Sounds like a pig butchering scam

Inevitable-Bench3777

I don't think so. I'm 99% sure it would not have been a chat with the person in the pic. See link in OP

A scam, similar to the one in the link, happened to me but it was a tiny bit more elaborate. It was horrible. But i did not pay up and blocked the person at some point. Not before i threatened them with retaliation though.

Inevitable-Bench3777

What did that entail? Forewarned in fore-armed

I've had 2 calls with genuine Asians ladies on WhatsApp. They call to confirm. They are real. Butnthey are clearly in some type of call centre and then running a scam no interest in getting to know you. On continued texting. Just talk about them maybe coming over to uk. Not enough funds for tickets, or you buying them some nice clothes etc.

Zealousideal_Spot178

I can confirm this, I've had calls with women from Indonesia pretending to be in the US by location spoofing but as soon as I see their background on video call I already can put two and two together.

This dogshit app needs a verification system.

LiquidDreamtime

It’s better than any other dating app out there in my experience. I’m sure it could improve, but it’s far better than others.

BeenEliminated

It’s not even a dating app it’s literally an app to meet someone and fuck

LiquidDreamtime

Thats weird because I’ve been successfully using it to meet couples to date for nearly 10 yrs.

MrGoblinoid

Yes. And notnally they use AI deep fake face generators during video call. It happens a lot with me. These fake women.

I like to waste the scammers time by dragging it out and asking if they want to go out, that usually when they pull out the give me your phone number or Telegram account. When you tell them no multiple times they sometimes try to insult you before unmatching.

Facebook is getting bad, too. I had someone ask me to Cash app her $1500 a couple days ago. The only woman who has contacted me on Feeld seems like a scam too. I compared a Facebook search and called her or on it. She said she was hacked. When their grammar isn't great and the photos aren't normal, I get sus.

Another sort of scam that is on the rise now is newlyweds girl or couple on or about to go on a honeymoon to where you are and she complains about her "husband" being too small or uninterested in her, needing a bull or an experienced man to teach her etc. one "girl" claiming to be from London spoke dodgy sort of broken English and the details she gave were ridiculous, she was 18 and her husband 19, having has sex only once with her husband, at the same time showing keen interest in the stuff even experienced subs would never mention to a stranger etc. they prefer to move to Telegram (both cases) and their accounts are empty. Remember, if your profile has a few pictures and a reasonably detailed description, then use chat only to set the first meeting in a public place, everything else should be discussed in person.
