blond... Sorry if that's a boring answer, I just really like it. Frank Ocean has this way of talking about heartache that is very sad but also somehow empowering
Blood on the tracks- bob dylan
And In the Darkness, Hearts Aglow- weyes blood
relistened to both about a month ago for the first time in around a year for them both and remembered why they're two of my all time favs
I would recommend it absolutely if you like titanic rising, you might not like it quite as much but you should still really enjoy it. For me personally, they're about on par with each other but I know that's not a super popular take, and Children of the Empire is one of my favourite tracks ever
It's a phenomenal album, one that I appreciate far more than Process. I remember being obsessed with it when it came out, just putting it on and enjoying my lunch break walks. It did such a good job at setting the mood.
Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
I'm brand new to Lana, and this has me so excited for NFR and other projects. Like I'm trying to savor it lol
You're in for a treat! Lana's discography is so rich...NFR is one of those albums I wish I could hear for the first time again, it's remained my favourite album of all time since it was released.
In Rainbows - Radiohead
I’m almost sick of how obsessed I am with this album, it’s always playing in my head. The rhythms, the melodies, they haunt me, they turn me into a phantom.
also a recent fan of the Beatles, I listened to Revolver on a whim a few months ago and quickly grew obsessed lol. I've listened to all their albums now.
Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, The White Album and Abbey Road are all S tier if you haven't listened to some of them yet.
Their older stuff is also great. A Hard Days Night and Help! in particular are fantastic pop albums.
I really really love the more psychedelic songs on sgt peppers (lucy, a day in the life..). What beatles album would you recommend for me? :) I have ony listened to pepperd and abbey road so farä
I would say Revolver, it's probably their most straight up psychedelic album period, and it's really good.
Rubber Soul is also excellent. A little more folky than anything that came after it, but also psychedelic and haunting in its own way.
Magical Mystery Tour was recorded right after Sgt. Pepper and released as an EP. Then when it was released in the US they put some of their recent singles on the B-side and put it out as a full lenght LP, which is the Spotify version. It has a lot psychedelic songs similar to Sgt Pepper's such as Strawberry Fields Forever, Blue Jay Way, I Am The Walrus
Revolver is also maybe their most psychedelic album (and maybe my favorite of theirs) however Revolver is more guitar-driven compared to the weird instruments and orchestras on Sgt. Pepper. I'm Only Sleeping, She Said She Said, Tomorrow Never Knows, Love You To are probably the most psychedelic songs on there
Rn I'm obsessed with Plastic Surgery Disasters by The Dead Kennedys. I watched the review and decided to check it out since I've been listening to more punk in the last year and I was hooked by the third track.
turn on the bright lights - interpol
I’ve always loved obstacle 1 but never fully appreciated the rest of the album until I listened to it in the car last week and it suddenly clicked. Been listening to it almost every day since
100% agree and ill add that the view a lot of people have on radiohead makes that record overlooked by default since a lot of the community seems to prefer their most "complex" records even though the bends is completely fine even if not as layered as ok computer or kid a
Daft punk - RAM
Loved daft punk but didn't listen to anything after their tron soundtrack. Came across another post that RAM was one of the best produced albums of all time. Still exploring it and enjoyong the ride so far.
lately it's been
Under Pressure - Logic
Supermodel - Foster the People
Freddie - Freddie Gibbs
All so good, also Big Fish Theory is a great album for real
lately life has been kinda dreary so i’ve been seeking the most upbeat, unserious music to combat that:
Prince- 1999, George Michael- Faith, Madonna- Like a Virgin, Janet Jackson- Control, Sade- Diamond Life, Talking Heads- Remain in Light, Depeche Mode- Music for the Masses
Twin Fantasy (2018) - Car Seat headrest
Such a beautiful album I only recently heard, constantly listening to Sober to death, Bodys and Famous Prophets.
Two Star & The Dream Police by Mk.Gee has been warranting at least a daily play for me since it was released in Feb
For an older one I listened to loveless by my bloody valentine for the first time about a month ago and I’ve been incredibly hooked ever since
Just all things Mach hommy right now. Listened to the GAT last year and loved it, recently got a google drive with all of his other albums on it and he’s so good lmao
This album rules. I saw him open for Gorillaz the year it came out and the sound system at WaMu just straight up didn't work for the first 2/3rds of his set so we couldn't hear anything in the first tier of seats as he leapt around stage rapping his heart out. It was tragic
I’ve been listening to Hello Nasty by the Beastie Boys on repeat a lot recently.
I didn’t grow up on the Beastie Boys so I am getting into their discography rather late. People really like to talk a-lot about Paul’s Boutique, and I think it’s a blast and a fantastic album as well. But I personally really prefer the more mature lyrics and compositions on Ill Communication, and especially Hello Nasty.
Super Disco Breakin’, Remote Control, Body Movin’, and of course Intergalactic are all still blasts to listen to. Hearing the virtuoso Mix Master Mike on Three MC’s and one DJ never ceases to amaze me. And Yauch on I Don’t Know always brings me tears. It’s a fantastic album from beginning to end, full of different themes, sounds, and emotions throughout.
Some I’ve been obsessed with lately include:
Selfish Machines by Pierce the Veil
From Under the Cork Tree by Fall Out Boy
Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Halloween Mixtape 2 by Magnolia Park
Good to Feel by Candy
I’m chasing more albums with that blown out ass hardcore sound. Violence Violence by Ceremony is a classic and I’m trying to find more albums like that.

Frightened Rabbit: Painting of a panic attack. I gave it a few listens without really getting it when it came out but after Scott’s death I put all their stuff to one side but Get Out came on a playlist the other week and I’ve been doing a deep dive since and I think it might be my favourite album of theirs.
Waxahatchee - tigers blood.
It’s gonna take something special to beat that as my album of 2024……still a long way to go so quite excited about what’s coming in the rest of the year
RIP Sophie
A track with Vince and SOPHIE and Flume and Kendrick is absolutely insane. It’s actually crazy that it exists.
Fr it’s one of the most outlandish collabs in modern hip hop, it’s amazing lol
One of my favorite Kendrick verses of all time
It's an extremely underrated Kendrick verse and I wish it got more love. I wish we got to hear Kendrick over more SOPHIE beats.
The way his flow starts to mesh perfectly with the beats as the verse goes on… a whole album between the two of them would have been absolutely insane
The way he starts off just alright and just goes the fuck in when the beat hits, one of the best hip hop bait-and-switches in recent memory
blond... Sorry if that's a boring answer, I just really like it. Frank Ocean has this way of talking about heartache that is very sad but also somehow empowering
This will never be a wrong answer
It’s so goddamn good

This album does get a mf to start shaking his head to stop the tears
right now, only god was above us is in constant repeat.
I am just obsessed with it too. It’s so good.
that and the new hot mulligan album on repeat for me. Also been revisiting U.S. Girls’ ‘In a Poem Unlimited’ such a classic
Blood on the tracks- bob dylan And In the Darkness, Hearts Aglow- weyes blood relistened to both about a month ago for the first time in around a year for them both and remembered why they're two of my all time favs
I haven’t listened to *AITDHA* - recommend? I love *Titanic Rising* though: it’s one of my favourite albums of all time.
It's a very good album but titanic rising is still a step or two above for me.
I would recommend it absolutely if you like titanic rising, you might not like it quite as much but you should still really enjoy it. For me personally, they're about on par with each other but I know that's not a super popular take, and Children of the Empire is one of my favourite tracks ever
Such a great album

It's a phenomenal album, one that I appreciate far more than Process. I remember being obsessed with it when it came out, just putting it on and enjoying my lunch break walks. It did such a good job at setting the mood.
Most beautiful album ive ever listened to
Hell yeah, one of my favourite albums of all time simply due to how much it resonated with me
Truly wonderful album.
Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd I'm brand new to Lana, and this has me so excited for NFR and other projects. Like I'm trying to savor it lol

Hell yeah! Saw them perform this album at Outside Lands last year for the first time and I was entranced. Those guitars are soooo cool!
This and OLTA are always in the rotation for me
In Rainbows - Radiohead I’m almost sick of how obsessed I am with this album, it’s always playing in my head. The rhythms, the melodies, they haunt me, they turn me into a phantom.
Eeeeeehhhhhh ahhhhh
I downloaded whole album in "From the Basement" version and I listen to it on spotify via local files, it’s even better
Abbey Road. Wasnt a big fan of the beatles until I listend to sgt peppers 2 weeks ago and now Im really enjoying them haha

getting into adrienne lanker/big thief, her new album bright future is gorgeous
Blue album and the Bends lmao
id argue that the bends is radioheads most underrated record tbh
It’s soooooo good holy shit, I held off on actually listening to Radiohead for so long and the bends had become a staple to my everyday rotation
100% agree and ill add that the view a lot of people have on radiohead makes that record overlooked by default since a lot of the community seems to prefer their most "complex" records even though the bends is completely fine even if not as layered as ok computer or kid a
