The last few years my ward has had the women bake mini loafs of bread to be handed out. There is usually a sign up sheet that is past around so everyone can say how many loaves they will make and then lots of pleading that they need more people to step up and make bread to give to the men on Father’s Day. I mean why purchase something when you can just have the women folk purchase their own supplies and make a bunch of mini loaves of bread for free in their not so spare time 🤦🏻‍♀️

In all of my years in the church, I remember only getting a can of root beer once… are Father’s Day gifts a thing?

Yeah, my dad only ever got a root beer from the company “dad’s root beer”. I remember as a young men going with my friends and taking all the extras

I never really got gifts in any of the wards I've been in. I guess the best gift was being able to leave the building!
