Fine cheeses are THE BEST for some people. It's all they want. Blue cheese? What cave in France was it aged in? Aged Manchago(someone right below mentioned this)? Did the sheep come from Spain, or where they imported? ...I can go on.
But for most people, fine cheeses are enjoyed on occasion with great trepidation and confusion. This cheese actually tastes like battery acid. Why is this cheese 'grainy' for some strange and unliked reason? I just prefer Kraft Singles on my bologna and mayo sandwich.
I teach middle school. Here is a short list of things I would groom kids to do if I was able to:
1. Wear deodorant.
2. Use social media in a more healthy way
3. Stop handing me teeth when they fall out
4. Read a book just to read a book
5. Have some kind of intrinsic curiosity about literally anything.
In hindsight, you probably shouldn't be saying that, considering it confirms alot of the fears people have about some clearly insane teachers brainwashing children who still don't know any better.
I feel like there’s some context missing here.
But from what I gathered it seems like these Kids didn’t show up to school, lunch or an activity cause it had Pride themes going on.
Which all by means is ridiculous behaviour since Pride isn’t even religious or a religion.
What seems is some schools in Canada are trying to make pride events mandatory for children.

"Ridiculous behavior" is very ironic, considering in that same clip a teacher is berating a muslim kid and telling him that he's not welcome in Canada for not attending some school event.
I don’t know if you remember what school was like, but you don’t exactly have freedom of speech/expression beyond what the superintendent allows(or whatever is the head of a school district in Canada). The kids were in trouble for skipping lunch, they’re not allowed to skip lunch for any reason without parental intervention (at least that’s what it was like for me). I don’t see a difference in getting in trouble for skipping the “Don’t smoke hip hop group” and the “it’s okay to be gay” event. Yeah she didn’t have to bring up their religion but she was attempting to elicit empathy by relating things to the student specifically, she didn’t do it perfectly but it’s fucking hard to be a teacher I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. If there’s more context to this (like suspending the kid(s) or other punishments) let me know, but if the full extent of punishment was this conversation and a detention then I don’t think this is worth the uproar you think it is.
I never said it was worth any uproar, this clip relates to my previous point about some teachers pushing their luck with this stuff. It's still some bullshit that you're choosing to sweep this under the rug, like these 12 or whatever year old kids should be held more responsible than the adult yelling at them about not belonging in Canada for not showing up for some lgbtq event (which doesn't necessarily mean they want to strip people of their rights), but I should have posted the clip of the teacher laughing about taking the american flag down and replacing it with an lgbtq flag.
