Curry is great! I love most curries, but the Japanese curry is the best in my opinion. Also love lasagne, but really only homemade (my safe store-bought one was removed permanently.)
My safe food is primarily fruit. Seems to be a pretty uncommon safe food since others think they can be inconsistent in flavour and texture.
I love melted warm peanut butter. It's a sensory heaven. It gets all in you mouth and stuck and so for the next few minutes, every time you swallow it tastes like peanut butter. I don't like it room temperature though, that's a weird texture and flavour.
I thought I was the only one! Lots of autistic people seem to hate fruit but it’s pretty much the only thing I can eat sometimes. Greasy and starchy foods trigger my sensory issues sometimes, and fruits tend to have a light, mild, refreshing taste. They don’t trigger my nausea and are easy on my digestive system. I also forget to drink water sometimes so they’re also great for hydration. I also don’t find them *that* inconsistent, modern supermarkets throw out a *lot* of produce to make sure everything looks and tastes roughly the same.
Omg same! I literally have a post I made a while ago about not understanding how people like stuff like chicken tenders because they're always so different, but fruit for me is controlled. I always get them at the same level of ripeness and colour, and so far they've always been consistently the same flavour and texture. I don't know why people struggle so hard with the consistency (though maybe I put more effort in than a normal person would).
I get exactly what you mean. Cooked/prepared food is so different when made by different people, and it’s always so upsetting when you’re expecting something to be the same dish you’re used to but when it arrives it’s not. Like the time I got borscht and there were bell peppers in it, which my mum never puts in hers 😭
Ugh the worst one for me is fries. Different oil, different types of potato, different cooking styles, different seasoning and don't even get me started on shapes. People say the shape doesn't matter, but you can't tell me waffle fries taste the exact same as regular fries.
Things that are meant to be consistent, are so inconsistent. And what happens when the company changes the recipe? You lose a safe food forever.
It actually happened recently. The company that made biscuits I've had as a safe food since I was a baby (literally it's the first solid meal I ever ate) decided to change the recipe and now it's never going to taste the same. It genuinely made me cry when I found out they changed it. I'd never have this issue with fruit, because I control the ones I buy and how they'll taste.
I absolutely destroy the fruits I like. Also supermarkets throwing out a lot of "ugly" produce is a myth. Most of the ugly produce gets sent off to food processing plants or restaurant/soup kitchens before they even get offered to supermarkets, and the "uglier" of those produce is sent to budget friendly supermarkets. Supermarkets still throw out a fair amount of food, but this is due to health and safety laws rather than appeal.
I like fruit but couldn’t consider it a safe food because of the risk of sometime mushy or hard texture (mangos being wrong is the worst for me). What’s your favorite fruit?
Pitted sweet cherries, green grapes mulberry (or very ripe/sweet black and raspberry) and blueberries are my favorites chilled, on the table or baked.
Seedless green grapes and blueberries are pretty firm and you can inspect each one between your fingers. Blueberries need to soften just a little to be sweetest but not much. They have some good things not present in many other foods.
Similar to grapes not in taste but in being delicious little juice filled balls. Good green grapes are nice and firm and nearly explode with thin sweet refreshing juice vs sticky mushy syrupy mango mush. Like bubble wrap bubbles filled with nice cold juice if chilled.
I think peach is similar to mango, but better... with the hairy skin peeled
Citrus, mandarin orange, tangerine, and navel orange (seedless) are ok too. Too strong for eating alone but lime is great for flavor. Lemon too, but in general no grapefruit thanks.
Does coconut count? I love coconut. I have to buy the big bag of shredded coconut meat or there won't be any left for recipe day... I can't be trusted either.
Hot chips are incredible, only reason i dont like takis is because the lemon isnt a good additive to it in my opinion, it makes it feel like it's gone bad, but good for you if that's your safe food, i like those roulette doritos with different spices lol (the flaming hot ones have the same problem)
I had spicy jerky the other day and it hurt and I wasn't sure what to do about it and my brain went "I know! some studies say chili heat can alleviate chronic pain! clearly the solution is more spicy jerky!"
I love all of those but I can't do just straight kimchi for more than a few bites. It's a great ingredient in other dishes, similar to saurkraut. I can't do it alone but it's great in other things. Phở, banhmi, pad thai, ramen, sushi, give it all to me.
I've just burnt my mouth on kimchi and cheese on toast.
I wish I knew about it earlier but its been a very welcome addition to my other safe food of lentils and rice
I'm massively sensory seeking when it comes to food, so anything safe for me usually has a lot of flavour, salt, etc.
As much as I love the taste of spicy things, though, my spice tolerance sadly sits at "raw onion is spicy". I've tried to increase it a bunch of different ways but no luck, lol.
My spice tolerance is directly proportional to how delicious the food is. I've literally been crying and unable to close my mouth at chinese hot pot only to put more food in my mouth while my friends yell at me to stop. Meanwhile spicy chips are usually "too spicy" only because i don't usually like the flavour
Spiciness for its own sake can be good, but because I see, smell, feel, and taste food for its components and ratios, it offends my sense of reason when a manufacturer fries a potato slice, sprays preservatives and chili powder on it, and calls it food. I can taste the preservatives, and it makes the chips taste like spicy plastic. I can thin-slice and bake my own spicy potato chips to better effect.
I made the most amazing hot sauce in 2020. It's lacto-fermented peppers, half habanero, half ghost pepper, then blended with an apple, some cinnamon, and a splash of whisky. Whole thing came out to about 10 bottles of what's basically really fancy adult applesauce that melts your face off, and it might be one of my favorite creations. Oh yeah, it fermented out to a pH around 4, so it's naturally shelf-stable, though it was still cooked to pasteurization temperature before I bottled it and it lives in the fridge.
I still have several bottles. I should make more.
I envy that. I wanna eat spicy stuff without feeling like someone is pouring molten metal on my tongue so bad. It tastes so nice it just hurts too much
My safe foods can be spicy as fuck. Buldak ramen straight into my veins (this is a figure of speech my fellow autists, I'm not injecting ramen), extremely violent chicken biryani if I can afford it, you name it
Well my safe food (or at least one i ate way too much) was bread, i ate bread all by itself with literally nothing on it, then gathered the crumbs to eat that, i got called bread stomach (rough translation from spanish) by my parents for all the bread i ate lol
I eat stuffed peppers, it's like 6 ingredients
ground turkey I cook in a pan and add pepper, then I add a can of tomatoes and a cup of microwaved rice and a bigass handful of shredded cheese
I cut off the tops and hollow out 4 peppers for every pound of meat and boil them for 5 mins
add the stuffing in the first step and bake them for 400 for a half hour.
I only need to cook like once or twice a week and takes an hour and a half total.
I just throw one int he microwave for 3 mins when I need a meal
I cannot do the texture of microwave reheated food personally, which makes for a fun time when compared with adhd where meal prep is the first thing people recommend
thank you, I hope you like it as much as I do, I feel like it's so full of flavor but barely uses any seasonings.
I started using roasted canned diced tomatoes last time and it tasted even better
My favorite safe food is miso soup with noodles, tofu, and mushrooms. And I HAVE to eat it out of my lucky cat bowl. Nothing makes me feel better than going to bed with a belly full of warm soup.
My safe food is just New Mexican food in general, I’m indigenous here and my family has been eating roughly the same foods for thousands of years and I’m pretty sure I’m just genetically hardwired to like it haha beans, green chile and sopapillas are my fuckin jam
When I was younger, I used to eat raw ginger, raw cloves of garlic, spoonfuls of horseradish, and whole fresh jalapeños. I stopped the garlic one, but I need very flavorful foods with good texture blends and the right type of flavors otherwise I just won't eat. My favorite go to food is a specific brand of pouched baby food because they make a sour one that is just perfect in every way. I love vegetables, and I'm not the biggest fan of plain anything. I also don't eat meat (except fish because the texture is amazing).
I'm a weirdo even amongst the weirdos, I love mushy textures. I can handle things being crispy but not hard. If I feel like it might hurt my teeth I'll freak out.
I love Korean food. I worked in a Korean restaurant for three years in high school. I ate bulgogi and spicy pork for dinner six days a week for three years lol.
Also, pizza is fantastic. Every Sunday is pizza day.
BRO i literally need hot sauce or some kind of spice or the textures are too loud!!!! Like shut up bitch im trying to take ur nutrients for myself you cant stop me
One of my safe foods is soup, especially tomato and chicken noodle. I also gravitate more towards strong flavors in general. I’m not one of the chicken nuggets autists.
Kimchi is an exquisite culinary art form imo. You can fk it up so many different ways (most frequently by improperly sealing the jar for stewing and fermentation), but when you do it right, it's a long term investment in yourself that pays well later.
As long as koriander isn’t thrown in and it doesn’t contain chicory or a large amount of mushrooms, I’ll eat anything that is commonly accepted as food.
Literally, the most basic of foods that are so popular in the US are absolutely garbage. They are so pumped full of all this crap that is almost damn near void of nutrients, while also exacerbating ones likelyness to be addicted to them. That shit is in almost everything.
I had shit for tastebuds as a kid obviously, but I eat so much better now. Somewhere I learned that eating more healthy be learning to like different foods is important. To at least try and try again, because it actually has been proved that you need to, to truly make sure if you like something. I made that my mission and I have achieved liking a lot of different things now comparatively.
Kimchi is interesting, I’ve had a couple different variations. I’ve liked some of them. I really do enjoy seeing the other kind of foods on here besides basic crackers, mac & cheese, and anything with fake dyes.
my new safe food is 50% bland mushy food, it’s coffee and peanut butter oatmeal. normal oatmeal is vile, but if you cook it with coffee instead of water and add peanut butter it’s amazing
my safe food is this one dish my mom makes that she calls loco mocos which is rice with a beyond hamburger patty and mushroom gravy and its sooooo good
Plain black beans. I know it’s silly but I ADORE them. Just get a can of them into a bowl and warm them up, eat with spoon.
It’s like the perfect consistency and texture, the taste is good and protein makes them feel fulfilling to me.
:3 beans
I FUCKING HATE BLAND FOOD WITH AWFUL TEXTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OATMEAL NEEDS TO BE DELETED OUT OF EXISTENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In terms of safe food, I love ice cream, ramen, steak, poutine and pineapple.
I would say that my favourite cuisine is either Korean BBQ or Cajun food.
Kimchi noodles (noon) with added fresh kimchi... yummy 😋
I settle for cup noodle sweet chili with fresh kimchi most the time because the noon is always out of stock 😂 😭
Most of my safe food is french pattiserie. I know a lot of other autistic people hate everything about it - flakiness, texture, structure, flavour. So not only am I pretentious, I cant even find safety from kindred spirits.
I do not understand why people are being judged for liking Mac n cheese and other “generic” foods. Why judge another persons safe food? Also calling someone’s safe food disgusting seems like a dick move. I personally don’t like kimchi because I can taste the shrimp paste, but I wouldn’t call it disgusting to someone who likes it.
We are, after all, in *evil* Autism's subreddit, and being judgmental at one's fellow Autists kind of tracks. Idk that there's an r\KindAutism.
*eta:* I went to look, and the subreddit exists, but it has a single post telling the reader to fk off attached to an image of this subreddit's logo. So... even r\KindAutism was started by an evil Autist. 🤣
OMG I can't believe Kimchi is someone's safe food. I like it in stuff but Kimchi is just too strong by itself. I can't have more than a few bites on it's own before it's too much. But anything with cabbage is the same way for me. I'll be like "oh I like this"... 3 bites later: "ok that's enough. I'm going to puke if I eat anymore." lol
edit: just looked up Kimchi stew and it actually looks pretty good. Nevermind lol
Fresh, raw baby spinach comforts tf out of me. I'll bring home the big tub from the supermarket on bad days and pick at it for hours until it's gone.
Dried mangos coated in honey and crushed red pepper are so stimulating for my sensory seeking that I can eat them to stave off meltdowns because my brain is so split on how overwhelmingly good the mangos are that I can't focus on the meltdown. I used to use hot sauce packets for that until I discovered that doing it was giving me the beginnings of gastritis.
Sushi will improve any of my moods, even the good ones, and make me do shoulder-wiggle stims.
Making my own meat sauce to have with pasta fills my palate with divine complexity. Jar sauces are too acidic and under-spiced. I use so much garlic and oregano in my meat sauce that I can still taste them two hours after I'm done eating, and that's to say nothing of the complexity of stewing my own tomatoes in the InstaPot with red wine, paprika, ginger, and black pepper first or how I marinate the sausage in apple cider vinegar and rosemary beforehand.
YES! My favorite comfort food is soondubu jjigae! There's something so nice about the combination of flavors - savory soft tofu, warming broth, sharp kimchi, and all that spice!
Mine is sushi and ceviche (with salmon), idk what it is with raw fish but done properly its incredible, especuslly sushi, i used to eat so much my parents ordered a lot, and they gave us like 6 chopsticks thinking we were a group, we were 3 lol
My safe food is toasted bagle sandwhich with just cream chees and everything but the bagel seasoning. No it cant be everything bagel it has to be with the seasoning
Udon, teriyaki noodles, miso soup. And you'll pry my secret imported ramen from my cold dead hands. And yeah I like octopus and I'm sick of pretending to be squeamish about it.
YOU GET IT, my parents just make the most bland shit ever and I am so fucking tired of it, give me curry, shawarma, I dont fucking care just stop feeding me pasta or breaded chicken
Marco polo! I'm into chilli-flavoured Pot Noodles, which I have a particular way of preparing. Loads of sweet chilli, then a dash of hot pepper (around 6,000 Scoville units). Oddly, the burn offsets my brain's shitty habit of overprocessing stimuli, so it's safe for me.
fucking hate pizza. my only safe food that is 100% no fail, i can be stuffed, i can be upset, i can be throwing up
and i will never not want bbq (but no fat. ever. fat is disgusting and ruins lives)
Yeaaaah I'm so happy to see someone else is in the "fuck pizza" camp!
My safe foods are curry, sauerkraut with brats (but never Johnsonville's Crohns fuel), mashed potatoes with rotisserie chicken, chicken nuggets with an array of mustards, a sandwich with tomato soup, and Mint Chocolate Soylent when all foods seem unfriendly.
Oh yeah and most breakfast, fruit, and roasted veggies.
Most of my safe food is french pattiserie. I know a lot of other autistic people hate everything about it - flakiness, texture, structure, flavour. So not only am I pretentious, I cant even find safety from kindred spirits.
Curry ❤️🔥
Red coconut milk curry with chicken is one of my safe foods! I'm not as jazzed about tomato-based curries, but when it's well made it's great
Curry is great! I love most curries, but the Japanese curry is the best in my opinion. Also love lasagne, but really only homemade (my safe store-bought one was removed permanently.)
Thai curry all day
OMG CURRY GANG! Indian, Thai, Japanese, I want it **all**! It’s like eating a hug!
Yes oh my god
Green thai curry with beef holy shit
yeah I was gonna say, any kind of spicy curry is 👩🍳💋🤌
Dishes that I can combine with rice in general
Red lentil curry, the texture us wonderful to me
My safe food is sushi. There’s always variety.
Oh fuck I love sushi. Spicy tuna or yellowtail is my favorite sushi meat.
Give me smoked salmon in a philly roll all day. Mm!
I like to try different rolls, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Philly rolls. The flavor, the textures, everything about it. It's just so good.
Same, that and ceviche (with salmon as the fish), they are so good, idk what it is with raw fish but done properly its incredible
https://preview.redd.it/voojkmwdlipc1.png?width=642&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=073d9a34d9e315586f5f8d28cdd4ce66b464c218
Op I officially will say you just hate some good food items
Ughh 100%. When they sneakily reformulate a safe food and they think we won’t notice 🤬
bell peppers are my nemesis fruit 👎
I think peach is similar to mango, but better... with the hairy skin peeled Citrus, mandarin orange, tangerine, and navel orange (seedless) are ok too. Too strong for eating alone but lime is great for flavor. Lemon too, but in general no grapefruit thanks. Does coconut count? I love coconut. I have to buy the big bag of shredded coconut meat or there won't be any left for recipe day... I can't be trusted either.
Apple slices and peanut butter for the win >:)
Really? I love fruit. Not really a fan of peanut butter though. I'll only eat it if it's Adam's creamy no-stir.
I love to eat extra spicy food just to feel something
Buldak my beloved
Takis fuego my beloved
Hot chips are incredible, only reason i dont like takis is because the lemon isnt a good additive to it in my opinion, it makes it feel like it's gone bad, but good for you if that's your safe food, i like those roulette doritos with different spices lol (the flaming hot ones have the same problem)
It's not spicy enough if I don't get hiccups and crying eyes within the first 2 bites.
If food has no spice to it, it tastes wrong to me.
THE SPICE MUST FLOW
I have shitty taste buds and smell, I used to use a lot of salt in my cooking but then I discovered hot sauce.
I had spicy jerky the other day and it hurt and I wasn't sure what to do about it and my brain went "I know! some studies say chili heat can alleviate chronic pain! clearly the solution is more spicy jerky!"
Kimchi is angry saurkraut and im fucking here for it.
angry saurkraut is the best description i have heard for kimchi
Pizza ain’t bland if you’re a good cook (like me)
Korean, Thai, and Japanese cuisines have been becoming more comfort food to me lately.
I love all of those but I can't do just straight kimchi for more than a few bites. It's a great ingredient in other dishes, similar to saurkraut. I can't do it alone but it's great in other things. Phở, banhmi, pad thai, ramen, sushi, give it all to me.
Mushrooms Mushrooms Mushrooms Mushrooms
omfg mushrooms are my favorite thing eveeerrrr
I've just burnt my mouth on kimchi and cheese on toast. I wish I knew about it earlier but its been a very welcome addition to my other safe food of lentils and rice
I LOVE BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP!!!!!!!
OH MY GOD YES A FELLOW PERSON OF TASTE !!! I love it so much but my fave one has just been discontinued it’s heartbreaking 3
You should try making some yourself, it's a lot of fun!
I'm massively sensory seeking when it comes to food, so anything safe for me usually has a lot of flavour, salt, etc. As much as I love the taste of spicy things, though, my spice tolerance sadly sits at "raw onion is spicy". I've tried to increase it a bunch of different ways but no luck, lol.

poke bowls FUCK
So much delicious safe nutrition!!
also super cheap to make at home 😩
my safe food is cheese ❤️❤️
All cheese is good cheese (except Kraft singles plastic cheese which shouldn’t be considered food) 🧀
Mmmm pho is and will always forever be my safe food
Pho kya my dude!
My safe foods can be spicy as fuck. Buldak ramen straight into my veins (this is a figure of speech my fellow autists, I'm not injecting ramen), extremely violent chicken biryani if I can afford it, you name it
I am injecting buldak noodles straight into my veins (this is the 100% truth fellow autists, I am injecting ramyun)a
We all know Buldak noodles are the real cure for autism

Real (real)
If you press it, season it, and fry it, it's actually really good. I seasoned it up hard and it ended up tasting a lot like chicken.

FACT.
When I get Thai I ask for maximum spicy. It burns so much on the exit but is totally worth it.
Your flair made my day.
lol, thank you for pointing it out. It has now made my day too.
Pretty much all of my safe foods are super bland things, but I’ll admit that that stew looks phenomenal.
Well my safe food (or at least one i ate way too much) was bread, i ate bread all by itself with literally nothing on it, then gathered the crumbs to eat that, i got called bread stomach (rough translation from spanish) by my parents for all the bread i ate lol

Um, you're kind of a nutritional genius for this.
thank you, I hope you like it as much as I do, I feel like it's so full of flavor but barely uses any seasonings. I started using roasted canned diced tomatoes last time and it tasted even better
Flaming hot cheetos <3
Can’t fucking *stand* bland food. Pizza’s good though.
My favorite safe food is miso soup with noodles, tofu, and mushrooms. And I HAVE to eat it out of my lucky cat bowl. Nothing makes me feel better than going to bed with a belly full of warm soup.
i first read this as if you had to eat it out out a cat bowl aka a bowl made for a cat 😭😭😭
What is it of not a bowl for a cat 💀
Mine is Katsu curry 🤤🤤
Matar paneer gang pull up
My safe food is just New Mexican food in general, I’m indigenous here and my family has been eating roughly the same foods for thousands of years and I’m pretty sure I’m just genetically hardwired to like it haha beans, green chile and sopapillas are my fuckin jam

I also don't eat meat (except fish because the texture is amazing).
I love kimchi!
My current safe food is noodles slathered in Sriracha and deviled eggs, also slathered in Sriracha. Preferably with some nice seasme seeds and wakame.
I love me some deviled eggs, but I go for chipotle ketchup rather than sriracha.
Fun fact: you can use Sriracha and unflavored gelatin to make your own spicy jello. Keep your ratios in check or it won't set up properly.
Safe foods include: beef pot pie, thai soups with coconut milk, and lohikeitto (salmon soup). Not typical at all lol
Where is lohikeitto from? I love salmon and have never heard of it
Its Finnish! Finland and Finnish language/culture is a special interest. Sadly not many people know about lohikeitto outside of Finland :(
thanks a lot, now I need to find a restaurant that has kimchi stew.
I'm a weirdo even amongst the weirdos, I love mushy textures. I can handle things being crispy but not hard. If I feel like it might hurt my teeth I'll freak out.
Fuck pizza?
I love Korean food. I worked in a Korean restaurant for three years in high school. I ate bulgogi and spicy pork for dinner six days a week for three years lol. Also, pizza is fantastic. Every Sunday is pizza day.
BRO i literally need hot sauce or some kind of spice or the textures are too loud!!!! Like shut up bitch im trying to take ur nutrients for myself you cant stop me
Pizza hate is too much but agreed
My favorite food is sesame chicken
I drink Franks Red Hot, straight from the bottle. I stand with you non bland food lover🧙♂️✨
One of my safe foods is soup, especially tomato and chicken noodle. I also gravitate more towards strong flavors in general. I’m not one of the chicken nuggets autists.
Looks great, now I'm looking up kimchi stew!!
Kimchi is an exquisite culinary art form imo. You can fk it up so many different ways (most frequently by improperly sealing the jar for stewing and fermentation), but when you do it right, it's a long term investment in yourself that pays well later.
"Improperly sealing the jar" *glances over at the kimchi in a plastic bag gifted to me by a coworker*
As long as koriander isn’t thrown in and it doesn’t contain chicory or a large amount of mushrooms, I’ll eat anything that is commonly accepted as food.
Pickled fish. Pickled fish. Pickled fish.
Ramen:)
Chips and salsa every single day
My safe food is Tom Yum Shrimp Wonton soup with a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter stirred in, Jagermeister on the side
Spaghetti.
With added hot sauce
I’m filipino so offensively salted & vinegary foods are 👌👌👌👌
i just eat kimchi cold out of the pack with my fingers :3
Safest food is poke, a Hawaiian dish that I fucking love.
The word is “atypical”
Thats my safe food too!!!!!! I love Kimchi jjigae!!!!

Oh lord no. I can't stand any type of fermented cabbage such as kimchi or sauerkraut
I eat massaman curry and rice almost everyday
my new safe food is 50% bland mushy food, it’s coffee and peanut butter oatmeal. normal oatmeal is vile, but if you cook it with coffee instead of water and add peanut butter it’s amazing
my safe food is this one dish my mom makes that she calls loco mocos which is rice with a beyond hamburger patty and mushroom gravy and its sooooo good
Plain black beans. I know it’s silly but I ADORE them. Just get a can of them into a bowl and warm them up, eat with spoon. It’s like the perfect consistency and texture, the taste is good and protein makes them feel fulfilling to me. :3 beans
Mine is carne asada fries
I FUCKING HATE BLAND FOOD WITH AWFUL TEXTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OATMEAL NEEDS TO BE DELETED OUT OF EXISTENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In terms of safe food, I love ice cream, ramen, steak, poutine and pineapple. I would say that my favourite cuisine is either Korean BBQ or Cajun food.
My parents’ Mexican food. They make it really good and they make really it spicy! Just how I like it. :)
stir-fry (soy sauseincluded)
Hotdogs with kimchi and cheese with mustard on a bun... I have no idea why it works
Kimchi noodles (noon) with added fresh kimchi... yummy 😋 I settle for cup noodle sweet chili with fresh kimchi most the time because the noon is always out of stock 😂 😭
kimchi jjigae for the fucking win‼️‼️
chili with oyster crackers🔥🔥🔥🔥
fucking trauma... I just eat, I dont know any safe foods
HELL YEA HELL YEA HELL YEA!!! one of my safe foods is shawarma and i love so much:3 i lvoe falvour!! i love spicy foods!! yea!!!
Yellow curry :))))
Never thought I’d have the same safe food as someone else, just mine needs the cold rice on the side
Tikka masala my beloved ❤️
My safe food is almost any Mexican dish out there lol. As long as it doesn't have sour cream. Idk what it is about sour cream but I fucking hate it.
Most of my safe food is french pattiserie. I know a lot of other autistic people hate everything about it - flakiness, texture, structure, flavour. So not only am I pretentious, I cant even find safety from kindred spirits.
Paneer tikka masala 🤌🤌🤌 don’t have to worry about chicken gristle and tikka is generally a pretty safe choice for my food allergies
i WILL have every meal with sriracha and i don't care that my nose is dripping in the process.
Pickled onions 😤😤😤
White shell Mac and cheese specifically.
one of my safe foods is cheese pizza 😔
OMG I can't believe Kimchi is someone's safe food. I like it in stuff but Kimchi is just too strong by itself. I can't have more than a few bites on it's own before it's too much. But anything with cabbage is the same way for me. I'll be like "oh I like this"... 3 bites later: "ok that's enough. I'm going to puke if I eat anymore." lol edit: just looked up Kimchi stew and it actually looks pretty good. Nevermind lol
The guy that invented boiled chicken would love cardboard

I like spicy high-flavor foods, too. :>
Spring rolls. Any style. + Pork dumplings
I like candy canes
I need recipe links and I need them NOW (please)
Mussels my beloved
My safe food is rice crackers with shallot and chive Boursin cheese
Counterpoint: cheez and ham samich
I was about to agree till you dissed pizza.
White rice, over easy egg on top, side of curry chickpeas extra hot. Kimchi on the side if it’s a razzle dazzle day
I love pizza!!! 🍕 Through shrimp is one for me.
YES! My favorite comfort food is soondubu jjigae! There's something so nice about the combination of flavors - savory soft tofu, warming broth, sharp kimchi, and all that spice!
Disagree on pizza but agree on the rest. If it doesn't have that good good orange oil I don't even want to hear about it.
Sweet n sour cabbage, Easter stew
I am with you on the flavor, but I have a need for spicy mush, like baingan bharta. The spicier and mushier the better.

Pop corn or spageti
Either Penang curry or tacobell hahaha 🤣
Udon, teriyaki noodles, miso soup. And you'll pry my secret imported ramen from my cold dead hands. And yeah I like octopus and I'm sick of pretending to be squeamish about it.
Mine used to be Ramen before I found out I can't eat gluten 😭 Now it's gluten free kraft Mac and cheese.
thai food is always safe for me
YOU GET IT, my parents just make the most bland shit ever and I am so fucking tired of it, give me curry, shawarma, I dont fucking care just stop feeding me pasta or breaded chicken
me with cottage cheese 😭
curry wurst, i need german sausage and ketchup to live.
My safe foods are FLAVOURED foods
# ***EGGSSSSSSS***
I hate beans because it feels disgusting in my mouth
fucking hate pizza. my only safe food that is 100% no fail, i can be stuffed, i can be upset, i can be throwing up and i will never not want bbq (but no fat. ever. fat is disgusting and ruins lives)

What is you thought on kimchi pizza? With or without sauerkraut?
All pizza is disgusting 🥰. Kimchi pancakes are hit or miss
I FUCKINH LOVE MUSH BLAND BEIGE FOODS IM TERRIFIED OF SPICE (except on salad because I don’t like dressing)
This post is not for you 😠 (Eat how you wanna eat in not actually judging anyone)
Roasted vegetables are truely the best. Roasted brussel sprouts my beloved
OP you can’t just post this without dropping the recipe you know I want to try kimchi stew. I even have some kimchi in the fridge rn…
Pistitio (not sure of the spelling), a Greek lasagna
Ramen all the way
Currently it's curries and satay with peanut sauce
Most of my safe food is french pattiserie. I know a lot of other autistic people hate everything about it - flakiness, texture, structure, flavour. So not only am I pretentious, I cant even find safety from kindred spirits.
I fucking love berries and shit man holy fuck dude
