TRP is intentionally vague about their "statistics" because any data they have is cherry picked, misrepresented or completely made up. I've reversed image-searched several "graphs" and "charts" that are typically found on red pill sites and blogs and there is no original source for them. Keep in mind these are the types of graphs/charts that suspiciously looks like they were created in Microsoft Publisher by literally anyone - down to the same generic template. RP always had bad credibility but once you're members are manufacturing fake studies and numbers it's obvious that an agenda is getting pushed. Edit: Alot of RPs/MGTOW will share articles and research from "Institute For Family Studies" - not a credible or unbiased organization btw, they are a Conservative Think Tank so you know what kind of narratives are going to be getting promoted there 😉

They also love misinterpreting stats and have zero Idea how even cross tab or looks t them.

The only stat that I've ever heard was that divorce is basically a coin flip. I've never confirmed it, but I've seen it listed so many places outside of red pill that I assumed enough people had verified it. I've never heard of that 90% number though, so it may as well be made up. One undocumented stat I can say that is alarming though is the absolute rise in popularity of red pill. Heck, to see that one random youtuber who got censored the other day make a lot of news channels was pretty nuts. Nate or whatever he was called. I don't follow red pill media. I had only been introduced to red pill through MGTOW. And "Going my own way" seemed like the perfect idea for an asexual in a hook-up culture society, lol! But as it turns out, just dating another asexual was the real answer, so I gave up trying to do my own thing.

That's usually how it works when they constantly pull it out their ass.

Sometimes it's just as easy as saying "they're lying to you". It's arguing by authority that doesn't quite exist in the way that's specified... or at all. Then there's lying by omission of context, which happens a ton. It's a very good manipulation strategy because there's always a kernel of truth in there somewhere that can be retreated to when the pressure gets too high. The there's lying by implication. Where a reasonable fact is used to expand into a cloud castle. They're not exactly critical thinkers. So when they discuss statistics, it's more than reasonable to assume that they haven't, in fact, read any. Or if they have (a bit of a stretch) they almost certainly got it wrong. As a general rule, I'd say it's a good idea to not trust anyone that wears sunglasses indoors and claims to know the truth.

Negative-Train-3303

Very well said. I guess what's annoying is the constant assertion they make that what they're saying is evidence-based and the overused motto of: "facts don't care about your feelings". It's so ironic when they're basing their opinions on exactly that...feelings.

vcreativ

Thanks. :) Bad people exist, they're a thing. In a way they're right, if you look at Fresh and Fit, they were quite consistently able to find dysfunctional women that would come on their podcast to say some rather outrageous things. So there is evidence. But instance never proves systematic existence. Facts don't care about your feelings, also true. But they're missing the second part of that statement which is equally relevant. Facts really care about *context*. If you can, don't be annoyed, they're looking for a reaction. Instead, see them for what they are, dysfunctional losers. I find it quite difficult to get annoyed at losers being losers.

They keep pulling statistics out of thin air (lying) or misrepresenting actual statistics, or using crappy, small samples, or ignoring the other half of the equation (ex. they complain about women going for people out of their league on dating apps when men do the same). You'll make yourself crazy trying to keep up with their misinformation. Better to just look for stats on anything you're interested in, find the best source and be satisfied with that as the truth, rather than whatever nonsense they said.
