Its a fan made manga that ācontinuesā the anime/manga story. I havent actually read it but instead skimmed through a few pages, but from what I got from it it has Shinji time looping trying to get a better life. The only problem is that he starts the loop from that one angel that swallows him. So yeah he pretty much loops that late into the story so he basically has no time before the events of EoE
Yeah, I know about all of those. Like the red sea and the blood spatter and how Kaworu acts like he has memories from other times he's talked with Shinji. Still, those are from 1.0 and 2.0 and have nothing to do with 4.0, and I still don't think that theory makes sense even with those nods to NGE.
I think its been mentioned ever since the original anime that Shinji can recreate the world, and he finally does it(on screen) in the last movie. Theres even been hints way back in the original anime, Death and Rebirth, and End of Evangelion that prove this. I havent played the visual novels or the games but the adaptation of the girlfriend of steel series also heavily hints it.
And like I said earlier 3.1+1.0 just confirms it on screen that the world is able to be changed and reset every time until Shinji finally decides what he wants for himself.
I understand all of that, but the entire point of End of Eva is that Shinji DOESN'T recreate the world, and even if he changed his mind after the final scene, the opportunity passed for him to do that. This means that the theory that the rebuilds are pseudo sequels because of all the references to NGE can't really be true. If anything, End of Eva is the definitive ending where the world could not possibly loop, where Thrice Upon a Time is the ending where anything could happen.
Well we knew about the loops since forever, and I do agree it basically makes the manga canon since its an official eva media.
But I think the point I mentioned before still stands until Anno says something about it. Last time he and Sadamoto just said that the manga was its own continuity so you shouldnāt use Kajis Back story or Shinji past or Mari appearing in that extra chapter when talking about the anime and movie since they arent official to those versions.

Literally masochistic
How is it non canon, manga, Nge and Rebuilds are all canon
It likely is canon, I just remembered reading how Anno had no input on the manga and so the manga only stuff is considered non canon.
Eh I feel like the end of 4.0 confirmed every instance of Eva is basically canon because of the loops.
How does the end of 4.0 confirm or deny the loop theory? I feel like they have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Theyā¦ they made overt references to NGE. Kaworu alludes to the existence of a loop multiple times throughout the series
