And then having to fill out their "contest" with whatever italian is desperate enough to show up. I think they could get a decent show with 6, maybe 7 participants, top.
What about countries outside of Europe ? I mean, Israel has been with us since 1973 and we had Morocco one year. All Caucasus countries started playing European football for some reason in 1992, so would the EBU allow them to participate ?
I believe that Eurovision should be a contest within the borders of Europe thus EURO-vision. Hell, saying that the Caucasus should join is like saying that Australia should join too.
