Thanks for the quick reply. I had to push on the rings to remove the bottom hoses and they popped right out. But on this one there is no movement when pushing on it. Considering taking vice grips to the line but I don’t want to damage it.
may be some buildup of hard water deposits or sediment in that one. I'd just keep pressing that ring down over and over and just slowly work it, trying not to damage it.
Thank you for the help. I needed to use both hands to push it down and have a friend pull it out. Finally got it. Of course I forgot to turn the water off so it gushed water like crazy until I found the shutoff. Thanks again!
Funny that this happened today. the water line to our fridge magically sprung a leak last night. found the pinhole leak in the tubing this morning and a small sharkbite fitting made quick work of it. Best of fortune with your project 🙂
Looks like there may be a horseshoe shaped divider under the blue ring. Try spinning that around, may be a handle on the other side. Remove the placeholder and ring should depress.
If you need an example, look at bowden tube removal on YouTube same process and there are a ton of examples.

Push down on the baby blue ring while pulling the hose
Appreciate you! This is what I was doing but I apparently wasn’t pulling hard enough.
I'm guessing it's similar to a sharkbite fitting. try pressing the blue ring in, while pulling the hose out.

Shove down on the line as you compress then should come out

Push in the ring and try twisting the pipe at the same time it might be glued in.
