There are plenty of YouTube videos to find cool places that I couldn’t tell you off the top of my head. Some good places though are at the top left of the map to the right of vault 51 in the mountains. It is flat, has a great view, and has little to no enemies. There’s also some areas below vault 79 and a few in the cranberry bog. However, if you really want to make a forever Camp make it your own. Pick a location that you love and not one you are told is good. I find this to be more fulfilling to my camp builds and I love the camp that much more. Bonus perk: not that many people will interfere with your camp spot if you pick somewhere on your own.
The savage divide has some of the best views in the game. I recommend exploring parts of the map that have squiggly lines for cliff edges.
Also if it’s your forever home, maybe look for a lake too. Looks nice and you’ll always want a supply of purified waters
If you want a permanent spot that will be always free, you need to think outside of the box. Fix a spot where most people won't build. Decent view + flat/semiflat land is what everyone is looking for. Also, keep in mind, you dont need to make the camp in the middle of the camp zone., where you placed the module.
are you looking to be way out of the way, or somewhere where you will get lots of traffic?
I have camps on both sides of that pond, and you can set it up so the mirelurks rarely bother you.
there are also several large flat areas a bit closer to whitespring near that spot
at the end, you will almost always get the occasional attack, be it ghouls or molerats. not having turrets helps reduce this, but nothing eliminates it totally.
If you want the best view in the game, build on top of Seneca Rocks. It’s challenging, but you’re rewarded with a unique camp if you put the time and effort!
