Have you thought about using those works to show progress towards your important as a filmmaker? I think that might actually help your case in many ways.
Yeah this is what my friends told me… but these ten films are SO bad 😂 and they all feature me as an actor because back then I couldn’t find anyone else so I acted, directed, shot, produced etc etc. I’ve definitely progressed but seeing these old films makes me feel embarrassed to an extent, even though I know it was just me starting out.
We’ve all made some shit before. I look back at all my failed/tragic films with some nostalgia now. I’ve come to terms with them and honestly enjoy them for what they are/did for my growth.

All the more reason to use it as progress, you had to do production on your own, not an easy feat.
