If you can't find any takers, PAWS might have use for some of it. When my cat passed, they took all of her food happily. I'm not sure about toys, but you could ask them if you can't find anyone else to take it.

We also had our last pup put down at home. So much better than taking them in imo. Sorry for your loss. 15 years is amazing! Mine was 14. I wish you as much love in your next friend

GLACI3R

I'm so sorry for your loss. :( Have you tried your local Buy Nothing group on Facebook? They're a great resource.

So very sorry for your loss. Our pets really are a part of our family. I suggest another place to try to donate would be the food banks. There are many in Everett, Faith Food Bank, Trinity Lutheran for example.

rocco18910

So sorry for the loss of your pup.

Dhedges1982

I have nothing to offer except condolences on your loss ❤️❤️ he was an absolute cutie pie!

Check with NOAH up near Stanwood. They're a no kill shelter, and do a fantastic amount of good work

Awe, he kinda looks like my buddy who lived to be 13+ years old. They make great friends and family members if they're shown lots of love. Sorry for your loss. I wish they lived longer than they do. We can only shower them with as much love as possible for the short time they're with us. Hopefully, they're waiting for us on the other side when it's our turn. If you still have the dog stuff, my dog and myself would be greatful to come pick it up. Feel free to message me. I'm a few minutes off of 41st st exit

nerdorado

My condolences on your loss. Iroh looks like he was a very happy guy, and I'm sure he'll be waiting for you guys, tail wagging, at the rainbow bridge.

unlearningallthisshi

Rest well, Iroh. He’ll be waiting for you in the spirit world.

Ill-Cat8758

So sorry for the loss of your fur baby, sending you and your wife lots of love!

When you do get another buddy, feed them food with grain because FDA investigation implies grain free is related to DCM heart disease in dogs.

Interesting, his vet recommended GF to help with his shedding, do you have links to the studies/reports on this?

It's not as simple as "all grain free diets" but it's so lengthy to explain: that grain free diets tend to be legume rich in place of grains. Legume can prevent the body from absorbing taurine, a nutrient that the heart needs to function probably. It doesn't mean any diets that have legume in it are automatically bad. We're seeing a surge of DCM in dogs that shouldn't. If caught early enough it's reversible, part of treatment includes having grains in a balanced diet. Because "grain free yay!" Has been a relatively new thing, this is being pretty rapidly investigated. "Grain free is amazing!" IS a retail selling point when in reality it was never bad to begin with, and it's a rare thing for dogs to be adversely reacting to it but being sold as a necessity selling point, rarely for a good reason, possibly causing a lot of problems dogs (90% of dogs i see everyday needing anal glands expressed monthly are on grain free, and when I recommended adding grain, most improved...suspicious....?) "Their (FDA) report states that more than 90 percent of foods reported in DCM cases were grain-free, 93 percent of reported foods contained peas and/or lentils, and 42 percent contained potatoes/sweet potatoes." https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/nutrition/fda-grain-free-diet-alert-dcm/
