I just looked at the last ten posts in this sub-reddit where xplane was shown. Exactly two posts, including this one, had puddles. The others didn't.
To claim every xp screenshot includes puddles is just wrong
X-Plane has to have at least something special to show off in the screenshots. It is a fine looking sim regardless but I guess people really love puddles.
Sceneries that aren’t comparable with 12 may cause the puddles and stuff iirc. The raining all the time and wetness have been fixed for a couple betas now.
What’s wrong in X-plane world that every screenshot on the ground has puddles of water? Do they never dry up?

I love xplane, but this is so true
I guess people association puddles with good graphics and want to show off them. In my 100 hours of playtime I have never had rain puddles on apron
