Meet Chris, Our protagonist. He recently changed schools after being ostracized for being himself.
An Eldritch entity that lives in humanities collective subconscious Took interest in his Nonconformity and him psychic powers based on Emotion Batteries.
He is telepathically aware of how other people collectively perceive him and can charge objects he can touch (typically his clothes) with those thoughts, assumptions and emotions.
When he touches/punches/kicks others he can release that emotional charge for added effect.
By altering his hero-outfit he can cultivate a different identity, resulting in different emotional charge and thus a slightly different superpower-expression with each different outfit.
His limited telepathy can be leveraged as a minor danger-sense as well as making Chris an effective combat-therapist: "Don't judge me for that kick, fiend. You were the one that charged my thigh highs with your sexual insecurity"
A nosy TERF from the schools newspaper caught our protagonist after PE class and found out he shaves his legs. He is secretly a villain that was granted the powers of projection and deflection by the same Eldritch entity. Now he is dead set on revealing our protagonists secret identity to the world.
By the finale of season 1 Chris is forced to come out of the closet in order to protect the innocent.
>By the finale of season 1 Chris is forced to come out of the closet in order to protect the innocent.
In the beginning he pretends to be a girl and wears a mask in his superhero identity. He wears feminine outfits that cover a lot to keep the illusion that this superhero is a girl. As his normal self, he wears neutral clothes to blend in with the crowd.
Slowly, he begins to become more comfortable with showing that he is a feminine boy. His superhero self wear more revealing clothes (not as in more sexy, but less hiding his bod) and does less effort to hide that he is a boy. As his normal self he begins to be more feminine (wearing nail polish, light makeup maybe, more feminine clothes).
In the season finale, everyone knows the superhero is a feminine boy, they just don't know it's Chris yet. That's the only thing he is still hiding. The thing happens that forces him to show the world who he truly is. He says "no matter the man, we all wear masks ... Either on our faces, or over our hearts (Godot). But not me, not anymore. The mask goes off. The one on my face, as well as the one over my heart". And with that he grabs his mask and throws it on the ground, the mask breaking in two.
Earlier in the show, someone asks him "why are you wearing a mask?" and he answers with "No matter the man, we all wear masks ... Either on our faces, or over our hearts." It would be a fun setup to the line from the finale, foreshadowing to the fact that he is a guy (no matter the man) and a nice Ace Attorney reference
Absolutely. I can't see any world where that would be a problem SO LONG AS it's an original character, not an established one changed arbitrarily. Nothing worse than that.
It's a thing! Google "magical girl ore", "the story of high school boys who became magical girls" and "gonna be the Twin-Tail"
/Jesus Christ, me knowing more genderbender anime than I care to admit should have been an obvious hint for me to realize my genderfluidity
My brain just went to like a femboy sailor moon . Like femboy magic girl transformation sequences . Sadly if it were real they would DEFINITLY be sexualised.
I think elemental magic strengthened/based on the outfit he's wearing. Some video games have mechanics like this (Legend Of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for example) so I think it could work. It would be cool by itself, not 100% defined by being a femboy, but still has something to do with being feminine
same energy, slightly different concept from almost 20 years ago.
started working on a superhero story involving The Transgender Avenger... but the writing group I was in kinda imploded and I never got to go anywhere with the idea.
TTA was a biological male that while wearing female/feminine clothing gained the strength and speed and toughness of Two Men. later in the story he (they?) needed to go undercover into The Villains Den so he/they dawned the apparel of their mirror universe persona of...
The Pink Triangle (all black outfit with a pink triangle on his chest) who has the same powers... supposedly.
Hi-jinx ensues.
TA/PT was Not the main character, he was the room mate to the main character, but you get the idea. TA/PT was not necessarily Trans, but was using his/their powers to assist in Trans-rights and visibility, and positive neighborhood outreach.
anyway. I shelved that story over 20 years ago. might get back to it at a later date
I came up with a design a while back

We need this. Something kind of subtle though, not like a superhero in a maid outfit. I actually have a really cool/cute mix outfit in my head but it's hard to describe.
It'll eventually happen. The problem is that it may just take a long time. They only recently started adding LGBT characters to comics and they'res already pushback against it. Gender non-conformity is an even smaller group so can you even imagine if they came out with a male superhero that wears a skirt?
Personally I'd like to see a femboy superhero where the fact that he is a femboy isn't made a big deal. Like, he has completely normal powers and completely normal backstory. No cute tie-in that somehow relates to being femboy. He's just there and no one really comments on it (i.e. its treated totally as normal).
Either would work. Id rather it be that a male superhero happens to be effeminate but anyone could easily loop them in with gay stereotypes and its just not that simple.
I'm thinking at the beginning he can't really be himself in his normal life, but when he gets superpowers he takes that chance to make a superheroine persona, and his continuing adventures gives him the confidence in his regular life to present in a more femme/androgynous manner
Hell yeah
You know that trope where a superhero always has one non-powered friend that somehow found out their secret identity?
It would be super funny if he is somehow caught while swapping into his superheroine costume and both pull that "wait!wait!wait! I can explain!"
He explains how he has actually been a superhero all along while the other is still preoccupied with the fact that his friend dresses up as a girl.
Both take an awkward second to realize what the other is talking about.
Also I really wanna see a training montage which has him teaching a girl how to walk in heels because she needs to borrow a superhero outfit for some reason and there is no time to change the design, but she has never walked in heels before.
I think it would be cool if both his superhero outfit and his regular clothes are somewhat feminine and have a skirt worked into them, and it’s something that no one remarks on. Would be good to normalise it.
Yeah, like putting a hat on for me is an impossible task. Couldnt imagine a full mask. Hair would be all in my face, eyes and everything else it could fit in
Hell yeah. I'm also currently in the planning stage of making a superheroine costume.
The character i'm going for is Antares from the Webnovel Ward by wildbow. I'm beginning to put some femboy inspiration in there. Armoured thigh highs, oversized hoodie, a skirt.
This kinda exists already! It's called SheZow! An Australian/Canadian cartoon about a guy who finds a ring in which gives him powers but also feminine attire. Funny show from my childhood, def recommend.
THIS is what we need a Femboy representative superhero somebody pls start writing a script and draw some concepts

Damn that’s just great sounds awsome
LOVING THIS IDEA. SOMEONE TWEET HBO

>"Don't judge me for that kick, fiend. You were the one that charged my thigh highs with your sexual insecurity" r/brandnewsentence
Omg that great! : D
The thigh highs comment is such a 🔥
chris is such a basic name
Honestly, that's kind of the point. Superheroes don't really need flashy civilian names. Go ahead and give him a good Cape- name if you wish.
as an actual RL chris, I find that comment slightly offensive, and unfortunately quite accurate :/
Nah nah i meant for a freaking superhero Have you ever seen a superhero named something dave??
Absolutely. I can't see any world where that would be a problem SO LONG AS it's an original character, not an established one changed arbitrarily. Nothing worse than that.
As much as I would love to see a femboy in a marvel film, you happen to be correct
I mean thor is kind of a fem man
He is called god of lesbians for a reason
Ok here me out magical girl's but there just femboys.
It's a thing! Google "magical girl ore", "the story of high school boys who became magical girls" and "gonna be the Twin-Tail" /Jesus Christ, me knowing more genderbender anime than I care to admit should have been an obvious hint for me to realize my genderfluidity
Ghasp how have I never heard of these.
also "kore-wa Zombie Desuka?"
Cute High Earth Defense Club Love
Cute High Earth Defense Club Love
Robin
But it should be original
YES!!!!
Robin is kinda an effeminate looking guy isnt he
I mean. This is really nice. https://youtu.be/bjnQFkz50oU
im sleep deprived too and i agree
Me three! I’m about to crash any second… I should get off Reddit. X3
Even though this is not really the same thing, this did remind me of [SheZow](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SheZow)
Literally what first came to mind
Never heard of it! But now that ive seen it i love it!
YESSSS
My brain just went to like a femboy sailor moon . Like femboy magic girl transformation sequences . Sadly if it were real they would DEFINITLY be sexualised.
Rule 34 does not discriminate
Cute High Earth Defense Club Love
Does John Kent count as fem?
Uhhh you guys ever heard of robin?
Robin, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a skirt
Let's workshop this. Names? Secret identity? Powers?
[удалено]
I think super strength is a must. Built like Tom Holland(❤) but able to punch a hole through a concrete wall.
His secret identity should be a really masc sounding name Chad Lucas Perfect
Lol. Chad is in a fraternity and his dad is a lawyer. 😍
Yeah. He should have pink laser eyes. That’s the best power I can think of for him
Maybe he kinda does a Sailor Moon or Lynda Carter/Wonder Woman to suit up?
I think elemental magic strengthened/based on the outfit he's wearing. Some video games have mechanics like this (Legend Of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for example) so I think it could work. As someone who loves comics I thought that would be a really fun idea for a while.

Hmmm... there are some vague ideas that crossed my mind but I'm afraid that all of them will be too easy to co-opt and call trans.
Honestly Peter Parker seems like he dresses fem in private.

I like it!
The first thing that came to mind was SHEZOW ngl
Shezow
Umm Deadpool? Did you see those heels?
Shezow. It already exists
have you heard of shezow
I NEED THE ”MAGICAL FEMBOY GENRE” IN MY LIFE!
Magic boys with a transformation scene and all
"It's a thing! Google "magical girl ore", "the story of high school boys who became magical girls" and "gonna be the Twin-Tail" /Jesus Christ, me knowing more genderbender anime than I care to admit should have been an obvious hint for me to realize my genderfluidity"-u/ceruleanchimera

I have no idea if this qualifies, but that sounds like Shezow?
Wow popular show. Several people have said that same thing. I haven't heard of it until today
and here is a fun fact, it's a thing and it called "Magical How"
Cute High Earth Defense Club Love
There's an anime that did that- Gatchaman Crowds.
We need this. Something kind of subtle though, not like a superhero in a maid outfit. I actually have a really cool/cute mix outfit in my head but it's hard to describe.
yes, but it should be made in a way where it's not added just to seam inclusive.

That would be the peak of femboy superhero

joe mama
Eight months later im hit with joe mama. Made my whole ass day lmao
yes I don't even remember replying to this or why I replied this
Just sounds like a normal superhero but a femboy. Are you actually going to put a decent plot to it?
That, is an excellent question
This comment section has already made the plot
Yes
Tom Holland exists. I'd like to see some sort of mission impossible or 007 type one
1000000 percent yes!
I'm thinking at the beginning he can't really be himself in his normal life, but when he gets superpowers he takes that chance to make a superheroine persona, and his continuing adventures gives him the confidence in his regular life to present in a more femme/androgynous manner

What type of hair do you have that makes it hard?
Fuckin long ass curly hair
Oop
Yeah, just look at my profile. I wonder how miles morales fits his hair in that spiderman mask
He probably does it very carefully and its probably uncomfortable
Yeah, like putting a hat on for me is an impossible task. Couldnt imagine a full mask. Hair would be all in my face, eyes and everything else it could fit in

Superfemmeboy. Destroys evil gender norms with his cute UwU powers
