Camp building Plan collecting Fighting the camp build interface Find-newb-to-dump-weight-on Complaining about the grind Still grinding

Phantom_61

Wait for next story expansion

Dr_Drewcifer

same as warframes endgame basically. fashion and having the latest content

Phantom_61

Seems to be the standard for every MMO.

Dr_Drewcifer

every one with decent evolution

MEDIC_HELP_ME

Launch nuke on base

KILL__MAIM__BURN

> launch nuke on ~~base~~ clustered player camps FTFY

Saintblack

Can't you just log out if that were to happen to your camp?

KILL__MAIM__BURN

If you were paying attention :)

tao63

Launch nuke on my own base because I'm bored af

gothaggis

i am taking this game is designed for controllers? I find the build interface almost impossible to use with mouse/kb

Panek_Enflei

It's definitely one of the weak points for this game. The ui feels like it was designed by programmers, in that it's technically functional, but not pleasant. With practice, it does get a bit easier to use. Remember that the v button toggles flying camera when in the build menu.

RektalTrauma

I was today years old when I learned this

iJubJubi

Is this possible on console? To do the flying camera?

CDubWill

Yes, it is, but I forget which button toggles it on console. When you’re in the build mode, you should see the input on the UI.

Cassy_4320

Press the Button that switch between first person viel and 3 person view

1MrE

Used to be ‘select’ not sure what it’s called now.

Boba65

It’s not bad, try the build interface in No Man’s Sky.

ThaJay

Try building in Arma mods

uBelow

Theres hidden controls everywhere, i.e hold shift + use wasd in the build mode to flip through things much quicker, works aight.

voodoogroves

Hahaha

Kardrath

Nah, it's terrible on controllers as well.

0neThirtyEight

Also collecting animated perk cards

CoraBittering

I'm humming this list to the tune of "We Didn't Start The Fire."

fatdad3344

I've seen this answer a couple of times already. Is this a sarcastic answer or is there really no point to this game?

voodoogroves

I think the real answer is there are several answers - if you like / liked building in fo4 - you can do that here but share and show - if you are a completer of games there are tons of things to check off - there is also plenty of content. The bosses repeat and you can spend lots of times working on gear for that

CDubWill

This is the way!

Nokami93

It has by no means an endgame even remotely comparable to other 'mmorpgs' if your question is coming from that direction.

Venom_is_an_ace

Don't forget about rolling Legendary effects in attempt to get "god" rolls For armor, I have just come to accept that as long as I have weapon weight reduction on the armor, everything else is a fun hodge-podge of interesting effects that will come into beneficial player later in.

toddhowardtheman

There are 3 endgame (drop a nuke) activities but those ultimately are not what players spend all their time repeating. Ultimately the goal for many is to get a set of armor and weapons with the perfect legendary rolls they want. Or trying to collect all rare plans to build stuff or rare outfits. These grinds can keep you busy for an unfathomable amount of time. So besides that it is just to pick your fun along the way. The game is quite casual and not difficult compared to games like Destiny, so the "endgames" are frankly not really comparable.

Panek_Enflei

honestly, the end game is pretty much the same as any other Bethesda game; finish any random quests you've missed, perfect your build, collect rare items, try stupid builds.

Can_of_Tuna

I find there’s so much to get distracted by. I just hit level 465 and finished the mistress of mystery side quest today. Still need to finish the brotherhood of steel and actually try out the expeditions

LostLobes

I'm now 126 still not done an exhibition, tried to work out how to start one the other day, turns out I gotta do 3 daily task missions, with so many missions ongoing, that's now at the bottom of the pile.

Panek_Enflei

You only have to do those 3 daily missions once, after that you can freely start expeditions at any time. I'd say that the Atlantic City expeditions are better to start out on, they're much more strait forward, and tend to give better rewards. Those 3 all usually take less than 20 minutes to complete.

LostLobes

Ah, so it's not 3 missions per expedition then? That's moor palatable.

Panek_Enflei

yup. I believe when they first launched them you had to do those missions every time, but they quickly changed that in a later patch

LostLobes

That's great to know, I'll get on that after I finish the Brotherhood quest line then. Cheers

Cageymangr0

BoS missions are fire

givetake

Fashion, just like every other game

Quasit1964

**To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.**

T-51bender

To crush the Scorchbeast Queen, steal Nuka-Colas from CAMPs before you, and hear the lamentations of their Commander Daguerres.

Jigoinane

This is what's best in life.

herecomethesnakes

Hey now , let’s take it down a notch or two my friend! Relax , and take some deep breaths! I understand that you’re upset, what with the apocalypse and everything, the death of all our friends and family and the destruction of everything we were taught was important in life ! But that’s really no excuse for turning into some kind of Genghis Khan type of genocidal , rapist , badly dressed , killing machine just for Reddit upvotes!

Santorus

just like grognack says

OkBodybuilder8259

I just do the season challenges, build different camps, craft legendaries. Right now I am trying to roll for a nice Cremator. I also craft underamor for new players, and run daily ops.

QueenCobraFTW

I absolutely freaking love Cremators! I have a Vampire napalm and an Anti-armor multi-shot. Also have maxed out Fireproof and Friendly Fire, as I am not a fan of killing myself. I use the Cremator in open spaces and Holy Fire inside. Never used a heavy build before, having so much fun. I took out 10 Blood Eagles in 7 shots at Rollins labor camp for the daily this morning.

No_Doubt_About_That

Finding a plan for the vintage water cooler.

ButterArkinDog

Mine is to find the decontamination arch

Kevo_xx

You got to farm the Scorchbeast Queen, that’s the only thing that drops the Decon shower plan. Or just have another player craft one for you at your camp.

CoraBittering

Oh my God! It does?? That's it, I'm hitting every SB Queen from now on. Thank you!

Kevo_xx

Well it drops from completion of the Scorched Earth event to be more specific. So just join that every time you see it pop up and you’ll get it.

Azalus1

It was the first thing that dropped when I did my first scorched earth completion. Now I've spent the whole time trying to get enough stable flux to actually build it.

TacticoolBro

I just got it at level 60 :)

NeckRoFeltYa

Hear, there's a guy giving them out like candy in another thread 🤣

No_Doubt_About_That

Link? Probably different platform to me. Not desperate for it because my current camp’s near water but would certainly come in handy eh

NeckRoFeltYa

Guy was saying he gives them out as rewards. I didn't comment so I'm not sure when it was posted but the title was something like "what have you done recently to help a low level player?".

afi931

You on PS?

No_Doubt_About_That

No - I’m on PC unfortunately

totoposter

I have 200 hours in-game and I'm still not done with all the unrepeatable content. Even when you are done with everything else though, the gameplay loop probably becomes doing your daily/weekly quests, doing the events every 20 minutes, and triggering boss fights sometimes when you don't like the current event. The "raids" are in the form of a bunch of bosses that players can spawn, you'll recognize them as events that show up in the "boss" category that didn't spawn on the 20 minute timer but due to a player doing something (typically nuking an area). You're never truly fully done with the game because they add more. From what I've heard, the next update includes a map expansion that has new quests and a new event and might even have a new major boss (the official communication mentions nuking the new map section, which sure sounds like a hint of a boss spawn). There will be a new season pass as well, which always comes with a variety of new items like a new weapon to try, new camp items to add to your builds, ect. The limited time events tend to get brand new items added when they cycle back in, so you usually have a good reason to return to them.

tiny0wlet

It definitely has a new nuke boss.

mattredditfornow

Different for everyone. My only goal since I hit level 1000+ has been to get a complete set of unyielding weapon weight reduction secret service armor. Hit 1500 the other day and I’m 3/5 way done with my goal.

FinnderSkeepers

My end game is camp building. The original Todd line before an earlier update (Wastelanders) was something like, “in 76, you are the NPC!” I’ve taken that to heart. Building quest camps and mazes etc is really fun, especially with all the new players

MrSmileyZ

The end game is to have fun. Find something that brings you the most joy and do that. Others have mentioned some options, probably what brings THEM joy, you just have to find an activity that suits you.

ThatOneGuysHomegrow

I had one play through where I would wander off doing all sorts of different stuff, and I got lost with the quests. I had no idea what was going on story-wise because they have so many different quests all tied into each other. So I started over. Started by following the original main quest and doing the side quests related to the area. I used Fandom so I could avoid starting later quest lines on accident (because they have the DLC quest lines available right out of the vault). Started listening to all the dialogue. (I also found a level 1000 immediately after leaving the vault and grinded to level 75 (only legendary equipped was the master lockpick and hacker). Now all the enemies are higher levels, all the quest drops are maxed, and if you only pick one perk card per level after 75, the game will still only give you level 1 perk cards, so you get a much more survival feel by constantly using up all your stimpacks, meds, and ammo. Since each major DLC has a Questline of some type, I figure by the time I finish the main quest, and all the DLC/Expeditions, the new map expansion will be out with a new quest line and hopefully faction.

Large_Mountain_Jew

To make an ever more perfect post-apocalyptic Barbie Dream House™.

JinNegima

The end game is what you make of it, you can finish all quests rather quickly if you rush them and leave yourself burnt out I'm almost level 500 and have yet to finish all of the quests, I haven't even unlocked vault 79 but I've been playing non-stop since midway season 12

Vidistis

As always, fashion and housing.

Brief-Leader-4015

Scrapping junk is all there is and all im here for ,ons day I will own all the junk

Trancetastic16

Fallout 76’s endgame has always been light on content, but Bethesda have tried adding stuff over the years. - Rolling for best legendary stats for gear - Launching a nuke and fighting Scorchbeast Queen/Earle Williams/Ultracite Titan - Daily Ops - Expeditions - Maxing out your build, including all Legendary perks of your choosing - Unlocking all plans/rewards that interest you. - And using the CAMP rewards to customise it how you please. - Grinding the Seasons until the bonus page - Waiting for new content - Repeat

AnotherDay96

Seriously end game ge is finally when you have everything you want and I'm still not close. My base gets a little work each day. My build, weapons, armor etc. As for events. Nuke area's, gear up and go after the big game. There are Expeditions and Operations, but all these you will do before you are ever finished with your build and base, you will rerun these things.

MMORPG_dude

There is no endgame trust me , there no long term loop to keep most player active so enjoy the game while you can before you get tired of it and move on And trust me I have over 2000hours went from playing daily after wastelander - brotherhood to once or twice a year when new story content drops Bethesda only focus is cosmetics sales and occasionally they will drop content like expedition which get tiresome quickly

Sleepmahn

Nope not in the true sense. When you get a powerful build and half decent gear you're basically either killing everything in fractions of a second unless it's a boss or basically an invincible tank. There is nothing that's a challenge so you're going to get alot of "make it your own" suggestions and camp building suggestions. Unfortunately 76 mostly caters to newcomers and you pretty much have to make your own goals or love live service grinds.

NeonBuckaroo

It kinda makes sense when you get there. I remember posting here asking what the point was a few times and now I’m there I just… get it, I suppose. Generally I’d say this: The new seasons and stuff you can gather I would say is the reason you keep playing - racking up the SCORE points and in the most recent addition, collecting tickets. Accumulating scrip and gathering weapons to try and roll the perfect legendary combos. Accumulating gold bullion to buy plans for new gear. Rinse and repeat.

jestersalive

I like turtles.

paladinchiro

I wish this game had raids or high level dungeon content but really there's no true "point" of having the most optimized weapons and armor because even the hardest content in the game is mostly manageable with halfway decent gear and much of the 4 player content can be soloable, just less efficient to do so. The thing that brings me back to this game is completing the seasonal scoreboard (battle pass or whatever, I guess it's no longer called a scoreboard) and unlocking all the cosmetic and CAMP building items. So I mainly just log in daily for 30 min or so to complete the daily and weekly SCORE activities until I've gotten what I want from the Season, then don't really log on again until the new Season starts (which can be weeks or even months). I'm mostly playing other games in the meantime so in that sense Fallout 76 is great cause it doesn't take a whole lot of time to work on the Season board and gives me time to work on my backlog of other games. At "end game" there truly isn't a whole lot to do other than what you've been doing all along while leveling and completing quests, so I kinda don't get why people keep playing this so much to be like level 2000+ but whatever floats your boat. I do probably end up playing this game more than any 1 other game cause I keep coming back to it for the Season stuff, but yeah there's not a whole lot to do to progress into "end game", which can be nice if you have a ton of other games you do want to play. So it respects your time in that sense I guess.

SonorousProphet

The map expansion may offer more challenge. There's a lot of normal enemies like mongrels, insects, cultists. There are also at least two new enemy types, one eats bullets and the other deals a lot of damage. Might be that the challenge will be mostly for low health builds and I only played for an hour or so.

JustSomeDude__d

“End game” is essentially what you make it. If you complete main line quests and come to a conclusion you’re happy with, congrats you’re done! If you wanna keep playing and build towards top tier gear/collecting things that’s available too. Personally I’m just playing because I enjoy fallout so much it’s fun to explore and fight/kill random monsters. So I stay on to do fun little things and then there’s the pull of, “now how can I kill this boss FASTER” then that leads to trying to min/max gear which means grinding and completing other things. Becomes a circle, a grindy circle, but enjoyable if you like that.

Gindotto

C.A.M.P and Shelter creation. If you are 300+ and done have a maxed out C.A.M.P. with at least one maxed out shelter you’re doing it wrong. But honestly you should have 2-3 shelters. Then if you think you’re ready, jump into Hardmode Raiding, having it all themed cohesively. Also if your lighting sucks you’re clearly paying to get boosted.

BrotherhoodofDeal

Discovering all the lore and holotapes

Im_Chris2

76’s endgame is really a testament on how patient you are with RNG. A lot of us collect Godroll Weapons, Event plans, Rare Cosmetics, most of these are in the realm of >5% drop rate so they are super gratifying to get. Modules are time gated, so we log in daily to turn in scrip, accumulate modules, roll legendaries rinse and repeat.

dwarfzulu

Fo76... Fo76 never ends...

Hopalongtom

Like all online games, cosmetic collecting.

Dr_Drewcifer

same as warframes endgame.

InformalJacket260

Currently grinding still for my last unyielding secret service armor piece. I WILL GET THAT FOOT YA *Jackass*

Anomalous-Materials8

It starts with a disappointing 20 mins of going from camp to camp on multiple servers looking for plans to buy, but only finding the same common junk in every vendor. It ends with quitting after becoming bored with the game, so you decide to try a completely different build with a different gun. After spending every single legendary core/module to create a bag full of weapons that don’t have the prefixes you wanted and realizing it would take you months of events to be able to make they many again, you go find something else to play. Then you watch the tv show, get interested in fallout again, play for a few days, then remember…

IronMonopoly

Scaring the shit out of new players while trying to help.

DaRandomStoner

They made an attempt once to create vault raids, but those devolved into daily op locations... after that, there was never any effort put into creating challenging end-game content. Instead, they have focused on creating endless habit forming grinds and fomo generating content... stuff that creates and monetizes player addiction.

N00BAL0T

Grinding levels, grinding legendaries, grinding daily quests and grinding plans. It's an MMO so it's all about grinding baby.

MattttChris

I used to play destiny 1 back in the day, and with it and MMOs it was my understanding that the grind was towards raids

N00BAL0T

Yea that would be the case if Bethesda didn't scrap the raids early on because they didn't work well and the end game bosses are not as worth as just waiting for radiation rumble or eviction notice events as they have more experience and legendaries.

Cursed1978

Get the best of the best weapons, gears and items like in all mmo‘s.

merry-strawberry

nothing, 2 weapons only

CHEWBAKKA-SLIM

The limit does not exist!

Cuddly_Cthulu

Shred and collect

JoshisJoshingyou

There really isn't any. You just do the same stuff over and over but now you kill the mobs in .010 seconds instead of .011. You can beat every boss in the game with a craft non-legendary weapon solo. It's fun once in a while to do all the events again. Mostly you should enjoy learning the systems and how to make a build. Soloing the bosses is fun once maybe. Other wise you have to come up with your own content. The record for beating the hardest boss in the game solo was 28 seconds (with a non hacked weapon nor one that was removed). Launching a nuke and summoning one of the 3 bosses is all there is. This is trivial easy past level 80 with a concentrated build.

Medical_Shrooms

Pvp sell shit for cheap jetpack mutations nukes try to get banned jk 😜

Uvtha-

There isn't one really.  There are currently 3 "boss" encounters all of which can be done more or less any time, and none have any rare drops that anyone cares about.  If you want to solo these guys you'll need a good build and gear, but there's really zero incentive to do so unless you just want the challenge.  There's a new one coming but I imagine it will be more of the same. The post story activities are as mentioned plan collecting base building, doing scoreboard, and waiting for new content and updates to seasonal events.     Lack of a proper end game has been a sore spot of this game basically since launch.  That's why it's more or less just ended up a casual fuck around kind of experience.

Ok-Chest-3980

Most people's end game is base building. Another goal is to make your toon as op as possible and solo bosses, which is doable. The last one is pvp. There is a group of people who hop on with perfect pvp gear and troll bases and workshops to fight people. I hope on every day to do Dailies and gather mats for those God rolls. Feels great to gather 500 modules and roll them to get 1 roll better than your last. (No joke) I focus on one weapon and try to get a God roll and build a kit around it.

ArcadianDelSol

Collections and making friends. Sure you can do them before the endgame, but they are there for you when you reach it.

Gavindude1997

My endgame usually consist of completing the seasons (scoreboards for the past 15 seasons) and then I take little breaks from 76 unless there's a seasonal or special event going on.

retrofuturia

Plans and camp building.

Blue_Sail

Inventory management. Even with the expanded content it's still a "make your own fun" kind of game. I like running around using minimal fast travel, looting stuff, and helping out at public events.

tasty_hands

For me it's the following: daily/weekly season challenges, daily quests, admiring my camp and changing things about it, daily ops(I'm trying to get the alien pa skin), public events, trying for god roll weapons, and trying not to be over encumbered. Sadly a lot of these activities are heavily time locked so there's really only so much that you can do per day and usually it's not very much at all, considering how much scrip it takes for a single groll item for example.

IDespiseFatties

Collect all the plans. I don't even have a checklist. I just endlessly build up caps and visit camps to see if they have a plan I've never heard of. Sometimes I buy plans just to sell them for cheaper at my base.

6Grumpymonkeys

I’m only playing 3 (rotational basis from burning out), but do any mmo’s actually have an endgame? Wouldn’t that be counter productive, since once you “beat” the game you would quit?

SamuDabu

Endgame is a loop of challenges, events, daily missions and daily currency (caps, gold and scrips) The endgame reminds me to one of those mobile games where you do few things daily and nothing else until tomorrow

MadMan2250

nuke people's camps

MashasHexesReadings

Expeditions, daily ops, seasonal events, daily challenges/ scoreboard grinding, collecting unique outfits/items, camp building, and world boss events pretty much. I still have quest lines to do tho and I’m level 200 and something.

iconDARK

Finding the "best" build isn't the only thing to do. Camp building, for example, doesn't relate to your build at all and plenty of high lvls just do that. But if you do want to focus on getting the "best" build, the three end game bosses are the Scorchbeast Queen, Earle the Wendigo Colossus, and the Ultracite Titan. These, and running Daily Ops solo are what you'll be pitting that build against. And maybe soloing Eviction Notice, if that's even possible.

Mortracersylvanas

The problem is there isn’t much. Tbf to the players who have stuck around the end game content is exactly what they want. To new or larger audience it isn’t what they want because they might want PvP or Larger repeatable raids, guild content, larger scale dungeons with unique items etc. I’m extremely happy like everyone else at the increased player base but I’m not sure it will keep the retention.

Vibrascity

It has one of the best end games I've played, in that, you don't need to be on a hamster wheel of constantly tiering into the next gear score to achieve the 'end-game' for all of that work and effort to be undone in 3 months when the next patch increases the max gear score. I just came back to the game after a 6 month break and don't feel like I've missed out on too much, might have missed out on the fashnacht plans and a couple events which sucks a bit, but it's fine. Some games you leave for 6 months and come back to all of your gear you left with completely negated by time and updates, and feel like you're so far behind there's no point in playing. This feeling doesn't exist when taking a break from this game, which is great. The endgame in FO76 is what you want it to be. Farming BiS gear, trying new builds, creating a new character and choosing different options in the quests, hoarding wealth and becoming a trader, decorating multiple camps, collecting every plan in the same, finishing all of the quests, watch your infinite level keep rising. Whatever you want, it's a sandbox without a typical end.

Speedycar100

You could spend a very good amount of time getting all the gold bullion things and then making builds for them all

davewenos

If you have friends, you can show them your base and have fun with them. If not, just build something pretty, make some cool photos and post them here. You'll get a storm of upvotes and positive comments.

elbingmiss

Sit at Watoga station and plug off your machine.

NurseDorothy

Search, loot, scrape/sell, repeat. Build and Decorate Camps & Vaults

Ninjacat97

Fashion, plan collecting, and camp building. As far as combat, the big things are speedrunning DOps and the 3 nuke bosses- Queenie, Earl, and Giga Rufus. We used to have a couple dungeons and they were pretty fun but they recycled them into DOps locations.

chicuco

switch between bloodied and comando and rant about it

Verjay92

Grinding the perfect set of secret service armor and then scoreboards

Longjumping_Falcon21

Collecting Outfits. Selling chems. Cannibalising super mutants. Pick one, or find your own goal :3

The_Philburt

Not in the sense you're thinking of, outside of running silos and unleashing the Scorch Queen. That said, most people would point to all the side and main quests, because the stories are quite good (including the Mysterious Veil line, as mentioned in another comment). Then it's a matter of collection, like getting your scouting badges, or building a place you're happy with.

pulp63

To wear funny clothes and spend caps!

kain9662002

Yeah it’s really make your own fun. Like you have this huge playground to play in, even with the other kids if you want to (but don’t have to) and you make your own fun. That’s the way I look at it. I used to see how fast I could grind levels, then I created multiple toons to try different builds and play styles, then I collected plans, then I started questing for the exact weapon I wanted (took forever) and now I just dick around like I have ADD just randomly doing stuff.

J_D_H55

Parades!🤗

ZogemWho

End game is finishing content, and getting bored.. but it’s usually take a break, and come back.

BSUjam

War never changes.

zebus_0

That's the thing, there isn't one.

Nino_Furioso

Even after 5 years and 2000 levels, I don’t have all of my armor and weapons to “Perfection”. So I keep grinding scrip and modules to hopefully improve my gear. Still working on collecting wood 7600 times too. Also, helping out everyone(especially low levels and new players). Handing out solid gear and resources to those in need is the wholesome part of the end game.

Much-Programmer-6146

Master a build-rifle/heavy gun until it gets too easy then build another-pistol/melee

Derlwyn

Mostly just weight management...

aski4777

waiting for more content to come lol the endgame in this game has been nonexistent for a long time

ezriah33

Animated perk cards

gundam1945

Looking for that godroll that you won't use.

botanyforbrains

finding new silly outfits and hanging out with friends 😂

JiveBombRebelz

no end game .... just keep doin shit.

Nocturnal_Master_

I have collected every single nocturnal godroll, and have some of the rarest collectable nocturnal items out there (nocturnal/ap/wwr USA set, nocturnal//25rvc, 15reload, 90 reduced weight legacy gat plas's, all nocturnal explosive legacy BPR rolls, Noc/e/25 nuclear winter combat rifle, etc.) Find something that will keep you busy, make an impossible armor set, try to get max perk points. you already said why you were building your build. you have fun doing it. The endgame isn't made from Bethesda, it's made from you.

JenSimp

That's one of life's great mysteries, isn't it? What \*is\* 76's endgame? I mean, are we all subjected to finding newer and miniscule-ly better gear until the end of time? Or is there really something else to keep us occupied? You know, like collecting copies of Note from Jen and Jen's Journal, Entry 1. I don't know, man. But I certainly do that second one.

Dzaka

i collect skulls... for my skull throne

FaithlesslyFree

End game is running around doing whatever events you like. Dropping nukes. And collecting clothes/plans.

JimJordansJacket

Current endgame is rolling up level 20 Fixers and chasing newbies all over the goddamn map only to have them keep running away from me I am dressed up like a Mothman cultist and I incinerate every car I see, what, is that off-putting or something

MinceATron

This is the problem with 76 - there is no end game You can literally complete every boss there is in game on your first day playing by just turning up. People out there min maxing absolutely every item they own, when in reality it doesn't matter one bit. I have a mish mash of secret service armour , have done for 2 years. It is incredibly hard to get killed on this game. Maybe the only thing I can think of is if you wanted to try and solo kill all bosses, but what's the point when loads of people turn up and do it much faster

Falafel_Phil_

Mine is collecting all animated perk cards Camp building Legendary crafting

Low-Chocolate1572

I would say the end game is different for everyone, but for the most part, it's to have the best drip and an all-around jack of all trades character to help you do daily ops and expeditions.

KhanDelNorte

- C.A.M.P building - trying out playstyles - collecting sets for different builds (power armor, unyielding set, bloodied weapons etc.) - wasting too much time re-rolling weapons for meta rolls - fashion

falloutfanatic123

Why is no one saying initiating and completing the SBQ event? That seems like it had been the end game since launch really, despite other boss fights and NPC quest lines.

MechaMouse

100% animated perks.

Frontrunner6

Fashion.

Annual-Jump3158

Build a pretty camp. Literally the only reason to clear the seasons. I need that dope-ass Autopsy Chemistry Station.

Existing-Mud9066

Killing different named scorched enemies at every boring recycled event they do is the end game, or spend money in the in-game atom shot because it's the only place you will get those

DiesIraeConventum

Fallout 76'es endgame is you and your experience in the game.  For some, it's helping others or otherwise engaging in player-to-player interactions. For others it's a never-ending hunt for the perfect rolls on weapons, armor, power armor and whatever. For most it's trying out new season stuff and exploring new expansions as those roll out. Granted, was better with Scoreboards but oh well, that is gone. There are also small communities of try-harders that solo stuff, of roleplayers, of prominent camp builders and whatever you can think of. In short, F76'es endgame is you.

punchi_E

The end game is killing earl williams solo lmao

Alright_doityourway

Hunting rare plans, you won't use most of it but still searching for it. Collecting rare masks, again, you will never wear it but still collect it because it's rare.

NerdyDank

Giving new players free stuff

If not grinding the high level world boss events for stuff. It's grinding score for all the goodies to make the most epic camps. That's really it. The camp building system is easily ok ne of coolest in any game.

There isn’t one. What you’re seeing in here is an awful lot of words to say ‘the end game is the friends we made along the way!’

Short answer: you kind of have to make your own long answer: depends a bit of what you want. Real end-game content is like the queen where you have a whole story line leading up to killing the scorched beast queen. The other two bosses are "end-game" in difficulty but not really much story leading up to it, certainly not an elaborate questline. So if your definition of end-game content is very strict, you basically have the queen and that's it. so the point is that you have to create your own end-game. decide what you like and what you aim for. For some it is soloing everything (adds a whole level of difficulty), for others it's collecting, for others it's getting the perfect gear or camp and for some it's probably all of the above. What I personally like in this game regarding end-game is that you can actually enjoy the fruits of your labor. Like an extensive scrap box enables you to build elaborate mansions whenever you like. Repair/make/experiment with any weapon you like. Unused perk points allow you to create multiple loadouts and experiment with them. Extensive knowledge on builds, armor and weapons lets you use any weak weapon and still slay with it. Loads of apparel options lets you change clothes daily, etc etc. I like the "almost-god-mode" of my end game. I might be poor in real life, but I'm loaded in Fo76 and it shows in everything I do. It's not like some other games where you get a new shiny weapon after completing the game only to struggle to find the energy to actually use it in a second play through. It's true that when you look at the grind like "I'm grinding for better gear so I can grind for better gear faster", the game will start to feel flat and boring.

Regarding the "end bosses", i fought the scorchbeast queen and the wendigo Colossus but did i read that correctly that there's a third? I recently came back to the game after a long break and probably missed it. What's the third Boss and what do i have to do to be able to fight it?

Passion4TheHunt

the titan. a giant mole rat that emerges from the ground at nukaworld when you nuke abandoned mineshaft 2, southwest-ish of nukaworld. Carefull though, you can't put it on the edge of the nukezone (like for SBQ) or it will not trigger. It doesn't need to be dead center on the mine, but it can't be on the edge either. You can make sure nukaworld is not in the nukezone though. One NPC in nukaworld can give some more info. usually located on a bench next to the arcade

Foamie

At very end of the game you run a few bosses and chase new rolls when they add more equipment to the game. It’s basically just like a fun little grinding game where you can complete the pass and unlock stuff to use and wear when they do content updates.

IllllIIllllIIlllIIIl

nope sadly, thats why once i finally had my dream end game build that took me weeks of grinding, i realise that i made it for nothing and went back to palying something else, im hopefully that they will add raids one day since i really like the gunplay and ambiance of the game but im not interested in fashion and camp building at all so i left and check the sub every other month to see if my wish of raids came true or not!

ActiveInternet

No, you make a build for boss events that hardly anyone runs anymore or to AFK at fasnacht for a ultra rare chance at a mask youll almost never wear. Really though its so you can 1-3 shot every enemy you come across while you spend the majority of your time building CAMPs.

Koopk1

Thats the neat part... there isnt really any end game content other than just collecting things and building camps. It's honestly the main reason I quit, no scaling gameplay content, where as your character basically scales to god tier-kill everything in 1 hit killing machine status fairly quickly (like level 125 or so the entire game becomes inconsequential). After you do all the non repeatable quests and killing the scorchbeast queen in 5 seconds flat there isnt much to do, other than the same repeatable quests for rep, which is just for cosmetic/quality of life things, but the quality of life things are kinda over kill since the game isn't challenging in the first place.
