Power to you brother

TTVControlWarrior

if we all on Liverpool train . I beat Liverpool as Man U in the league with 9 players . won 3-2 . ya got 1 red card and 2nd player got injuered and i had no sub since it was pass 90s min . i scored 3rd goal on 94min to win

LostNowhereGood

Nice. We love to see it.

sdane_diop

In my case, during a UCL final. The ref gave 5 minutes of added time, I was 1 goal ahead. The ref blew his wistle after Liverpool equalized 11 minutes into added time. Fortunately I won the penalty shootout.

highgiant1985

Liverpools easy, come back once you've beaten Man City!

WilsonSpark

I’ve just won the prem in my second season at Chelsea… city knocked me out of the CL, Fa Cup and Carabao 😂

highgiant1985

Blackburn Rovers in my save and I can't win anything as Man City keep beating me when ever I come across them!

WilsonSpark

It’s painful… just managed to win the community shield on penalties. Some how bagged Yamal in the summer for £50m

LostNowhereGood

Hopefully I will very soon. But honestly I struggle with Liverpool more than anyone.

bay445

I hear you brother. The only tactic I’ve found to work is to out gegenpress them. And I can only do that when I’m the stronger team.

alolopoco

In my save they won pl 8x in a row, but went to no 9 in the league next season, guardiola got sacked at that season

Yuty0428

Funny enough I struggled against Liverpool much more than against City. In my first season in prem I won against Man City with a last minute goal from the striker who scored just one premier league goal in his career

Samarth_Vanparia

Yeah and I lost 10-1 to Liverpool in the UCL group stage match.

LostNowhereGood

Damn that's a rough loss. I hate them so much. They basically always score in the first 10 minutes without fail. In my victory they even did.

Negative-Associate90

Liverpool gegenpress alot so it's probably they get tired and carry on at the end?

LostNowhereGood

Any advice for countering their gengen press?

Negative-Associate90

Low tempo can help give time to think in pressing scenarios but not many people wanna tiki taka against liverpool way too attacking for some. You want a solid anti counter attack defenwe first and foremost though.

RealHumanBean89

I feel you on that last bit. Liverpool have been the bane of my first save so far, ending multiple cup runs on the way to the Prem. Now I’ve got the chance to start evening the playing field a bit, at least. When we get that first win against them it’s gonna hit like crack. I did take City to a draw in my first game against them, which is about as close to a win as I think I’m getting against them for a long while. Fuck you, Haaland. I’m sure you’re a nice bloke irl, but in game? Fuck you.

credsdit

I’m glad someone acknowledged that. I was drawn against Liverpool in the Europa league during my first season at West Ham. Within a week, they knocked me out of the Europa League and made top 6 impossible for me. In the next season, I did overload the midfield with an additional 8 to counter the press and it kinda worked though.

LostNowhereGood

It's like the game just gives them a 1-0 head start in the first ten minutes.

credsdit

And it’s always the folk Cody Gakpo at it, hate his face after the 7 goals they put against us

LostNowhereGood

And yeah Gakpo is the fucking worst.

credsdit

Kinda sad tho

LostNowhereGood

Yeah you can't say fuck all on reddit anymore, it used to be the last place on the Internet you could really let go.

LostNowhereGood

You just fucking replied you oxygen thief. Honestly I want my oxygen back now, you're blatantly stealing it from the world.

break2n

If by "in this game" you mean at football, then yeah I agree

LostNowhereGood

In FM or real life, fuck them both. It's not hard to hate them I'm a United fan!

ButWhichPandaAreYou

Now imagine you were trying to do it irl

PulsefireJinx

I beat Liverpool easily at home, but it's always a high scoring game. It's never a 1 nil, it's always 5-3 or something crazy. City away is the worst though. I'm 7 years in and still havent won there. Ederson pulls off wonder saves, I swear. Marcos Leonardo missed a point-blank shot, and I haven't forgiven him for it since.

LostNowhereGood

Marcos Leonardo is one of my star players too. Don't put him on penalties, he stepped up for a few and blew them. I'm in season 32/33 now and he's 29 years old. It's been a real struggle to fight off intrest him in but finally got him tied down to 2035. Hes a 4.5* Left Inside Forward valued £83m-£100m for me. Honestly his goals tallies could be a bit better but I've got others filling in the need. Who are you? Where have you played him? Have you gotten the best out of him so far? What was his highest scoring season? And yes of course, any of the so called "Big Six" are an absolute nightmare away from home. I really don't know how I'm ever going to win the league while those six chip away at my points tallies.

adarsahin

I matched with them for UCL semi in my 3rd season with Fenerbahçe. I underestimated our quality so used a fairly cautious tactic in first leg and got beaten 2-1 (scored our only goal after we switched back to our main plan). In the second leg we played our main game and won 2-1 but unfortunately knocked out in penalties. I just started my 6 season with Fenerbahçe and still waiting for a semi final after one R16 and QF in last 2 years. Got beaten by Arsenal and Newcastle. I guess in general Premier League teams are annoyingly strong.

LostNowhereGood

Yeah I hate drawing the big English teams in Europe. Away games against them are a nightmare. You're doing well with Fenerbahce to get to the latter stages though. All the best for the next opportunity you get!

adarsahin

They are big troubles if you get them in league stage of UCL and it’s away. But you gotta do your best. Thanks for your good wishes. We’re doing fine for now. Hopefully gonna be better this season.

LostNowhereGood

My Champions League, League Stage Draw feels kinda brutal. Atletico Madrid (H) Man Utd (A) AS Monaco (H) Crvena Zvezda (H) (Serbian team, must win) Inter Milan (A) Barcelona (H) I'm not exactly feeling too confident about making the automatic qualifying. Hopefully a couple of the home games help me make the play offs and I can squeeze through them.

adarsahin

My draw not much better as well: Juventus - H ( won 2-1) Man Utd -A Arsenal - H Sarajevo - A Atletico Madrid - H Chelsea - A Can’t remember last two rn. Juventus came from 3rd pot btw.

LostNowhereGood

Absolutely brutal mate. I did manage to be Atletico so that's something but then Man Utd hammered me. I assume these seeds are based on coefficience? It's going to take years to build up a decent one. UEFA are scumbags, basically rigging everything so the top teams have an easy passage. Nice win against Juventus, if you can get a few more points at home then beat Sarajevo you could be alright. Did you even tell me what team you were managing and the year?

adarsahin

I manage Fenerbahçe and I guess year is 2027 (FM23). English teams and their players are unrealistically good. But I am hopeful for top 8 finish. Let’s see how it goes.

LostNowhereGood

If I beat Monaco in this home game I'm hopeful of qualifying. And Barcelona might seen daunting but I've already beat them once in the Super Cup this season! Yeah, I know England is overpowered but I can't resist managing here, it's just the league I know best. At least I chose Everton as a rebuild project. In season one they have a - 5pts deduction. And they're perpetually in debt, already upto - £213,000,000 this season. So there's always a threat of administration hanging over me. Hope your CL campaign goes well. Feel free to keep me updated.

adarsahin

Thanks mate. Good luck on your save. Hope you can turn around the team financially.

rotating_pebble

Only time the ev would ever beat us

ZachMich

Congrats

Infimet

Hey man congrats! First season with Leeds, I beat them in the fa cup quarter finals, and this season I did the same in the semi's, granted only on penalties this time around!

LostNowhereGood

A win against Liverpool is a win against Liverpool. I don't care if it's penalties. I wouldn't care if it was an offside goal in the 110th minute! Getting them beat is all that matters!

BigEasyh

After a couple thousand hours of FM over the past few years, I won the Europa League for the very first time tonight playing as Liverpool in my journeyman save. I've won multiple conference leagues and Champions Leagues during my time playing FM. I don't even like Liverpool but I did an invincible treble with the Bordeaux I spent 6 years building up and decided it was time to continue the journey

KeviCharisma

I took a team from the 6th tier to the Prem and lost or drew to Liverpool literally 23 times in a row including FA cups and all that. They had the best GK in the world and every game he would make ridiculous saves and I couldn’t win. He finally retired and then I beat Liverpool and it was one of the biggest achievements of my save

LostNowhereGood

Seems like beating Liverpool is the biggest achievement you can have on this game. I wouldn't mind but it's not as if this was the best Liverpool team in recent years either. Hope they're nerfed a little bit for FM25 because right now it's just ridiculous.

ConfidentRonaldo007

I beat Liverpool in skybet league 1 as Plymouth in the EFL Cup used a 442 narrow

LostNowhereGood

You've gotta love it. Nothing better than scouse tears.

ConfidentRonaldo007

I lost in the next round against Spurs tho 2-1😭

Engineer_Jack

I won at Anfield against Liverpool… reserves in the Johnstones paint trophy (or whatever it is now)

Confident-Item-2298

Oh man .. it took me 4 years to take the league from man city , fuck them really

iAmExplirr

My biggest and best performance was absolutely schooling Man City in a title race with Liverpool (ironic). (This was also when I was fairly new to the game) We were a man down only 3 minutes in and we ended the game 1-0. More possession, more shots, more xG, more shots on target. I couldn’t believe it 🤣🤣 Worst thing about it was when it got to the end of the season and we still didn’t win the fucking league. 😭😭🙏

LostNowhereGood

Yeah taking the league off then isn't easy. Haaland is a menace and you need a striker who can compete with his numbers. Least you had the momentady satisfaction of schooling them.

Sweethoney_KJ

Up the Toffees!!!

LostNowhereGood

Well on our way to being a top club now. Champions League Football. 4/5* players all over the pitch. Upto 24th in European rankings. One minor (not minor really it's scaring the shit out of me) we're perpetually in £200m worth of debt and have been threatened with administration. We had a takeover but it seems the new guy had less money than the old guy. Need a champions league run for sure.

Throwathoughtaway

Power to you Brethren, I'll smoke to that, currently in a battle for first with them 2pts ahead they've got a game in hand beginner so started with United, Fm23 though

LostNowhereGood

Hope you get the job done mate. And I'll smoke a cigarette to that, I've quit the other unfortunately so smoke one for me.

Conscious_Low952

Beat Liverpool with Fulham 4-0 in 2024 thanks to my 2 wonderkids, i’d argue they’re a lot easier to beat than Southampton at times

blueberryZoot

Somehow managed to win all my games against them in my first season. They were just terrible, had absolutely no response. Now I'm my second, they just battered me 5-0 in a game where my backup keeper and star player both got injured, so I think they got their revenge.
