STEALFONAM

My stash cant fit anymore legendary.

WhyKillFeed

Understandable response

i81u812

Legit this issue is so maddening i feel like it's built in to prevent you from otherwise getting lost in the world and never leaving. I love this event in particular.

gfg6179

I participate in hopes of landing a 3 star white whale, which of course never happens, but it's fun hoping to. I just drop the junk legendary for someone with more capacity. The event is great for xp too.

matticusphoenix

I go every time I see it

Late-Recognition-225

I’m usually the first one there lol. I love that event.

goodwithsalt

I always play, and I always leave severely overloaded

matticusphoenix

I have a permanent survival tent located there these days

WhyKillFeed

Same here, but in a food way

bukitbukit

They should place a legendary exchange machine at Foundation. People would be more inclined to participate.

WhyKillFeed

Dont all scrip machines share the same 300 scrip? When does scrip reload for you again? Is it like a week?

bukitbukit

Well it’s easier to waddle over to Foundation for us hoarders. 😂

10sameold

910/340 checking in. It do be like that.

gerr137

Geesh, week, don't say scary things. Daily, and even that causes many people drop bunch of low level legendaries after many events :). ( And still takes ages to collect enough scrip to have sensible chances to roll anything)

i81u812

That's ok i played 2 or so years back and accumulated so many 'Treasury notes' before i determined their use. Iv'e cached in at least 3-4kk and have - 200 something left. I have been playing again 1.5 months and hand them in daily. Was able to buy all hellcat stuff and w/e i didn't know about. And have more remaining. It's a horrible system.

m2hit

I believe Scrip (and caps) reset every 20 hours. I start both timers every morning around 6am local time by going to Watoga or R&G Station and scripping a legendary and selling something.

EseJandro

When people start dropping in they run straight for the crater starting the timer. then proceed to fail it because they won't wait for anybody else.

WhyKillFeed

This one does make sense i have seen this

gerr137

Yup, this. I try to join, but many times if I am doing anything remotely sensible, i often go "meh, most likely gonna be another failed event, better keep on doing whatever i am on" (70+ level, and yet to get through even a 3rd of a single quest line :) )

slywether85

Guaranteed too much scrip for standing there. Sometimes I just don't want to deal with it.

BgBdWlf408

My guess would be it's because of what happens if the rad scrubber needs repairing. Instant death to everyone except people in power armor. Even my rad-sucking ghoul can't take it for long. Why the hell would anyone want to live in a bomb crater anyway?

gerr137

As others pointed out before, it's not the crater, it's what under that crater that they are trying to dig out (what, you though those sneaky settlers tell you everything?). There's a reason that bomb was dropped on that specific place you know..

Hattkake

*Those places. There's another impact crater below the EN site on the Cranberry Bog side. My assumption is that the lower crater could maybe be some alternative entrance into whatever underground military complex is below the EN site.

gerr137

Ah, that idea - everyone automatically assumes that there is another silo r some other basic military complex underneath. I am not so sure :). Look at the area - there are like 3 intact silos that we officially know of just in that small corner of the world. The have not been hit not for the lack of nukes - these are essentially infinite. Not just us launching them like hourly in every server (so yeah, Ok, lets pretend its just 1 world, still, basically hourly launches, if not more frequent). Its the official lore too that nukes are made as needed. There is some holotape near one of those silos (forgot which one) that explicitly mentions the automated nuke production factory inside. All those relays and other places, still intact too, so not for the lack of nukes or having to prioritize targets. No, there's gotta be something way more important or valuable down there ;). Good catch for the alt entrance. Strengthens the evidence too actually :) (of something more important there).

Hattkake

My assumption is that whatever was at the EN site had to do with FEV rather than nukes. The EN site before it was the EN site was the remains of some kind of military installation. There is an apc that is flipped on it's side and there used to be the remains of a guard post but this has now been worked into the foundation of one of the structures so it is less visible as a guard post. Then there is the location itself. Having the EN site be a military installation makes sense in regard to the Huntersville incident. Huntersville is sandwiched between this location at the south and West Tec at the north, something that I assume is a factor in choosing Huntersville as a test location for creating Super mutants as with those two locations you can effectively shut down the whole town. Also. The super mutants. The super mutants are extremely protective of locations they deem as theirs. They claim Huntersville, West Tec and this crater. Why would the super mutants be this protective of a random crater unless it had some kind of meaning to them? There's something more to the location. What that is noone knows. So far. But there is definitely more to that location than what is evident on the surface.

gerr137

Re: potential FEV site - might be. This was my idea too, but I did not play fo76 long enough to have enough supporting evidence. But I think you are onto something there. Funny, I think it was just yesterday or day before that I was 1st time through the Huntsville and read all those notes/holos and terminal entries, giving that story - that was definitely the proto-FEV test site. So, quite possibly the nearby nuked location hides the FEV development grounds, one of at least.. Another thing - somehow FV and extreme radiation seem to be linked (extreme even by fo standards). That vault in fo3 was the most irradiated area in the game. You could not even reach the entrance in PA with full RR, had to take detour.. Sure, nothing is known for sure, as Bethseda did not even develop that content yet, pretty sure of it. But that makes for one tasty mystery :). I just hope they do not screw it up..

Hattkake

The main civilian FEV site is West Tec, to the north of Huntersville. It is not unreasonable to assume that there would be a military counterpart nearby. All signs I have found points to the EN site being that military counterpart. Also. It's interesting to note that the lower crater has no radiation. This could mean that the lower crater was hit by a missile with a different warhead. Or that the upper missile hit "something" that released all the radiation. Whatever the case these two craters are the only visible remains of the Great War. And seeing as there are missile silos in Appalachia choosing these two targets over any of the other military installations in Appalachia says something. What that "something" is noone knows. Yet.

gerr137

Re hitting something - my thought exactly. Compare again with that vault entrance in fo3, same situation - alternative entries less radiated. Also, there are plenty of other craters. Heck, one is even inhabited by raiders. Also, from dropping nukes we know the fallout zone doesn't stay irradiated for long - few RL hours, so, let's say few in- game days. Which, in fact, is reasonable for RL fallout - sure, it doesn't clear completely for rather long time, but after a week or so you are not at risk of immediate acute rad poisoning. Rad levels drop >1000x in just a few days. Yet these two places heavily irradiated years later, but not anything else. It's as if FEV production requires some super-reactor or, more likely, stable isotopes in huge amounts. Which may in fact be just the thing, the secret of FEV production :)

gerr137

All of this, btw, implies that it was not Chinese who nuked this site (and by extension that fo3 vault either). Which heavily supports that theory about nuke exchange will having been initiated by 3rd party. Vault- Tek being the most cited culprit behind orchestrating it all. However notice how many VT assets are actually destroyed. Heck, all the VT higher ups are gone. And no, they don't seem to be hiding in some bunker to come out and rule them all later. That's enclave:). No, the don't just not appear in 200+ years even once, we have multiple VT HQ sites in ruins with bodies all over. They seem to be properly dead. Not something you'd expect. Also quite convenient to place the blame, don't you think? :) I hereby propose an existence or involvement of a 4th party, that actually tricked US and Chinese nuke exchange and dropped some ordonnance on VT sites in a process. Not all of it nukes, if any - most VT sites, like HQ and other offices, are just in ruins with bodies all over. It's as if someone raided VT locations for some info then made it look like it was destroyed to put the blame on them.

gerr137

Actually, scratch that about VT involvement. The more I think about it, the less them being involved in nuke drop makes sense. Sure they took liberties while building those vaults to set up all those experimental programs. But in-lore it is established it was some higher-ups pushing for it, with many actual workers even resigning when they would learn more. And I never saw any mention of VT having access to nukes or any extraordinary military hardware (turrets and militarized robots of all sorts were commonplace). Looks more like they have never been a 3rd party, that actually suggested 4th party was the 3rd. It tried to grab VT data and then make them look a likely candidate to blame. I don't know enough lore to make any sensible suggestions here. But I seem to recall some enclave insiders or links with VT higher-ups? It would make sense for some CO of VT to try some enclave-related power grab on a personal level, using company assets to improve his standings and trying to burry the ends in the process. But, as i said, i don't know nearly enough lore to make an intelligent suggestion.

chaoskillingme

it's usually been popular when i've played. once a server was dying, and there were only 6 of us in the world, mostly low level, so nobody showed up to that one once i had to hold the line for a while while people were still busy with the scorchbeast queen but apart from that, it's been a very active event

Leading-Lab-4446

I went to Eviction notice today and noone came. Was very strange since its one of the go-to events.

[deleted]

It really depends of time of the day, of few hours night and they their will be fewer people logged in and if those few are newbies or CAMP builders your going to be Soloing the event. It's not that hard if you're prepared.

SteelyGlintTheFirst

I don't avoid it but I would hazard a guess that others do due to selfish legacy EGP arseholes ruining it by killing everything before others can tag while, simultaneously, not bothering to repair the rad scrubber or shoot the meat bags.

matticusphoenix

The second part is the kicker. It's like they think it is a menial task and beneath them

SteelyGlintTheFirst

That's the pathetic, immature, self-centred mindset for you...

matticusphoenix

I call 'em as I sees 'em

MadMorf

I like eviction notice. I show up every chance I get. Moonshine Jamboree as well.

fenriq

I'd bet with the current season winding down, lots of players are taking a bit of a break before NWOT hits. I guess I've been lucky and had good numbers at events lately except a Mama Dolce's that was fun to run solo on my low level.

Grouchy_Platform_664

I'll do it if there's a decent crowd but I won't bother because I know I couldn't solo it. My toons are reasonably strong but that's a lot of really tanky mutants and more radiation than a nuke zone. Not really any point in picking an unwinnable fight on the off chance help MIGHT show up. Good loot doesn't do me any good if I get bodies before I can get any of it.

Fanwhip

Its mostly due to the BS about Script limits. Most folks do that for legendarys to scrap. And some just used up stash space to hold them. Its also annoying to do if someone starts to soon and then the scrubber breaks.. as short of folks covering the repairer. Fixing it can be impossible.

WhyKillFeed

Why tf is there a scrip limit? And when does it reset? Every week?

psychoman1128

They don't want people rolling legendary weapons endlessly because they think if people get their dream gear they'll stop playing as they have no reason to grind. Scrip/vendor caps/bullion reset after 20 hours

Fanwhip

Daily. 300 scrip every 20 hours. (give or take based on time zone and any updates to severs) the major issue is 1/2/3 Star ones vary on how much you get based the type of armor sold. Some only keep certain ones so they always get the max limit every time.

Life1989

Full stash

SaintsBruv

When did this happen? I've noticed that in the last week, a good chunk of players are avoiding a lot of the 'major' events. I just assumed it's because they were taking a game break (still playing but avoiding events where you gotta waste ammo and aid) and/or preparing for the update, so these preparations are more important than the events.

SpartanFire71

I wonder (and may be completely wrong) if it's how it seems the most legendary mutants spawn at the bottom, but to complete (or at leat protect the rad scrubber) the top needs to stay secure. Those focused on the top miss out on several legendary spawns at the bottom. As stated, I may be completely wrong. Just seems the legendary spawns (as far as numbers) are not balanced. I (bloodied commando) originally played up top, then discovered the bottom benefits to be way more legendary spawns. There was one recent event where I had to go up top to give chance of completion as most farmed the bottom legendary spawns. Way fewer legendary items as a result. Small sample size, but my results. My theory is that the players that actually are needed to protect the scrubber may just say f-it because of the legendary spawn location. The catch 22 is if the bottom legendary spawns are reduced, many may not show up; however, increasing the top legendary spawn rate could bring in more to keep that area secure.

hopknockious

I never ever avoid it. 10:25PM when I plan to go to bed at 10:30. Already near max weight with my Excavator +Calib shocks. Sees notification and joins anyway

TheGadget1945

On PC it always seems to have the whole server there.

yourrealdad6988

I think most of us look for that event more then all others.

ualeftie

The only thought an empty EN gives me is “this world is dead, gotta hop the f outta here”. I adore EN.

Equal_Statement_1214

I go if I'm in power armor, and have enough ammo. Otherwise it's just a waste of time.

akarnokd

With legacies around, it's pointless. Most legendaries are out of range. Without legacies, it is waste of ammo and not fun getting overwhelmed and repairing the scrubber every 10 seconds.

WhyKillFeed

Can you explain what legacy’s are

akarnokd

In this context, energy weapons (e.g., Gatling Plasma) that have explosive effects that can destroy even the toughest enemies in milliseconds. Their area effect wipes out all things which often prevents others from tagging them. In broader terms, anything that can no longer drop as loot from mobs or get as rewards because Beth disabled them. 95% of them are novelty items and have no negative gameplay consequence for others.

WhyKillFeed

Can you explain what legacy’s are?

IAlwaysSin

Stash full already. And no one repairs the rad scrubber.

[deleted]

LoL, why don't you do it.

IAlwaysSin

LOL. I do. I switch to my SS and fix it. ☺️

[deleted]

Then someone is repairing the rad scrubber, what's the problem.

DarkRedCape

Avoid it? I’ve never even seen it! I’ve been playing on off since launch and I have the outpost discovered, but it never pops up in the word activity panel.

10sameold

EN, RR, MJ could be the top 3 for farming legendaries, XP and vendables EN actually needs some level of coordination, not just 5 high levels in the bottom waiting for legendary muties. It's not always a success and that's the best part :) Pro tip - once you're done area looting, understandably in several spots to cover more area, please take a minute to walk around from body to body, b/c there *will* be some legendaries left. They just don't show in the big ass list of dropped miniguns, slurry or radiated blood. Seriously, give it a try - check each dead critter individualy. Not that EN gives too few stuf, no, but if you want to max out daily scrip in one go, then this is the way.

mdbarberuk

I think that is the loot all function hitting some kind of wall or limit, or maybe just lagg not sure. i have sometimes hit the loot all, taken everything, then moved a few feet and been able to do it again with different legendaries showing up, happened at RR a couple of times as well.

Radiant-Bit-7722

Fear to fail

Pino2308

I wish to be able to trigger it

SnooMachines3

Your server must have been dead

riklaunim

It depends on the world. Sometimes there is a group and sometimes there isn't because for example given world doesn't have group members that are actively playing.

PraiseThePun81

I"m not level 50 yet, don't want to drag the team down.

Past-Adhesiveness150

Just go, wear PA. Try melee with a 3star saw.

Morchai

It's one of those events an inexperienced player can trigger too early and cause to fail, so I don't show up until I see enough dots on the map to know for sure that hasn't happened.

Katavva_Shoujo

I can only carry so much on my character and with only 300 script a day its not enough

vomder

It gets started to early, no one shoots the meatbags, no one repairs the scrubber, some players move further and further out in order to be the only one to get the legendary. Those are the typical reason why it's annoying with this event.

Snargockle

If I get there and see 10 folks on the ridge and none or just 1 in PA/hazmat suit I leave. I've completed the event like that but it's no fun without more help to fix the scrubber. If I see a EGP user, I leave.

Past-Adhesiveness150

Who avoids it? It's awesome. I tear that shit up.
