Yup, aliens are back.
I would like to take this auspicious occasion to once again restate my call to switch mutated events from the top of the hour to the twenties or the forties so that when top of the hour events like Aliens, Fasnacht and Mothman are active they aren't actually displacing something better, but rather supplementing it.
I'd like to see mutated events appear as randomly as the events themselves. So, it could be on the hour, or 20/40 minutes, seasonal, non-seasonal, not just as part of a week of mutations. Maybe a week of double mutated events would be good.

I did the event twice and I think I died like 8 times between the two. Also we failed it twice so I'm thinking I wasn't the only one dying a lot. A few higher levels in power armor were trying to carry half a dozen of us level 15-35 noobs but it just wasn't happening. Thanks to those brave souls for trying! (This was on Xbox.)
I'm level 160 and I don't get how people don't get melted in events. I used secret service armour and still got melted fast. Not sure what else I can do besides power armour
For the Aliens you can put up Electric Asorbtion in the Legendary Perks if you are in your power armour. Because aliens are energy damage their hits have a chance of healing u & charging your fusion core.
To be honest I always forget about legendary cards. Might make a build around that for the event. I have so many cores at 100% that I don't even know what to do with too

Just got done playing it first time. Level 62 with not very great weapons. It was basically like a kid running around with a BB gun while everyone else had mini guns and colorful ass t armor
I assume you mean you want info from veteran players about good drops, rather than you want drops from veteran players (which I assume the rude person assumed- apparently sometimes new players follow around veteran players begging and it gets annoying).
The alien blaster is the best (I think) pistol, check Angry Turtle on YouTube, I think he did a video on it recently. The other stuff is cosmetic/not useful. You can’t choose what you get so just join a Casual team and participate in every event you can.

And those aliens are everywhere, spamming other events. Campfire tales jumped a few levels of difficulty now that there are aliens spawning in, and even random events have alien visitors. I've even come across them when exploring out and about.
Wish this event followed the Mutation Invasion model where we don't get duplicate plans until we have learned every plan in the loot pool. Mothman Equinox had all of the new rewards with the Mutation Invasion model. So we are going to end up with a ton of worthless duplicate plans searching for that one worthwhile plan.
Returning player here, and the new event is so glitchy it crashes my game before the third wave is finished, so I don't even get rewarded for participating. I don't know what to do about it, I'm probably going to stick to fo4 and new Vegas lol

According to that calendar Treature Hunters and Meat Week are going to be back soon too. Then in June we'll see a updated and much faster paced Fasnacht returning.
The alien event keeps crashing my game so I can't complete it unfortunately. Feel like I'm not the only one though, by the time I relogged and saw them completing the even only half the original force remained.
I hate alien invaders.... Also sorry if I messed up the event. My low level player tried staying up high with a sniper rifle but they still managed to find me and overwhelmed me 😔😔
every type of power armor except for union, strangler heart and hellcat power armor, the red and white alien power armor is only available through the atomic shop whenever it appears there but you can get a blue and white variant of the armor by doing daily ops

If you're having trouble getting it to drop, check people's vendors in the next few days. The mods tend to get put up for pretty cheap once the event has been rolling for a little while.
I've been playing this game off and on for years but this is the first time I've seen this event, seems pretty good for exp if you can tag enough enemies.
I am sort of a new player (2.5 months) and did NOT know about this. Also that guy is just a loser. Unfortunately there are some horrible people out there that refuse to grow tf up.

I love the event. Aside from the almost 100% chance of crashing during it though.
First drop was Teal Hazmat, followed by the Alien Disintegrator and then Asteroid and Alien Cry Mag.
Gone from 41-45 as well. Love the look of the Teal Hazmat.

Does anyone else encounter an issue where after the first wave guns stop doing damage? I get damage numbers but enemy hp doesn't reflect them. Is this just lag?
Hooray! First time joining the event, the game crashes. I load back in, the game freezes. Honestly, i cant be the only one.. the PlayStation app for this game is the literal Worst.
I play by myself, just join casual teams....and am subscribed monthly so could play on a private server if I wanted to...having said all of that I've not encountered any asshats yet. I'm sure they're out there tho. Loving the game! Shied away for 6 years as I prefer my wasteland solo....wish I'd have jumped in sooner seeing how amazing it is. Happy hunting all.
Hell yeah ! Only thing better would have been Meat Week. I just love those events and rewards ! Hopefully they balance Alien events this time though cause they went overboard last time with them and carried the Zeta Invaders event far too much. It didn't help that when Meat week was canceled that they replaced it with the Zeta Invaders event all over again and people got burned out.

Yeah it’s my first alien event… joined in, killed like 3 aliens and my game crashed. Tried to load it twice to an infinite black loading screen with a little vault tec logo mocking me

I use power armor with energy absorb legendary perk, these events are just healing me. But there is so much light that the game can't keep up and crashes. So many times I come back to seeing a bunch of players standing disconnected.
The event should NEVER EVER EVER cancel itself without finishing. WTF? ?? WTF is wrong with the devs making an event that cancels so we waste out time.

The Alien Disintegrator (the rifle) is also the strongest energy rifle and the only "silent" one. So it's a great pick for a stealth rifleman.

Thank God they nerfed then. They used to one shot kill me. Now it take about 5. 😄 I still die pretty quickly but that comes with a bloodied build

Just started playing again, can I get the alien blaster plans from this event? If so, how do I?
My favorite event tbh I'm looming forward to the new and old alien rewards (I want another Laser door lol) Plus ME WANT ALIEN ARMOR
What is a recommended level for this?

Yeah it’s my first alien event… joined in, killed like 3 aliens and my game crashed. Tried to load it twice to an infinite black loading screen with a little vault tec logo mocking me Is my character lost or will I just have to wait until the event is over before I’ll actually load in?!?
Yeah I got fucked up while trying to get my ID at the DMV 😭
Hopefully I can sort my pc out in time. Started playing silly buggers today 🤦♂️ says critical process died on a BODn then goes to automatic repair wanting my outlookpassword that it says is never right even after changing it on my phone 🤦♂️😢
I use power armor with energy absorb legendary perk, these events are just healing me. But there is so much light that the game can't keep up and crashes. So many times I come back to seeing a bunch of players standing disconnected.
God nothing much better than killing aliens! Aliens get out! Specially the illegal ones ;)
The event should NEVER EVER EVER cancel itself without finishing. WTF? ?? WTF is wrong with the devs making an event that cancels so we waste out time.
