The influx of "gimme gimme" lately is annoying. I enjoy giving stuff away, but not when people pester me for it. It turns my charity into their panhandling.

Sapien47

Dude someone gave me a whole set of Unyielding lvl50 armor for my Low HP build. I was flabbergasted. I had nothing to give back so I gave them the Mothman dance.

Andyguy82

An acceptable trade imo

Valuable_sandwich44

They should have the twerk emoti for that.

KingNashbaby

Why did this get downvoted, I’m laughing my ass off at the thought of a level 3 player twerking like tina from bobs burgers because someone dropped them armor

skylarslove

An audible laugh from the Tina reference. Love it.

Valuable_sandwich44

I agree lol

wearestevo

You could do the money shake emote while they mothman dance, kinda works lol

Cute_Cat5186

Lucky! I lost everything going from PS4 to PC after all these years not playing. Gotta find my unyielding all over again. XD

Ok-Judge8977

Dude I'm a full health build trying to get overeaters and weight and this game gives me fucking unyielded everything. I hate it so much 😭

KingNashbaby

I’m full health and when I roll weapons I get bloodied every time. The game has a sick sense of humor lol

LagatoCross

I rum full health and prefer instigating and the 1st star on armor doesn't matter to much for me but 2nd and 3rd are ap redux and weapon weight ... kinda a must for my main

Itsjusttokyo

Put your thoughts at you wanting unyielding and boom you get some overeaters

Connect_Orange_800

I hope everyone understandably annoyed by this “trend” keeps in mind that they are the loud minority and those that don’t beg or even ask are the silent majority

Personal_Bell_84

Yeah, I'm only level 8 right now and really haven't needed anything that couldn't be found scavenging or getting through donation boxes.

Sniper4041

I agree! Earlier I was on Xbox and saw a level 28 player at my base and we emoted as I don't have a mic and his power armor was incomplete, so I dropped him my old level 40 armor bits that would cover his exposed suit parts, just cause

ParticularNew5208

New player here. I'm around level 70, and I haven't asked anyone for anything yet. You can get almost anything you need from just playing the game besides some high-level plans or material that, honestly, you won't need for a while. Just farm for mutations and do public events and expeditions when they come up and do quests. P.s if you haven't gotten your mutations yet this is your sign to go get as many as you can. Just collect and drink dirty water, rinse and repeat

KapowLand

Level 93 now.. never begged.. but my gear probably shows that lol.

ceomds

And then there are people like me who just don't want social interaction and just chill while walking around. I get weird when someone tries to help or give stuff or even communicate. It has been so many years since I played anything online and i feel like someone randomly trying to talk to me on the street lol.

Morning_Star12

I thought I was the only one who plays/feels like this when playing online multiplayer 😭

ceomds

And worst is when they continue trying =d "hey do you have mic? Hey click on caps to talk? Hey how are you?"

TheTwinflames22

I was like this for a while, but now I got my mic out I haven’t come across anyone else with a mic so I have to keep making sure I’m muted as I talk to myself and can imagine shitting someone up as I scream like a bitch when enemies make me jump.

JM-the-GM

I'm gonna start a new character and role-play as a wandering bum. "It's a post-apocalyptic world, buddy. EVERYONE HAS PROBLEMS!!!!"

BeatitLikeitowesMe

Lmao, just never level up, endlessly wandering as a lvl2 begging for scraps

karrade0218

You just need the [Drifter Outfit](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Drifter_outfit_(Fallout_76)) and the [So Hungry Emote](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Atomic_Shop/Emotes) then you'll be all set 🤣

system_error_02

I just craft some low and mid level armour and guns and put them in my shop for lower cap amounts that they can afford. It doesn't get me much caps but it also means I'm not just giving stuff away.

trinithmournsoul

Fallout vet, 76 noob & I agree. It shouldn't be expected. People worked hard for their sheet. I've found caches of things folks dropped in the woods in some servers I'll be in. Legendary caches. (How long till things you drop disappear though? )

IllustriousRemove364

I’ve wondered the same thing about how long before something dropped disappears. I mean, it has to eventually, otherwise there would be bags of spoiled items littering the wasteland, right?

MelodicSquirrel0s

What happens is eventually it becomes a pile of loose stuff from the bags )bags disappear and just leave the contents as a pile in it's place) to my knowledge it sticks around untill the server resets or untill someone picks it up or untill the dropped item threshold is reached on server then it starts deleting and replacing the oldest when newer stuff gets dumped.

terminal8

As a noob, I've only been given one handout (some stims and radx). Personally, I want to be self sufficient.

verroku

I'm only level 72 playing for a couple of weeks but the fresh level 20s have started trying to hit me up. I think they read Reddit/the internet and hear about all the generosity and just assume.

Valuable_sandwich44

Pretty much lol

antimatt_r

Lol it's like newbies read about the generosity of high level players and decided that getting gifted stuff is a right rather than a privilege. I'm new, put maybe 20 hours in so far and haven't been given even a single diluted stimpak. Won't ever see me asking for stuff and I'm not crying about it. Talk about ruining some goodwill. Then again I was too introverted to get on mic and ask someone to die for me for Tadpole so maybe I'm just a puss lol

Capt-Greybeard

Did you get your tadpole completed?

antimatt_r

I finally finished the task to revive a downed player by teaming with some other noobs and stalking them until one died lol. Now I just need to get my 3 badges. I've got some picked out and thankfully they can be done solo

Slim1256

Yeah, this me. I'm level... 7, maybe? No one's given me anything, and that's perfectly fine. I don't understand this mentality of people expecting others to give them free shit. Mind-boggling.

Own_Waltz5083

I’m at 25 hours and after my recent post got some traction I had a couple guys throw me some excess plans and someone gave me a legendary rifle which has made things slightly easier to deal with but I don’t necessarily want too much gifted to me. Kinda ruins the objective of building up your own character and earning your caps and items etc.

clan_of_zimox

Back in my day, had a group of people gather at a church in the mire. Announced that I would be hosting a baptism for all those in need of fulfilling their pioneer scout challenges. Everybody would jump off and down themselves in the water, and people would take turns helping each other back up.

Universal_Contrarian

Hook ‘em up with these hands 👊🏻

Strange-Metal1795

Haha he didn't swing back, acted like he was tough because my swings wouldn't hurt him lol

Jordgubby

I always keep a baby’s bottle and a rattle in my junk tab to drop for these people.

sakurasunset

🤣

Dirtsk8r

Is there a good way to save particular junk items? It's much quicker to use the scrap all junk and store all junk options of course, but I'd love to be able to exclude certain things from that like cigarettes and such to sell. But without a way to just mark it to be excluded I just don't feel like it's worth it. I don't want to individually go through all my junk every time just to keep valuables till I can sell them.

Zizakkz

Drop them, scrap, pick back up, don't forget.

TheGreatGamer1389

I loled

[deleted]

When I was a low level I very rarely asked for help but I always said please and thank you when I did, I was helped every single time

Melodic-Resident-245

Never asked, got stuff for free twice by kind dwellers and someone decided to buy 1000+ caps of ammo from me at one point. Also found a player selling the plan for the fixer for only 180 caps. Been spending any money my distilled water farm is making on buying any cheap plans I find in player shops. Got my first camp at budget limit and looking fine. I feel like I didn't even need to ask anyone anything once, and I'm pretty much set for now.

FerretPunk

I've been a fan since the original release of the first game. I never thought we'd be here two decades later, playing together in a vast landscape meticulously detailed and vital. I avoided this game for years because A> the launch was bad, and B> I could not imagine Fallout as an online game. cut to today and I am so impressed with how cool and helpful this community is. Honestly the sudden influx of new players would often cause vets to roll their eyes, and troll the young lings. F76 community have been fantastically helpful and nicer than any online game community I have been in before.

Melodic-Resident-245

I've only retroactively played 1&2 after 3 and NV. I loved them both, and they made me love NV even more than I already did for it's authenticity. I too always avoided this game. Just only ever heard bad things about it, and honestly, the thing that is valid is that pre-wastelanders content is rough... But the world design is just... fantastic IMO. It's on par or surpasses Skyrim as far as I'm concerned. And the content after Wastelanders that I've played so far is good at the least. The show didn't impress me very much but I'm glad it made me crave fallout content I didn't know yet. The game is a blast and the community is nice.

CodeMath69

I also fell into the same thinking as you guys. I tried playing shortly after it was released, walked up to a fenced in area and tried to kill feral and promptly got smoked. I quit after that due to how confusing everything was lol. I started again a couple weeks ago after enjoying the show (I've also played 3, NV, and 4) and was very annoyed at the beginning of playing 76. I didn't know what to do or how to do it and wanted to stop playing yet again, but this time I muscled thru the learning curve and fell in love after a couple days.

[deleted]

Yeah I know this community is known for helping out and being friendly but some players go above and beyond, now I’m a high level I try to help out as much as possible.

Melodic-Resident-245

I just hit 50 yesterday and planning to at least spend some of my stuff on donations. Bought the Fusion core recharger. So probably will be dropping fusion cores and fixers here and there as well as ammo I don't need. Plasma weapons are too easy to get ammo for lol.

[deleted]

Yeah I have been crafting armour / guns for those fresh out of the vault, I also have tons of Radaway / Stimpacks so it’s nice to make some stash space lmao

BartholomewAlexander

been handing out suits of T-51b like its candy to trick or treaters 😂

Melodic-Resident-245

I've been selling my Radaway for chump change tbh. Maybe should start doing that. Stimpaks are a bit of an issue though as I like running around without power armor.

BartholomewAlexander

don't feel pressured to give away stuff yet. wait until you have a stockpile, chances are you need that stuff more than them right now. only really give stuff away you don't need. once you hit like level 100 I'd say you're probably good to start handing stuff out.

[deleted]

Yeah I was originally but found it was being bought by everyone except low levels, which is fine so I keep some in my vendor but the majority gets dropped directly to new players

x420xSmokesU

purified water farm means i hit cap seconds after logging in lol. no need to sell radaway when i can give it to the freshies that might actaully need it lol

TheTwinflames22

I keep my power armour in my pocket just in case, ‘cause same.

RexThunderman

Same, I never asked for anything. I farmed and grinded like a mf. This new generation of vault dwellers is getting a little too spoiled lol. I donate and give like crazy. I'm an enabler 😅

Easy-Coconut-33

I also buy ammo from low levels if they have the one I use. It's s good way to support.

BartholomewAlexander

this. its all in the tone. if you genuinely need something and ask for it kindly I and probably most people are are more than willing to help you and would probably do it without you even asking.

Spncr_C_Hrgrv

Literally the other day had what sounded like a 12 year old was walking around being like, "Donations? Donations anyone? C'mon". Annoyed the shit out of me

Strange-Metal1795

Haha should dumped your spoiled food or fertilizer.

chrisfanner

Lol Bethesda did want the players to be the npcs in 76. That kid was the homeless beggar that you can give a cap to

HiddenSecretStash

I would server hop after I told the kid he should be ashamed of himself

IronMonopoly

I do help out new players who look like they’re struggling. Buy out a hundred of my 5.56 rounds? I’ll give you the other 900. Doing work on your camp when I drop by? I’ll drop you a hundred or so basic mats. Nothing fancy, but enough for a decent roof over your head. Chems I got like candy. But if you come up to me demanding shit like an entitled little asshole whose mother never said no? Get bent, kid.

Strange-Metal1795

That was me if dude was a little friendlier I might have hooked him but he was an entitled little jerk. Ironically he acted like I was the asshole for messing with him and blocked me.

chrisfanner

I came across a large shack someone made, went inside to find there was no roof. The player was out exploring, so I made a few bundles of wood and some steel at their bench and dropped them for when they got back.

Own-Shelter-9897

I've never asked for anything, and I've never gotten anything. It's fairly easy to get by.

[deleted]

I’ve just started the game and find it incredibly easy. People have tried to give me things and I just decline because I want to play the game.

FerretPunk

Noob here, you absolutely did the right thing. I have had veteran players be super helpful, but I never expected anything and I was so grateful when they did help out with items or events. Honestly, reward bad behavior with spoiled vegetables is just about an elegant solution as I can imagine :)

Strange-Metal1795

Thanks, I'm usually generous but this guy put off real jabroni vibes

OverKill1978

I'm a noob and I don't want things at all. I like... you know... playing the game and finding stuff myself. The only items that I wish I had more of are the annoying "upkeep" items like purified water. I don't find enough of that though I do have like 30 right now... and probably Radaway is what I find the least of. I have a ton of Stimpaks like over 100 I think and I rarely use them, if I do, I dilute 10 or so and use them that way. But everything else? Weapons, Armor, even Junk and the rest.... Yeah. I want to discover that on my own.

gr33nnight

I've only been playing like 2 weeks but I have like 200+ bottles of purified water. The Luck perk where you find more meds + having a small aquifer in camp has helped loads. I sell each bottle for like 10 caps.

OverKill1978

Im only on day 4 rn so im super noob lol. Im sure ill get more stuff soon. Also ive been workin 50 hr weeks so F on my playtime

Zarathustra-Jack

I had some bozo ask for *600* plastic the other day 😳

Skyerocket

I'd have given them it Dropping a single piece at a time, of course

Zarathustra-Jack

😂 Nice.

HiddenSecretStash

And then moving back just an inch between every drop, so they have to follow you a little to pick them up each time 🤭

IceTomCat666

Well done. We are after all, for the most part, a community of manner damn it! 😄

Melodic-Resident-245

I'm trying to get the hang of it, no idea what the emotes mean in the "unwritten" sense though and I hate voice comms.

IceTomCat666

The heart emote to me means thank you. Then the rest are just what they are. Hello, come here etc 😅

Melodic-Resident-245

Ahh but there are some variation to the standard emotes and I don't exactly understand what for instance dude in power armor means. Been doing the heart and thumbs up thing though. And generally just waving at people.

IceTomCat666

I've been playing since beta and still don't exactly know what some of those actually mean 😅

Evening_Composter

I always figured the power armour is a warning to lower level plays that it's going to get hectic. Amour up or run. Could be a misinterpretation though

PriestessRedspyder

Hardest thing for me to understand about this game is WHY IS THERE NO TEXT CHAT?!??? Really bad decision to not have that!

hiroshiboom

[Badass!](https://i.imgflip.com/3gi9ny.jpg?a475968)

kain_26831

Fertilizer bags are also amusing to give away

HeinrichFuchs

Don't think i've ever asked anyone for free stuff, granted I can't figure out how to get voice activated.. though I do love vaccuming up any resources like popcorn, birthday cakes etc. from CAMPs, which I guess is an alright thing to do, so long as it isn't locked?

Strange-Metal1795

Of course it's alright, I do it too haha

BananaManBreadCan

I don’t want free stuff I want a team of fun peeps that’ll explain solid methods on how to achieve maximum LOOT BB.

skylarslove

This.

cbsa82

Me upon getting that: OH BOY FREE FERTILIZER THANK YOU SIR! *runs off* In all seriousness the only thing I want is to find someone selling a water purifier plan so I can build those in my camp but no one has one stg lol

Zero_Polar23

As a new player I personally like to level and get stuff the hard way. Then maybe because I am 50 years old and it's just a mind set of us older players?

Synn0289

I had to block someone harassing me the other day. Thankfully, it was the first and only issue so far.

2_F_Jeff

lol I had a level 24 come up to me and request a trade. Dude was wearing a glowing scorchbeast fasnacht mask, so I just fast traveled away. I feel like “requesting a trade” is a dead giveaway of an alt account because my low level ass never did that.

gale440

I'm a fresh level 50 and I became hesitant to be in the bases of high level players in case they thought I wanted free items too.

ProfessionalSilver52

Nah, it's cool to hang out and use stuff

HiddenSecretStash

I like to use the «nice camp» emote

tomcruisesPC

I make a several mansions so I can show it off to players and wow them so please… come inside my camp and make yourself at home - level 1128

rory888

nah just go shopping

PeeweeSherman12

The dude cant fins his own shit? Hell im level 30 and i havent begged for anything. I like to think im doing pretty good.

Strange-Metal1795

He was 47 lol

frontlinemedic

should have dropped some salt

Affectionate-Cow-796

Runescape players will get Grand Exchange PTSD now

Melodic-Resident-245

Wow player with Orgrimmar flashbacks tbh.

fuzzb4ll

I started a new character recently and have a small C.A.M.P. set up next to the lumber mill with water, crops, and a bunch of basic supplies in the vendors for new players. I only have a couple minor things locked such as side doors to keep my ally from leaving them open. I noticed a player crouched near the side door to the building with the vendors and walked up behind them to see what was up. As soon as the door opened and the wanted icon appeared, I capped them in the back of the head and deposited their junk in the vendor for 0 caps each. Hopefully they got their junk back before someone else came along. Normally I would just have let it slide, but the entire front of the building was open for them to enter through and all they accomplished was me wasting scrap to relock the door.

elvbierbaum

The audacity of some people. I'm level 44 and have initiated trade with 1 other person that wasn't my own kid, and they were a lower level than me! I want to play the game as I normally would any other game....**badly**. On my own. My first day in game I was gifted some stims, Radaway and a mask. It was a nice gesture from a veteran that I did not ask for. Greatly appreciated, though! TBH, if a vet could just show up and save me when I'm about to die, that'd be great. lol That hasn't happened yet. haha

ThisGardenGrows

If I notice a player on my team going down, I try to ft to help them out but am often late.

rory888

You’ll never know when the mothman is there to save you

elvbierbaum

I look forward to it! I haven't seen him yet.

rory888

Mysterious stranger, that one

rory888

addictol

Strange-Metal1795

Haha for real they gotta be on drugs asking like that

Bravew0rld

My question is what do players need so badly that they are asking others? This is my second rodeo after playing ps5 last time around, this time on steam, and it's been such a walk in the park. Killing Ghouls and Scorched feels like an ammo multiplication glitch at this point. I've never had as much 308, .44, .45, .50, .50 balls ever, so it can't be ammo. Events hand out purified water like Jesus so it can't be that. Not to mention food/drink isn't really a necessity. So what, do you guys just want better weapons and armor? Umm just go do events. Most guns/armor you have before level 50 are soon replaced by something newer and better. Not to mention you can very easily craft yourself some armor and guns along the way every 10 levels or so. I've been hovering around 30 reg stims on average, with a ton of diluted ones waiting in stash for that just in case I run out moment that has not happened yet.

Skyerocket

When you were partying I studied **The Wasteland** When you were having premarital sex I mastered **Concentrated Fire** While you wasted your days at the gym in pursuit of vanity I cultivated **Razorgrain** And now that the world is on fire and the ghouls are at the gate you have the audacity to come to me for help?

HiddenSecretStash

I don’t give to people who ask me. But i love stalking random players and then dropping them a care package and running away at the speed of light. I’m shy. I like to think of myself as an autistic mysterious wanderer.

Responsible-Lab-6118

mysterious stranger origin story

flannalaviators

I knew as soon as the game got popular and all the helpful veteran posts started happening there was gonna be instances of "beggars" appearing in the game lol

Bunny_OHara

Clown outfits are also really good for dropping on beggars.

TheLoneWolf99

The constant trade offers are even worse.

No_Salt5374

Exactly! Just as Mr. Lebowski said "are you employed sir?"

Ok_Philosophy915

I'm level 20 now and I appreciate the gesture when offered but I just like spreading heart emojis everywhere because I love you guys.

Unhappy_hestur7730

Dude when i started some guy approached me and gave me the fixer i was confused

eMmDeeKay_Says

Not that I haven't seen it on PC but I'm starting to feel like this is more prevalent on console where they can actually DM you.

Kaotecc

My method is I double crouch at high ranks and if they give me something they give me something but if they don’t they don’t. No biggie. I’m level 17 now but still grinding 😂

Speeddemon2016

I had someone keep bobbing up and down around me trying to get in my attention. Yeah, good luck because I’m moving on and ignoring you.

smackrock420

Probably not an actual new person.

Wild-End-219

The community is great but don’t expect others to give you stuff. It’s not like the veterans got everything handed to them. Players will give you things when they want to but it’s not an expectation. When I was new I was struggling, I was like “oh a pistol build should be fun!” Right out of the vault. Spoiler it was not. I was level 20 and they gave me a maxed out modded fixer pistol to use. Like literally it was so good I didn’t have anything better until I was level 70… I felt like a princess I was so spoiled.

The_Subjugator009

It's like wild animals. Humans feed them and they begin to pester people for more

[deleted]

As a new player I've been lucky enough to not get a single hand out and I'd never have the audacity to ask such things like that, I'm enjoying my playthrough and that's enough of a gift for me.

Halloweenkristy

It's prolly not even noobs, just alts.😄

MikeyTsi

Imagine begging when there's community drop boxes everywhere now.

crimsonjester

I feel bad when anyone gives me something. Can’t imagine actually asking for it.

Stray_Dog_8797

Level 300 dropped me 3 diluted Stimpacks (I’m level 21, started from 1) and walked away without a word, I’d die for that man.

JoeBaggaPa76

25% of the low levels asking for or begging are real new players. 75% are alts pretending to be new players looking to profit off of the article on how nice the community is.

1MrE

Nukashine is always the best gift for noobs

PrizeSheepherder6620

Becoming a problem irl too, damn moochers. On that note, hooray to my breaking lv100 after 3 weeks solo learning this. I was one of them that abandoned this game and loving it now

rook_1974

I had a guy ask me to make him a gun and he was super nice so I made him a rifle for his level he just had to supply gears lol

Relative-Yak1833

My camp is near the wayward and the number of low levels that come over and just teabag and spam emotes is getting infuriating

JGM_chicana

I had someone ask me for a nuclear keycard earlier lol

Hash_Swag_have_none

I'm beginning to believe it may be players who are already "accomplished" just begging for easy stuff. As a new player, I did not expect, nor feel entitled to higher level players stuff... I think this may be equivalent to in the hey days of world of Warcraft people making a new alt and begging for gold from other players just to send it to their main. I will let the low levels who randomly join my Casual groups tag along if they want to, and I'll look out for them, pick them up if they get knocked down, but until I vet them out, I won't drop shit for them. I do set my vending decently, but only on what I really don't need/use.... TLDR; my two cents, the ones begging for loot are just trying for sympathy and easy scores. Don't want them playing the game if this is their outlook on the game. The struggle is half the joy.

Empty_Value

The struggle is half the joy.... Indeed! I started a new character and some high level dropped 50 stims. I sent him a pm saying thanks but I'm not a new player ... Besides now that I know what to do,how to mod weapons and armor I'm gonna do better...im tempted to try an idiot savant mêlée build lol It wasn't until I was level 150 that I finally realized what builds where good for my play style

raynasaur

I carry baby bottles and rattles for them kinda people 😊

Plane-Cry-8127

Yeah maybe we are spoiling them a bit lol

MojaveBreeze

I love to drop spoiled food in the present loot bag and then do the gift emote lol. I did that long before all the noobs though, especially after Grahm's cookout.

crakwag3njax3n

I haven't experienced that kind of beggar yet, but I do keep running into low levels trying to pawn their legendaries to me for ridiculous prices. No, I don't want your level 30 ghoul slayers hunting rifle for 10k caps, please leave me alone.

sakurasunset

I just put stuff in my vendor for free/cheap since it's in an area that will be visited by lower levels. It helps me get rid of stuff and helps them. (and if a level 1083 wants to buy a bunch of mole miner gauntlet plans for 0 caps, so be it)   I still put necessities and clothes in the donation bins from time to time. Hopefully they check!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Strange-Metal1795

I don't care just wanted to post. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

throwawaynonsesne

I've seen more of y'all complaining about this scenario than I have beggars asking for free stuff.

DrWooolyNipples

I’ve never had so many Xbox DMs. I’m not even a high level or dressed conspicuously

spcwarmachine

Same thing happened to me before the patch hit... some level 78 wanted all my plans in my vendor, a t51 jetpack mod for free, and he wanted me to make him a full set of power armor.... I emoted no and he got mad saying I was worthless.

Strange-Metal1795

Lol he's the type that would never survive a real wasteland.

Illustrious-Ad3637

I never noticed personally, do other players see names of items when trade window open.

Some_Jellyfish_8022

The only time I ever sent an invite out to a higher level. I got stuck on some cliffs after doing an event in a higher level area. I'm like 21 or 22. I ran into a legendary goat death claw thingy. Wasted all my ammo. Couldn't escape. Sent an invite out to the nearest guy an he just declined it. :/ sometimes we are just asking for an extra umpf. No begging here, although if you ever see my camp down by the train station an airport, I'd be very much grateful if you bought the ammo I'm selling.

JPalos97

I got a dude asking me for a commando weapon all the time and I am level 80 that doesn't mean i know shit it just means that i level up fast, is what i did i farmed levels like a monster.

PurpleMembership196

I’ll take any spoiled veggies people don’t want 😂 I got a build going where my allies gain food and hunger from whatever I eat and I also got my disease resistance down to around 3% so all I eat is spoiled stuff now. Jokes aside though I enjoy helping new players but demanding stuff instantly makes me not want to help.

Reasonable-Target-56

Had a lv 38 begging me to trade in my lv50 Gatling plasma, he/she's not even at my lever (lv167) had to server hop lol

Bright_Souls

I hope he appreciated it, I love crafting fertilizer with it, gives me xp

monchota

Wow entitlement much?

6Grumpymonkeys

Fertilizer good.

iPrintScreen

Bruh I'm a noob but I've already built up an okay account, it's not hard. Not sure why all these smoothies require donations

Baked-Smurf

That's when I drop 1 fertilizer and a "You've been insulted" note lol

jester695

Someone posted in the Market the other day asking for a camp plan for Steven Scarberry. I explained it and told him I'd build the Tome in his camp since it gives the same buff. Joined, built, left, never heard another word, on PSN or a post on the thread here. I didn't exactly expect (or need) a thank you, but it's still always a little surprising.

I just price everything cheap now, used to give stuff away. I have free food items and cheap ammo and chems. Then you have the one guy that comes in and takes 75 free food items just to spoil in his inventory 🤣. That happened last night and then I got DC’d so he probably thought I cut him off haha.

EntropyCreep

Those get a nukashine and a see ya later

Bootziscool

After seeing lots of posts like this I have taken to gifting high level players a bag with a couple stimpaks and rad away since it's the only thing I have of value. I don't have a good reason. I know they don't need it. But like... I like being nice so I do what I can!!

jsb_1989

Give him some nukashine

Spektrum84

I really don't have anything better to do than the daily and weekly challenges. I've been crafting Fixers and ammo and handing them out like candy to anyone level 20+.

GoodMorningShadaloo

It's wild people come on these games to beg. I feel like being given shit ruins the game; happened to me incidentally on Dying Light a good few years back and it's made the game flavourless for me. Weirdly turned me off completely from handouts, although I do respect the level restriction on this game. Seriously though people need to stop being total scabs.

gr33nnight

I'm a new player and some nice dude gave me some loot but damn people should just play the game. As a side note, I sell all my recipes and radaway and health items for like 10-20 caps each. Came back to my base and someone left 50lbs of spoiled veggies.

skeithpkk117

Me eating everything I see see : Gee thanks mister.

[deleted]

As you should. 🙂‍↕️I’m all for helping out new players but don’t beg me.

-lxlKHARMAlxl-

I have to say... Ive earned my stuff. Started clean from level 1 and Im up to level 48 on my own. Yesterday a level 500+ needed help with a mission or challenge (cant remember which one) he said he needed to revive a player, I nodded yes and went to a nearby area where enemies downed me. He revived me and was so thankful he wanted to give me 200 caps. I told him no and heart emoji. Felt good to help a bro out.

itsmenotyou1108

I remember when I started I never flat out asked for anything a few people dropped me stims but I found a lot of stuff at ws station in the good old blue suitcase and in the resort trash cans lol. If a vendor had something I wanted but was short on caps I would message and ask if I could get it cheaper and some would even just drop the item i wanted for nothing.

West_Imagination3237

What does spoils vegetables craft to?

ElkOk4787

fertilizer 🤠

SaltedRouge

Started playing last week and the only time I got free stuff was when a random person dropped me some bobble heads while I was exploring their camp. Getting unexpected gifts feels way better than just asking for hand outs After playing for a while and getting to lvl ~80 I also have been giving away stuff to people. Recently gave a full set of lvl 20 raider PA with some cores to a lvl 17. (Got the PA as a quest reward and was planning to scrap it)

Vegetable_Word603

As a new player myself, finally hit 70. Have never asked for anything. Being going at it mostly solo. Prettied up the base, plans and ammo are selling good. Still have no idea what this serum is that people talk about. Have yet to see any for sale at any camps. And good for you, I think the noobs that are begging for hand outs are actually younger folks. Or lazy as fuck, either or, lol.

Klankford7

was a new player a few days ago and walked up to a high level and waved and he started dropping stuff. i really hope he didnt think i was trying to get stuff from him i was just trying to be friendly as he was the first person i really saw.

clayismaluable

May I /please/ have come get a free plan

So i started a few months ago. When I started I expected to be 1 vs 100 and was ready to give the big middle finger to all as i died all across the wastes. What I ended up with is a generous demi-god that i literally cant say no to. I'VE TRIED!!! Now he is my friend that I go to with my newest stuff like a child showing off what he learned in school. My advice to newbies: Play the mf game on your own. Be humble. You will be great one way or the other. The game loses its flavour without some struggle.

BartholomewAlexander

yeah I give all the newbies that show up some items but honestly if you're going around asking for like random items, gtfo. I will sometimes go to the level 500s if I need a specific item and pay them for it (usually they just offer it for free). but if ur going around begging you're getting nothing.

Fallout76_Tom

Yea I'm a level 86 and I've had 3 low level players follow me around standing in front me, teabagging enemies, etc.

poptartbaby420

I have never enjoyed asking for help, I personally enjoy the grinding and time to get where I want, kind of the whole purpose no?

ImpressiveWillow2346

Let the high levels come to you. When i came out fresh out the vault i was like nooo yall are so niceeee… they wanna help so youre bound to get someone who will wanna help u w alot .

No_Doubt_About_That

I either give purified water or open a lunchbox around them for the stats bonus.

zakaravan

Finally decided to play 76 after watching the show after looking up that it is much better to play these days. Wouldn't even think to ask anyone for anything. Part of the fun of fallout is not having shit at the start

Luis_Swagcia

Had someone lvl 25 request to trade and they wanted 260 caps and my main .50 cal machine gun I've been using, in exchange for: his lvl 20 1star .45 revolver

Asiancartman89

Begging for gear kinda defeats the purpose of the whole game, no? Like... You're supposed to struggle in a post-nuclear world and work for it...

FreyjaFoundLokiBorn

After coming back into everything, I've been happy just to see others around my camp and looking at any goods or emoting. It's "good will" for a reason, unfortunate that some don't get that. One of the best things is all the random teams you can join to just get things from events or expos, even the little cap trickle from missions is a plus. Low levels suck for sure and I'm all for helping the struggle, hopefully people don't ruin it🫡

htyne

Most I ever drop are a dozen stempaks to new players

hatedestruction

This is crazy. I'm a returning player from Xbox -> PC and I got a minor wanted on me for trying to steal someone's purified water, ya know ya boy was thirsty. Anyway, I finally run into another player yesterday and I give em the ol' Hello gesture. He says hello back and then finger guns to tell me he's gonna get me. I'm like sweet, give em the thumbs up, get rekt, and upon respawn at same location give him another thumbs up. It's not hard to be friendly in game, even without voice chat. I don't understand people who don't get it.

HighasDre

I've started directing them right to my vendor, they tend to get the hint pretty quick that I'm not their local Goodwill

Mimikyu22

I remember back when you couldn't even be below level 50 at your camp without some random level 500+ to come and drop off a bag full of every chem and ammo I could ever need...and I'd sell off all the chems and scrap all the ammo and sell it too. Because I don't like cheeesing through games...but I do like having caps lol

TomaStheWise

The begging shit has to stop. Had a level 30 follow me and beg at every event for me to drop something. 5 of em message me for free shit. Had to block messages. Low levels are becoming unbearable.
