Geogaddi king

zoobs

Three (3) Albums?! You’re killing me! DJ Shadow - Endtroducing Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole Underworld - Beaucoup Fish Lol I hate making these lists! I think I covered some timeless ground for my tastes.

Nieces

Back with another one of those block rockin' beats!

Gubesz23

bwaaaaang WEEEEEU WEEU WEEU WEEEEEEEEE

playlistpro

Beaucoup fish cracks me up since they sampled a Cajun dude talking about his life jacket from Wal-Mart and preferred fishing spots. I guess that dialect must sound extra peculiar if you've never heard it before.

Decent-Boysenberry72

was that shadow album from that documentary Dark Days? or separate, LOVE that film.

zoobs

I’ve never actually seen Dark Days but it looks like it features music from Endtroducing and elsewhere.

magnetncone

Jumbo

tykeryerson

Exit Planet Dust …. And we got a deal

knudude

Excellent Top 3, my friend!

zoobs

Thanks, [bud!](https://independentmusic.reviews/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/mr-oizo-flat-beat-1664974684-512749953-1664974684-196686425.jpg)

Sticky_Bandit

Pretty much the same for me, except I swapped Daft Punk - Discovery for Underworld

zoobs

Believe me, It pained me to leave out Daft Punk. Like I have been saying, curse making lists! *shakes fist*

rayliam

1. Aphex Twin - Syro 2. Flying Lotus - Until The Quiet Comes 3. Drexciya - Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller I - IV

SnowDucks1985

Love seeing the Syro representation 🎉🍻

EhPearl

Love to see the Drexciya

Nyndelol

Is this guy me?

rock3raccoon

Burial - Untrue Royksopp - Junior Massive Attack - Mezzanine Really difficult to narrow it down to just three, but those ones probably define my taste more than anything.

Nieces

Fucking based. Royksopp mentioned I love it

nova2wl

Burial - Untrue Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works **3 way tie:** 2 8 1 4 - Birth of a new day BT - ESCM Sasha - Involver

Nieces

Burial is absolutely timeless

olraque

ESCM is in my top 3 as well. Flaming June always brings me back. It was an amazing time to be discovering music.

Anonnumber666

Flaming June is a beast. Had the privilege of seeing him at Homelands in 2000. Always went to techno clubs/events so never really crossed paths but loved a bit of BT.

7dwn

Birth of a new day is just so good...

SkullLeader

I dunno if these sorts of lists are meant to include DJ mixes but for me Airdrawndagger > Invol2ver > Involver - but all are ace. and BT ESCM I am way down with that, has at least 3 of my top electronic songs (Remember, Flaming June, Content)

Sweet-Palpitation473

Broken Soul Jamboree by Tipper Heads by Ott Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland by Shpongle

nicolauz

This guy kets

TrumanDolos

🤣🤣🤣

Sweet-Palpitation473

Believe it or not, dead sober 😂 but in the past youda been right

nicolauz

Saw him live in 13 & 14 and it was the 2 best shows I've ever seen.

Accomplished_Goat448

This is dope thanks man

Ultima22

Justice - Cross The Avalanches - Since I Left You Mat Zo - Damage Control

weeman774

Gjones - The Ineffable Truth Nero - Welcome Reality Mersiv - Pretty Dark Loud

Nieces

*YOU GOT ME SO WILD* No but seriously I remember them using that track as the music to promote Beats headphones and it was so effective. That track aged like fine wine.

weeman774

Its so good.

treehann

G Jones is for sure one of the best producers right now

AldiQuarter

Based on how im feeling currently: Arca - Mutant The Campfire Headphase - Boards of Canada Four Tet - There is Love in You

Gubesz23

Aw, anyone who loves "There Is Love In You" is a good person

feastandexist

* Jon Hopkins - Immunity * Tycho - Awake * Bonobo - Black Sands More recently - keep coming back to Tinlicker's latest album for some reason. It's not a perfect album and there are one or two songs I skip, but most of it is solid. For Jon Hopkins fans, the second drop of In Your Eyes oof. Strawberry is a gorgeous song, as well

SnowDucks1985

Very very nice taste here! Black Sands is just a legendary album, easily top 10 best electronic album of all time

Nieces

The first time I heard Open Eye Signal I got actual chills

ObstructiveAgreement

The new Hopkins album is great too. Had advance listening in London where they were capturing visuals and it was wonderful

veRGe1421

Love these selections.

ASTR0nomic4L

woah i’ve actually heard all of these! i’d expect you to like epoch more than awake because you like immunity tbh

feastandexist

I do love Epoch, but went with Awake as I have some personal memories attached to it :)

ASTR0nomic4L

oh i get that, i listened to all of tychos albums at once so i have memories with the whole experience and certain drops and moments

gangbrain

That first time hearing Awake (the song) was THE call to arms. I will never forget that moment.

feastandexist

Actually took my mother to see the live band perform. She had never been to an electronic show before but walked away amazed

crispymulder

My favorite list, thus far. We have eerily similar taste lol Only difference is that I would maybe switch out Tycho for Caribou’s Our Love or Jamie xx’s In Colour. Tycho is on my list of favorite live sets, though! Black Sands is an absolute gem and an underrated masterpiece IMO. I’m glad Green ended up getting a good amount of acclaim and recognition for Migration, it’s well deserved

feastandexist

In Colour is 100% added to this list if I could expand to 4 albums. Adore so many songs on it. I loved Our Love as well

Worth-Candidate-2559

Daft Punk - Discovery Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children Kraftwerk - Trans-Europe Express

Olofadell

Like everyone says - choosing just three albums is impossible. From the top of my head, though: Massive Attack - Protection John Beltran - Ten Days of Blue Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman Looooots of runners up

Nieces

Massive Attack mentioned

NotTakenName1

Not seeing James Holden mentioned anywhere yet? Imo his album "the inheritors" is pushing the genre into new places. Especially "the caterpillar's intervention". Renata being the absolute favorite though... - James Holden - The Inheritors - Floating Points - Crush - Blondes - Blondes

Gubesz23

A wild expert knob twiddlers in it's natural habitat? what a based take

Decent-Boysenberry72

just checked out "Bike" nice jam dude.

tfWindman

Here are mine with a little elevator pitch for each. 808 State - Don Solaris. This album has a sound like no other, blending dance, world, and rock music (as well as what seems like billions of other genres) into a cohesive package. The atmosphere on every track between the wild bookends is so warm and inviting. Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92. I think the fact this album is one of the most cited ones in the thread says enough. Pilotredsun - Achivement. At first, it may look like a shitpost by a surrealistic animator, but it is actually an excellently made collection of little tunes. Each track, while simple in structure, brings its own kind of goofy atmosphere to the table while remaining equally as emotionally impactful.

ubn87

Gidge - New Light Nicolas Jaar - Space is only noise Eric Prydz - Opus

passingby

Opus, yessssss

Gubesz23

I can only do 5 - Susumu Hirasawa - Technique of Relief - The Avalanches - Since I Left You - DJ Shadow - ...endtroducing - Autechre - Exai - Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxygene I feel like these 5 are the most definite personal favourites, like even a bit above the other 10/10 albums I have

watashiwaluka

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works DeadMau5 - For a lack of a better name Vril - Anima Mundi

ObstructiveAgreement

Bloody love Vril, so underrated.

Nieces

I personally believe *Strobe* is one of the greatest club tracks ever created.

SnowDucks1985

Good taste fam!! ✊🏽✊🏽 I’m a bit more partial to >Album Title Goes Here<, but the Ghosts N’ Stuff/Strobe combo goes hard af 🔥

I'll always say it, Liam is an absolute legend. He was pumping those tracks out in his bedroom in his parents house. It wasn't until Jilted that he got into a proper studio.
