That just shows how bad the screen in the Evercade is, when replacing it with the screen in a PSP, which is 20 year old tech, and still nothing to write home about, makes it still way better than even the latest version of the Evercade (EXP).
The EXP should definitely have a better screen for €150.
I got a Super Pocket for my kids, they absolutely love it! I'm so happy with it, I cancelled my EXP order and have a Pocket en route for myself as well as four new game cartridges. This is what's been missing in my life since the Game Boy Pocket went out of production. LET'S GOOOOOO Team Pocket! 😁
If you don't mind me asking what do you like about it more than the EXP?
I'm just getting into Evercade and don't have an EXP to compare my Super Pocket to.
I wish they put more capcom nes games on the pocket, the 3 194X games are unplayable, I dont know who thought it was a good idea to put vertical shooters on such a small screeb
Thank you for your answer.
I chose the Capcom one for myself so that second part is a non-issue for me. But I got the Taito one for my mom. She loves Space Invaders.
I have them both and like them for different reasons; the EXP is premium as far as the screen goes, but the SP is a brilliant little device and does marvellous things, especially while travelling. Both are worth owning in my experience.
I like the pocket but for me the dpad is infinitely better on the EXP.
Exactly, the D-pad in the EXP is really good. It's a shame the screen is so lackluster, though.
I play a lot at night so the screen seems good to me. I wish the battery life were a little longer, though.
I modded my original evercade with a psp ips screen and that looks way better than the exp screen:/

Yeah i was really bummed out especially since they said the screen would be better in their promotional material.
To be fair, it's actually better than the screen in the Og Evercade handheld, but that's not saying much.
I prefer the form factor of the Pocket over the EXP. Not that the EXP is a poor design.
I love love loveeee the super pocket and the VS for playing games on my TV
I don't really play games on TV that often.

How is your screen? I just opened mine and it has a little light bleed in the bottom left but it's not really noticeable once you are playing a game.
No bleed.
Same for my capcom

The form factor, and I prefer Taito's games over Capcom's.

1944 is OK, the others are unacceptable
Lol I was playing it right now, didnt know it was 4:3
Its great imo

Getting bitmap brothers next for my pocket
I got that. Speedball 2 is great but there’s a software issue with Chaos Engine where it pauses when pressing in on the d-pad.
