Tuna melt very underrated.
There was a hotel in Hawaii I stayed at one time that would bring you a tuna melt out on the beach, for a brief moment I thought I was in heaven.
So good. I was in Vietnam for 6 months and while I love Vietnamese food, I found a sandwich shop around the corner from my (outer suburbs) apartment. Proper western sandwiches, not that sweet bread. The tuna melt was amazing
Yeah, I'm not OP but when I make them I put the bread under the broiler with cheese on each slice, remove when melted, then add the tuna salad and other vegetables.

Why haven't I been adding pickle slices to my tuna melts... Also dill in a tuna melt/tuna sandwich is so obvious I'm mad I didn't think of it.
I like to mince the pickles and throw it in the tuna salad directly
We add dill relish to tuna but am definitely planning to also add pickles next time I make melts.
