Nancy Rigdon. I just want to comprehend the strength she had to tell Joey the Pedo no then save the happiness letter instead of destroying it like she was supposed to. Fuckin heroine.
This seems like a great lesson to be taught by a PIMO. Not required to spout any doctrine, and it involves everybody talking in not necessarily religious ways.
Edit: totally do it! If you feel like chickening out you can just mention that she’s an ancestor and that she was a very intriguing woman experiencing polygamy at age 16 and maybe someone will go home and Google her.
Ooooo. I have the perfect answer to this one.
My mom (who is dead). I would ask her if after a lifetime of loudly denouncing polygamy, if she is really pleased with my father’s second wife (to whom he is also sealed…”pleased” is how he thinks my mom feels). Also, how is this all gonna work out? Does she get to kick wife #2 to the curb if she still rejects polygamy? Or does she have to choose between tolerating this nonsense or chilling in eternal limbo because being single is second rate?
Eta: I would bring a photoshopped wedding photo that had all 3 of them in it just to kick up the spice.
Lucy Walker is one of the saddest stories I found out about after leaving the church. You should totally do it, even if you can’t delve into her whole story.
Ladies who lunch? Ick. I went to lunch with some female friends the other day. We're more like ladies who drink wine and have lunch so we don't get too tipsy. lol
Lol so many opportunities to have fun with this lol, but it's ironic though cause knowing the church if someone had an answer that wasn't liked they probably would be pulled aside and talked to. Lol I think Giulia Tofana may be a good choice lol, she was technically one of the first advocates for domestic violence victims lol if the history is correct.
You know what RS presidency, just give me my new measuring spoons and chocolate and let’s move on.

Do they know the "history" of Ladies Who Lunch? It's not a Sunday thing.
Ladies who lunch is a phrase often used to describe well-off, well-dressed women who meet for social luncheons, usually during the working week. Typically, the women involved are married and non-working. Normally the lunch is in a high-class restaurant, but could also take place in a department store during a shopping trip. Sometimes the lunch takes place under the pretext of raising money for charity. - Wikipedia
If it could be *any* woman, then I'd meet [Bessie Coleman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bessie_Coleman), without hesitation. If it has to be one who was also a mother, then [Deborah Read](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deborah_Read).

She deserves so much respect for that!

If I went to church anymore I would do it. I've never been afraid to push things a bit. 😂

Oh....you do have a good one! The photo of the three of them would be a superb addition!

Good one!

It is sad and makes me even sadder when I see how extended family has always made her out to be so special and honored by JS.

"Ladies who day drink but are responsible about it". 🫶
Livin' the dream. haha
Everybody rise!
Michelle Obama. Confident, strong women sorta freak out the Mollys. And the Priesthood.
So true. I regularly pushed back and neither the women, nor the men knew quite what to do with me.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A TRUE champion of women (and men).
Feels like homework.
Good point. Somebody didn't want to prepare a lesson?

Honestly Emma Smith, which I think would be my mom's answer too. She's pretty nuanced these days and sympathizes a lot with Emma.

Ouch. Haven't heard that one before.
Caitlyn Jenner.
Ewww, gross! She's a Republican in a party that hates her.
Have another vodka stinger.
I'll drink to that!
Eleanor of Aquitaine.

Well, a few of those points apply to what the church would like - married, non-working women and the "under the pretext of raising money for charity."
