My go-to for these things is DiskDrill Pro, but in most cases with CFast, if the card was formatted in the camera body the data is already gone. Sorry :/

If Alexa your out of luck as the Alexa zeroes the card as well as formatting the header.
Any other camera I wouldn’t know but you might as well try many of the hundreds of media recovery apps out there.

I formatted a card once, searched high and low how to sort it. Couldn't do it, Nearly had a heart attack. Owned up to it.

Pretty sure it’s gone. In my experience, data recovery is generally for a damaged card not one that’s been wiped.
You need to get out more. Most formats aren't secure formats
And yet I don’t see you providing the solution... if you’ve got a way to recover a formatted camera card then throw the guy some help
Just own up and tell them what you've done. It won't be pretty, but you'll feel better afterwards.
