I agree! Earlier I was on Xbox and saw a level 28 player at my base and we emoted as I don't have a mic and his power armor was incomplete, so I dropped him my old level 40 armor bits that would cover his exposed suit parts, just cause
New player here. I'm around level 70, and I haven't asked anyone for anything yet. You can get almost anything you need from just playing the game besides some high-level plans or material that, honestly, you won't need for a while. Just farm for mutations and do public events and expeditions when they come up and do quests. P.s if you haven't gotten your mutations yet this is your sign to go get as many as you can. Just collect and drink dirty water, rinse and repeat
And then there are people like me who just don't want social interaction and just chill while walking around. I get weird when someone tries to help or give stuff or even communicate. It has been so many years since I played anything online and i feel like someone randomly trying to talk to me on the street lol.

I just craft some low and mid level armour and guns and put them in my shop for lower cap amounts that they can afford. It doesn't get me much caps but it also means I'm not just giving stuff away.

I’ve wondered the same thing about how long before something dropped disappears. I mean, it has to eventually, otherwise there would be bags of spoiled items littering the wasteland, right?
What happens is eventually it becomes a pile of loose stuff from the bags )bags disappear and just leave the contents as a pile in it's place) to my knowledge it sticks around untill the server resets or untill someone picks it up or untill the dropped item threshold is reached on server then it starts deleting and replacing the oldest when newer stuff gets dumped.
I'm only level 72 playing for a couple of weeks but the fresh level 20s have started trying to hit me up. I think they read Reddit/the internet and hear about all the generosity and just assume.
Lol it's like newbies read about the generosity of high level players and decided that getting gifted stuff is a right rather than a privilege.

I’m at 25 hours and after my recent post got some traction I had a couple guys throw me some excess plans and someone gave me a legendary rifle which has made things slightly easier to deal with but I don’t necessarily want too much gifted to me. Kinda ruins the objective of building up your own character and earning your caps and items etc.
Back in my day, had a group of people gather at a church in the mire. Announced that I would be hosting a baptism for all those in need of fulfilling their pioneer scout challenges. Everybody would jump off and down themselves in the water, and people would take turns helping each other back up.
Is there a good way to save particular junk items? It's much quicker to use the scrap all junk and store all junk options of course, but I'd love to be able to exclude certain things from that like cigarettes and such to sell. But without a way to just mark it to be excluded I just don't feel like it's worth it. I don't want to individually go through all my junk every time just to keep valuables till I can sell them.
Never asked, got stuff for free twice by kind dwellers and someone decided to buy 1000+ caps of ammo from me at one point. Also found a player selling the plan for the fixer for only 180 caps.
Been spending any money my distilled water farm is making on buying any cheap plans I find in player shops. Got my first camp at budget limit and looking fine.
I feel like I didn't even need to ask anyone anything once, and I'm pretty much set for now.
I've been a fan since the original release of the first game. I never thought we'd be here two decades later, playing together in a vast landscape meticulously detailed and vital. I avoided this game for years because A> the launch was bad, and B> I could not imagine Fallout as an online game. cut to today and I am so impressed with how cool and helpful this community is. Honestly the sudden influx of new players would often cause vets to roll their eyes, and troll the young lings. F76 community have been fantastically helpful and nicer than any online game community I have been in before.
I've only retroactively played 1&2 after 3 and NV.
I loved them both, and they made me love NV even more than I already did for it's authenticity.
I too always avoided this game. Just only ever heard bad things about it, and honestly, the thing that is valid is that pre-wastelanders content is rough... But the world design is just... fantastic IMO. It's on par or surpasses Skyrim as far as I'm concerned. And the content after Wastelanders that I've played so far is good at the least.
The show didn't impress me very much but I'm glad it made me crave fallout content I didn't know yet. The game is a blast and the community is nice.
I also fell into the same thinking as you guys. I tried playing shortly after it was released, walked up to a fenced in area and tried to kill feral and promptly got smoked. I quit after that due to how confusing everything was lol. I started again a couple weeks ago after enjoying the show (I've also played 3, NV, and 4) and was very annoyed at the beginning of playing 76. I didn't know what to do or how to do it and wanted to stop playing yet again, but this time I muscled thru the learning curve and fell in love after a couple days.
Yeah I know this community is known for helping out and being friendly but some players go above and beyond, now I’m a high level I try to help out as much as possible.
I just hit 50 yesterday and planning to at least spend some of my stuff on donations.
Bought the Fusion core recharger. So probably will be dropping fusion cores and fixers here and there as well as ammo I don't need.

Maybe should start doing that. Stimpaks are a bit of an issue though as I like running around without power armor.
don't feel pressured to give away stuff yet. wait until you have a stockpile, chances are you need that stuff more than them right now. only really give stuff away you don't need. once you hit like level 100 I'd say you're probably good to start handing stuff out.
Yeah I was originally but found it was being bought by everyone except low levels, which is fine so I keep some in my vendor but the majority gets dropped directly to new players

I do help out new players who look like they’re struggling. Buy out a hundred of my 5.56 rounds? I’ll give you the other 900. Doing work on your camp when I drop by? I’ll drop you a hundred or so basic mats. Nothing fancy, but enough for a decent roof over your head. Chems I got like candy.

That was me if dude was a little friendlier I might have hooked him but he was an entitled little jerk. Ironically he acted like I was the asshole for messing with him and blocked me.
I came across a large shack someone made, went inside to find there was no roof. The player was out exploring, so I made a few bundles of wood and some steel at their bench and dropped them for when they got back.
Noob here, you absolutely did the right thing. I have had veteran players be super helpful, but I never expected anything and I was so grateful when they did help out with items or events. Honestly, reward bad behavior with spoiled vegetables is just about an elegant solution as I can imagine :)
I'm a noob and I don't want things at all. I like... you know... playing the game and finding stuff myself. The only items that I wish I had more of are the annoying "upkeep" items like purified water. I don't find enough of that though I do have like 30 right now... and probably Radaway is what I find the least of. I have a ton of Stimpaks like over 100 I think and I rarely use them, if I do, I dilute 10 or so and use them that way.
But everything else? Weapons, Armor, even Junk and the rest.... Yeah. I want to discover that on my own.
I've only been playing like 2 weeks but I have like 200+ bottles of purified water. The Luck perk where you find more meds + having a small aquifer in camp has helped loads. I sell each bottle for like 10 caps.
Ahh but there are some variation to the standard emotes and I don't exactly understand what for instance dude in power armor means.
Been doing the heart and thumbs up thing though. And generally just waving at people.
I always figured the power armour is a warning to lower level plays that it's going to get hectic. Amour up or run. Could be a misinterpretation though
Don't think i've ever asked anyone for free stuff, granted I can't figure out how to get voice activated.. though I do love vaccuming up any resources like popcorn, birthday cakes etc. from CAMPs, which I guess is an alright thing to do, so long as it isn't locked?

lol I had a level 24 come up to me and request a trade. Dude was wearing a glowing scorchbeast fasnacht mask, so I just fast traveled away. I feel like “requesting a trade” is a dead giveaway of an alt account because my low level ass never did that.
I started a new character recently and have a small C.A.M.P. set up next to the lumber mill with water, crops, and a bunch of basic supplies in the vendors for new players. I only have a couple minor things locked such as side doors to keep my ally from leaving them open. I noticed a player crouched near the side door to the building with the vendors and walked up behind them to see what was up. As soon as the door opened and the wanted icon appeared, I capped them in the back of the head and deposited their junk in the vendor for 0 caps each. Hopefully they got their junk back before someone else came along. Normally I would just have let it slide, but the entire front of the building was open for them to enter through and all they accomplished was me wasting scrap to relock the door.

I'm level 44 and have initiated trade with 1 other person that wasn't my own kid, and they were a lower level than me! I want to play the game as I normally would any other game....**badly**. On my own.
My first day in game I was gifted some stims, Radaway and a mask. It was a nice gesture from a veteran that I did not ask for. Greatly appreciated, though!
TBH, if a vet could just show up and save me when I'm about to die, that'd be great. lol That hasn't happened yet. haha
My question is what do players need so badly that they are asking others? This is my second rodeo after playing ps5 last time around, this time on steam, and it's been such a walk in the park. Killing Ghouls and Scorched feels like an ammo multiplication glitch at this point. I've never had as much 308, .44, .45, .50, .50 balls ever, so it can't be ammo. Events hand out purified water like Jesus so it can't be that. Not to mention food/drink isn't really a necessity. So what, do you guys just want better weapons and armor? Umm just go do events. Most guns/armor you have before level 50 are soon replaced by something newer and better. Not to mention you can very easily craft yourself some armor and guns along the way every 10 levels or so. I've been hovering around 30 reg stims on average, with a ton of diluted ones waiting in stash for that just in case I run out moment that has not happened yet.

My method is I double crouch at high ranks and if they give me something they give me something but if they don’t they don’t. No biggie. I’m level 17 now but still grinding 😂
The community is great but don’t expect others to give you stuff. It’s not like the veterans got everything handed to them. Players will give you things when they want to but it’s not an expectation.
When I was new I was struggling, I was like “oh a pistol build should be fun!” Right out of the vault. Spoiler it was not. I was level 20 and they gave me a maxed out modded fixer pistol to use. Like literally it was so good I didn’t have anything better until I was level 70… I felt like a princess I was so spoiled.
As a new player I've been lucky enough to not get a single hand out and I'd never have the audacity to ask such things like that, I'm enjoying my playthrough and that's enough of a gift for me.
25% of the low levels asking for or begging are real new players. 75% are alts pretending to be new players looking to profit off of the article on how nice the community is.
Becoming a problem irl too, damn moochers. On that note, hooray to my breaking lv100 after 3 weeks solo learning this. I was one of them that abandoned this game and loving it now
I'm beginning to believe it may be players who are already "accomplished" just begging for easy stuff. As a new player, I did not expect, nor feel entitled to higher level players stuff... I think this may be equivalent to in the hey days of world of Warcraft people making a new alt and begging for gold from other players just to send it to their main. I will let the low levels who randomly join my Casual groups tag along if they want to, and I'll look out for them, pick them up if they get knocked down, but until I vet them out, I won't drop shit for them. I do set my vending decently, but only on what I really don't need/use....
TLDR; my two cents, the ones begging for loot are just trying for sympathy and easy scores. Don't want them playing the game if this is their outlook on the game. The struggle is half the joy.

I just put stuff in my vendor for free/cheap since it's in an area that will be visited by lower levels. It helps me get rid of stuff and helps them. (and if a level 1083 wants to buy a bunch of mole miner gauntlet plans for 0 caps, so be it)

Same thing happened to me before the patch hit... some level 78 wanted all my plans in my vendor, a t51 jetpack mod for free, and he wanted me to make him a full set of power armor.... I emoted no and he got mad saying I was worthless.
The only time I ever sent an invite out to a higher level. I got stuck on some cliffs after doing an event in a higher level area. I'm like 21 or 22. I ran into a legendary goat death claw thingy. Wasted all my ammo. Couldn't escape. Sent an invite out to the nearest guy an he just declined it. :/ sometimes we are just asking for an extra umpf. No begging here, although if you ever see my camp down by the train station an airport, I'd be very much grateful if you bought the ammo I'm selling.
I got a dude asking me for a commando weapon all the time and I am level 80 that doesn't mean i know shit it just means that i level up fast, is what i did i farmed levels like a monster.

Joined, built, left, never heard another word, on PSN or a post on the thread here. I didn't exactly expect (or need) a thank you, but it's still always a little surprising.
I just price everything cheap now, used to give stuff away. I have free food items and cheap ammo and chems. Then you have the one guy that comes in and takes 75 free food items just to spoil in his inventory 🤣. That happened last night and then I got DC’d so he probably thought I cut him off haha.

I have to say... Ive earned my stuff. Started clean from level 1 and Im up to level 48 on my own. Yesterday a level 500+ needed help with a mission or challenge (cant remember which one) he said he needed to revive a player, I nodded yes and went to a nearby area where enemies downed me. He revived me and was so thankful he wanted to give me 200 caps. I told him no and heart emoji.

I remember when I started I never flat out asked for anything a few people dropped me stims but I found a lot of stuff at ws station in the good old blue suitcase and in the resort trash cans lol. If a vendor had something I wanted but was short on caps I would message and ask if I could get it cheaper and some would even just drop the item i wanted for nothing.

After playing for a while and getting to lvl ~80 I also have been giving away stuff to people. Recently gave a full set of lvl 20 raider PA with some cores to a lvl 17. (Got the PA as a quest reward and was planning to scrap it)
As a new player myself, finally hit 70. Have never asked for anything. Being going at it mostly solo. Prettied up the base, plans and ammo are selling good. Still have no idea what this serum is that people talk about. Have yet to see any for sale at any camps.

So i started a few months ago. When I started I expected to be 1 vs 100 and was ready to give the big middle finger to all as i died all across the wastes.
What I ended up with is a generous demi-god that i literally cant say no to. I'VE TRIED!!! Now he is my friend that I go to with my newest stuff like a child showing off what he learned in school.
My advice to newbies: Play the mf game on your own. Be humble. You will be great one way or the other. The game loses its flavour without some struggle.
yeah I give all the newbies that show up some items but honestly if you're going around asking for like random items, gtfo. I will sometimes go to the level 500s if I need a specific item and pay them for it (usually they just offer it for free). but if ur going around begging you're getting nothing.

After coming back into everything, I've been happy just to see others around my camp and looking at any goods or emoting. It's "good will" for a reason, unfortunate that some don't get that.
One of the best things is all the random teams you can join to just get things from events or expos, even the little cap trickle from missions is a plus. Low levels suck for sure and I'm all for helping the struggle, hopefully people don't ruin it🫡

As a noob, I've only been given one handout (some stims and radx). Personally, I want to be self sufficient.
I'm only level 72 playing for a couple of weeks but the fresh level 20s have started trying to hit me up. I think they read Reddit/the internet and hear about all the generosity and just assume.

I’m at 25 hours and after my recent post got some traction I had a couple guys throw me some excess plans and someone gave me a legendary rifle which has made things slightly easier to deal with but I don’t necessarily want too much gifted to me. Kinda ruins the objective of building up your own character and earning your caps and items etc.
Back in my day, had a group of people gather at a church in the mire. Announced that I would be hosting a baptism for all those in need of fulfilling their pioneer scout challenges. Everybody would jump off and down themselves in the water, and people would take turns helping each other back up.

Is there a good way to save particular junk items? It's much quicker to use the scrap all junk and store all junk options of course, but I'd love to be able to exclude certain things from that like cigarettes and such to sell. But without a way to just mark it to be excluded I just don't feel like it's worth it. I don't want to individually go through all my junk every time just to keep valuables till I can sell them.

Never asked, got stuff for free twice by kind dwellers and someone decided to buy 1000+ caps of ammo from me at one point. Also found a player selling the plan for the fixer for only 180 caps. Been spending any money my distilled water farm is making on buying any cheap plans I find in player shops. Got my first camp at budget limit and looking fine. I feel like I didn't even need to ask anyone anything once, and I'm pretty much set for now.
I've been a fan since the original release of the first game. I never thought we'd be here two decades later, playing together in a vast landscape meticulously detailed and vital. I avoided this game for years because A> the launch was bad, and B> I could not imagine Fallout as an online game. cut to today and I am so impressed with how cool and helpful this community is. Honestly the sudden influx of new players would often cause vets to roll their eyes, and troll the young lings. F76 community have been fantastically helpful and nicer than any online game community I have been in before.
I've only retroactively played 1&2 after 3 and NV. I loved them both, and they made me love NV even more than I already did for it's authenticity. I too always avoided this game. Just only ever heard bad things about it, and honestly, the thing that is valid is that pre-wastelanders content is rough... But the world design is just... fantastic IMO. It's on par or surpasses Skyrim as far as I'm concerned. And the content after Wastelanders that I've played so far is good at the least. The show didn't impress me very much but I'm glad it made me crave fallout content I didn't know yet. The game is a blast and the community is nice.
I also fell into the same thinking as you guys. I tried playing shortly after it was released, walked up to a fenced in area and tried to kill feral and promptly got smoked. I quit after that due to how confusing everything was lol. I started again a couple weeks ago after enjoying the show (I've also played 3, NV, and 4) and was very annoyed at the beginning of playing 76. I didn't know what to do or how to do it and wanted to stop playing yet again, but this time I muscled thru the learning curve and fell in love after a couple days.
Yeah I know this community is known for helping out and being friendly but some players go above and beyond, now I’m a high level I try to help out as much as possible.
I just hit 50 yesterday and planning to at least spend some of my stuff on donations. Bought the Fusion core recharger. So probably will be dropping fusion cores and fixers here and there as well as ammo I don't need. Plasma weapons are too easy to get ammo for lol.
Yeah I have been crafting armour / guns for those fresh out of the vault, I also have tons of Radaway / Stimpacks so it’s nice to make some stash space lmao

I've been selling my Radaway for chump change tbh. Maybe should start doing that. Stimpaks are a bit of an issue though as I like running around without power armor.
don't feel pressured to give away stuff yet. wait until you have a stockpile, chances are you need that stuff more than them right now. only really give stuff away you don't need. once you hit like level 100 I'd say you're probably good to start handing stuff out.
Yeah I was originally but found it was being bought by everyone except low levels, which is fine so I keep some in my vendor but the majority gets dropped directly to new players

That was me if dude was a little friendlier I might have hooked him but he was an entitled little jerk. Ironically he acted like I was the asshole for messing with him and blocked me.
I came across a large shack someone made, went inside to find there was no roof. The player was out exploring, so I made a few bundles of wood and some steel at their bench and dropped them for when they got back.
I've never asked for anything, and I've never gotten anything. It's fairly easy to get by.

Noob here, you absolutely did the right thing. I have had veteran players be super helpful, but I never expected anything and I was so grateful when they did help out with items or events. Honestly, reward bad behavior with spoiled vegetables is just about an elegant solution as I can imagine :)

I'm a noob and I don't want things at all. I like... you know... playing the game and finding stuff myself. The only items that I wish I had more of are the annoying "upkeep" items like purified water. I don't find enough of that though I do have like 30 right now... and probably Radaway is what I find the least of. I have a ton of Stimpaks like over 100 I think and I rarely use them, if I do, I dilute 10 or so and use them that way. But everything else? Weapons, Armor, even Junk and the rest.... Yeah. I want to discover that on my own.
I've only been playing like 2 weeks but I have like 200+ bottles of purified water. The Luck perk where you find more meds + having a small aquifer in camp has helped loads. I sell each bottle for like 10 caps.
Im only on day 4 rn so im super noob lol. Im sure ill get more stuff soon. Also ive been workin 50 hr weeks so F on my playtime

Ahh but there are some variation to the standard emotes and I don't exactly understand what for instance dude in power armor means. Been doing the heart and thumbs up thing though. And generally just waving at people.

I started a new character recently and have a small C.A.M.P. set up next to the lumber mill with water, crops, and a bunch of basic supplies in the vendors for new players. I only have a couple minor things locked such as side doors to keep my ally from leaving them open. I noticed a player crouched near the side door to the building with the vendors and walked up behind them to see what was up. As soon as the door opened and the wanted icon appeared, I capped them in the back of the head and deposited their junk in the vendor for 0 caps each. Hopefully they got their junk back before someone else came along. Normally I would just have let it slide, but the entire front of the building was open for them to enter through and all they accomplished was me wasting scrap to relock the door.
The audacity of some people. I'm level 44 and have initiated trade with 1 other person that wasn't my own kid, and they were a lower level than me! I want to play the game as I normally would any other game....**badly**. On my own. My first day in game I was gifted some stims, Radaway and a mask. It was a nice gesture from a veteran that I did not ask for. Greatly appreciated, though! TBH, if a vet could just show up and save me when I'm about to die, that'd be great. lol That hasn't happened yet. haha
If I notice a player on my team going down, I try to ft to help them out but am often late.

My question is what do players need so badly that they are asking others? This is my second rodeo after playing ps5 last time around, this time on steam, and it's been such a walk in the park. Killing Ghouls and Scorched feels like an ammo multiplication glitch at this point. I've never had as much 308, .44, .45, .50, .50 balls ever, so it can't be ammo. Events hand out purified water like Jesus so it can't be that. Not to mention food/drink isn't really a necessity. So what, do you guys just want better weapons and armor? Umm just go do events. Most guns/armor you have before level 50 are soon replaced by something newer and better. Not to mention you can very easily craft yourself some armor and guns along the way every 10 levels or so. I've been hovering around 30 reg stims on average, with a ton of diluted ones waiting in stash for that just in case I run out moment that has not happened yet.

The community is great but don’t expect others to give you stuff. It’s not like the veterans got everything handed to them. Players will give you things when they want to but it’s not an expectation. When I was new I was struggling, I was like “oh a pistol build should be fun!” Right out of the vault. Spoiler it was not. I was level 20 and they gave me a maxed out modded fixer pistol to use. Like literally it was so good I didn’t have anything better until I was level 70… I felt like a princess I was so spoiled.

I'm beginning to believe it may be players who are already "accomplished" just begging for easy stuff. As a new player, I did not expect, nor feel entitled to higher level players stuff... I think this may be equivalent to in the hey days of world of Warcraft people making a new alt and begging for gold from other players just to send it to their main. I will let the low levels who randomly join my Casual groups tag along if they want to, and I'll look out for them, pick them up if they get knocked down, but until I vet them out, I won't drop shit for them. I do set my vending decently, but only on what I really don't need/use.... TLDR; my two cents, the ones begging for loot are just trying for sympathy and easy scores. Don't want them playing the game if this is their outlook on the game. The struggle is half the joy.

I just put stuff in my vendor for free/cheap since it's in an area that will be visited by lower levels. It helps me get rid of stuff and helps them. (and if a level 1083 wants to buy a bunch of mole miner gauntlet plans for 0 caps, so be it) I still put necessities and clothes in the donation bins from time to time. Hopefully they check!

Same thing happened to me before the patch hit... some level 78 wanted all my plans in my vendor, a t51 jetpack mod for free, and he wanted me to make him a full set of power armor.... I emoted no and he got mad saying I was worthless.

The only time I ever sent an invite out to a higher level. I got stuck on some cliffs after doing an event in a higher level area. I'm like 21 or 22. I ran into a legendary goat death claw thingy. Wasted all my ammo. Couldn't escape. Sent an invite out to the nearest guy an he just declined it. :/ sometimes we are just asking for an extra umpf. No begging here, although if you ever see my camp down by the train station an airport, I'd be very much grateful if you bought the ammo I'm selling.
I got a dude asking me for a commando weapon all the time and I am level 80 that doesn't mean i know shit it just means that i level up fast, is what i did i farmed levels like a monster.

Joined, built, left, never heard another word, on PSN or a post on the thread here. I didn't exactly expect (or need) a thank you, but it's still always a little surprising.
I just price everything cheap now, used to give stuff away. I have free food items and cheap ammo and chems. Then you have the one guy that comes in and takes 75 free food items just to spoil in his inventory 🤣. That happened last night and then I got DC’d so he probably thought I cut him off haha.

I have to say... Ive earned my stuff. Started clean from level 1 and Im up to level 48 on my own. Yesterday a level 500+ needed help with a mission or challenge (cant remember which one) he said he needed to revive a player, I nodded yes and went to a nearby area where enemies downed me. He revived me and was so thankful he wanted to give me 200 caps. I told him no and heart emoji. Felt good to help a bro out.
I remember when I started I never flat out asked for anything a few people dropped me stims but I found a lot of stuff at ws station in the good old blue suitcase and in the resort trash cans lol. If a vendor had something I wanted but was short on caps I would message and ask if I could get it cheaper and some would even just drop the item i wanted for nothing.

Started playing last week and the only time I got free stuff was when a random person dropped me some bobble heads while I was exploring their camp. Getting unexpected gifts feels way better than just asking for hand outs After playing for a while and getting to lvl ~80 I also have been giving away stuff to people. Recently gave a full set of lvl 20 raider PA with some cores to a lvl 17. (Got the PA as a quest reward and was planning to scrap it)

So i started a few months ago. When I started I expected to be 1 vs 100 and was ready to give the big middle finger to all as i died all across the wastes. What I ended up with is a generous demi-god that i literally cant say no to. I'VE TRIED!!! Now he is my friend that I go to with my newest stuff like a child showing off what he learned in school. My advice to newbies: Play the mf game on your own. Be humble. You will be great one way or the other. The game loses its flavour without some struggle.

I will sometimes go to the level 500s if I need a specific item and pay them for it (usually they just offer it for free). but if ur going around begging you're getting nothing.

After coming back into everything, I've been happy just to see others around my camp and looking at any goods or emoting. It's "good will" for a reason, unfortunate that some don't get that. One of the best things is all the random teams you can join to just get things from events or expos, even the little cap trickle from missions is a plus. Low levels suck for sure and I'm all for helping the struggle, hopefully people don't ruin it🫡

This is crazy. I'm a returning player from Xbox -> PC and I got a minor wanted on me for trying to steal someone's purified water, ya know ya boy was thirsty. Anyway, I finally run into another player yesterday and I give em the ol' Hello gesture. He says hello back and then finger guns to tell me he's gonna get me. I'm like sweet, give em the thumbs up, get rekt, and upon respawn at same location give him another thumbs up. It's not hard to be friendly in game, even without voice chat. I don't understand people who don't get it.
