That’s a great idea to get you out of the house and in the sun. I love it. Side note, I’m surprised Pokémon Go is still so popular. I’m sure it’s not perfect, but they must have really nailed it for it to be popular still.
I played at launch but left it quickly after. I only picked it up again a few months ago and im surprised how decent it is. It’s definitely a big motivator to get me outside and do my runs or just dick around on this bike. I have a bigger bike but it’s overkill in the park.

2024 Voltbike Yukon 750, 21ah battery gets me around 100km on moderate assist levels(haven't tested out max range) 2 months old, 1000km already
Yea, I commuted 30km each day to work with her for a couple years until they banned dogs. She loves it and usually wears doggles to protect her eyes. She is at the top weight range for the seat, (25lb) and usually hangs off one side or the other because she likes to look cool while riding. Seat and platform is padded. She is sitting mostly on her butt. Got the seat from Buddyrider.ca

My new bike. So far I have 6 miles on it. I work a lot. lol.
It's a bit of a science project I've been working on for a while that runs on a 4kW agricultural drone motor. The battery capacity isn't great at only 12Ah but that's enough to get me 15-20 miles. The main strength of the battery is that it'll do 90A comfortably, and at 52V nominal there's plenty of power on tap. All the black plastic you see holding the battery and other components to the frame is 3D printed nylon which is nice and tough. I haven't gotten a chance to test the top speed flat out yet but I've done 50 so far. For long term cruising the motor is more comfortable around 35-40 but I'm planning to water cool the motor to get that up a bit. The motor spins at 100 rpm per volt so around 5200 rpm, which when combined with the 9 speed "transmission" makes this thing have a sound and riding experience all it's own. A large chunk of the real work on this project has gone into the PID control system that runs on an ESP32 microcontroller since the ESC was not remotely designed for this type of thing and isn't programmable. I won't get too deep into that side of it right now though
Must have been a massive drone. Where did you get your hands on that? I'd be a bit nervous about the wheel bearings those speeds, but I guess you'll find out what is going to be the failure points, hopefully not at speed. Interesting build brother, be safe and check the bearing temps often and most of all keep us updated 👍 😀

On our eTrike. This is a 2023 Catrike eCat 559 recumbent trike. Bosch motor, up to 20mph eassist. About 2300 miles so far. My dog’s basket is the same basket as on the handle bars of my Trek.
Okie dokie. Rad Power RadWagon 4 with a homemade trailer made entirely from repurposed materials. The trailer itself is mostly a modified queen sized metal bedframe, the hitch arm is a mix of a heavy duty square steel tube & pieces from the arm assembly from a satellite dish, & the hitch itself is a repurposed 4" Caster wheel (minus the wheel) bolted to the frame with a piece of steel plate. The end of the hitch arm fits where the wheel used to be, then I just slip a latching pin through all the holes & lock it in place. Been using the same hitch assembly setup for going on 2 years. The RadWagon 4 has something like 6-7K miles on it, I think. The mileage on the display reset twice on me a year & a half ago when I had temporary battery problems. This bike is a monster in spite of its reputation. 😅💪

Yamaha Wabash RT Gravel E-Bike, Class 3 Power-Assist to 28mph mid-drive motor 250W(nominal) 500W(peak) 70Nm Torque, 36 x 500Wh battery. Components are Shimano GRX600 Groupset= 1x11 Speed with 44T Chainring and 11-42T casstte and Hydraulic Disc brakes. Just put 500 miles on it.I'm trying to figure out what accessories to get for my 50-mile daily commute to work. I cruise around 20 mph at standard assist level to get the distance I need. The fastest I went is 33 mph on the flats and 38 mph downhill after 28 mph, all the power comes from me.

Black and blue in the back is a Swft Ebmx 36v 350watt rear hub motor with some vintage parts on it has about 300miles on it now I think after a month then I dove into building the electric cult which is a 500watt to 750watt peak tongshen mid drive kit running on a 52v 10ah pack. Has somewhere between 75 to 100 miles on it from the last 3 days of riding need to dial in the settings not exactly positive the speedo and mileage are accurate, still more bits and pieces on the way for that one in the mail.

Fat Tad CXS literally the cheapest "full suspension" tadpole you can find, now upgraded with (no throttle) Tongshen OEM FW, building a rear wheel with Enviolo 380 CVT hub and designing a jackshaft and bash box so I can use Gates tandem bike belt kit and cogs - getting rid of the idler of which I've destroyed three already. That's 75+ bucks plus downtime/repair time each time! And since the mid (actually front drive looool) upgrade it just stretches and breaks the stock links, so yet again motivation for the belt drive upgrade. Oddly enough there's a bicycle fabrication shop over behind Scappoose (Oregon) not far from me, so I'm going to have them quote it after I get the rough CAD sketches together. If all the work is under $500 then it's a bargain; I'll probably have them do the work even if it's a solid kbuck because it's worth it to have it be strong and top performing as I put it into absolutely brutal and grueling conditions.
I don't use clip ons but I do have easy straps so it holds my left leg on, which is why I had to get power assist in the first place (I lost part of my spinal cord due to an accident, left leg don't work so hot no more and you can't exercise out of it - I have tried so hard and it always ends up in the hospital). This thing already ripped hard before it got powered up - now I get air at the BMX park (and break the idler by smashing down lol). I also broke and idler and sacrificed some blood at the skatepark here too - upper bowl twofer...rear wheel is being upgraded with Vee eHuntsman tire during the IGH upgrade and the front wheels (I'm designing a frictionless braking system) will be Speedsters when the front wheels get rebuilt. The brakes are all currently fried from an unexpected forced 1500 foot continuous descent, and that was terrifying. Reluctance based motors are light and don't require magnets or copper and can be designed to provide regen too (the big hurdle is dumping the heat generated if I'm on a serious grade for any length of time).
I'm also working on designs for the front suspension but I haven't really landed on the path yet; there's a few ways to go with it and I've been watching a LOT of things like King of Hammers and NORRA to understand high performance off road suspensions and scale it back to what I can stuff onto this little frame.
I mean to post progress, but I don't have a shop bench right now so I've been stalled out. I really can't get to the outside (again, I'm in Oregon, if you live here you better like doing camping, mudding, and generally outdoorsy stuff) without this thing so it sucks but waiting it out until I can start working on it again.
I don't have a throttle so it gets stupid range; I've ridden it for a few hours and still barely took it down to last bar. I plan to add a double mount and dynos/drum brakes to the trailer (yes, I've got a standard little bike trailer and am upgrading it too) so I can charge up batteries/power station while riding to wherever I'm camping/riding/etc.
I am also working on a folding/travel bike for disabled/seniors that instead of folding sideways will fold front/back so they can step through and have it fold UP underneath them, and then use a hand or foot lever to lock the bike open and ready to ride/drive (also remote or follow modules, so mom and dad can just follow along with an invisible train lol and I'm the "engine").

I am also working on this two wheeler (suspension as well) so I can get back on single track and the cat trike is super fast on the road and came with a motor already so I've been considering turning it into a hybrid cruising road trike with stupid long range (target 650+ miles without needing to refuel/find an outlet).

Very cool build, i made something similar with the BBSHD, Em3ev's 14s7p, 4 piston brakes, Lekkie Bling, etc. Everything upgraded over the years, not even a screw left thats still original. Bike is 13 years old, conversion 4 years old and still rides like new and im still in love with it.
I also really dig your lighting, is it connected to the wiring harness or does it have its own battery?

My front light is a Type-C one by Newboler (AliExpress), it also functions as an emergency power bank. I have a taillight too, also type C, that one has a remote on the handlebars with alarm, horn, turn signal, brake lights (accelerometer-based). It's pretty helpful. I carry a little 65W USB-C PD pack (Baseus) in the front bag to top them off as needed.
X-Class 1A, Graffiti 1B. I kinda wish the X-Class had a 2nd stock battery, though. Or that the Graffiti had turn signals and a bell/horn. These 2 bikes combined would be the perfect bike, imo.

Peggy is built from an XL 2013 Salsa Beargrease frame. The Wheels are 4 inch Surly Marge lites wrapped with 45NRTH HuskerDu's. 52v/20Ah battery with a bafang 1500 watt mid drive. Rotors are 180mm front and back with 4 piston zoom brakes. The front fork is a cheapy ZTZ with 120mm of travel. I am using a CBL1700 magicshine front light.
I also have a dropper so i dont have to lift my ass so much when loading it.
edit...range. i'm a big guy, shes a big bike and that greatly affects these numbers. at 225 watts of pedal assist i can get 80 miles....probably more with some optimization in the controller. on my regular saint paul to Minneapolis and back ride i can get about 25 miles and thats very aggressive city riding at top watts when i can hit them. i built it for grocery getting, bikepacking, and well...just because.
the pic i took there. it was a wfh day, i rode across the cities to a coffee shop and worked all afternoon. when i was done i picked about 7 miles of blue diamond trail to ride back on instead of the road....it was a fucking blast. I am a lifelong cyclist and ive been out road and mountain biking as early as this morning. the ebike gives me the freedom to enjoy all the cycling skills i have but with none of the effort.

Tried to get them all in one shot, but couldn’t get my Aniioki A8 in here.
1. Aniioki A8, 52V 60ah, 1400W, around 700 miles. Will do roughly 100 miles per charge on flat-out throttle (and I weigh around 260lbs)
2. Dynalion K7-2, 48v 16ah, 1000W with claimed 1500w peak, only about 100 miles right now and already have issues with the controller and one of the brakes. Shitty bike but it has its uses (for now).
3. Haoqi Rhino, 48V 26ah, 1000W, just hit a thousand miles and I love it. Will easily do around 50-60 miles per charge, even with my fat ass straddling it.
4. Nakto F2, 48v 16ah, 500w with 750w peak, only has about 10 miles on it now, but this one is becoming my first modded bike and I’m curious to see what happens.
5. Haoqi Cheetah, 48v, dual batteries and I forget the specs, 750w, only a few hundred miles but this is the bike I ride mostly for exercise (poor range despite this). The rear suspension is very well done though for a shitty, no-name brand.
6. DYU D3F (the little shitty one on my workbench), can’t remember the battery specs but it’s basically just a Jetson Bolt (DYU sold them licensing rights). It’s surprisingly sturdy for what it is and served as a great pit bike back when I used to host monthly car shows, just way too small for someone like me.
My wife and I two years ago both had a Jetson bolt and we enjoyed them granted we are both pretty thin.. a baby was on the way so we weren’t gonna be able to ride them so I sold them. Just recently got myself a brand new bike and got her a brand new bike. Mine Electra Ponto Go.. hers Radwagon 5 with the large basket in the front and a babyseat attachment on the back so now that the baby is getting almost 2 years old, we can all go out riding together

Max speed is 25 km/t or 18 mph, and I get 60 km/38 miles range while doing light pedalling.

E-Ride Pro SS 2.0, 170 miles total, top speed I’ve reached is around 61mph. Range is 30ish miles if I’m riding it aggressively, 50+ miles if I’m being more conservative. Most fun I’ve ever had on wheels! Pre ordered the EBMX X9000 V2 controller for it which will increase the already insane torque with an increase of top speed, controller set to be released around June 15th. Aftermarket parts already on the bike, riser bars, pegs, rotor guard, 220mm floating rotors, all by Warp 9 Racing. Have set of Lewis Tech LHT brakes coming very soon too!!!

I played at launch but left it quickly after. I only picked it up again a few months ago and im surprised how decent it is. It’s definitely a big motivator to get me outside and do my runs or just dick around on this bike. I have a bigger bike but it’s overkill in the park.

Yea, I commuted 30km each day to work with her for a couple years until they banned dogs. She loves it and usually wears doggles to protect her eyes. She is at the top weight range for the seat, (25lb) and usually hangs off one side or the other because she likes to look cool while riding. Seat and platform is padded. It's a bit of a science project I've been working on for a while that runs on a 4kW agricultural drone motor. The battery capacity isn't great at only 12Ah but that's enough to get me 15-20 miles. The main strength of the battery is that it'll do 90A comfortably, and at 52V nominal there's plenty of power on tap. All the black plastic you see holding the battery and other components to the frame is 3D printed nylon which is nice and tough. I haven't gotten a chance to test the top speed flat out yet but I've done 50 so far. For long term cruising the motor is more comfortable around 35-40 but I'm planning to water cool the motor to get that up a bit. The motor spins at 100 rpm per volt so around 5200 rpm, which when combined with the 9 speed "transmission" makes this thing have a sound and riding experience all it's own. A large chunk of the real work on this project has gone into the PID control system that runs on an ESP32 microcontroller since the ESC was not remotely designed for this type of thing and isn't programmable. I won't get too deep into that side of it right now though

I'd be a bit nervous about the wheel bearings those speeds, but I guess you'll find out what is going to be the failure points, hopefully not at speed. Okie dokie. Rad Power RadWagon 4 with a homemade trailer made entirely from repurposed materials. The trailer itself is mostly a modified queen sized metal bedframe, the hitch arm is a mix of a heavy duty square steel tube & pieces from the arm assembly from a satellite dish, & the hitch itself is a repurposed 4" Caster wheel (minus the wheel) bolted to the frame with a piece of steel plate. The end of the hitch arm fits where the wheel used to be, then I just slip a latching pin through all the holes & lock it in place. Been using the same hitch assembly setup for going on 2 years. The RadWagon 4 has something like 6-7K miles on it, I think. The mileage on the display reset twice on me a year & a half ago when I had temporary battery problems. Has somewhere between 75 to 100 miles on it from the last 3 days of riding need to dial in the settings not exactly positive the speedo and mileage are accurate, still more bits and pieces on the way for that one in the mail.

That's 75+ bucks plus downtime/repair time each time! And since the mid (actually front drive looool) upgrade it just stretches and breaks the stock links, so yet again motivation for the belt drive upgrade. Oddly enough there's a bicycle fabrication shop over behind Scappoose (Oregon) not far from me, so I'm going to have them quote it after I get the rough CAD sketches together. If all the work is under $500 then it's a bargain; I'll probably have them do the work even if it's a solid kbuck because it's worth it to have it be strong and top performing as I put it into absolutely brutal and grueling conditions. I don't use clip ons but I do have easy straps so it holds my left leg on, which is why I had to get power assist in the first place (I lost part of my spinal cord due to an accident, left leg don't work so hot no more and you can't exercise out of it - I have tried so hard and it always ends up in the hospital). This thing already ripped hard before it got powered up - now I get air at the BMX park (and break the idler by smashing down lol). I also broke and idler and sacrificed some blood at the skatepark here too - upper bowl twofer...rear wheel is being upgraded with Vee eHuntsman tire during the IGH upgrade and the front wheels (I'm designing a frictionless braking system) will be Speedsters when the front wheels get rebuilt. The brakes are all currently fried from an unexpected forced 1500 foot continuous descent, and that was terrifying. Reluctance based motors are light and don't require magnets or copper and can be designed to provide regen too (the big hurdle is dumping the heat generated if I'm on a serious grade for any length of time). I'm also working on designs for the front suspension but I haven't really landed on the path yet; there's a few ways to go with it and I've been watching a LOT of things like King of Hammers and NORRA to understand high performance off road suspensions and scale it back to what I can stuff onto this little frame. I mean to post progress, but I don't have a shop bench right now so I've been stalled out. I really can't get to the outside (again, I'm in Oregon, if you live here you better like doing camping, mudding, and generally outdoorsy stuff) without this thing so it sucks but waiting it out until I can start working on it again. I don't have a throttle so it gets stupid range; I've ridden it for a few hours and still barely took it down to last bar. I plan to add a double mount and dynos/drum brakes to the trailer (yes, I've got a standard little bike trailer and am upgrading it too) so I can charge up batteries/power station while riding to wherever I'm camping/riding/etc. I am also working on a folding/travel bike for disabled/seniors that instead of folding sideways will fold front/back so they can step through and have it fold UP underneath them, and then use a hand or foot lever to lock the bike open and ready to ride/drive (also remote or follow modules, so mom and dad can just follow along with an invisible train lol and I'm the "engine"). Very cool build, i made something similar with the BBSHD, Em3ev's 14s7p, 4 piston brakes, Lekkie Bling, etc. Everything upgraded over the years, not even a screw left thats still original. Bike is 13 years old, conversion 4 years old and still rides like new and im still in love with it. Heck yeah, nice build!!! Huge fan of the aesthetic. And thank you! My front light is a Type-C one by Newboler (AliExpress), it also functions as an emergency power bank. I have a taillight too, also type C, that one has a remote on the handlebars with alarm, horn, turn signal, brake lights (accelerometer-based). It's pretty helpful. I carry a little 65W USB-C PD pack (Baseus) in the front bag to top them off as needed.

X-Class 1A, Graffiti 1B. I kinda wish the X-Class had a 2nd stock battery, though. Or that the Graffiti had turn signals and a bell/horn. These 2 bikes combined would be the perfect bike, imo.

The Wheels are 4 inch Surly Marge lites wrapped with 45NRTH HuskerDu's. 52v/20Ah battery with a bafang 1500 watt mid drive. Rotors are 180mm front and back with 4 piston zoom brakes. The front fork is a cheapy ZTZ with 120mm of travel. I am using a CBL1700 magicshine front light. I also have a dropper so i dont have to lift my ass so much when loading it. edit...range. i'm a big guy, shes a big bike and that greatly affects these numbers. at 225 watts of pedal assist i can get 80 miles....probably more with some optimization in the controller. on my regular saint paul to Minneapolis and back ride i can get about 25 miles and thats very aggressive city riding at top watts when i can hit them. i built it for grocery getting, bikepacking, and well...just because. the pic i took there. it was a wfh day, i rode across the cities to a coffee shop and worked all afternoon. when i was done i picked about 7 miles of blue diamond trail to ride back on instead of the road....it was a fucking blast. I am a lifelong cyclist and ive been out road and mountain biking as early as this morning. the ebike gives me the freedom to enjoy all the cycling skills i have but with none of the effort.

Aniioki A8, 52V 60ah, 1400W, around 700 miles. Will do roughly 100 miles per charge on flat-out throttle (and I weigh around 260lbs) 2. Dynalion K7-2, 48v 16ah, 1000W with claimed 1500w peak, only about 100 miles right now and already have issues with the controller and one of the brakes. Shitty bike but it has its uses (for now). 3. Haoqi Rhino, 48V 26ah, 1000W, just hit a thousand miles and I love it. Will easily do around 50-60 miles per charge, even with my fat ass straddling it. 4. Nakto F2, 48v 16ah, 500w with 750w peak, only has about 10 miles on it now, but this one is becoming my first modded bike and I’m curious to see what happens. 5. Haoqi Cheetah, 48v, dual batteries and I forget the specs, 750w, only a few hundred miles but this is the bike I ride mostly for exercise (poor range despite this). The rear suspension is very well done though for a shitty, no-name brand. 6. DYU D3F (the little shitty one on my workbench), can’t remember the battery specs but it’s basically just a Jetson Bolt (DYU sold them licensing rights). It’s surprisingly sturdy for what it is and served as a great pit bike back when I used to host monthly car shows, just way too small for someone like me.
My wife and I two years ago both had a Jetson bolt and we enjoyed them granted we are both pretty thin.. a baby was on the way so we weren’t gonna be able to ride them so I sold them. Just recently got myself a brand new bike and got her a brand new bike. Mine Electra Ponto Go.. hers Radwagon 5 with the large basket in the front and a babyseat attachment on the back so now that the baby is getting almost 2 years old, we can all go out riding together

Range is 30ish miles if I’m riding it aggressively, 50+ miles if I’m being more conservative. Most fun I’ve ever had on wheels! Pre ordered the EBMX X9000 V2 controller for it which will increase the already insane torque with an increase of top speed, controller set to be released around June 15th. Aftermarket parts already on the bike, riser bars, pegs, rotor guard, 220mm floating rotors, all by Warp 9 Racing. Have set of Lewis Tech LHT brakes coming very soon too!!!
