playing CoD to become an elite QB. He's also injured and might not be playing next year

[deleted]

Only gotta watch out for fields. If he gets that arm right he's got the wheels.

angrydanmarin

No it fucking doesn't; Brady had nothing on hurts all year. It wasn't a debate!

ArmsofSleep

I know this sounds nuts coming from an Eagles fan, but it’s still Dak. He has his flaws (big ones!) but on tape he really is still a really sharp QB. I mean, check out what he did to the Eagles defense in the second half on Christmas Eve. Hurts is great too but I would need to see another year or two of him operating at this level to really crown him that. Regardless I think both are really the class of the conference now.

coopermaneagles

I also agree that Dak sometimes is a little overrated but ask yourself this: You need a guy to go out there and win an important game, you take Dak or Hurts? Hurts has made it farther in his second season than Dak has ever, and it’s not as if Dak hasn’t had the talent around him. Hurts just has this ability to get the job done and that makes him, to me, the best QB in the NFC

hanky2

You don’t think Dak would have beat the Giants and QBless 49ers?

coopermaneagles

Could have for sure, but what evidence do I have in his 8 year career to be confident? He’s had some absolutely loaded rosters and still can’t get out of the divisional round

jawntist

I think they would have gotten a lead and he would have been able to convert. The tighter the game, the less confidence I have in Dak.

hanky2

He literally beat us in a tight game this year it was tied in the last 5 minutes. You can say Hurts is better than him without making up narratives like him not being able to put up more than 7 points against the 49ers or not being able to beat the Giants. Has he even lost to the Giants before lol?

jawntist

Maybe I was not clear. I DO think he could have beaten the teams we played. I just think he has high variance. He can be very good, but also has some low lows.

hanky2

Oh ok we’re in agreement then that other guy seems to think Dak wouldn’t have made it this far for some reason lol.

red-broom

Normally I’d say yes, and it should be obvious he would’ve beaten those teams. But dak also shoots himself in the foot when it matters most. So… idk lol. I also don’t put too much credence on the fact that he went 24/24 in the second half of our game. We played a really soft zone defense that game and were just allowing throws. Last year with that same defensive scheme we were letting terrible QBs throw 20/20, 24/25, etc… so again I don’t really consider that any different than I take into consideration Dak has been throwing pick 6s in the most pivotal moments when the ball needs to be protected. They both have to be discussed. And the dude just threw away so many games this year like it was on purpose. Having said all that, Dak can definitely read an offense well and can hit any throw with enough time. He been getting called out as if he is waaay worse than his skill is. He’s a really good QB. He’s just pretty bad when under pressure or when the defense starts to get to him.

kdfailshot123

Hurts was already better than Brady this season. Brady was pedestrian. Although, it was their oline's fault.

Johnny_Utah09

Just a reminder that the last time Tom Brady lost in a Super Bowl, it was Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles that beat him.

CranberryNapalm

Was that right before Brady refused to shake Big Dick Nick’s hand and ran off the field like a pouty pre-schooler?

[deleted]

Yep

pandasareblack

Tom Brady to retire with 0-2 lifetime record against Nick Foles.

theycallmecrack

NFCE will go down as the Brady killer. 10-6 Giants in 2008, underdog Eagles in 2018, and Cowboys in 2023 (who had never beaten him before).

Coach_Carter_on_DVD

Lol Commanders

[deleted]

Almost had em LOL

[deleted]

Brady also laid out Patrick Mahomes twice as a middle aged man, in the playoffs I might add, it balances out.

slurgablurg

Sorry, has Mahomes and Brady ever taken the field at the same time?

AbbreviationsHot4482

You can’t fool me I’m too familiar with your game

Pancerules

Wonder if he’ll stick to it this time?

FilthyMcnasty90210

Probably. I'm betting he wants to try and get his family back together. Also last year was absolute misery for him.

Future_Belt_3730

That and hes about to get PAID in the booth.

mjd1977

Pour one out for Olsen to be good and still either get demoted or share top analyst duties with Brady

GeneralGalvatron

Olson has legitimately been a wonderful surprise for me. Dude was one of my favorites all year

hyzerflip4

Nah they are done done. Giselle already moved on with other dudes and shit. Plus seems like a lot was brewing there beyond him just coming back to football.

Snake_in_my_boots

Maybe the kids but the wife is going to pound town with her personal trainer down in Costa Rica.

Nochtilus

She's got the money, the family, the beauty, and the freedom to do whatever the hell she wants. She came out fantastically from all this

Vir-victus

not to mention that the wife know Tom will pick career over family, if he can. im pretty sure if he had won the SB this year, he wouldnt retire.

The_Amazing_Emu

Honestly, even if he didn’t win but looked like his old self, he would have played again. I think he wanted to retire with a Super Bowl win, but he finally realized he can’t quite take them there.

Savb10

Fuck Tom Brady nothing made me happier than seeing him on his ass after the strip sack.

Fried_Cthulhumari

"Brady stands... the ball knocked out of his hands! The Eagles recover! The Eagles get the ball back! The script **is** flipped! Tom Brady bereft on the turf! It has lit-tra-ly been *ripped* from his grasp!" The Australian call of that play is a thing of fuckin' beauty.

BootsToYourDome

That video is sick, the Mexican one is hilarious too

Conscious_Nobody_520

I watch that clip all the time.

raugust7

As much as I fucking hated Brady, respect. All time great. And also fuck you. You're nick foles bitch

[deleted]

Patriots defense lost the game, but whatever makes you feel cozy inside. Brady's "bad" numbers via a google search **"Tom Brady had a passer rating of 115.4 with 505 yards and 3 touchdowns"**

raugust7

Oh really? Sick dude. Still makes Brady Nick Foles bitch

[deleted]

I'm not going to argue, I put money on your team against the Chiefs, Jalen Hurts should humiliate Mahomes like Brady did in 2019 and 2021. I really don't want to root for your team, but it's better than Mahomes winning another title.

raugust7

So are you just a Brady fan boy? A patriots turned TB fan? And good call u will make some money

[deleted]

I was 7 years old when I became a Patriots fan, Brady just happened to win titles for us. If you think little kids bandwagon teams, you're an idiot. Also I want money, I'm going to bet on one team or the other.

raugust7

So your a Patriots fan who is on a eagles sub about Tom. Makes sense. And yea little kids do bandwagon teams. If you don't see that, you're an idiot.

GeneralGalvatron

Dang, sorry you randomly ran into an Eagles fan wanting to talk crap; our fan base gets like that about Nick Foles for obvious reasons. Hope you have a great day!

[deleted]

I'm only salty about the 2007 loss to the Giants in the super bowl, yeah losing to the Eagles sucks but I got over it, you guys earned your title fair and square.

GeneralGalvatron

That 2007 game was the most conflicted I ever felt watching football. It was like I was losing no matter what happened

[deleted]

He looks like a 3D printer version of what I think he looks like

Jazz-Cigarettes

I swear that he gets plastic surgery every year to make his jaw look more a little more chiseled each time. Like I get that he's taken amazing care of his body for 20 years but there's no way that is natural since the rest of his body has looked the same for a decade. In 5 years he's just gonna have a spike for a chin.

red-broom

Lmao so funny. His head has been getting slimmer and slimmer too. It’s pretty wild. I feel like at some point his facial structure changed to a round head, then back to a sliver. Like a different person. Strange for sure.

Latenighttaco

Lotsa respect for Brady, truly the GOAT, and it's been historic to watch him since I was 7. Which is why it's all the more sweeter we beat him in the super bowl.

SpringHardenSt

W take, we beat the goat to end the patriots dynasty in 2017. Period.

dart278

Not quite end the dynasty, they won the year after too. However we did prevent a 3-peat.

SpringHardenSt

You’re right, I completely forgot about that snoozefest of a Super Bowl

mmmellowcorn

Now that he has an empty, quiet house to relax in. Well played

KoBxElucidator

I'll believe it when I see it. Nevertheless, I hope Foles holds a party for his son.

ausgmr

Adding to the list of things that have happened since the last time Dsllas made it to a championship game. - invention of the ipod - Jalen Hurts' entire life - Turn of the millennium We can now (probably) add Tom Brady's entire NFL career

Oradi

I can't help feeling like the timing of this was done to make the downtime in the Superbowl the Tom Brady show.

SlinginPogs

Can't wait to hear about this for the next 2 weeks

fightins26

It will be so nice to not have to hear “but you got tom Brady on the other side of the ball and blah blah blah his dick is in my mouth even though they’re down by 38 points he’s the goat and you never know what could happen because he’s had 8754 game winning drives in the last 498 years”

Lemondsingle

Did anyone ever shout "Do your fucking job!" in Brady's face after an int? Good riddance to bad relish as grandma used to say.

Letem_haveit

Grandma sounds hot

Lemondsingle

Lol. Yeah, not so much but I did love her candy jar. I mean actual candy jar not a euphemism for something else.

BlueKing7642

This is 9/11 for Buccaneers bandwagoners

Zanthy1

Tom Brady, 1-3 vs the NFC East in the Super Bowl, retired today.

magick_with_a_ck

Man, Niners fans are having the worst week. You hate to see it.

mikeb32

This man really threw his family away for an 8-9 record and to lose in the Wild Card round to the Cowboys. Lmao get fucked Tom. https://youtu.be/GU4Hw-xbBNo

throwawayjoeyboots

I don’t know why people push this theory. He came back because of the divorce. It was a distraction.

derstherower

He retired and realized that nothing could save the marriage so he came back. The divorce caused the unretirement. Not the other way around.

WaddleDeee

Do people really think his marriage dissolved over a span of two months over him going back to football? It’s incredibly more likely that he knew it was gonna be over and came back

Vir-victus

i dont get it. was fame really that imprtant to him?

FriendlyCoat

My theory is that football is literally everything to him. His entire identity is being an NFL player, and he has no clue how to be anything else, and that’s terrifying to him.

GoodOlSpence

Bingo, I've been saying this since he cried in that interview about his draft day. Guy's a weirdo, reminds me of Tom Cruise. I wouldn't be surprised if he did the Dennis Reynolds method of rubbing onion on his eyes to get tears for this video.

poetiq

Well, he's got that Fox Sports Analyst job lined up.

mikeb32

I think it was him retiring on his terms since last year Adam Schefter broke the news. I think that drove him to a point to kick his family to the curb to play one more year. The media was more important to him than his family. That is why, once again, I am smoking that Tom Brady pack. I do not respect the man at all.

Doobie_Howitzer

What losing to a dumpster fire like Dallas in the postseason will do to a MF

HotPieIsAzorAhai

Nice of him to play that extra year just to completely burn down his fucking marriage.

Hwbam33

Will never forget the trash truck with Fuck TomB spray painted on it. His true legacy

dirtshow

Honestly it was a privilege to watch him play. Also a privilege to beat his ass in SB52.

igotbabydick

Jokes aside… what a fuckign career this guy has had. We all should feel very lucky to have watched it… probably not gonna be repeated in our lifetime. Hats off to him!

Bulldawgzz

Goodbye TB41-33 May you always be remembered that cold Minnesota night On your ass

ftwin

bye bye

Slippery_Feces

X doubt

LCLeopards

Sure Jan.

JayToy93

I hope Foles’ son enjoys retirement!

BlueKing7642

Sure he is. **Jack off motion**

kdfailshot123

Damn... how many QB's can the 49ers lose in 1 season?

TheProcess316

Not Eagles, don’t care

sc78258

I’ve seen this song and dance before man “Truly grateful for this day, thank you.” - the undertaker, immediately before sitting up in his coffin, probably

Pennsylvania6-5000

Screw /u/spez - Removing All of My Comments -- mass edited with https://redact.dev/

magicheadcase

He's lying, he's retiring for evil

AdSpecialist6598

I can't help but wonder considering what this season cost him if it would've been smarter to stay retired the 1st time around.

AnatomicallyModHuman

Congratulations, best of last, see you in Week 1 next year.

Glass-Situation4099

Wow. I feel so old. Nick Foles son is already retiring

GrayMerchantAsphodel

Cheated against us in the SuperBowl. In my mind, TO and Donovan won and celebrated by eating Chunky Soup. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2756624-steve-spagnuolo-patriots-were-stealing-eagles-signals-during-2005-super-bowl

3DBass

Donovan threw up Chunky Soup.

Fivior

Best to ever do it. The league isn't going to be the same without him.

ZiggysSack

This sucks. Will miss the guy and wish he went out on higher note.

Planet_Atom

Must be new to the bandwagon. Screw Tom, and his spy cameras.

Arson_Wentz

It was almost 20 years ago, the bad man can't hurt you anymore.

Planet_Atom

Sure he can. I could see him on the street and he can whack me with one of his flat footballs

Nexus369

The best time was after Super Bowl LV.

Mollythebirdsfan

Despicable cheater.

[deleted]

He steals the spotlight by announcing retirement right before a matchup of one of the teams to tarnish his Super Bowl record and one QB that even has a chance to reaching his accomplishments. He probably ran over Eli’s dog on the way to film this too.

trust-theprocess

Rodgers to McAfee: I can't make a decision until after the superbowl at the earliest, because there's still football going on. It ain't about me, it's about the Chiefs and Eagles still playing and the great seasons they've had Brady: HEY EVERYONE I'M RETIRING

32BitWhore

End of an era man. Thank you for giving us SB52 Tom. Truly special that our first one was against the greatest to ever do it still in his prime. However you feel about the man, I don't know that we'll ever see another player dominate in the way he did for as long as he did, full stop.

ExPatWharfRat

Good riddance, ya scumbag.

[deleted]

Once a rapist always a rapist

pp3700

He still has to go through the summer with Instagram models and his kids, I'm waiting till next season starts.

CaptainExtermination

😂😂😂

Alexgbell215

Annnnnd he just signed with the Broncos!!! Jk

young-steve

Greatest of all time. It's definitely going to suck not seeing him suit up anymore. Seeing all-time greats retire is always a tough thing. I'm dreading the day LeBron does.

the_burns

You can tell he’s a bit emotional in places there. Looks like he’s in Miami maybe. Respect the fuck out of him and maybe I can stop hating him now that he’s not in the NFL anymore, lol. Will be cool to see him as an analyst, NGL. Anyway, feels good to hand him his last superbowl L. Cya Tom, I want 2004 back but at least we got 2017. Thanks for the show.

CentralFeeder

I believe it when I see it.

Mr_Wigglebutz

Giselle: Yup, OK Thomas. ✌🏼💋

Go_gurt_

Retired without ever giving BDN a handshake…

Dankofamericaaa2

Glad that the NFC East owns you in the SB

thegodfatherderecho

“Retiring”

Mrdwight101

He is the GOAT and I respected his game. Time vs Tom has some insight into his hard work he put in every season.

CBus-Eagle

For someone that had such a great career, what a shitty season for him to retire on.

[deleted]

G.O.A.T.

Patient_Jicama_4217

The Goat

snowdope

Thanks for the ring, Tom

Snips_Tano

Sure, Jan

Chris7thLegion

Until he changes his mind of course.

EaglesFan027

I don’t think he wants to go out with that postseason loss, but he would make a lot of money if he goes to Fox. So glad we beat him in the SB once

arminus83

Will he? Or will he pull a Favre? We shall see.

Dumpster_slut69

Yawn, it's too bad Philly won't get to beat him again.

2ND_GEN_PANDA

K. Cool. Bye!

Dan888888

I’ve hated him for many years, but at the end of the day you gotta respect the hell out of the man. As a fan of the sport itself, it’s been great to be alive at the same time of such a great player.

Iagent2022

I just don't buy it, give it a month, he'll be a 49er next year
