i have the arizer solo 2. it is easy to use, easy to clean. they just came out with an upgrade to arizer solo 3. i bought it on planet of the vapes. 💜

Motor-Sprinkles-5949

Saaaammmee. Love my Solo 2!! I have a PAX 3 also, but use my Solo daily. PAX is only for travel/discretion usually or if someone is partaking with me. I've gone in depth with pros and cons both prior, so I won't type a dissertation. But as long as you get one that's highly rated and fits your budget, go for it! They can be pretty inexpensive and all the way up to omg $$$$.

vacuums_galore

I want your dissertation! Haha can I get a link to that comparison?

Motor-Sprinkles-5949

I'll paste it for you here. Apologies in advance for the length or anything not relevant. I just went back and used the search to find it quickly in my comment history! See below unedited in full 🙂... It can definitely be overwhelming, but they've come a long way. Besides health reasons, you actually taste the nuances in the strains and save a ton of money by vaping instead of burning your weed. Plus, you have AVB after, if that's your thing. I literally can't go through weed quick enough. I'll buy a few 8th's to try new product and they'll last forever since I get like 15 good sessions out of it, rather than 3 joints or so. Each sesh is .2-.3g usually. I have both a PAX 3 and Arizer Solo II for portable vaping. They are game changers, but I also use them in the house more often than outside or travel, simply so I am not tethered. The smell is very little and dissipates quickly, especially if there's a bathroom fan or open window. Both are pretty great at battery life. Some quick notes: The PAX gets a lot of hate, but it has advantages. It's pretty compact, easily fits in my pocket, though some newer DHVs are small too. But when it first came out, the size and style were a big selling point. It's also very discreet if you use a particular setting (vapor and smell wise). However, it was/is expensive and there's a learning curve. I've had mine probably 6 years now, was $300 then for the higher end one (comes with a concentrate adapter), you can get it for $200-250 now, sometimes even less. My Solo II is bigger, still travel friendly, but not discreet, really. I don't see many negatives spoken about it and I don't have many. It has some glass parts, so you'll likely break a stem at some point. But the vapor doesn't travel through the device, so it's easier to clean and not near the electronics. I paid $139 for it, so much cheaper. A newer version just came out, I like the new USB-C charger on it, but there wasn't enough differences overall for me to upgrade. POTV is a great site for other vapes, too. They just got over their 4/20 sale, but have tons of reasonably priced vapes normally, including their own brand. Sorry for the long post. I get a little nerdy about my weed and consumption methods 🤓🍃

vacuums_galore

OMG i love this analysis so much!!!! Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🤩

ihave4kidneys

I wasn't a fan of PAX or Arizer Solo 2 (although the latter was deff better than the former) - curious if you've tried any others you can compare the Arizer to? Makes me think I'm using it wrong or something. I do LOVE my Lobo however.

Motor-Sprinkles-5949

Both absolutely have a learning curve with packing/prepping, grind, how hard you pull, and temp to use to vape. The Solo 2 was WAY easier to figure out, the PAX was definitely more trial and error. It's not you at all! It shouldn't be as difficult as it is, but I understand that there's so many variables. The biggest issue with the PAX for me was that you have to pack it really tight and draw pretty slow. You can't just suck in hard like a joint or bong. The Solo isn't nearly as temperamental. I actually got press devices for both, the PAX works much better that way. For the Solo, it can be handy for preparing and keeping them "ready," but I still usually just pack it by hand and keep my glass clean. There's so many options though, so I'm glad you find one you like! I love that they're more common and still growing. There's options for all budgets and specs.

ihave4kidneys

This was gold, thank you.

mmabpa

I love my Solo arizer 2 so much I bought a replacement when my cat knocked (aka swiped with her paw on purpose) my first arizer 2 into her water bowl. Lesson learned- i charge it now far from cat activities and even bought a 3rd one for my sister who is anti-combustion.

saltycouchpotato

Cat activities, or, cat-ivities, if you will.

alexmichal

I have the arizer air and it's wonderful! It's a bit less expensive than the solo and it definitely gets the job done :)

iamprobablycryin

How is this for a sesh with two people? Or on the go? Edit- and how is the smell?

happyfrowers

Sesh with multiple people is easy, especially with a wpa (included) to connect to a bong. The solo 3 comes with their xl bowl, and that is perfect for a session with multiple people. Also with the solo 3 their demand mode makes it very easy for unfamiliar people to use - works just like smoking out of a bong (the visual guide on the screen makes it super user friendly). For smell, I live in a cannabis-free apartment but I get away with vaporizing plus a small room air filter. It might have a little smell linger for an hour or so, but otherwise unnoticeable

AlessaBurns

This is my old one, definitely recommend if you want something not too pricy but good for the money!

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

I have a Fury Edge and dosing caps. It’s very portable! I got it as a more portable thing than Arizer Solo II, which has glass tubes and is a better session piece. But both are great!

abby61497

I have a POTV Lobo and it works great!

ihave4kidneys

THIS. The arizer solo 2 always gets recommended, so I pulled the trigger and was kinda bummed out by it. It's NOT pocketable, and looks silly trying to take it anywhere. The only benefit in my opinion, is it could easily be used as a weapon lol - very heavy duty. The lobo fits in a woman's hand, fits in a woman's pocket even. The green is pretty, and you can have fun with a bunch of the different glassware that potv sells. The bubbler is pretty fun, and the WPA adapter lets you hook it up to your bong if you have one. Another plus is that the battery is removeable, so you can just get a new one when the charge stops holding. Also dosing capsules are a pretty great feature too. I found this guide helpful if youre looking for specific features: [https://www.planetofthevapes.com/blogs/guide/best-portable-dry-herb-vaporizer-guide](https://www.planetofthevapes.com/blogs/guide/best-portable-dry-herb-vaporizer-guide)

Remarkable_Year657

I have a POTV XMAX V3 Pro. I was going back and forth between this and the POTV Lobo. I really wanted a replaceable battery because I feel it’s the first thing to go in so many devices. The XMAX was cheaper so I ended up with it and I have loved it so far.

Wise_Neighborhood499

I got an xmax v3 pro because it was small, easy to replace parts, and cheap. I’ve dropped mine way too many times and broken the ceramic insert and multiple bubbler mouthpieces but the vape itself is still going strong! It’s been over 2 years now and I’m just starting to notice that the battery isn’t holding a charge as long.

comprehenbrick

Second this - I’ve just entered the world of DHV and rate the temp controls, portability, battery, easily replaceable features etc.  It’s discreet-ish (from non-legal country) and this was a more affordable purchase for me right now - looking at a Pax in the future for full discretion and pocketability.  100% get dosing caps and glass mouthpiece from the offset!! Easy to maintain n store.

Feelsthelove

I have the Rogue by Healthy Rips and I really enjoy it. I have a bunch of dosing capsules that are really easy to pop in and swap.

kmm198700

Arizer Solo 2 or 3

vacuums_galore

For me, it was important that the quality of the device was good but also has interchangeable battery and easy to clean! After doing some research, I decided on TinyMight2 and it has been amazing! Easy to clean, ton of accessories, sturdy, interchangeable battery and most of all, I use way less 🍃!!!! It’s really paid itself off in 3 months :)

Clover_Hollow

And beast mode through a wpa.....oh my god...hahah. It's legit. I love mine.

vacuums_galore

Omggg tell me more about how you use the beast mode hahah haven’t gone that far yet!!

Thepeaceleaf31

Ive been using 510 carts because they are convenient and better on my wealth but this is another main reason I want to switch to dry herb vaping again (I had a dyna vap) and lived it but it's just not practical anymore thanks for.ylur reply

vacuums_galore

Yeah I am not familiar with that one and have used disposable cartridges as well as pax, bong, dab rig, etc and by far TM2’s vapor quality and flavor could not be compared. Especially at a low temp, you can really taste the strain! I was super hesitant due to the price but there are entexchange discords where they have buy/sell trade channels I hope you find a good one. I also use mine for medical reasons and a good one when you can’t even smoke/vape is this tablet called pro tab and they have a Lights out version and it’s so helpful with pain management.

RedCliffsDaisy

If you microdose I think you should look at the DaVinci Micro. It sells for $99 on sale. This was my very first DHV. I discovered my natural tolerance for THC was high and I didn't quite get the relief I needed from the small dose sometimes so I ended up buying their higher end IQ2 and I love it! I recently bought a PLOTV Lobo and so far I'm enjoying how simple it is and how easy it is to clean. It's about half the cost of the IQ2 and doesn't have all the features but it's a great little every day sess DHV. My best recommendation is you decide what one you want regardless of cost and save. Of course onky if this is an option for you. I wasted $99. Do some research on line, ask bud tenders if your in a legal state

loveinvein

I’ve got an Xmax v2 pro and I love it. Keep coming back to it after trying other stuff at different price points. (Never tried a mighty though.) It’s easy to load, pretty easy to keep clean (I scrape it out with a toothpick when it’s warm, and keep a couple mouthpieces and WPA’s on hand, soaking in ISO so there’s always a clean one). One bowl lasts awhile. It’s got an isolated air path and ceramic chamber. One of the vapes I tried (Xmax v3) gave me an allergic reaction (possibly from the heating element, which I believe is now made of a different alloy than when I tried it) so now I stick to isolated air paths to be on the safe side.

beneathemoon73

I made the switch couple months ago and bought a Lobo. Loving it so far!

jbf68

I just got a crafty+ and while I do love it, you could definitely get the same effect with a cheaper option

Clover_Hollow

I bought the POTV ONE as my first and it hits through a water piece attachment. But I eventually upgraded to the Tiny Might 2 and I love it. Eventually I would love to own a desktop vape!

doodleldog10

yesss I just got one after wanting one for forever and am converted for life! I got a battery-less one but my dad got the POTV One which he’s really happy with so far and has a battery

trapperxdelight

I love my crafty+ <33

VictoryMatcha

I have a Crafty+ which is great. It might be slightly more than you want to spend but I got mine on sale.

Green-Masterpiece42

I have the mighty and I really like it. I've dropped it quite a few times and it weather's it well. Not too hard to clean. Only goes to 210 °c I believe some may go higher

NightHowler13

If you're looking for something budget friendly I'd go with a POTV ONE or Lobo or a Lookah Ice Cream. The POTVs can also have different mouthpieces, bubblers, and even dosing capsules added as well as pads for concentrates (just not hash). You can also try an Ooze Verge, but Ooze seems to be a love or hate brand 😅.

mint_o

Do you have experience with the lookah ice cream? I dont see people talk about it online much but it's the one they recommend the most to me locally.

NightHowler13

I bought one within the last month and am happy with it so far! The only cons I've noted are the battery life (+ inability to check battery level) and limited temperature adjustment (you have to choose between 4 specific temps, none of which are low enough for my preference). It produces decent clouds, is ready to vape as soon as it hits temp (I've had to wait another 15-30s with other vapes), and the flavor is better than any other dry herb vape device I've tried. It's easy to clean, and Lookah added this cool cover thing over the mesh guard so it doesn't get filled with flower and blocked as easily as other vapes. It does heat up more than I'd like (even on low), but since I don't do full seshes it hasn't really been a problem for me so far. It also goes through bud faster than some of my others, but I wouldn't really call that a problem since you use so little anyway. The only other thing I can think of is that, even though it's made of plastic, it doesn't necessarily feel cheap (ya know, other than being plastic lol). Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying one!

mint_o

Thank you so much for the reply!!!

NightHowler13

No problem ☺️!

introvertedpnw

I have a Roffu. They are about $120 USD and are great. You can do session or on demand, change temps, use capsules, get a bong adaptor, etc.. I love mine so much. Edit to add, you can change out the battery or charge the battery in the roffu. It's great!

sapphirexxgoddess

I just got a Roffu and like it except cleaning seems to be a hassle! What’s your routine - any tips?

pleaseleevmealone

Have you bought the dosing capsules? It makes cleaning much easier and less frequent. I take mine apart every Friday, drop the metal bits in isopropyl alcohol, rub the rest with a q-tip, then scrub down the soaking bits. It takes me about 10 minutes tops.

introvertedpnw

The first time I cleaned it, it was a hot mess. Now I fill a tiny Tupperware with isopropyl alcohol and pop out the filter (I take it out of the silicone, too), chamber, and dirty capsules and let them soak for a bit. I scrub with the multitool/pipe cleaner and pop everything back together and away we go. It felt so chaotic figuring out where and how everything went together. It gets easier, I promise!

EeveeAssassin

I'm a medical cannabis patient in Ontario and purchased my Pax2 through my medical provider! Nothing too fancy or fussy, easy to use and clean, and makes my cannabis taste good - the terpenes are super prominent, especially at lower temps! I appreciate the small size of the Pax, and find that it really stretches out my cannabis use. I often pack the oven with CBD flower and have between 3 and 5 sessions out of one oven full! It's also really nice to use throughout the day as setup is minimal and there aren't a lot of accessories or a steep learning curve to deal with :)

NerfRepellingBoobs

I’m using a Pax 3, and I love it. I got the water pipe adapter for 4/20, and talk about flavor! Love the concentrate, too. Plus, saving the ABV keeps cost down.

pkpeace1

I bought a G Pen pro. I really didn’t like it. Maybe I should revisit it.

Main_Push5429

I haven’t seen the Pro but I have a Dash by GPen and I love mine. It’s small and easy to clean if you’re considering another one.

pkpeace1

I use cannabis 24/7 for pain management after 16 years of pain management: opiates. RSO and FECO work very well for me… but sometimes I want to smoke. My hands are messed up from a stroke so rolling is out of the question. I’ve tried. I bought the g pen because they were on sale pretty cheap based on no clue. I’m rambling 😂✌🏼🌻

ihave4kidneys

G Pens are not great so that's probably why you didn't like it haha

AlessaBurns

I have and recommend the Tinymight 2, it heats up insanely fast, has temp adjustment, looks pretty and your standard mouth piece comes with built in cooler, which end is the sieve, where you put your stuff in. It's adjustable so you can microdose greatly or stuff a whole lot in it if you prefer.  For outside times, I use the "balls" mouth tube with dosing capsules, which can be prefilled and stored in a little tube and you can take it all with you, ready to go. I'd attach a picture here but don't know how to do that  because I'm a reddit noob xD  Edit: Many recommend Storz & Bickel vapes as well, I don't have experience but chose the TM2 over those purely because it looks nicer and I love the adjustable filling chamber.  TM2 batteries don't last very long though if you're a frequent vaper, if so, I recommend buying extra batteries, I also got a big charger for those, so I don't charge my TM2 directly, just the batteries.

Main_Push5429

I have a [GPen](https://www.gpen.com/products/g-pen-dash). It’s on the cheaper end, small, easy to fill and when it needs cleaning I just rinse the mouthpiece with the solution I use to clean my glass pipes.

Aster_Jax

I've been using the Zeus Arc GT since 2018. It's repairable/has replaceable components, though I've only had to replace the mouthpiece once. It's a bit on a investment, but just keeps going so absolutely worth it, nice small size. Looks like they're on the third generation now...

batty48

I got a semi basic model from ooze a while back & it works pretty well. [brink 1800 ](https://www.oozelife.com/products/ooze-brink-sapphire-blue-1) It's small & portable, about palm sized. I love that I can use the flower in the vaporizer & then it's already decarbed for edibles or I can smoke it later Definitely go through way less flower this way!

BooksAndTamagotchis

My partner and I use the Solo Arizer II and love every second of it. We've had them for about 2 ½ years and truly will never not dry herb vape like that 🤌🏻
