Wijnaldum is by far the worst player of our squad, at least from the players who actually played. Which says a lot because there are plenty of underwhelming players in our team. There is a lot of criticism why Wijnaldum is selected in the first place. Most people blaming Koeman of favoritism because they worked together during his first term as manager of our NT. I read multiple comments of fans complaining we basically play with 10 players when Wijnaldum is on the pitch.
This is criticism is not for nothing. Today I read he played 70 minutes in 3 matches and has less touches on the ball compared to Weghorst, our pinchhitter who only played 38 minutes.
Most of those guys went to Saudi because they were on the downhill or they wanted an easy path to more money so checked out at least a little compared to being in a top 5 league still. Kante went for strictly religious regions and it shows.
Everybody in Serbia is saying that Saudi players should not be in the squad. They even made analysis for Milinković Savić how he lost energy following Slovenian goal scorer due to playing Saudi league. Watching the replay it made sense
Now do the quality of players from the top European clubs... Kane, Bellingham, Foden, Rice, Upamecano, Lewandowski, De Bruyne, Mbappe, Griezmann... list goes on.
I asked for the Saudi-players, because lots of people said last summer that this will harm their performance. Training intensity too low, games too slow and so on. So I wanted to know if this claims where true.

They have all been poor except for Kante.

Yes, but you can't tell without comparing to others. And if everyone is underperforming, then there's not accurate comparison mechanism.
