decidedlycynical

I like the 36. It feels weird though. Like if I “only” have 350 miles to empty, I start looking for a gas station….

Reno83

I need to develop that habit. I usually fill up when it gets down to a quarter.

Duhbro_

When the gas station cuts at 100$ smh. I’m like uh bruh tryna give you more money

StreetAway6731

Real shit, The gas station nearby with the cheapest gas cuts off at $50, have to run my car damn near run my card 3-4 times.

TheAbstractHero

Press the assistance button and ask for higher auth amount *cries into 50 gallon diesel tank*

vauge24

Can you go in person to pre authorize a higher amount? Less annoying than re running it 3/4 times

Duhbro_

Super annoying I got a truck w a 35 gallon tank and I run it all the way down every time

Glad-Television3313

Where do yall guys live where yalls pumps cut off at a certain amount? I've never heard of that before 🤯

EmotionEastern8089

Dude I know. I hate having to run my card twice. Usually costs me $120-140 to fill it up. That's why I usually top it off when it hits half a tank.

Duhbro_

Yeah see I got the v10 in my work truck and it gets some bad milage so I really don’t wanna be filling up at 180 miles lol I only get like 350-400miles per 35 gallons

EmotionEastern8089

Same here, but with a 5.4. If i can squeeze out 400 miles on 36 gal then i'm above average.

Whole-Buy7817

Our gas station of choice usually cuts off at $75, but with gas prices going up, I was recently cut off at $100. I used to go to my second gas station of choice to finish my fill up, it’s the same brand gas. I have had it drilled into my head that you fill up at half a tank, but I usually do it between a quarter of a tank to half a tank.

Duhbro_

Yeah what a pita

ypsicle

I generally don’t let it get lower than half. Filling at 18 gallons feels tolerable.

shitdesk

Me filling up when I’m about 1/18th of the tank

Upbeat-Pepper7483

I like to put 25-40 at a time lmao. I have the money to fill up but for some reason I can’t stand doing it.

UT24andres

Fudge, my max range is 350 if I’m lucky

ratbird9

Not realizing you bought a 36 gallon tank and filling up a 36 gallon tank. I love it

ughthatsucks

The first time I filled up my truck (that I bought used) I looked underneath during fill to make sure I didn’t have a leak. It was a very welcome surprise to find out I just had a gigantic tank.

ChefGuapo

LMAO me too

Lower_Potential_173

Ok good, it wasn’t just me!

Foothills83

This amuses me. I bought used and one of the biggest reasons I picked the specific truck I did was the big tank. For towing across Nevada, Utah, Idaho, etc.

AccumulationCurve

Exact same thing happened to me. Pure confusion and concern when I ticked well over $90 bucks on my first fill up when I bought used (now I don't blink when I spend 100+). My first truck so I didn't really know how to read a window sticker, just knew it was a Lariat with a 5.0 and I wanted it.

flyingcat1114

What a shocking realization when I first got gas in my truck but now I love it

yourfaceilikethat

The worst part is the pump shutting you off at $125 and never being able to completely fill the tank

Comprehensive_Two219

Have to use a WEX fuel card to get passed the limits! It’s been a game changer.

bergieisbeast

Don't run it below 1/4 and you should be fine. (Exept California)

yourfaceilikethat

I fill up every 2 weeks when I get paid. I have a 36 gallon tank I'm using the whole 36 gallons lol

NotoriousCFR

A gas station near me used to have a completely insane *$50* pre-authorization limit. I had to swipe twice even to fill up my old Subaru Outback.

K4NNW

We're still at $100 with Sheetz here in VA. -_-

LongjumpingProfit415

I think that cutoff limit comes from the card you use. Different cards have better limits.

yourfaceilikethat

I dunno I had different cut offs at different pumps. I don't think it's a card limit some stations I can fill up no problem. Other its 125 pretty consistently

OkPlenty5960

lol I’ve paid close to $120 for half a tank of gas with the same tank in Canada. That’s a steal.

Holiday-Animator-504

120 beaverdollars is equal to 90 burgerbucks.

Public-Mulberry-8532

*Eaglebacks

nathonkim

lol. Beaverdollars. lol

sunrunnerpei

I’d kill for a $120 fill in mine. (Cries in Canadian)

Wherearethestonks

33 Gallon tank. filled up at Sams last week for 77$ in Oklahoma.

Lower_Potential_173

Yea but you had to be in Oklahoma. So…. 😅

Ok_Today_475

Cries in coyote

Stachemaster86

Awoooo

Foodstamp001

I hate the pumps that shut you off at $150 and make you do it twice.

ThatWhit3Guy19

I was just about dry and it was 210$ Canadian to fill mine 😭

sunrunnerpei

$250.92 Canadian to fill mine from dead empty with 91 octane at today’s price.

Reno83

Here in Colorado, I've encountered some at shut off after $100 or $120

Achilles-18-

Paid 176 yesterday to fill my 136L tank. Pain.

TXscales

It’s about $100 to fill it up from empty over here in Texas

Reno83

This is CO, I paid $3.99/gallon for 91 octane.

eroseman1

May I ask what engine/trim you have and why 91? I’ve always put 87 in the 3.5 ecoboost but the Raptor R takes 93

TXscales

Wasting money on 91

Great_Will341

Lucky you

bullet_magnet_

No cons. Wouldn't buy another one without it. Owned my 2017 since new and it's my single favorite feature.

CobaltGate

Now we know why Ford has what should be a $125 option that they charge around $500 for.

bullet_magnet_

It's wild. They should legit all come with this tank.

CobaltGate

Ope, now that you said that, I just checked it. Base prices went up significantly, but they do all come with the 36 gallon tank now (2024 models).

bullet_magnet_

The new prices are unfathomable to me. 2017 Supercab XLT 302a. 3.5 Ecoboost w/ 10 speed 3.55 locking rear Center console 36 gallon tank MSRP 46,500 Paid 35,382 out the door. Now that would be mid 50's at least.

CobaltGate

True, but you do also have seven years of inflation in there. But I hear ya, pricing has gone up.

wtfboomers

In 2017 that was a huge price for a truck. Per year it really hasn’t changed much. They are crazy expensive though…

[deleted]

[удалено]

Public-Mulberry-8532

Do you ever let them ride in the cab?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lower_Potential_173

It’s a no-wake boat ride. See?

TheMightyClem

It's a good feeling when your range at a half tank is still more than some other trucks have with a whole tank.

Interesting-Can4877

My half tank range is about the same as my buddies full tank range with his Hemi and 98L tank.

another_mccoy

My towing truck is a 22 Ram 3500 diesel. It's got a 50 gallon tank. When I'm not pulling a trailer and babying the pedal, I can go *almost* 1,000 mile on a full tank. A little over a month ago I bought a 2021 F150 (diesel, but wasn't specifically looking for a diesel) and the puny 26 gallon tank only let's me go ~650 miles when full.

Interesting-Can4877

I hear some weight loss on that 3.0L will yield some impressive fuel economy.

another_mccoy

Sometimes I park in shady neighborhoods and things go missing... 🤷‍♂️

LadderAny7421

There are no cons. The fuel costs what it costs. You just fill up less.

PhilpotBlevins

It's an eye opener for sure, but there are zero cons regarding a large tank.

Reno83

The only con is that it sometimes makes you cry at the gas pump. This truck is a lot more gentle than the last one, though. It's a 2017 Screw Lariat w/ 5.0L V8 and I average 18mpg mixed city/hwy. My last truck, 2012 Screw Lariat w/ 5.0L V8, averaged about 13mpg mixed city/hwy (400 to 450 miles on a full tank).

PhilpotBlevins

Just don't fill it up.

iam_LLORT

It uses the same amount to drive of fuel regardless of tank size lol you’d spend the same, just in smaller amounts with a smaller tank. I tell people that all the time when they’re like “How do you afford to fill it?” My commute is my commute. I can just make more trips before stopping at the gas station.

LongjumpingProfit415

I would take 2 if I could.

ButterBoy42000

How’s that a con? You still use the same amount of fuel.

Safe_Ask_8798

pros: 500 mile range cons: people behind you waiting to fill up die from old age

LongjumpingProfit415

LOL, yea, try it with a gaggle of teenagers in the truck on a hot summer day. Oh how I do enjoy watching them squirm.

Monkeyflawz

The amount of gas stations that restrict pump transactions to $100 is infuriating. It stupid to be required two credit card transactions for a full tank fill. Once I’ve identified a station I’ll avoid at all cost, they don’t deserve my money.

K4NNW

Where are you and what stations do NOT have that limit?

Monkeyflawz

Indiana, Costco is always the winner.

K4NNW

Ahhh. We don't have such wonderful stores within 75 miles of home.

shinobi1369

Costco. The only place I fill up my truck unless I am on a road trip. Then it's usually at truck stops. Never hit a limit yet.

LongjumpingProfit415

I love my 36 gallon tank. I have learned to more or less trust the "miles till empty" and try to fill up as close to empty as possible. The Kroger, Fred Meyer's, Safeway, Chevron groups points go towards fuel and the discount has a limit of 35 gallons. This allows me to maximize my savings. Up to $1.00 off per gallon with a limit of 35 gallons is real money.

deeretech129

Bought a used pickup about 6 months ago, I was looking for the 36 gallon tank but found one I liked for a pretty great price (IMO, at least...) I was a bit bummed to see the window sticker had the 23 gallon tank. Went to fill it up and put 31 gallons in it :D Once it hit 19 or 20 gallons, I was thinking to myself "any minute now..."

Reno83

Same. All the trucks I saw advertised said 23 gallons. Maybe the dealerships are just too lazy to look into it. It was to the point where I was considering just buying one with a 23-gallon tank and installing an aftermarket extended range tank.

DrMasterBlaster

My last vehicle, a Honda Element, barely made 240 miles to the tank. I love the 36 gallon tank.

james18205

The most “to empty” based off my mpg average was 776 on my ‘18 lariat. I was hoping to hit 800 one day lol.

Emailman1

I have run mine down to 10 or 15 miles and still only put 30 in the 36 gallon tank. Is there an amount of “reserve” built in and has anyone ever ran it dry?

wtfboomers

This just happened to me and my Uncle, with the same truck, has seen the same thing. That’s a crazy amount of “cushion”. Personally I would rather see the actual range estimate than have that amount of cushion.

Ptangotat

I did some data collection and analysis, probably too much. The low on gas light comes on when the truck estimates you have 50 miles until empty (about 0.1 on fuel gauge). At that point it only takes 29 gallons to fill to full, which means you have at least 7 gallons which is arguably 135 more miles (not 50). There’s also a built in “reserve” capacity, so maybe 10-20 more miles, but don’t push it.

pavehawkfavehawk

Yeah it’s awesome. I hauled my camper 150 miles, drove around trails hunting for two days and then hauled it back and didn’t even need gas until I was headed home from work the next day

silenceispurity

Damn my 23 xlt crew cab 3.5 with the 36 averages 19.3 mpg and my max range has never been more than like 640 when I fill up

Reno83

You need to spend more time in eco and less time in boost. I was surprised that the V6 EB didn't get much better gas mileage than the V8.

silenceispurity

So should I not drive in normal mode?

Acceptable-One-6597

What's it cost to get the swap in a 36? I'd love to have a big ol tank

Interesting-Can4877

Whats your truck configuration? Up in Canada it's pretty rare to not have the 36gal tank unless you have 2WD.

Acceptable-One-6597

2020 150 2.7L 4x4 (fx4)

pgercak

Love the 36 Gallon tank in my 19 5.0, didn't know it had it when I first bought it. Only thing that sucks is that the Gen 3 5.0 gets really bad spark knock if you put low Octane gas in it, so 93 Octane is the only way to keep it from happening, so every trip to the gas pump and I'm basically selling a kidney lmao

Left_Egg_4038

I just downsize from a ram 2500 diesel with 50 gallon tank to a 2023 f150 2.7 with 26 gallon tank. I always feel like I’m low on fuel but now I can leave the gas pump running and go in the store for a drink. I’m no longer afraid of a $200 fuel up!!

Chatfail

Man I’m always afraid of worst case scenarios 😭 I never leave my pump unattended

maryjanesbestfriend

I have the same tank… in Texas, I go to the grocery store Brookeshire‘s and they have great fuel savings, I usually get $1.10 off every time I fill up, so I’m usually filling up at around two dollars a gallon and it only cost me around $75-$80 to fill up the tank

[deleted]

[удалено]

Reno83

EVs are definitely cheaper to drive if you have access to the charging infrastructure. However, having a 700-mile range on a single fuel up is nice. Especially when I go camping, hauling/towing, or on road trips to visit family in AZ. It's nice to know the "No services next 200 miles" signs don't necessarily apply to me.

Camdenn67

Even though it’ll come out the same if the price of gas stays the same but, if you don’t like sticker shock, never let it get to the half a tank mark. Personally, I only use Exxon 93 here in Atlanta and I always fill up before I get to the half a tank mark. I ran it almost to empty one time and I’ll never do that again.

anlwydc

I know that’s not a 5.0 because my truck could NEVER go that far on 36 gallons 😭

Reno83

Are you sitting down? It's a 5.0L V8 (2017). I can relate to your comment, though. Every time I looked on the forums or Fuelly, I thought people were just fudging their numbers. It seemed that my 2002 w/ the 5.4L Triton and my 2012 w/ the 5.0L Coyote were always on the low end of the mpg numbers being reported. This is the first time I've had a truck where I have the good fortune to be accused of fudging with the numbers.

neuor

Love my 36 gallon tank. I have a short drive to work and fill up every six weeks or so. We travel 250 miles or so multiple times a summer and getting to our destination with well over half a tank left is very choice.

Cheesewhiz4

I travel long distances and go from atlantic Canada to Ontario regularly. The 36 gallon tank I can fill up on the New Brunswick side of the New Brunswick/Quebec border and my next fill up would be in Ontario. Now the point of this story is the bigger tank allows me to bypass Quebec's high gas prices. It lets me have more choice where to fill up and I have more range to play with when trip planning. Of course its anecdotal but the last gas station in New Brunswick is always approximately $0.10 - $0.15 per litre (40 to 60 cents a gallon ish) cheaper than Quebec, same with the gas station on the Ontario side of the Ontario/Quebec border. Whenever I've travelled. Cons...waiting to fill in extreme temperatures sucks. Possibly weight? Might effect fuel economy, not sure how much of a difference it makes compared to the smaller fuel tank option, only ever had the large fuel tank option.

gold76

Why is the pump a con, you spend the same amount over the same number of miles less the added weight which isn’t that much $$.

Reno83

It's all psychological, really. If I'm not going to be diligent enough to fill up more often, I have to operate under the premise of "buy once, cry once."

jman8080

I love the 36 gallon. Best way to go IMO.

jaywait80

That’s like 175 bucks where I am in Canada. Yuck.

jaywait80

But that being said. It’s a truck and I love it regardless of fuel prices.

Revolt2992

Pros: more time between fill ups. Cons: fuck me

NefariousnessSea4710

EVs could never

lerobinbot

nice

BaneWraith

Would love 4$ a gallon, where I live in quebec it's basically 6.80 a gallon

wellcrap1234

Wow. $3 here in Kentucky.

DieselTech00

That would last me over a month. I fill my 23 gallon tank about every three weeks

Bit_the_Bullitt

36 gal on 733 to E gives you about 20.3mpg. First off, how? 2.7 eco? Also, your long term is 18.4. I'm either dumb or confused, likely both

jwptexas

I get 21.5 mpg in my 15' screw 5.0 36 gal tank as well

Bit_the_Bullitt

Ah yeah I forget about the 5.0. I get 28 in my Bullitt on the highway, so in an F150 21ish seems right

Reno83

It's a 2017 with the 5.0L. As for the average, I recently reset it and did a lot of mountain driving on a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.

PhaseIIINVG

685 max range! I love it!

FLTDI

30 gallons once is the same price as 15 gallons twice.....

wtfboomers

We travel a lot in places where stops for fuel can be far apart. There are no cons to the large tank. When I bought my 23 someone talked me into the large tank. I thank them every time I see them 😃

scottyTOOmuch

What year is yours? I have a 17 and when I fill up the 36g tank it shows a little over 600 miles to empty. Where is my extra 100 miles 😂

Reno83

It's also a '17. I'm probably getting closer to 670 to 700. It definitely starts high but adjusts as I drive.

MitchSexton

Love mine and haven't found a con yet. Definite pro is hauling a side by side 8 hours and not having to stop for gas.

Geeblehoppin

There are no cons, sure it costs more to fill it up, but you’re using the same amount of gas. If you drive long distances or tell anything, the 36 is the way to go When I bought my current truck, I was actually signing the paperwork on another truck and then I suddenly realized there was an option for 36 gallon tank so I said no I don’t want this truck anymore, find me a similar one with a 36

Cultural-Voice423

They have cute girls over there

[deleted]

[удалено]

Reno83

You have to pick the downhill routes and coast. Also, I should add, I'm running the stock tire size with a moderately aggressive all-terrain tread pattern.

Rough-Carrot2273

Great freaking range. 1350kms like 840 miles if you are light footed.

crashdowninit

I have the 36 in my 2021. Can’t get more than 28 gallons in it when empty. I get 16.1 mpg with 3.5 eco boost and drive like a little old lady. Dealership has looked at it multiple times and said it’s normal…. So I fill up and get 450 miles to a tank, people I know with the exact same truck can get 34+ gallons in on empty and get almost 700 miles to tank… and yes. It’s been verified it has the right tank.

Jroc734

The big tank is the bomb for E85.

invalid-username--

Pro- more gas Con- more money to fill Simple.

Aggressive-Eagle2772

I also fill my 36gallon at around a qtr tank. 100$ usually gets me close to full. I love having enough gas for a whole week or 2 of work...It's nice!

mps71977

Nobody’s mentioning not parking on a hill, facing downward with less than a quarter tank of gas. It can’t pick up enough fuel and doesn’t start. Other than that it’s great. Almost 700 miles a tank.

Savings_Ad7034

Dang I only get 16 mpg. How are you guys getting 18?! 2018 3.5 w/ 36 gal tank and I baby the throttle. Full tank is just under 600 miles.

thecanadianplumber

My last fill was $190CAD

Double-Option4777

Nothing is sillier than complaining about how much it costs to fill a large gas tank vs a small one. Obviously it doesn't actually cost more per mile, and you don't have to go to the gas station as often. There are zero cons.

Quesque8

There are zero cons. My KR has it. I love it.

nbz_joey06

it’s 120 to fill my mustangs 15 gallon tank in california bruh ur literally living luxury as fuck 🤣

SuperChargedToaster

I like mine, I can go about 2 weeks (if driving normal) without filling up. But when I had my old job I filled up about once a week (drove atleast 50 miles a day on average)

Possible-Election747

I don’t see any cons.. you’re spending the same amount either way. Less time at the gas convenience store = less chances to go inside and buy BS.

DORTx2

Damn, I've got a 24 gallon tank on my truck and I get the same range.

Head_Fisherman_8225

In 2019, I was like, gas price isn't so bad. But now I'm like meh my half tank is like most people's full tank. So it's like kinda a full tank. So I'm gaslighting myself literally and figuratively.

chisecurls

Not really a con because you’re going to buy that gas anyway whether it’s every week with the small tank or every other week with the large tank

BootyJuice59

Pros : more driving Cons: more monies In all seriousness I love mine, about 600 miles to the tank. What motor do you have? 733mi must be nice! And what fuel do you run?

Reno83

This is with the V8. As for fuel, I use 91 octane. Not sure if the higher octane helps any, especially here in Denver at higher elevation and summer/winter blends. Also, it is on stock tires (all-terrain).

BootyJuice59

Damn man that’s not bad, I have a 2020 5.0 I haven’t gotten over that 600 mark running 93. I’m leveled with beefier tires too, sure that doesn’t help 😂

Ok-Guest-1156

That's pretty cheap. Where you located.

Reno83

This is in Colorado.

01ds650

36 gal tank here. Local Marathon cuts at $100. Love having the bigger tank though because it’s less gas station stops. It’s been 4 weeks since I filled up. (I Have a second vehicle that catches half of my miles). The fill up cost sucks, but a person doesn’t have to fill it every time.

Rudycannotfail

Fill up at Costco, the limit takes the 36 gallon tank on, but I’m in Canada and it gets you pumping in $150 or more.

shamboi

Easily one of my favorite things about my truck

Competitive-Comb-157

My only disappointment with the 36 gal tank is that when I see miles to empty from others, I get jealous. You are getting 733mi on a fillup and I'm getting 540 (with a 3.5 stock)...sob...LOL

Reno83

That's surprising, but I've been seeing a lot of 3.5 EB owners commenting the same.

somedumbpainter

Just got one last week and I must say, I enjoy it. I drove about 200 miles on ~1/4 tank which would've been almost a full tank in my Escape.

kritter4life

I love it. I go out of town frequently on the weekends and can get there, drive around all weekend and get home on one tank.

xxxkram

Cries in Canadian… at the highest I was 286 for a fullll tank. But it lasted me 2-3 weeks. Miss that truck!

onegraymalkin

My 120$ fill-up haha...

Smoke_thatskinwagon

Going from this tank back to the small one I feel like I fill up every other day now haha

ScrewJPMC

Shame Ford didn’t squeeze a 36 into the PowerBoost. I like the hybrid truck but don’t love the 28 gallon tank on a long road trip with a loaded trailer.

VirtualNote3565

Thats not bad tho

jecasey

$2.99 for me in Georgia so it’s not too bad. What engine you have getting 18.6mpg out of curiosity?

Reno83

5.0L V8

caseiusalpha

Lot better than mine, 17mpg at best and I only drive state highway and interstate. Wonder why.

Dry_Jello4161

My truck was below a 1/4. Put 28 gallons in.

EmotionEastern8089

Pro's, more fuel so less fill ups if you don't have a heavy foot. Cons, more fuel so it sucks to fill it up. I don't ever let mine get below half so fillups don't suck as bad when gas is $4+ a gallon.

rendeal

I thought my 88 got bad gas mileage but it’s about the same.

bantamfarmer

Sometimes you have to do two transactions for a fill up.

bvantheman76

worth it though, I fill up my truck with 93+ from 0 to hero, can get pricey but hey, need to hear them horses

bluecrude

136 litre too. Get like 1,100 kn to a tank in summer

PrestigiousScallion6

Top mine off every two weeks on payday no matter where the gauge is. Let it go one time and that $125 fill up hurt.

Percentage-Visible

No cons

Dry-Bet-8269

I love my large fuel tank. My local grocery store offers fuel discounts based on how much you spend in store (up to 30 gallons). In order to maximize the savings, I always use the discount on my truck vs my wife's 18 gallon tank. $1 gallon fuel discount=$30 savings.

Unlucky_Leather_

The only con is getting one of those slow pumps and having to wait 15 minutes to fill up! Fun story: my 14 f150 had the 36g tank. I bought a 16 f250 for towing and it only had a 26g tank. I couldn't do the 350 mile range, so I upgraded to a 56g tank. Now at a 1/4 tank I'm still looking at 250+ miles before I need to stop.

_the_big_sd_

I really regret not doing my research on '24 changes. Standard 3.55 gears on the 3.5L and standard 36gal tank...

slidell200

18.6 x 36=669.6 miles

Reno83

What it displays there is a running average of city/highway. When I look at the history, there are some higher and some lower. For example, we went to Rocky Mountain National Park two weeks ago and my average for that trip was 12ish (high elevation mountain driving with a naturally aspirated v8). Also, if I'm really on the pedal, 1 physical mile of travel may take 2 miles of range. There's definitely a tolerance to that 733. I think it's more like 675 to 700.

stumphead11

Is there a certain option package you need to get for the bigger tank? I'm having a hard time finding the option to add it on their website.

Reno83

I just went on Ford's website. I couldn't find the option on the Build & Price tool. I asked the chatbot and it told me, "it's definitely an option (for an XL) that must be specified with the dealership." If you're on the used market, like me, be aware that a lot of dealerships will automatically list them as 23-gallon tanks. I didn't find out until I test drove it that it had a 36-gallon tank. I thought I was looking at a 23-gallon configuration until I looked at the undercarriage at the dealership.

FivePops

Can anyone think of a single con?

Reno83

Well, I'll play devil's advocate, here's 5 cons off the top of my head: 1. The weight of 36 gallons of gasoline reduces mpg and eats into my payload capacity. 2. Sometimes, when prices are high, I tear up at the pump and look like a sissy-man in front of the gas station attendant and patrons. 3. If there was such a thing, I wouldn't be allowed into any 23-gallon clubs/gangs. 4. If ever I had to drop the tank and it was full, 36 gallons would be heavier than 23 gallons of gasoline. 5. On road trips, I have less excuses to stop for hot cheetos and instead have to feign a weak bladder or diarrhea.

Straight_Bit417

Not long ago in Vancouver it was triple that to fill up an F-150. 136 litres at $2.5

I had a 36 gallon tank on my 2015 Ford F150. I didn't get one on my 2023 that is the one of many options I wish I had.

Lmao just did a 5 hour road trip. Felt like it took me 20 minutes for a full refuel but I still got tons of gas

Equivalent_Fox1345

Love mine 36 gallon tank for the long trips knowing less stops but normal driving around town I don’t let it run below half. I can push it 2 weeks on a half.

Amazingly, I spend less money on gas driving my '23 Raptor, even with premium fuel and the 37 package, than in my '22 4Runner with 33s lol. My 4Runner, 33s, RTT, camping set up gets like 15-16 on the highway on a good day...Whereas the Raptor gets 19-20 mpg. That difference is more than enough to make up for the gas cost. On a 700 mile trip, I pay $25 less on gas with my Raptor than with my 4Runner and there's a 50 cent difference per gallon between regular vs. premium where I live. Crazy math....

Wolfgangsta702

I get 16 with an 18 gallon tank

I go to Costco to get my fuel. Its so much cheaper.

TurbodToilet

That’s honestly really good mileage. Is this with stop and go traffic?

Reno83

I would say 60% highway, 40% city. Not so much stop and go, though.

TurbodToilet

Ah ok. Makes a lot more sense then. Still really good mileage overall from the 5.0

$60 twice a month or $120 once a month. It’s all the same. Though the larger tank gives you flexibility to get gas at the cheapest place.
