The Sabanator

Didn't have a holographic sand-Saba on my staging bingo card! This looks very static at the moment but I have confidence from the gallery shots that this is going to look great on camera.

May be Danish bias, but I can actually see this having an appeal being so simple

Especially coming after wild Austria. There's a lot of entries this year where there's a lot going on, so maybe it could be a benefit for Saba.

She certainly stands out as it's the only song where we only have a singer on stage.

Yeah, it feels like an X-Factor song and performance but not in a bad way.

I think this is beautiful. Her voice is so powerful, I am glad they are letting it shine without putting a lot of *stuff* in the way.

The figure in the backdrop has a slight uncanny valley effect by the end of the performance, it seems. And the thing Saba is standing on reminds me of the [kaosnumret from Melodifestivalen 2021](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YdTsjDEeqw). But yeah, everything's slick and I stick with my opinion that Saba herself is a lot better than the song. I love watching her perform.

I am so excited too see what this looks like live! Go Saba goooooo!

I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do to be honest. It’s not an _exciting_ performance per se, but it’s really polished. Could be a surprise (borderline) Q? I pretty much wrote it off before the rehearsal and it’s now growing on me a little bit.

I guess is another Poland 2023 moment with the figure in the screen?

I actually really like all the sand effects. Last shot should be her sitting down, taking off one shoe and wearily emptying a cup worth of sand from it.
