I name my character after the build I'm playing. Sharpshooter would be an Alias like Bullseye or something similiar, a legion build in NV would be some Ancient Roman style name like Augustus. That kind of thing.

I'm not trans but I am genderfluid and this never really crossed my mind, but I kept using different names for my character (always playing as a female) and chose some from Codsworth's list that sounded cool and then thought that I actually really liked the name "Nova" so now I call my female side Nova as well as using that name in some other games now

I like to use historic or literary names in general, though some may be based on mythology or even cartoons/anime. It all depends on my mood at the time. Some examples include: * Wilhelmina Murray (Dracula - though used diminutive "Mina" in the book) * Bellona Torres (both greek -Bellona is goddess of battle/war/to fight, and Torres from ST:VOY) * James Hook (Peter and Wendy) * Odysseus (Iliad) * Phantom Harlock (Space Pirate Captain Harlock) Though the best female would have to be (IMO) "Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca III" aka Dot from WB Animatics from the early 1990s.

I'm doing a Grognak-Axe wielding Mad Max fuckin psychopath build right now. I've spent thousands of caps on Psycho, which I am most definitely addicted to. My only weapon is the Grognak Axe and I can only pick up/equip Raider gear. My character's name is Eugene.

I’ve personally never re-used a name. I’m big into RP’ing, so I like every character to feel unique in my head.

There were a bunch of dialogue choices in the first two Dragon Age games where your character would say “I am $name” or NPCs would say “Are you $name?” or similar. I got used to using Magnificent for my name and it stuck a bit.

I enjoy giving them really uncool old American names lol. The ones I remember are named Esther, Margaret and Harold lol.

I play the female SS so my favorites are: Grace, Anne, Alexis, Alexandra, and my current SS is Allison. Mostly the Codsworth recognized names.

My top names are Ace (my nickname) Ice (my brothers nickname) Jack (just always thought it was a cool name and reminds me of Raiden from Metal gear) or just my own name Austin. I’ll randomly come up with other names from time to time. I always tend to have a lot more creativity with names in fantasy games like skyrim as opposed to Fallout. Im gonna use the name Hunter on my next fallout playthrough inspired by the bad batch character and try to have a mod where i can create followers modeled off each member

Been using Lara or Camilla a lot lately - I use the "Young Lara Croft" face preset mod (which is amazing), and Camilla is the first name of the model/actress that was used for the first Lara Croft (if I got my info right). I'm currently using Emily, though I don't recall why. I may have just watched that Live, Die, Repeat movie with Emily Blunt before starting current playthrough.

Every character has their own name. I only repeat names when I try doing a "myself"/self-insert" build; and even then I also use varitations of my name, or names that are just similar.
