It’s always weird seeing other peoples reaction to Brugge. Im from there and I saw this post and my initial thought was: “why is this photo of a random street so popular?”
Really makes you think, I should appreciate it more
It's okay, I'm not from there and I still thought: "You went to Bruges and THIS is what you choose to post?" So many better views. But, to each his own I guess?
Well, I told a few colleagues I wanted to go to Bruges and the majority directly mentioned the film. Incidentally it's one of the reasons I want to go there.
Looking forward to all the ‘In Bruges’ comments saying it’s a beautiful shithole. With 120.000-130.000 ppl it’s not so big but bigger than most ppl think. Most ppl from Bruges laugh themselves with the tourist reputation. In Belgium it’s particularly known for having so many excellent restaurants. Bruges and its surroundings has about 13 Michelin star restaurants and lots of other good restaurants.
he's quoting a very funny Irish movie where 2 Irish hitmen are hiding out in Brugge

The older one (Brendan Gleeson) loves Brugge, but the younger one (Colin Farrell) calls it a s**thole.
Belgium is small enough to see a lot in a few days. Enjoy and welcome!!:-)
Don't forgot to go to a "frituur" for some fries and a frikandel special :-)
Absolutely majestic city! I loved it during the summer and would love to spend a week or so in the winter while it's snowing. The architecture, the church, the narrow streets, it was incredible
Oh dear. Which other city gained so much out of shit talk? There is a whole new class of giggling movie fans re-enacting the scenes in their minds, and sometimes in public and in real life. That can't be healthy... How many folks are jumping in the canal just tonight only?
I really hope the bellfry is closed...
It's like a fucking fairytale.
Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me. But I didn't, so it doesn't.
yes it is!!!!

Maybe that's what hell is, the entire rest of eternity spent in fucking Bruges.
It's okay, I'm not from there and I still thought: "You went to Bruges and THIS is what you choose to post?" So many better views. But, to each his own I guess?
From Vienna and thought the same as you
You should visit ROTHENBURG
Two manky hookers and a racist dwarf.
When you know the quotes are coming. Wonder if that Movie helped Tourism.
Who'd want to film anything in fucking Bruges?
It definitely did!
Well, I told a few colleagues I wanted to go to Bruges and the majority directly mentioned the film. Incidentally it's one of the reasons I want to go there.
Did you get to the top of the tower?
The tower... is closed... this evening! Understand? English man! * beats ticket seller
Yeah, it's rubbish
You really shouldn’t go up there

Lovely alcoves.
Nooks and crannies

You should definitely visit the alcoves at Koningin Astridpark, I hear they're very quiet
Are you sure this is the right word, alcoves?
Alcoves, yes. It's kind of like nooks and crannies
Underrated city for a short break
See Bruges and die.
Why die? Lol
The german version of the movie 'In Bruges' is called 'Brügge sehen und sterben' which translate to 'See Bruges and die'
It's an inanimate fucking object!
You're an inanimate fucking object!
Fucking Bruges
It´s a shithole.
Only if you are an asshole

All time quotable movie
...and one normal beer for me, because I...am...normal.
I bought chocolates from that shop many years ago!! Bruges is a beautiful city and so much fun to just walk around
all so good
I've been planning to go there; is it expensive?

From where?
Alcoves.
Love Brugge!

So underrated

It's not underrated, it's just fucking Bruges.
very cute, lovely and tidy

Where the hell is Brugges!?
Is 2,3 days ok to visit?
Bruges isn´t that large so yes.
If you can - share the available time with visiting Gent too. Also nice - make a visit nearby Zeebrugge and up to the netherlands to the coast dunes.
You only need a few hours tbh. You should also go to Gent! (I'm from Belgium)
Thanks. I’m olaning 2,3 days trip, and it looks nice

Thanks :D
Christmas now?
Literally every Belgian city or town looks perfect
Have you been to Charleroi?
But these are beautiful: Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven, Dinant, Bouillon, Brussels, Mechelen, Ieper, Veurne, Damme, Mons, Durbuy,….
Arlon?
Yes that one too! I hesitated to join that one as I’ve only been there once. I loved it back then but it’s a very long time ago.
Definition of shit hole. Accidentally went there, it's like they make it hard to get out of that pit of filth as well. Awful. 0/10
yes!!!
Lovely city to visit! 🤗
Dumon Chocolatier looks lit af.
Absolutely majestic city! I loved it during the summer and would love to spend a week or so in the winter while it's snowing. The architecture, the church, the narrow streets, it was incredible
Buhhe*
I also took a picture of that chocolate shop! It look so nearly preserved in front of the other buildings which where old but significantly younger.
"Isn't that what the Vietnamese used to say"?
There were a lot of beautiful spots, yet you chose those photos
The restaurant on the other side of the street: FOOD IS REALLY GUUD
I am from Brugge and i 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 it!!
Visited once, in business, off-season. Entered as Ken, exited as Ray.
One of the greatest movies of all time..
