I would assume they would cancel the bonus/award action. This will auto kick out a debt letter from DFAS. The debt letter will detail the debt and let you know of your repayment options. So up to you if you'd rather do lump sum, biweekly, etc.

Plan for it to be the gross, not the net. You'll get the rest come tax time, but it still sucks.
