I really love umami papi chilli oil. It’s not super hot but delicious. You can now get it at some Coles (in the deli section) Edit: it’s made in Melbourne

bugHunterSam

This, I have some and I bought it from the meat emporium in Alexandria. It’s amazing.

tragicdag

Umami Papi somehow manages to taste like it has chicken salt in it ... and I bloody love that about it.

rumckle

I've been eating Mama Liu's, they're Sydney based.

mulderitsme93

Seconding mama liu’s

Oh god I had no idea Melbourne Bushfoods was going into liquidation, how incredibly sad :( I don't know if this is the exact thing you're looking for, but Ugly Foods Crunchy Chilli Oil is amazing. See here: https://d8bf52-c7.myshopify.com/collections/chilli-oils I've only tried the standard one, I've only realised from that link that there's an extra spicy one!

Icy_Finger_6950

I was going to suggest that one. It's my crack, so good on anything.

samthemoron

To be fair, all oil should be liquidated

Glittering_Party4188

Ugly food also does amazing chilli honey !! They’re a bit pricy but so worth it- a little goes a long way !!

istara

Thanks for the tip - I'll try it! What do you mostly use it with, eg on toast or in recipes?

Glittering_Party4188

Bagels and toast are my favourites. Otherwise I also use it in cooking - sticky roast pork with a bit of a kick. Oh and glaze veggies (honey glaze potatoes and carrots but anything works here)

istara

Oh that sounds amazing. If they've got it in our IGA I'll grab some.

Sea-Question567

Chotto motto is really good. https://chillibom.com.au/products/chotto-motto-crispy-chilli-oil-200ml

train2clarksville

Seconded.

perpetual_stew

+1 on this. I’ve also found an extra spicy version at Thai Kee IGA in Haymarket.

ThrowRARAw

Try Olio Bello? They're from the Margaret River (WA) and all products are made on their grounds I believe. I bought a chilli oil from them a while back that was amazing. Hopefully they still sell it!

tsunamisurfer35

One jar of Unami Papi doesn't seem to last longer than 3 weeks in my household. I think I better look for wholesale deals. I will never buy a Made in China one after seeing Gutter Oil.

Chilli Bang Sauces

Reasonable-Charge368

2 sisters’ kitchen does a spanking good chilli oil! They have a shop in Waverley I believe but you can find them at Kings Cross markets on Saturdays and Marrickville organic markets on Sundays. Bonus points cause it’s delicious but the two owners are some of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet

justasmudgeonthemoon

Mr Cs chilli oil is banging and seriously spicy

gaaaaaaaaan

Six-Eyed Scorpion is delicious! The extra spicy one is great.

Chomblop

UmammiPapi is very nice and different - as you'd expect from the name extremely savoury

womerah

Honestly I mix the Sichuan chilli oil they sell at harris farm with crispy chilli Lao Gan Ma. It's damn good to my tastes

Ecstatic_Giraffe_219

Piña Potts Point chilli oil - the best / made in house

Charlotte_Russe

Try farmers market - there may be some stalls that sell condiments, that also make chilli oil? Can’t think of anything Australia, for a non Australian made recommendation, we really like S&B’s La Yu chili oil. It comes in a small bottle, almost like a perfume and a little dispenser.

weatherwaxing

I really like bomb ass chili oil https://hdfoods.com.au/products/baco

suspect_is_hatless

You can try [Soka Pantry's Chilli Oil](https://sokapantry.com.au/products/crunchy-chilli-oil)

darthjeeling

Geokoji sichuan chilli oil. This is THE best chilli oil me and my partner have had. Works with asian, italian, you name it this oil amplifies it to a 10/10 meal everytime. They're located in Byron Bay but they've dropped off the map. We're down to our last 2 bottles and desperate for more.

I bought one called chotto motto which was excellent..

FoodFiend2220

Poopadoodle chilli oil is amazing! So crispy and fragrant, Sydney based. https://www.instagram.com/itspoopadoodle

Ok_Chemistry_6387

Find a canva employee and ask them to get you some from their in house chef. Soooo goood.

littlesev

My husband makes really awesome ones and I often said he should bottle them. Sorry can’t be more of a help lol.

ajitama

I also make from home and love that it’s so simple but so tasty, and you can alter to suit what you like. OP if you’re willing to give it a go, could try https://youtu.be/omuoTY3T16w?si=yE8DuUNLirrEKIHs or there are plenty of other styles on YouTube

bishopanonymous

Umami Papi. You’re welcome.
