You know when you’re trying to fall asleep but a song is stuck in your head? That’s the “I didn’t know the gun was loaded” song for me.
Anyway there a lot of really great fallout playlists on Spotify!
My favorite part:
The police put Pete in jail
Yes, he finally met his faith
But when they came to pay his bail
They found him choppin' up his cell mate 🤣
I turn my radio up for that one. It perfectly captures the emptiness and melancholy of the wasteland. Top 3 for sure i even listen to it in the car now 😅
Theres actually something like that in West Virginia on J104.5 radio station. Kitt Krattick in the morning is what its called. Dude had the show for years and after he died they just replay all his earlier shows. Its still going to this day. Him talking in between songs and all
Now I remember why I haven’t put the in game radio back on for ages lmao. Also I miss how it was when the game started - banger after banger and because there were no NPCs we didn’t have Julie’s life story every 30 seconds! Never get to hear Wouldn’t It Be Nice or anything decent anymore I swear. I can’t remember hearing country roads for ages either!
I haaate when she basically says she saved the radio station.
"If it weren't for me, you'd be listening to this song over and over again forever!". Then proceeds to play Cole Porter: "Anything Goes" which is one of my top 5 all time Fallout songs.
Lady, I would rather listen to Anything Goes forever than you.
They missed huge opportunity with in game radio...
Imagine if you will if we could have the in game radio tied loosely to in game events.
Imagine the radio host interviewing Grahm about Meat week.
Or the host talking about the Alien invasion only to the AI to hack the broadcast and tell us why the invasion was happening.
Hell the radio host doesn't even talk about Scorched Beasts or the Vaccine.
You could add so much lore to the as well doing it immersively.
I think seasonal radio host snippets are an awesome idea. Since the radio is the same for everyone they have to do no spoilers though. But I think the general consensus of taking the play list from 60 to like 80 or 100 would be a huge improvement.
There were rumors before the game came out that there would be a radio station that people would fight for to control what was being played on the radio. Imagine each server having a different radio host who was playing the music of their choice (probably from a Bethesda approved catalog though)... Would have been cool and actually seems like something worth PVPing for.
Do you not know about Pirate Radio? It’s sorta what your explaining you want. It has short stories with in game characters along with music and commercials.
Especially since in the single player games player actions will influence what the host says, so it's weird to me they didn't add some in about in game events.
Maybe like for the seasonal events that happen every hour they could have one too. just not enough flavor
The classical station gets zero love. I love how it plays music that matches the gameplay. Flight of the Valkyries playing as I’m stomping the Penitentiary yard is 🔥
It has that one 🔥 track that sounds like star wars, because the composer inspired the guys from lucas arts.
(The Planets - Mars, the Bringer of War - Gustav Holst (Condensed variation; composed in 1914)
in one of the Heinlein books, the Martians are demanding stateship from like the future UN and when they enter, they've selected MARS, THE BRINGER OF WAR as their anthem, and it scares the crap out of the waiting officials
Once you learn how much Mars has been reworked in to other songs/scores, you can't stop hearing it EVERYWHERE. The other planet pieces a little but Mars is so identifiable and SO many show/movies have used various arrangements or just lifted the iconic parts for new songs
Classical is amazing. I listen to different stations based on my build. I still use Appalachia for my heavy gun build, but I’ve switched to Classical for stealth/sniper build. It’s been awesome.
I started using the classical too. It's much nicer than listening to Julie the twit repeatedly saying the same lines. I like the songs on Appalachia radio but I could do without her voice.
I listen to the classical station mostly. It's so perfect, I love to run through the wasteland in a killing frenzy with Beethovens concerto playing in the background. 🤣
Julie: "*I'm not saying you all owe me, but when I got here the equipment was days away from breaking down. You were all saved from hearing this song, and only this song, repeating endlessly forever.*"
Julie you had one job.
Didn't 3 have a quest to find records for the station? Why isn't that a thing? Whole new line of quests right there. Or, there are instruments, a new wasteland music star, song, genre, something
I think they would struggle with adding songs via quest because the radio plays the same song for everyone in the server, so implementing that would require client sided radio
Make a new radio that's only accessible after you finish the quest.
Quest line could be helping some new guy set up a radio station cus it was his life long dream
There's a workaround, they could make it an event that spawns a radio signal when you complete it successfully, very similar to how the Sons of Dane Automated signal always shows up when that event becomes available.
You realise that implementing that would be incredibly easy right? Hell they could even add static radios or music boxes fairly easily, but fo76 has introduced microtransactions so if they add it I bet it won't be free despite it being a simple block of code that they very likely already have from another game.
Also on 4 there is a quest for Travis called confidence man. It actually unlocks extra songs for the radio and he gets different lines and… sounds more confident after you complete the quest.
I honestly like the Appalachia radio and I always keep it on, despite the lack of variety Of song choices I still enjoy it whenever I’m running expos or events.
To my mind, Appalachia is best enjoyed with the ambient music, which continually updates almost every single time we have a new major update without failure.
There’s also pirate radio, if you want some radio plays, weirder songs and advertisements.
[That’s why I decided to make my own playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0A5kJwpjsxiCySQ3Oyr8Dh?si=erdZv8pmRluUWtv7kIZ2Cg&pi=u-8N--QMryRgO2). Play on shuffle.
It’s 17.5 days straight worth of music.
I thought they did have part 2? I could've sworn I've heard it at least once but it could be me.
Edit: I just looked. It's only in fallout 4. And I've been playing that at work during my lunches.
Well that's why I listen to Pirate Radio nowadays, even the stories will start looping after you've played for an hour. The stories are hilarious, and no boring toons.
it's because unlike any past fallout the radio is randomly generated from chunks. so sometimes you'll get like.. 2 songs over and over back to back when the RNG engine has a brain fart
yeah they need to code it that if something has been used in the last hour it's removed from rotation but still..
I fuckin love "16 tons" but there's obviously a limit to how much I want to listen to it.
I would FUCKING LOVE, if and when New Vegas Remastered comes, for them to include 1 more Marty Robbins song: Feleena (from El Paso). It's an absolutely beautiful and tragic song. And totally fits the NV atmosphere
With this thing game studios have of leaning on past IP instead of making new stuff & the fact that (spoiler!)

... The show seems to hint at New Vegas, this might not be too far fetched. That being said, I won't hold my breath that it would be better than the recent Fallout 4 overhaul 😂
The chicken-clucking sing-song "Buck-buck-BUCKIIIIIT" gives me a rage aneurysm every time I hear it. I don't know why, but I believe it's because it's so unnecessary and jarring. I've started just turning the radio off any time I hear that song start. I can handle the repeats, the constant jabbering, the lack of variety... But that's where I draw the line.
My wife was annoyed at the repetition almost immediately.
They keep dropping all these items in the shop, but I'd save up an ungodly number of atoms for a new radio station.
If i was to make an educated guess, it is because song license cost them money they do not want to spend. So the radio will most likely not be updated any time soon.
You might find this thread useful. They discuss and link to mods, fallout music yt and other ways to increase variety. [https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/1cbs81p/i\_think\_the\_radio\_needs\_new\_songs/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/1cbs81p/i_think_the_radio_needs_new_songs/)
This makes me think they could at least hire the voice actor to come back and do some more intros and song breaks. I mean the classic rock stations still play Ozzy and Led Zepplin, but the DJ is usually entertaining.
Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to update those files.
I wish they'd bring some songs from Fallout 4 over to Fallout 76. I don't listen to the radio often in Fallout 4, bc it's the same couple songs over and over. Fallout 4 had so many more and better songs. I started listening to the classical radio station and it's actually really neat to explore the wasteland to flight of the bumblebee, it's like the best background music for me now
The loss of The End of the World in my jump from FO4 to 76 has been heartbreaking. One of my favorite songs ever. Single-handedly the reason I stuck with FO4 after getting stuck in it.
With the new Tiki Radio from the Seasons Rewards, I just listen to beach music on a loop at my CAMP, and that gets old real quick lol. I think the loop is only 2 minutes long.
Give us a Julie quest to get more holotapes for her station that adds music. Heck even put a few in the atom store we can unlock to help pay for the update! I feel like us meeting Julie and doing a quest to save her brother’s family is long overdue.
Don’t sleep on the Classical Radio. It might not be everyone’s thing but running around punching things to death in power armor while Flight of the Bumblebee plays is never not fun
It may be a similar problem I see with putting my iphone on random or shuffle. I have over 12,000 songs but it will still only play like 50 of the same ones over and over. And sometimes will play them really close together.
For those of you playing on PC here are 2 really great Radio replacement mods. The first one replaces Appalachia radio, and the second the Classical station. 100% recommend, wayyyy better than the default stations.
[More Where That Came From - Radio Mod With DJ Included](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/126)
[Storm Radio (Classic Radio Replacer)](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/423)
It feels like they removed a bunch of songs I liked from FO4, added a handful of songs that I like, then added a dozen songs I can’t stand. And the songs I can’t stand easily play 3x more than any of the songs that I like.
Nothing’s worse than listening to a song you hate, listen to Julie go on the same tangent you’ve heard hundreds of times at this point for what feels like 5 minutes, just to play another song that you hate 😐
I agree, it's badly in need of an update. Pirate Radio is good for a break, but gets repetitive once you've heard all the radio plays.
I have no idea how licensing works, but surely if they already have the license for all the songs in the other Fallout games, they could just add them to 76. That would massively increase the variety
I think they lost some songs on 76 and fo4 pc version. Originally played 4 on ps4 and now replaying the game. Def not the same 4 hour playlist as the original. More like 1.5 hours of music now. And it’s all the same songs as 76 sans country roads. Maybe it was a licensing issue? Weird though considering most of the songs are probably public domain by now.
Why hasn't this been greatly expanded since release? Surely we'd love some more public domain songs added.
But by far what annoys me more is that Jute Box Classical bit that plays, I can't hack it anymore, removed in from my base because it starts up again on its own and shut it off at others. Why doesn't this have a lot more variety to?
I haven't heard Uranium/Atom Bomb Baby in months...but ive heard I Didn't Know The Gun Was Loaded probably 500 million times. Im tired of it, and have resorted to just playing diamond city radio on youtube while i play.
In BETA the radio had more music. "Swingin' on a Star" was arguably the best on the whole soundtrack, and for some reason it was removed after BETA. I have been quietly outraged ever since. Bring back what was taken out after BETA, have Julie tragically die, and turn over the radio to someone with a quest line and a personality. Please.
>When I hear Julie say “Now, listeners, you know I don’t like talking about myself often but…” I just switch the radio off and go with ambient music.
ugh it triggers my fucking fight or flight. It's such generic out of touch corpo speak that it feels like she's going to give a speech about how "we understand that times are tough due to covid19 lockdowns" or some shit.
My headcanon is the radio host is long dead and the radio is just on a bad shuffle mechanism.
The actual reason for repetition is probably the actual bad shuffle algorithm used by the game.
The reason they don't add songs is likely due to it being low priority even if it were on a request board; not as monetizable as features they do release. Putting more songs behind seasons or atom shop would make them look pretty bad, and extra songs are less likely to bring more people or retain existing people compared to new places to visit, etc.
Listen round friends while old man Dylan tells you the tale of 76 at launch. There was no Julie. You just walked around listening to all 50s music for hours on end in the wasteland. It was glorious. I would do anything to let us to toggle her on and off
Someday, Fallout 5 will come out, and you’ll switch on its new radio station and the first track that’s hits… “HEY EVERYBODY, DID THE NEWS GET AROUND BOUT A GUY NAMED BUTCHER PETE!?”
They should have a quest where you help the radio host find new music, and each record is protected by a super hard boss that triggers an event for the map 🤩
Idk there’s loads of songs on Appalachia radio imo. It’s the voiced segments that get very stale, I wish they’d record more lines or add a secondary presenter at night or something
There's a mod called Storm Radio that replaces the classical radio with some great music, some of them from fallout 4, you should give it a try!
I had the same problem with the Appalachia radio, too repetitive and once there's a music you dislike, you can be sure you'll hear it every 10 min.
There's a song in which the singer starts screaming cities names and my god is it irritating to listen to, I had to turn off the radio every time.
Then I found the mod and it's clearly the best one I decided to install! I don't know most of the songs but they all sound good and appropriate to the atmosphere, it's a nice breaze of fresh air!
i love that mod, never used the radio for the reasons OP mentioned but i listen to Storm Radio all the time. It even has lore friendly commercials for fallout products like buffout, wonderglue etc it's absolutely insane how much love went into that mod
Yeah, I don't understand the radio. I played for about 3 hours last night. Didn't hear country roads, ring of fire, or civilization a single time but, I heard Maybe by the ink spots 3 times
Hot take the radio is fine but when you play for hundreds of hours even 49 songs get old. I have this problem in every game with non-ambient music
Forza Horizon games, Cyberpunk, all the Fallouts.
If you want to see a real lack of variety and imagination then compare the track lists of the classical stations in all of those games. Danse Macabre anyone? Well too bad you're gonna hear it!
What a lot of people don’t realize is that the real [Fo76 endgame is to curate and perfect your personal Fallout radio station.](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3BqQ4kGEatqTYZtK9FDONV?si=i3Gr598XRheN02V1wL8L4A&pi=u-8RT1qh0JSACT)
Does anyone else get the glitch where Julie just repeats her same lines any time you pass a world radio that happens to be playing? Because I can't finish a song without her interrupting it to say the same thing 14 times, but NOBODY else ever talks about this glitch and it's driving me crazy.
I enjoy listening to pirate radio and want them to add more radio plays of R.I.P. Daring, A Better Life Under Ground, and Zorbo.
I agree they really should update the radio with more songs.
Luckily for me, I really like Tennessee Ernie Ford, but he definitely has more than two songs.
I wish they'd concoct some sort of licensing deal to link a Spotify account, or something, and just stream whatever you want. Or just add more songs. The 1950s are a bottomless pit of catchy country, folk and early rock tunes and I have to imagine it's all super cheap to license.
I agree. I'm not sure if I've just spent so much time playing 76 but Julie and the music is just getting to be so repetitive. I wish they'd add some more songs or bring the voice actor back to record some more lines to keep it fresh because she's starting to drive me crazy
I agree - I love the radio in 3, 4, and NV so much, so for me, this is the biggest disappointment in 76. Pirate Radio is pretty fun sometimes to check in on though - it does get updated occasionally. But even it gets old after a week. I usually just let the Classical station play or listen to Spotify or YouTube in the background.
You know when you’re trying to fall asleep but a song is stuck in your head? That’s the “I didn’t know the gun was loaded” song for me. Anyway there a lot of really great fallout playlists on Spotify!
For me it's he's hackin and wackin and smackin...choppin that meat 🤣🤣
I liked it at first, but I'm sick of Butcher Pete. I will actually go out of my way to shut off a nearby radio if it's playing.
Me too it gets on my nerves bc it's always stuck in my head. I turn it off every time
y'all just mad that Butcher Pete been fuckin all y'all wives.
Pete don't care who's meat he chops 🤣🤣
Single women, married women, old maids and all
My favorite part: The police put Pete in jail Yes, he finally met his faith But when they came to pay his bail They found him choppin' up his cell mate 🤣
He loves that meat!
They don’t play it in fallout to the best of my memory but there’s a part 2
I've been hearing it since FALLOUT 3, MAKE IT STOP
You'd hate my camp. Radios in every room
Riders of the storm for me. Yippee I Ohhh!
The worst part about butcher Pete is that only part one is played
He says flip this record you ain't heard nothing yet...but they don't have the second part 😔
Butcher Pete sure loves that meat, anyway here’s ‘ants in your pants’
5x5 over here
He's five feet tall and five feet wide...
Lay that pistol down, boy, lay that pistol down...
Bingo bango bongo I dont want to leave the congo no no no nooo
The world has gone mad today, and good’s bad today
He kicked the bu-bu-buKET!
Praaaise the Looord, and pass the ammunition!
You can stop driving nails in your coffin.
Wouldn’t it be nice
I think it’s babe? Not boy.
mine is "buck buck bucket" they really do need more songs in game lol.
I can’t stand that song because of her dumb chicken impression also it sounds like she’s saying fuck fuck fuck it
She is! It was the first recorded song to use the word “fuck”.
Bongo bongo bongo
This song haunts me day and night. I want to move to the Congo.
It’s “Ohhhh Shenandooooooah” for me 😂
I actually like that song because it feels like a palate cleanser to all the other "catch" songs haha
I turn my radio up for that one. It perfectly captures the emptiness and melancholy of the wasteland. Top 3 for sure i even listen to it in the car now 😅
Its Butcher Pete for me
Atom bomb baby lil atom bomb I want her in my wigwam She’s just the wayyy I wannner to be A million times hotter’n tnt.
Country roads, take me hoooome to the place I beloooong. West Virginia, mountain mama. 247! Baby!
For me, it's "Because a good maaan is hard to find. You always get the other kind"
I CANT DANCE, I GOT ANTS IN MY PANTS.
BONGO BONGO BONGO I DONT WANNA LEAVE THE CONGO
“I didn’t build Appalachia Radio, it doesn’t belong to me” 😑
“I’m only 23”
YOU'VE BEEN 23 FOR 4 YEARS
Maybe she’s dead and it’s just a randomized looping of recordings she made. 🤷♂️
I think that's the running theory. Considering there doesn't seem to be an actual radio tower.
I'd believe it, Bethesda doesn't ever make a mistake like that with their radio stations, they always add some location to match it
Julie is a MODUS psyop.
She could be a ghoul or a robot head. 🤷♀️
Theres actually something like that in West Virginia on J104.5 radio station. Kitt Krattick in the morning is what its called. Dude had the show for years and after he died they just replay all his earlier shows. Its still going to this day. Him talking in between songs and all
“When I heard people were coming back to Appalachia” (I proceed to blow myself up to spare hearing her one more time.)
My blood pressure went up just reading that
Ahahaha. Like… WE GET IT! I’ve heard you say it a THOUSAND TIMES!
this is what makes me become a toxic gamer, for the duration of her mumbling at least.
And it gets me every time.,,. Every time!
Now I remember why I haven’t put the in game radio back on for ages lmao. Also I miss how it was when the game started - banger after banger and because there were no NPCs we didn’t have Julie’s life story every 30 seconds! Was at Nuka World yesterday... there was a cool jingle for the thing... why isn't that up as an ad on the radio station?
I think Pirate Radio has all that. Pirate Radio is best radio
I haaate when she basically says she saved the radio station. "If it weren't for me, you'd be listening to this song over and over again forever!". That song always cracks me up thanks to [this scene](https://youtu.be/j73gYxsxRrs?feature=shared)
Oh my God thank you for connecting these two things
It's all I think of too
That's my favorite scene. I always want to rewatch Venture Brothers when I hear that track.
They play Jupiter later on after the Hive crashes and everyone comes together too.
in one of the Heinlein books, the Martians are demanding stateship from like the future UN and when they enter, they've selected MARS, THE BRINGER OF WAR as their anthem, and it scares the crap out of the waiting officials

Mars is the basis for the music during Death Star battle on the first Star Wars movie.
Classical is amazing. I listen to different stations based on my build. I still use Appalachia for my heavy gun build, but I’ve switched to Classical for stealth/sniper build. It’s been awesome.
It's "Hall of the Mountain King" for me. It's the perfect build-up to whatever you are doing.
I started using the classical too. It's much nicer than listening to Julie the twit repeatedly saying the same lines. I like the songs on Appalachia radio but I could do without her voice.
Classical radio makes the game feel different. More serious and sad. I dig it sometimes.
Only true bangers on classical radio
I listen to the classical station mostly. It's so perfect, I love to run through the wasteland in a killing frenzy with Beethovens concerto playing in the background. 🤣
Wait, does the classical radio actually play different music based on what you're doing?
No, but murdering to classical is quite great
A bit of the old, Ultra Violence…
Viddy this me droogy-woogies…
Julie: "*I'm not saying you all owe me, but when I got here the equipment was days away from breaking down. You were all saved from hearing this song, and only this song, repeating endlessly forever.*" Julie you had one job.
Now we get to listen to her ramble endlessly

Great share, thank you
Didn't 3 have a quest to find records for the station? Why isn't that a thing? Whole new line of quests right there. Or, there are instruments, a new wasteland music star, song, genre, something

Make a new radio that's only accessible after you finish the quest. Quest line could be helping some new guy set up a radio station cus it was his life long dream
There's that one Raider follower that literally has this dream, they could do it for him!
There's a workaround, they could make it an event that spawns a radio signal when you complete it successfully, very similar to how the Sons of Dane Automated signal always shows up when that event becomes available.
Have it be a event and the new songs get added at the end of the week.

Hell they could even add static radios or music boxes fairly easily, but fo76 has introduced microtransactions so if they add it I bet it won't be free despite it being a simple block of code that they very likely already have from another game.
There is no such quest in 3. Would be cool though.
Ooh ooh what if we get into the studio where it’s broadcast and cut a record of “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow”???
Yea, and have there be three environmental storytelling skeletons wearing prison outfits!
The Ballad of the Green Beret needs to be one. It's a somewhat obscure reference, but some of you will understand.
Also on 4 there is a quest for Travis called confidence man. It actually unlocks extra songs for the radio and he gets different lines and… sounds more confident after you complete the quest.
i hate confident travis though
WHY DO THESE OBJECTS KEEP MOVING??
>launch fallout 4 >open console >set radiodctravisconfident to 0 Now I can enjoy the game
I honestly like the Appalachia radio and I always keep it on, despite the lack of variety Of song choices I still enjoy it whenever I’m running expos or events.
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of music variety. FO4 did good with that... or maybe it was the quality of the music?
Diamond City Radio is a masterpiece. I have grown to love several Appalachia songs but as a whole, there’s no comparison
To my mind, Appalachia is best enjoyed with the ambient music, which continually updates almost every single time we have a new major update without failure. There’s also pirate radio, if you want some radio plays, weirder songs and advertisements.
My disappointment in Appalachia radio is inversely proportionate to my love of Pirate radio
Can you add a few audio segments of you yapping about how you fixed up the playlist after you found it?
And add it in every 3 songs
Fantastic playlist, thank you for sharing.
Playlist brought some fuckin tears to my eyes man this shit is amazing 😂 love the entire selection
I just want them to turn that record over, i ain't heard nothing yet!
What they lack in song variety, they make up with "Take me hoooome, country rooooads, to the plaaaace, I beloooong..." imo
idk how but I honestly never hear country roads anymore 💔
I went two days without hearing it and I was playing for like five or six hours both days
Of only they ACTUALLY PLAYED THAT ONE. But no I get to listen to Butcher Pete again
What I hate is that they don't fucking have part 2 of the song in
I thought they did have part 2? I could've sworn I've heard it at least once but it could be me. Edit: I just looked. It's only in fallout 4. And I've been playing that at work during my lunches.
Theres a part 2??
“Turn this record over, you ain’t heard nothin’ yet”
Better than Johnny Guitar *new vegas flashbacks intensify*
I don't hate their version of the song...but if I'm going to be forced to listen to it a million times *at least* make it the John Denver version
Well that's why I listen to Pirate Radio nowadays, even the stories will start looping after you've played for an hour. The stories are hilarious, and no boring toons.
it's because unlike any past fallout the radio is randomly generated from chunks. so sometimes you'll get like.. 2 songs over and over back to back when the RNG engine has a brain fart yeah they need to code it that if something has been used in the last hour it's removed from rotation but still..

PLAY IT AGAIN MY JOHNNY
Agree. You can only listen to Old Man Mose kicking the bucket (fuck-fuck-fuckit) so many times before it gets irritating.
My brain sang the fuck fuck fuckit and now it’s stuck in my head, womp.
I’m glad someone else in this world feels the way I do about this.
My wife was annoyed at the repetition almost immediately. They keep dropping all these items in the shop, but I'd save up an ungodly number of atoms for a new radio station.
I actually keep Pirate Radio on the entire time unless I wanna listen to one of my podcasts.
If i was to make an educated guess, it is because song license cost them money they do not want to spend. So the radio will most likely not be updated any time soon.
Apparently you don’t remember how much mr new vegas liked Johnny guitar…
I miss Three Dog.
I miss Mr.new vegas
Awooo. :/
You might find this thread useful. They discuss and link to mods, fallout music yt and other ways to increase variety. [https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/1cbs81p/i\_think\_the\_radio\_needs\_new\_songs/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/1cbs81p/i_think_the_radio_needs_new_songs/)
This makes me think they could at least hire the voice actor to come back and do some more intros and song breaks. I mean the classic rock stations still play Ozzy and Led Zepplin, but the DJ is usually entertaining. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to update those files.
Sixteen tons.. more like Sixteen Fucking Times in a Row
PIRATE RADIO FTW ‼️‼️‼️🏴☠️🦜🏴☠️☠️ FANCY LAD'S THE BEST IN TOWN, FANCY LAD REALLY GETS AROUND ‼️‼️🎙️📻☢️🏴☠️🕺🕺
This is why i have a Fallout playlist playing on Spotify in the background. Can recommend.
I think 76 has one of the best radios, and I'm not a fan of Julie but she's way better than Travis imo
Give us a Julie quest to get more holotapes for her station that adds music. Heck even put a few in the atom store we can unlock to help pay for the update! I feel like us meeting Julie and doing a quest to save her brother’s family is long overdue.
Murdering west tec to the beach Boys is pretty great, but yeah. They could use more music.
The algorithm gets stuck on a mop that has fallen over.
She died years ago but recorded what we listen to for hope in the future.
For those of you playing on PC here are 2 really great Radio replacement mods. The first one replaces Appalachia radio, and the second the Classical station. 100% recommend, wayyyy better than the default stations. [More Where That Came From - Radio Mod With DJ Included](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/126) [Storm Radio (Classic Radio Replacer)](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/423)
If it's got you down, you should 🎶whOOOOoooooOOoooaaa get high🎶 But I completely agree with you. Pirate radio is pretty amusing
It sounds like someone slapping dong in the beginning of Mr sandman
Any other folks prefer the quiet? I have all music volume turned off. Never listen to the radio. When I find a radio in the ruins, I turn it off.
Maybe they need to make a special event where you can actually talk to her and go fetch some new records. 🤷♂️
Julie has been 23 years old for almost 7 years
Why hasn't this been greatly expanded since release? Surely we'd love some more public domain songs added. But by far what annoys me more is that Jute Box Classical bit that plays, I can't hack it anymore, removed in from my base because it starts up again on its own and shut it off at others. Why doesn't this have a lot more variety to?
I'm just mad that "Great Long Pistol" and especially fucking "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds" got CUT AFTER BETA WHY THESE SLAP
Putting more songs behind seasons or atom shop would make them look pretty bad, and extra songs are less likely to bring more people or retain existing people compared to new places to visit, etc.
i hate fallout 4’s radio, bro made me anxious listening to him. julie is charming, deserves more lines tbh
Pirate radio is vastly superior. Pretty much the same problem but exciting tales of the adventures of rip daring never get old.
I have this problem in every game with non-ambient music Forza Horizon games, Cyberpunk, all the Fallouts. If you want to see a real lack of variety and imagination then compare the track lists of the classical stations in all of those games. Danse Macabre anyone? Well too bad you're gonna hear it!
Pirate radio all day everyday
Get Spotify and the search fo76 soundtracks.. I. Think I read someone has one that is 6 hours long.
“Same song three times in 30 minutes” sounds pretty realistic to me, at least that’s how it seemed the last time I listened to the radio! Lol
Straighten up and fly right🐒
I enjoy listening to pirate radio and want them to add more radio plays of R.I.P.
The radio talk sucks, but the music is excellent.
Yeah I got sick of it too, now I just put on Jerma highlights as background noise.
I use a Playlist on spotify that's a compilation of music from all the games, works better for me usually

The world has gone mad today…
I agree - I love the radio in 3, 4, and NV so much, so for me, this is the biggest disappointment in 76. Pirate Radio is pretty fun sometimes to check in on though - it does get updated occasionally. But even it gets old after a week. I usually just let the Classical station play or listen to Spotify or YouTube in the background.
The only song I think I actually enjoy now is “don’t fence me in”. Every other song just annoys me and Julie herself is quite annoying as well
