“… and now Max jumps out of his Red Bull and throws Charles from his Ferrari and joins Lewis in Monza… its total bedlam out here Crofty”
“Two seconds Ted”
I'm not a fan, but being an American with friends who have discussed it...its a leadership struggle mixed with the top man (Vince McMahon) running a sexual assault/human trafficking ring within the sport.
Nasty, nasty stuff.
Not a human trafficking ring, but rather 1 of Vince McMahon's female employees was trafficked and sexually assaulted, being "passed around" between McMahon, his fellow Executive John Laurinaitis and even one of the talents in Brock Lesnar. Basically both F1 and WWE are being rocked by accusations of sexual misconduct at the moment.
And when has having only half the story stopped Netflix?
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy DTS but like... The same way I enjoy "The Crown". It's a drama-mentary, not a documentary.
They are not cowards as such, they rely on teams to provide access. And they need those teams to provide access next season. It is a bit like saying that you are a coward for not cutting the branch you are sitting on. It really takes only one team that is adamantly against the show and it is no more.
Nah I think it's going to be Oscar + one of the two you mentioned. Oscar doesn't want to be stuck behind Lando and Webber is his agent. It'll cost RBR, but there's always a price where Zak will give in, especially if it means preventing friction between Lando and Oscar because Oscar has been just as fast lately.
I don't know what it would take to have friction with Lando, and this is not a pun. The other driver would have to go behind everyones back and make some really unfair political shit... Lando is very honest and fair, and i think unfairness would be the only trigger that could do it. I don't see that kind of dishonesty in Oscar. Max, Lewis, Alonso, Russell, Ocon... those might do anything to get ahead of the team mate.
Not Sainz, people think it would be amazing but he doesn't do well in oversteery cars at all. He would be similar to Perez only slightly quicker. Sign me up for Alonso though
Don’t be. Mercedes could very well be the place to be in 2026.
People said Schumi was a fool for not taking a guaranteed title or two at Williams when he left Benetton, and look how that worked out.
> Why Mercedes?
Because Ferrari seats are already taken.
With the forthcoming change in engine regulations, Mercedes and Ferrari are the best bets as they have the most expertise and infrastructure in building F1 engines.
Especially considering how the regulations are set, where Ferrari and Mercedes were pushing for things that would allow the existing manufacturers to retain an advantage, especially as they feared that otherwise Audi would be able to close or gain an advantage in certain areas very quickly.
So in other words, it would be very surprising if RBPT or Audi had the best engine in 2026.
Max gives off the impression that if Marko were to leave, he'd follow him out the door which, while interesting to witness, would likely be a disaster for RBR. There's really only one available driver that could replace him. Could Alonso actually find himself in a RBR seat?
Not only that, but he doesn’t really seem to care about a legacy or breaking records. Everyone assumes he changes teams if anything, he might just decide to walk away from a sport that already asks more of him than he would like. He already has the money to do whatever he wants, as well as still having the selling power to continue generating income for himself with ease.
Yeah I don't doubt any team would take him. Just from a Max point of view, where would you want to go right now? Any team would be a downgrade at the moment.
He’s made it pretty clear that he’s not looking to break championship records and he’s said he’d rather drive a car that he enjoys than just compete for championships. He’s said he’d like to pursue endurance racing sometime in his career. It’s pretty well known by now that Max does not see Formula 1 as his entire life.
Yeah totally, I just expected that move to be after 2026 or when his contract ends in 2028. I really do not see him leaving F1 right now when you basically already have the 2024 in the bag?
I really doubt he’s leaving right away. He’s gonna stick around and win his 4th title but after he clinches the title, who knows. Maybe he pulls a Lauda and leaves early. He doesn’t have to deal with the long F1 schedule that he hates.
What’s interesting to keep in mind is that he’s starting his own GT3 team. He intends to get his team ready to compete in 2025. With the way things are going right now, maybe he leaves F1 to focus on developing his own team next year.
He's made many a mention about his preference for sim racing... plus there was that little canoodle with Alonso a week or two back over a Le Mans team up.
Max has a lot of options outside of F1... and he's already got a handful of titles
>We have seen drivers win 1 WDC and leave while being still young
The only drivers that fit this are Nico Rosberg and James Hunt? And both were in their 30s.
It’s a team keeping a TP who is accused of sexual harassment, and the team keeps doing the worst things possible regarding optics. Since yesterday this whole story has escalated even more and the press outside of F1 are talking even more about it. There are now reports of the victim planning to sue, which would also escalate things even more. Sponsors might soon start to pull away. And in 2026 we have no idea how the cars are going to be. The only thing Verstappen is really risking right now is winning 2025 it seems like.
He could potentially drive for Aston Martin for a year while waiting for his Mercedes seat to open up? Alonso goes to RBR.
I'm not sure it would be a hard sell to Aston. "Hey, do you want the best driver on the grid?" The only issue might be the dollars and cents.
For sure, but assuming this change happens in the 2025 silly season, I could only see Sainz and Alonso being skilled enough and avaliable to take it. Leclerc has an undying love for red, McLaren boys are contracted up and Hamilton's at Maranello.
It's not a disaster in their minds because Horner (and Thais) thinks that they keep Newey and any good driver would produce winnings in that car, even if not so consistent.
Oh god we are gonna get an article from every publication now.
Who am i kidding, we are gonna get several articles every day till Australia. Chat GPT is about to cook
I can see an arrogant Horner saying let him leave and I will prove that it is MY car that is winning championships.
To be honest he probably has a point BUT it would be miles easier with Max in the car as he is quite clearly at the top of his game with him and Lewis (who isn't at the top of his game) are by far the best drivers on the grid.
Max should leave and go to Williams where he can replace Sargent, show the world he is the best driver, taking Williams to the top, winning Constructors and driver's Championship.
Netflix doesn't pull any punches. Viewership was down for Drive to Survive, so they had to ensure next season's triumphant return to its place atop the ratings.
Netflix must be kicking themselves at this point that they release a year later.
Almost wouldn't be surprised if in 2 months we have an off season special
The biggest poker hand in years at F1. Who's going to win the showdown? I think we can all sense neither side is backing down in this fight. Which side is bluffing, and who has the winning hand? We might very soon find out
"Marko is due to meet with in Saudi Arabia this weekend – as it emerges Marko is being probed by Red Bull GmbH in relation to leaked information, which could be separate from the anonymous sharing of alleged evidence from the investigation into Horner.
So it's actually Austria investigating Marco, not the Thais or RBR. Interesting.
Quite funny how Horner was basically investigated by the Thais, who stand firmly behind him, while Marko, if this is true, is investigated by RB Austria, who've supposedly supported Marko so far.
Wait...he means leave after his contract or whatever right? Surely he wouldn't just walk away mid season, while being the likely WDC candidate? Because that would be batshit crazy.
Yeah I'm assuming he has some kind of major leadership change clause - where if any of the major players leave he can break contract. If I was him that's what I would have wanted to sign such a long contract.
The Race with one of those classic click-baity headlines. There's other places we can read about what's going on. The race is an awful example of Motorsport 'journalism'
One on hand it's absolutely insane that RBR is willing to self-immolate so much to save the skin of Christian Horner, who has actually done something wrong.
On the other hand, this is all very exciting. Where's an aeroplane bathroom when you need one...
I know, he did say after winning ‘21 everything from then on is a bonus on his career and he never looked to break the 7x titles record, but I still can’t see it
Besides Ferrari have their driver lineup, only top team left is Merc, and max and Merc doesn’t exactly seem like a match made in heaven
What are the odds that the Verstappens are looking for a reason to move on from Red Bull? Max doesn't seem interested in getting involved in politics like RB tends to be; pretty sure the dude just wants to drive.
I don't understand why they print, and I don't understand why people respond to new articles written 50 times over about the exact same things that were already said.
It's miraculous how many people are willing to believe Horner is innocent, just because they hate that old racist bastard Marko or dislike Verstappen.
You're potentially okay with a power-abusing adultering harasser getting rewarded here.
It's not about believing if he's innocent or not lol. There was a power struggle within Red Bull with or without this whole situation between Horner and the Red Bull employee. This situation just seems to have accelerated the outcome of the power struggle.
That's exactly not what I said.
Judgment of innocence is also bullshit. Thus far the jury is out.
I don't give a crap if you feel called out, you just show you're ok with taking a risk at the cost of all female employees at RBR.
I'm not with firing him, though. We don't know enough. I'm inclined to believe the leaks are real, but even if I wasn't, I'm not fine with taking that risk either.
Neither should be fired until a true verdict can be made.
But people on here are so fucking shallow in their allegiances.
So let me get this straight
Jos fucks a Red Bull employee.
Christian fetches her eye.
Exchange texts.
Jos blows this up.
Helmut sides with Jos , want Christian gone
Thais say no.
End investigation.
Helmut: fine then I’ll leave
Max: me too.
Perez wins WDC.
If Marko did leak a ton of personal info, and as a known racist to boot, Max is a dumb motherfucker for sticking to him and blowing up his shot at a championship (and more records). Regardless of Horner's guilt or innocence, Marko could well be a massive shitbird too.
Viva Checo!
I’m confused. What does Marko do other than evaluate talent? It also seems to be a by the eye approach for talent evaluation (might be wrong on this, but I’ve never heard him make technical comments).
WTF is going on behind the scenes at Red Bull?
The Horner accusations seem to be used as an excuse for Jos and Helmet to turn against Horner, who have never seemed to have any issues, Horner has been successful for Red Bull and for Max. And then the woman beater decides cheating on your wife is a nono and is seen talking to Toto, who doesn't flat out deny the possibility of Max in a Mercedes. And now there's talk to get Helmet out?
Are we witnessing the fall of Rome? Do all great empires really fall from within?
There are probably 7 drivers on the current grid who could win the championship in that car against Perez if Max was in another team.
What the last few weeks have proved is that we have very little idea of what goes on behind the scenes in these teams. If Horner has decided to get rid of Mark knowing that Max goes as well then he's clearly happy with whoever he will get in to replace him.
And here we all thought it was going to be a boring year. Silly season? Hell no, it’s gone full on bizarro.
I’m waiting on the Alpine sells to Andretti story arc to start up next.

Nah I think it's going to be Oscar + one of the two you mentioned. Oscar doesn't want to be stuck behind Lando and Webber is his agent. Yh true good point

Ultimate El Plan is clearly this. Stays consistent with Nando's arc.
"love that VTEC baby" - Max Verstappen
Max was vocal a while back, wanting the relationship with Honda to continue.
Ferrari n Merc have the best engine for 2026 rn according to rumors
There's literally no way that people know how the different engines compare at this stage.
Ooh can’t wait for 26 then lol
Toto is probably having the time of his life.
Not after today's qualifying lol
A manager plans for the future though
The present, was at some point the future. But yeah I get what you mean
Max gives off the impression that if Marko were to leave, he'd follow him out the door which, while interesting to witness, would likely be a disaster for RBR. There's really only one available driver that could replace him. Could Alonso actually find himself in a RBR seat?
He doesn't just give the impression, he literally says that is what he would do
Where would he go though? You'd be walking away from 2 WDC titles to maybe never getting any again? Would he leave F1 altogether?
Teams would be lining up for him. Max not having a seat is not an issue.
Yeah exactly he’s made.
Yeah I don't doubt any team would take him. Just from a Max point of view, where would you want to go right now? Any team would be a downgrade at the moment.
Merc I imagine given it’s reasonable to expect them and Ferrari to have the strongest 2026 engines
That's not the issue. The issue is that he would be trading two wdcs and 40+ race wins for a team where he would struggle to make podiums.
Two?
He’s made it pretty clear that he’s not looking to break championship records and he’s said he’d rather drive a car that he enjoys than just compete for championships. Ah ok, for some reason I'm reading it as he's leaving instantly. It would make more sense to stick it out this season and then move on as he sees fit.
He's lieing, doesn't make him look so bad if he fails.
A car he enjoys is a car that wins. The merc wouldn't be enjoyable.
He's made many a mention about his preference for sim racing... plus there was that little canoodle with Alonso a week or two back over a Le Mans team up. Max has a lot of options outside of F1... and he's already got a handful of titles
We have seen drivers win 1 WDC and leave while being still young, but I doubt max is like that
>We have seen drivers win 1 WDC and leave while being still young The only drivers that fit this are Nico Rosberg and James Hunt? And both were in their 30s.
It’s a team keeping a TP who is accused of sexual harassment, and the team keeps doing the worst things possible regarding optics. He could definitely go to Mercedes next year
Mercedes will kick both drivers to get him.
Hell, Papa Stroll might even give him a blank cheque!
Dollars and cents are never an issue for Aston :D
I think it’s certainly possible that he would leave F1. He has hinted at that in the past.
Seat swap with Leclerc. Newey goes to Ferrari with him. A man can dream.
Hamilton underperforms, Charles v max in red?
I don’t think so any top driver would love to drive for the no1 car
For sure, but assuming this change happens in the 2025 silly season, I could only see Sainz and Alonso being skilled enough and avaliable to take it. Leclerc has an undying love for red, McLaren boys are contracted up and Hamilton's at Maranello.
It's not a disaster in their minds because Horner (and Thais) thinks that they keep Newey and any good driver would produce winnings in that car, even if not so consistent.
Norris would burn is contract in a heartbeat.
Technically you only need a driver as good as Checo to keep being typically p1 p2
Oh god we are gonna get an article from every publication now. Who am i kidding, we are gonna get several articles every day till Australia. Chat GPT is about to cook
So Marko left the track early to meet Mintzlaff?
I can see an arrogant Horner saying let him leave and I will prove that it is MY car that is winning championships. Nah, it’s a complaint about people who bend over backwards defending a sex pest by demanding impossible standards of evidence.
That's exactly not what I said. Judgment of innocence is also bullshit. Thus far the jury is out. I don't give a crap if you feel called out, you just show you're ok with taking a risk at the cost of all female employees at RBR.

You're just as willing to believe he's guilty as others are innocent.
I'm not with firing him, though. We don't know enough. I'm inclined to believe the leaks are real, but even if I wasn't, I'm not fine with taking that risk either. Neither should be fired until a true verdict can be made. But people on here are so fucking shallow in their allegiances.
Well, no one has been fired (yet). But if RB has concrete evidence of him leaking everything, there won't be much left for them to do.
So let me get this straight Jos fucks a Red Bull employee. Christian fetches her eye. Exchange texts. Jos blows this up. Helmut sides with Jos , want Christian gone Thais say no. End investigation. Helmut: fine then I’ll leave Max: me too. Perez wins WDC.
I don’t see Perez winning a title if Verstappen leaves. They’ll scoop someone big like Alonso.
Nearly -CH sexually harasses employee -employee gets in relationship with Jos -CH gets jealous -Employ pushes back and goes to HR -then the rest
Marko is 80 years old. Why is Max hitching his wagon to Marko? Marko was talking about retiring last year in interviews anyway.
If Marko did leak a ton of personal info, and as a known racist to boot, Max is a dumb motherfucker for sticking to him and blowing up his shot at a championship (and more records). Regardless of Horner's guilt or innocence, Marko could well be a massive shitbird too. Viva Checo!

Let them both go I say. There are plenty of drivers who can become world champion in that car.
Have you seen qualifying Lmao. Max out championship gone
Yes, I'm not saying he is bad. But with that car even Sainz would be world champion. A driver should never be blackmailing his team.
Newey to merc please
And here we all thought it was going to be a boring year. Silly season? Hell no, it’s gone full on bizarro. I’m waiting on the Alpine sells to Andretti story arc to start up next.
Meanwhile at Mercedes they are hard at work widening all doors so they can have them even more open...
DtS has everything they need for a perfectly spicy season. 1 more season of Buxton / Patrick / Irrelevant talking heads, and I'm out.
As a Red Bull fan, I love Max, he’s on track to arguably be the legit GOAT. But my loyalty is with Red Bull. If he goes then it’s war.
Just as well Frank Williams is not in charge at Red Bull he would have told Max to make sure the door doesn't hit him on the arse when he was leaving.
Seat swap with Leclerc. Newey goes to Ferrari with him. A man can dream.
Well, thats one way to end Verstappen dominance. Split Max and Newey. Thats it.
Oh look, the same news again but a different website.
I don’t think max has as much pull as he think he does
Max ain’t winning without a rocket ship.
