I have not regularly attended mass for about 18 years now. Imagine my surprise to go to my sister's traditional Catholic wedding about 5 years ago only to find out they changed all the words LOL
IIRC, in the old, old days it was, "and with thy spirit." It's is more correct since the Latin uses the *tu.* I supppose thee/thou/thy is considered antiquated English.
