I saw the Wise Mothman at a Red Rocket in Flatwoods yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing right now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Nuka Colas in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
One time, I was completely lost, walking along the beach. And Mothasn said, "The hotel is back that way, past the lifeguard stand" when I turned around, I only saw one set of footprints, I asked why, and Mothman said, "Dude, I can fly." He's so wise
Lol. I like the event because there is no rush to get to his exp buff. The first couple times I did it I thought I missed out because I wasn't one of the 20 or 30 to emote. But nope! Now I just go on a loot frenzy, then mosey my way up and get my exp buff lol.
It's awesome. I'm still pretty low level (literally only hit level 30 today), but I'm playing with my level 200+ brother, and he's been exceedingly helpful.
He has a flamethrower to take care of any that are overwhelming and has the Friendly Fire perk, so he gives me health too. We go ham with mothman

Events with a lot of enemies are great for gaining a lot of xp quickly. You'll get xp as long as you do some damage before they die.
And I do! I went up 5 levels last night just from fucking around and doing mothman events when they appeared
