I had a \~1,600+ rating mismatch last week; 2,463+\~2,950 vs. 2,051 + 1,770. The 1,770 proceeded to donate into his partner having 4 and then call next with nothing into his partner's top3. Either playing on a different account or was the flukiest SOB in existence. Proceeded to lose 12.
There is no winning enough times with these sorts of mismatches. You have to win about 70% of the time to gain rating.

We lost 10-8 after being up 8-1. I’m not blaming anyone. They got hot and I had some dead hands. Nothing I could even do as they were picking it up every time. It happens.

Yep. If you play all the time the clip you have to win at is unsustainable.
I used to play when I was up in the wee hours and couldn't sleep. The risk/reward is barely worth it.
