This guy at my local zoo seemed especially so
I think venom is the only you can argue isn’t due to the revelation at the end of mgs5 and how he’s basically brainwashed and we don’t know much about him before
Liquid is the only one canonically. He was made from the dominant traits of big boss, autism is a recessive gene, so unless both big boss and EVA have only autism genes liquid is most likely NT.
It is genetic, so it's entirely possible that this is all due to Big Boss being autistic:
-Venom Snake is autistic not because of neurology, but because of his mind being an exact copy of Big Boss's (up to 1984, anyway).
-Solid, Liquid, and Solidus Snake are autistic because autism is a genetic trait, and they're all clones of Big Boss.
Raiden is also autistic, but this has no relation to Big Boss. It's just how he became friends with Solid.
True, but if Big Boss has a recessive phenotype, there dominant gene is much less likely to be present within him, and Liquid is still a clone of him. Phenotypes where there's only one gene present would be expressed the same way in both Solid and Liquid. (Obviously there's more nuance to it than that, because genetics could never be simple, but that's the gist of why Liquid is probably autistic.)
As someone whose only introduction to the series is through the Like A Dragon series I was thinking this even in the English dub. I think Young Yea did a good job. He sounded how I thought he would
I think Laios and Falin are both autistic, with personal differences between them
I also headcannon the guy leading the second team (the people who die all the time) forgot his name, as high-masking autistic. He is very outwardly nice to everyone and a people-pleaser, so I think he's autistic but his special interest is people, as opposed to Laios ans his SI in monsters.
Senshi kind of feels like very well-adjusted ND person, who just did their own thing, focused on their own special interest (cooking), and became very self-sustaining. He figured his whole life out without involving other people and fits the "weird loner". After all, not many people are willing to eat monsters, and even less are willing to follow the rules he sets and respects
Ornate engravings....
Give you no tactical advantage in combat.
Still one of my favourite deliveries of a line from the series.
My spouse asked me "What is this?" While showing me a gun in a game. 2 hours later they were making dinner and I was still talking about a completely different firearm and they just go "I thought you said your parents never noticed your autism?" Apparently I went full fugue state on them just ranting

forgot to add Skull Face (also from Metal Gear)
For me its if I get the routine I like I have to follow it 100% no rule breaking even if someone starts to peer pressure
But its has to be a good routine, once its broken I’m in the whirlwind of chaos for years
I’m crying laughing cause I looked at this and thought yep that’s definitely a little goober with autism
But I can’t actually think of why 😂 it just works
Yes!!! The Doctor is 100% AuDHD
(Honestly I think that in general it’s hard to make a nonhuman but looks human character with a longer than human lifespan and therefore doesn’t fully relate to humans or follow their social rules seem neurotypical. Add in any amount of eccentricity and it’s official in my opinion)
Editing to add that there’s a 40 minute video on YouTube just showing the 10th doctor exhibiting autistic traits if anyone has the time and interest in something like that 😁
Also Belle from Beauty and the Beast, a book nerd who liked to speak her mind
Also also, Beast/Adam also from Beauty and the Beast, who is big hairy 20 y/o who was shut up in his castle who easily bothered and has trouble communicating. (Seriously though, that hag is an evil old bitch who cursed an 11 y/o kid for not letting a suspicious stranger in his house; I'd also have refused)
and ariel doesn’t socially conform and she has her own sense of justice separate from her family, like how she saves eric’s life despite her father claiming humans are evil. she’s highly empathetic. ariel and mulan were always my fav princesses as a kid
Also Dorito (tbh I wouldn’t be shocked if Steven was neurodivergent but I haven’t watched to show in a while so I could be projecting)
![gif](giphy|lZghieMDPd3kQ)
Definitely!! And all the different anxeities. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steven was neurodivergent but tbh it could also be him being a child raised by aliens. Or me projecting, it’s been a while.
Pink Diamond seems to be more ADHD-coded, based on my experience with it. As for Steven, I'm not entirely sure, but he does have some autism-like traits, like high empathy and self-narration. These characters certainly both read some flavor of neurodivergent to me though!

Yes he’s literally an alien but also a relatable king
Adam Tudyk (actor) as Harry Vanderspeigle (character) from Resident Alien (TV Show, 3 seasons to date)
Show debuted, I believe, on SciFi, is streamable through Peacock (all seasons) or Netflix (only first 2 seasons, until next year). Or obviously, r/piracy can hook you up if that's your thing.
Show is rumored (not yet confirmed, I think) to be cancelled at 3 seasons, but there's a lot of hope that it will get picked up by Netflix or even Prime (it worked for The Expanse, right?), but we shall see.
I personally recommend this show, absolutely hilarious. But then, I'm a big fan of Alan Tudyk in general. Everything from 28 Days (Gerhardt) to Firefly (Wash), A Knight's Tale (Wat) to Moana (Hei Hei, the stupid chicken), he's absolutely hilarious & wonderful.
Sherlock Holmes and his brother Mycroft. ( from the books. I know that everybody says Sherlock from the show Sherlock is autistic.)
Charlie and possibly Nick from Heartstopper. Charlie I have a very good case. He has OCD and there’s a lot of crossover between those two connections. And just the way he can departmentalize and deals with trauma as well as the way he masks seems familiar to me. He is very evil as he lies to everybody except Nick and is quite good at manipulating peoples Actions and emotions. That cinnamon roll could rule the world one day, and then my opinion is perfectly capable of murder.
Nick, I think people will fight me because they’ll be like oh he’s such a people person he’s so open and I’m like OK there’s aspects of Nick that are in me and also. Nick is so open. And blunt in a positive way that I immediately thought of an autistic person. There are autistic people that are good at sports and talking to people. I’ve met them. They’re real. As the series reveals Nick doesn’t know what parts of his personality are real and what parts of his personality or just copied from the people around him to not upset people and we can all identify with that.

Thanks for this!
🙏❤️
My daughter and son, respectively
Also joker. Like. Literally almost entirely non-verbal, has the theater kid desire to plan out entire heists, literally fights god, it's all there
Will graham from red dragon/hannibal. Several of his traits like accidentally mimicking the people hes talking to, being able to make “logical leaps” other people cant, being physically incapacitated by heightened emotions or trauma.
In the series there is a lot of discussion around the concept of empathy, understanding why people do things. Will is such a good example of “autistic empathy”- he can understand peoples psychology and relate to them. But when most people say the word “empathy” they dont even mean it, theyre referring to the supernatural neurotypical ability to just tap into what everyone else in the room is feeling and act accordingly. Not actually empathizing with a person. Will doesnt know how to act in a social setting based on unwritten “rules”, but he can easily understand people and their motivations and make them feel seen.
I actually have so much more i can say but i already wrote a whole novel!
As a kid I always heavily related to Pinkie Pie as auDHD. She puts SO much work in to make sure she is doing everything to make people happy and still fails because she’s too high energy and misses social cues. People find her annoying when all she wants is to help! She has a lot of issues with rejection too if I remember. I should rewatch the show now that I’m an adult tbh
Personally I wouldn’t count Venom on account of >!him being drugged, hypnotized, and given surgery to become Big Boss (who absolutely is autistic)!< but hes definitely an honorary one at the very least.
Im pretty sure it gets canonized eventually but Abed from Community. Its just so funny to me that the creator didn’t realize he was writing an autism bc it was based on himself lmao
That’s actually incorrect he realized he was autistic because he was writing an autistic character, Dan Harmon was writing from the position of him being Jeff until the chicken fingers episode when he came full circle and realized he was abed. And it’s not canonized but it’s mentioned he has aspergers in the pilot and there are countless autism jokes centered around him great character

My comfort character. Even until now I still quote the "not just be a piece in their games" whenever my employer forces me to do something I don't want. Suzanne was cooking something hard in that series
This little goober. I love her (not in a sexual or romantic way), she's so adorable.
https://preview.redd.it/m05jl91svk4d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=617cc6e806ed685d4aa42d49cf0900374904b3ed
Also, her name is Sketch, and she's from PuppetGAME, which is a series from the YouTube channel Scary Story Time With Liam (SSTWL for short).
Does anyone remember the main character from Dead Like Me? I always felt like, maybe? It has been forever since I've seen it, but she was immediately my first thought. I think the show was trying to portray her as a teen with a bad attitude, but it always came off, to me, like she could probably be autistic.
Such a good show 💯 and looking back i think you're right... I distinctly remember one really uncomfortable encounter she had with a lady where the lady pushed a chair up and sat down, and you could hear every little sound the chair and her clothes made 😆 like the sounds were amped or something
Yes! I'm so glad someone remembers this, haha. She also was constantly getting into trouble for doing things the wrong way because when she asked why she was never given a real answer so she did what she thought was right instead 😅
I spent a lot of watching the 1989 dog/cop comedy Turner & Hooch insisting that Tom Hanks was autistic while my wife kept denying it.
*edit: im the film i mean, not real life

Lego The Atom definitely. He’s awkward af, only talks about his interests and is friends with dogs. Also he has mad drip
Actually no. Liquid was said to be the clone made from big boss’ dominant genes, autism is a recessive trait, therefore liquid snake is the only one of the 4 snakes to be NT.
I think they mention the Wrench is on the spectrum or like it's in his data you can see if you scan his face in the one mission you can.
But absolutely agree with this list. (Idk the second character but I'll defer to your judgement)
Albert Wesker (Resident Evil), Karl Heisenberg (Resident Evil), Harvey (Stardew Valley), Emily (Stardew Valley), Narinder (Cult of the Lamb), Jacob and Evie Frye (Assassin’s Creed Syndicate), Elizabeth Comstock (Bioshock Infinite), Eleanor Lamb (Bioshock 2), Caleb Quinn (Dead by Daylight)
this list could fit every protagonist ever since they always act like they're ND.
But Uzi Doorman from Murder Drones IMO is Def Autistic

I feel like they should just directly confirm it at this point.
Correction: NAKED Snake is autistic, not Venom. Literally every moment he gets to talk about a gun he goes on for a solid 3 minutes, whether in a Codec, with Eva or Miller. He got Eva with his autism rizz (Like she wasn't even supposed to fall in love with him, she risked the Chinese Government just for the sake of hearing him over explain warfare) and it even transfered a bit into Liquid (Autism is a dominant gene).
Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files. Doesn't make eye contact (even after Soulgazing), eats the same thing over and over again, get upset if his routine is disturbed, *extreme sense of justice,* talks in pop culture references, ignores authority, and more.
all of my favorite characters ngl..

Big boss is certainly autistic, his son Solid Snake infodumps about memes and cardboard boxes. It is a trait that passes on in the family.
While I dont think thats quite how that all went down Solid is also on the spectrum yes (side note is that flair “Autistics Sans Frontieres”?)

Big Boss is literally me.
Spoiler for mgsv
True I guess. Lemme fix that.
Noo I was just joking about how that's literally the plot to mgsv 😂
Ohhh, my bad xD I was making a different joke with the whole "Ryan Gosling is literally me" vibe. But yeah I guess that is pretty much the plot xD

A lot of the Snakes are just probably autistic ngl.
Also Rell from Warframe

Ooh, I remember this was confirmed via devstream on at least one occasion, even if it's not written into the game itself!
imo its pretty explicit with the emotion cards segment.

Umaru my dear daughter
I spent a lot of watching the 1989 dog/cop comedy Turner & Hooch insisting that Tom Hanks was autistic while my wife kept denying it. *edit: im the film i mean, not real life
What about Revolver Ocelot?
Flint Lockwood from the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs movies does every basic Autistic stereotype but in a comedic frame.

All of the snakes in MG are autistic except for liquid snake, prove me wrong.
Liquid Snake's special interest is genes and saying the word "BRRRROTHERRR"
Never ask what tenenbaum was doing during the late 1930's
this list could fit every protagonist ever since they always act like they're ND. But Uzi Doorman from Murder Drones IMO is Def Autistic https://preview.redd.it/co2oj080zk4d1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=288f49f851d933304cae3a6fc2970f1a20cf3d5f

Y'shtola from FFXIV
Sec unit from the murderbot diaries
Correction: NAKED Snake is autistic, not Venom. Literally every moment he gets to talk about a gun he goes on for a solid 3 minutes, whether in a Codec, with Eva or Miller. He got Eva with his autism rizz (Like she wasn't even supposed to fall in love with him, she risked the Chinese Government just for the sake of hearing him over explain warfare) and it even transfered a bit into Liquid (Autism is a dominant gene).

Carlton and Phillip Banks from the Fresh Prince.
Carlton I can Kinda see, but Uncle Phil is surprising. Its been a hot minute since I watched but what traits did he show?
I thought Sevatar's problem was a pathological lack of empathy, what does it have to do with autism ?
No, he is straight up autistic. That was the reason why he ascended the ranks of the 8th legion so quickly. He hyperfixatied on being a good night lord

This is going to sound random, but Cindy Lou Who from the live-action grinch. Doesn’t understand social norms, hyperfixation on grinch understanding, and incredibly clear diction and logical talking…. Idk I really related to her as a kid 😭
