I don’t get why Italy doesn’t participate….. I definitely see them coming back, sunny times will be ahead for them definitely, even though they haven’t won in a while……
I'm sure they'll be back eventually, since Sanremo is still going strong there. My bet is that they'll return and win again sometime in the next 20 years. I just hope that if they return they'll be safe from relegation, they deserve it with all the quality entries they've given us over the years.
I happen to live in a neighbourhood where several Georgian families have settled. Not sure why all the girls were named Sopho :-D but they have fantastic voices! Let's do it!
I know it probably won’t ever happen because it’s not even close to Europe but do you imagine if Australia could participate? What would they even send? Would be pretty cool if they sent a native language
There are like 800 people living in The Vatican and they are mostly clergy. They have one official choir. Pretty sure they wouldn’t/ couldn’t participate anyway.
It would have been cool if Azerbaijan also joined Eurovision! But I can't imagine that they would even care about winning or doing well in such a competition.
I hope Lebanon might soften its stance on broadcasting the Israeli entry, so it can finally debut at the Contest. They’ve been EBU members since 1950. The region seems finally at peace with the Oslo Accords, and all the work that Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat put in the past couple years to come to agreement. I know it’s only early in 1995, but I really feel Rabin is leading Israel to a lasting peace for the region and hopefully nothing will stop him. Then we might see Israel, Palestine and Lebanon all share their music on the same stage, how amazing would that be.
technicaly all north african countries and most middel eastern countries can participate if they want, they just chose not to because israel participate, so thx israel for why there are not 1 or 10 arab countries in Eurovision
Armenia? Might as well have Australia then
I've heard plans to add Iraq so Australia isn't impossible!
I can’t imagine Australia ever joining

Give it time. They just need to cool down for a bit. I can already envision the post title "Italy will return to Eurovision song contest 1997!"

i could see maybe ukraine joining but i highly doubt they’d ever win or do well
Hey, don't underestimate those new participating countries. You should remember that Poland almost won last time!

Pfft, they’d send the USA first. 🤣
San Marino and Vatican City!
I mean…considering we’ve had Monaco I don’t see why not.

The choir can participate every year. There's a 20 year old girl called Valentina that could participate for San Marino also.
I have no idea why Latvia hasn't debuted yet when their brothers did
Lithuania coming last and then never coming back must have demotivated them…

The United States seems like a very non-controversial choice!

Maybe the BBC could send representatives for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland instead of the UK as a whole?
Algeria for their raï
There's a country called "San Marino" in the EBU and just joined, I have no idea what that is but they might have cool music!
I've heard some songs from this girl called Valentina, I think she could do well!
Honestly, I’d like Moldova to join Eurovision. They may send some pretty amazing songs
With the decline of the Golden Horde in the east, maybe some of the Russian principalities will join, like Tver, Ryazan, Perm or Beloozero?
Australia? Haha 🤪
