I dont really follow football but for some reason I love watching every game I can in the euros and world cup
So far most of the games have been entertaining in some way and I hope it keeps up ( england will probably spoil that though )
That's fine, it's just my opinion, and that's yours, you're welcome to it. I personally don't like defensive, safety first football, and I don't find it entertaining.
Remember that in that world cup we played only 2 good teams all tournament, and we lost 3 games.
The world cup, Belgium beat us twice, Croatia once, they were the only good teams they played.
Southgate has a horrible record against big teams.
Also for the euros, England played almost all their games at home, no flying around, no travelling
I've told my work I'm not doing any overtime so will get to see most games, unfortunately going to miss all of Portugals and was excited to see them play, hopefully they go through
I dunno, the 24 team format has changed that. You basically need 3 points to qualify. Germany are practically already through, even if they lose both their remaining games. They will be one of the best third placed teams with their goal difference.
It dilutes the stakes of the group stage a lot.
Does that not back up their point though - it’s tournament football, anything can happen…
Germany have done fuck all at the last two or three international competitions and could very easily win this one.
It doesn't? His point is that the Euros are obviously way harder than the WC, which is just not true. There's an example right there of two finalists crashing out in the group stage.
I agree. Tournament football can be very random.
That's not true. The World Cup has had 13 European teams since the 90's and will have 16 teams in 2026. Last World Cup had Qatar, Canada, and Saudi Arabia and the next WC will have more bad teams. I think Scotland, Georgia, and Albania are probably the worst teams this Euro and I think they're better than the worst teams of any World Cup I've seen.
France v Netherlands is a must watch, we’ve been spoiled over the years coz it’s been quite a regular occurrence in tournaments and qualifying and none of them really disappointed
Because of how 4 3rd place teams get through, if there's any match day 3 3rd place vs 4th place matches both teams will be playing all out, whereas in the world Cup both teams would have given up at that point
I feel like every game should be watched because that’s part of the experience, but if you are going by specific groups Group B and D are the best match wise.
If you are free you should watch all matches. So far every match was good. All in all euro happens once in 4 years so every match is worth watching imo.
France Austria
Germany Hungary
Denmark England
Spain Italy
Netherlands france
Turkey Portugal
Germany Switzerland
Croatia Italy
Netherlands Austria
And then every game after the group stage
Croatia VS Albania, seriously, what a fucking game it was. It is the definition of how football should be, pure chaos and war. If you didn't watch it live, I still suggest you watch it again.

Going by the matches so far: all of them!
A lot of goals, like it🥳
And no player with two goals atm.
The correct answer
Except the England ones :)) based on the latest scores
At least England will make it out the group stage:))
Slovakia Romania - going to be a classic
Odds are it's going to be the "final" for the third spot. Watch us long ball and try 30 crosses for 90 minutes
Prime Barca has nothing on us. 95% possession guaranteed
It looks like we're battling for the 1st :D
Holy shit what a day yesterday
I was lucky enough to go to the match - I don't think I'll ever forget it
Good luck going fwd mate, 1st place well deserved
Good luck to you too mate, really happy we both went through
Group D has the best matches I think. Maybe France vs Netherlands
Austria France is promising too
Don't jinx it 🤞
Yes, it would be fun to see if the high-pressing style of Austria could disrupt the control of a France team with quality in every position.
I dont really follow football but for some reason I love watching every game I can in the euros and world cup So far most of the games have been entertaining in some way and I hope it keeps up ( england will probably spoil that though )
But can you guys do worse than the 2nd half of Italy - Albania?
With Southgate at the wheel, anything is possible, except good quality football
no good quality football? we were in the final of the last euros mate and we’re beat by the runners up in the last world cup
Yeah, but no one said the football was good. Also best not to talk about needing a Sterling dive to beat Denmark to be honest
well i think when u get to the final of the euros and then you are beat in the quarters by the runners up in the world dup. it is good football
That's fine, it's just my opinion, and that's yours, you're welcome to it. I personally don't like defensive, safety first football, and I don't find it entertaining. Remember that in that world cup we played only 2 good teams all tournament, and we lost 3 games.
lol the teams got through. italy and england beat everyone practically.
The world cup, Belgium beat us twice, Croatia once, they were the only good teams they played. Southgate has a horrible record against big teams. Also for the euros, England played almost all their games at home, no flying around, no travelling
2018 fella
You were damn right
We did
Love it! Even the casual fan taking shots at England.
You guys don't watch every game?
Some people have work
Ah right that sucks. I can luckily second screen while at work
I've told my work I'm not doing any overtime so will get to see most games, unfortunately going to miss all of Portugals and was excited to see them play, hopefully they go through
Thats what vacation for!
Excactly! I took this week off to watch the euros and the Stanley Cup. Still got 3.5 weeks left for the Olympics. Partiuuuuu
I try to.
All of them! This is shaping up to be a good tournament
Germany Vs Switzerland should be interesting.
European championship is waaay harder and stronger competition than world championship. All matches count and everything is open for suprises
I dunno, the 24 team format has changed that. You basically need 3 points to qualify. Germany are practically already through, even if they lose both their remaining games. They will be one of the best third placed teams with their goal difference. It dilutes the stakes of the group stage a lot.
Your best player (Modric) says otherwise :) Should I respect your or his opinion?
Disagree, so far all 4 Matches had a clearly dominating team, that was better in almost every aspect.
Hot take
Spain & Italy played in the final of Euro 2012...and then went out in the group stages at WC 2014 Are they stupid?
Does that not back up their point though - it’s tournament football, anything can happen… Germany have done fuck all at the last two or three international competitions and could very easily win this one.
It doesn't? His point is that the Euros are obviously way harder than the WC, which is just not true. There's an example right there of two finalists crashing out in the group stage. I agree. Tournament football can be very random.
I love Scotland, but they're not doing your case justice here. Also I don't think there's been any upsets yet has there?
Mbappé?
Lol no. World Cup is with all the European teams + Some super strong teams from outside Eu like Brazil, Argentina, Chile etc…no comparison
That's not true. The World Cup has had 13 European teams since the 90's and will have 16 teams in 2026. Last World Cup had Qatar, Canada, and Saudi Arabia and the next WC will have more bad teams. Lol
Used to be true, about the same now. Didn't used to get filler teams in the Euros. For Saudi Arabia and Costa Rica we have Scotland and Albania
Scotland and Albania would batter Saudi-Arabia and Albania though, that's the point.
Not necessarily
I don't think Scotland or Albania could batter anyone......
I’m not sure Albania would batter themselves either, would be an interesting watch though
Matches with Germany. The way they play as a team is something
The Finale 😉😂
France v Netherlands is a must watch, we’ve been spoiled over the years coz it’s been quite a regular occurrence in tournaments and qualifying and none of them really disappointed

All the matches, every game three plus goals so far. Netherlands-Poland two goals in the first half.
Serbia-England will be a good watch, telling us where England are in the hierarchy
The Final - France vs. Germany
If you are free you should watch all matches. So far every match was good. All in all euro happens once in 4 years so every match is worth watching imo.
The MMA match in the streets of Gelsenkirchen between England and Serbia!
England Serbia could be a high scoring affair
France Austria Germany Hungary Denmark England Spain Italy Netherlands france Turkey Portugal Germany Switzerland Croatia Italy Netherlands Austria And then every game after the group stage
Spain - Italy and Netherlands - France
Any game with a Balkan team lol
Croatia VS Albania, seriously, what a fucking game it was. It is the definition of how football should be, pure chaos and war. If you didn't watch it live, I still suggest you watch it again.
Serbia Albania
Definitely not Slovenia v Denmark. This is what happens when you extend the tournament so everyone qualifies. Zero quality.
Can't wait for Serbia to thrash the colonists tonight!
It could be an entertaining match to watch: strong attacks + questionable defenses + good keepers = drama
