Leclerc was forecasted points :(
Although lets be real that claim was always just the engineer trying to keep Leclerc from ending it all.
Maybe if the deg wasn't as high Leclerc could have battled back but with backmarkers being faster than top cars on fresh tires that extra pitstop was always gonna be a kill.
Leclerc had the same pace as Norris and Max, so he could have easily been up there for a podium if not even the win after the accident
That guy he's so damn unlucky
I really did not understand why Ferrari forced him in so early on hards. There were other drivers who managed the hards for an additional 8 to 10 laps. Without that early stop, Leclerc could have easily finished 7th or 8th.
Is PR saying that he had damage? Incredible mental gymnastics.
> we all have eyes
Apparently not, [since a lot of you don't know](https://redd.it/1ds3h3w) or care.

[The damage in question](https://redd.it/1ds3h3w), and as I said in previous comments, It was a bad weekend overall.

Exactly, like, no valid excuse for his qualy times since Max had several thenths on P2.
The silver lining (and copium) is that its seems he has at the least stopped getting worse...
Yeah I agree. When Hulkenberg went P4 (or P3 can’t recall exactly which) in the 70th Anniversary Silverstone qualifying I knew that car was something special. Stroll and Perez to an extent, completely squandered the potential of that car. Imagine if Alonso was in the RP that season.
So your teammate spent a solid 2/3rds of a lap with a puncture, had to make an additional pitstop, got 10 second penalty to add to his woes and you still get classified 17 seconds behind him. Oh also getting pipped by a Haas at the final lap.
Great job Checo
Basically, Max is supreme but a cockup here or there and he'll actually have to fight for victories.
It was just funny hearing Martin scream "We've got a race on our hands!" cause this race sucked until the pitstop.
I mean Max and Charles clashed on track multiple times in 2019 including this same race. Maybe Lando and Max can figure it out between themselves next year too, although if it’s really fighting for wins and a championship then I doubt it.
Max and Daniel were able to move on from their crash in Baku back in 2018 although it also helped that Daniel left Red Bull right after that year. I agree that I doubt their friendship will continue if they’re still fighting in front moving forward.
Leclerc top 5 streaks over and it wasnt even his fault 😭 Wrong place, wrong time but also if he kept a level head in quali yesterday, he wouldn’t have needed to start next to the Perez/Piastri midsection.
Perez 17 seconds behind Verstappen would be bad on a regular race. It’s incredibly worse when Verstappen did 3/4 on a lap on 3 wheels, had an extra pit stop and got a 10 seconds penalty.
Deserved penalty for Verstappen but also Norris definitely wasn’t clean either. Outcome a bit rough for Norris, but that’s the risk. Stewards should’ve been faster but in the end it’s on both of them. Also the puncture for both was really unlucky, most cases nothing happens and they both continue…
tbf, he had damage in the race, but should've qualyfied higher
here's the damage, for the downvoters https://redd.it/1ds3h3w
imgur mirror https://i.imgur.com/CKOPvoj.jpeg
Its not even funny anymore Perez. How can they extend him with such results? Haas had a good Weekend sure. But Verstappen stayed easily in front of him with all the things happened
Lando, Max crash saved this race for me.
Having to watch Charles fight from p18, for the second time in 3 races, and have the two drivers ahead of him fighting for p1 and p2 was painful.
I was hoping for a Max win because lesser of two evils, since Max winning seems like an inevitability. But suddenly they were both out of the running and George and Oscar were the two in the running, two people I was equally content with winning.
The race was painfully boring until that botched pit stop, thanks red bull for finally messing up.
Race was still trash if it wasn’t for a slow pitstop for verstappen and him playing bumper cars for first. The gaps were so huge within the top 10 it’s disappointing. So much so a 10s penalty and collision didn’t lose 5th for verstappen.
Leclercs unfortunate race was just on him for his shit qualy.
Nah bro someone get Checo out of that car please bro is an absolute menace to his team. Max puncture, 10s penalty, 3 laps on 1 tyre, and Checo finishes behind a Haas.

If only Max and Norris hit each other harder!
Well if Max got a little bit more damage, Leclerc would’ve gotten a point Ferrari masterplan is back
If Ferrari was not so bad on Hard they could have a better race. The strategy was quietly solid even though I am so confused when watching.
Leclerc had the same pace as Norris and Max, so he could have easily been up there for a podium if not even the win after the accident That guy he's so damn unlucky
I really did not understand why Ferrari forced him in so early on hards. There were other drivers who managed the hards for an additional 8 to 10 laps. Without that early stop, Leclerc could have easily finished 7th or 8th.
Max can crash, drive half a lap without a tire, get a pitstop and a penalty and still finishes ahead of Perez. Absolute disaster
Perez is busy beefing with the Haas boys
To be fair, Haas had a dream race
Damn, Haas got hands 🥵
Honestly thought they fucked up when I saw then pit after 10 laps.
Perez vs the midfield is the battle we've all been waiting for.
That was the most hilarious part of the race for me
damage btw, but still not good
Wasn’t that damage from pushing off Piastri? For which he should’ve gotten a penalty for? dreadful weekend
Stewards disagreed btw, but yeah not a good weekend.
Using the stewards as reliable judges 😂
Thinking that reddit knows better 😂
Nice strawman, I never said that bud.
Checo’s been consistently terrible you don’t gotta run PR brother, we all have eyes.
Is PR saying that he had damage? Incredible mental gymnastics. > we all have eyes Apparently not, [since a lot of you don't know](https://redd.it/1ds3h3w) or care. e: [imgur mirror](https://i.imgur.com/CKOPvoj.jpeg)
You’re here consistently each raceweek downplaying how bad checo is lol
[The damage in question](https://redd.it/1ds3h3w), and as I said in previous comments, It was a bad weekend overall. mirror https://i.imgur.com/CKOPvoj.jpeg
Yea I heard already about his damage at the start but people just refuse to see that point.
It's understandable since it was not easily visible but it won't matter anyway.
It makes sense also on some other points like tyre deg, obvious I can be critical about Checo but we shouldn't ignore the bigger picture.
Exactly, like, no valid excuse for his qualy times since Max had several thenths on P2. The silver lining (and copium) is that its seems he has at the least stopped getting worse...
I once again ask, just how quick was that Racing Point in 2020?
Seems like it could have been a championship contender rn
If they had Max or Lewis they would've won like 5 races at least. I refuse to believe otherwise.
2nd fastest car at best on some weekends.
Maybe it also suited the drivers driving style. Perez has only ever really been bad his year at McLaren and 23/24.
The two Haas drivers, Ricc and Gasly doing bits amidst all the shitshow.
Haas has done really well, sandwiching a Red Bull! Hulk even beat Checo on pure race pace. Happy for Ric too, good result for his 250th race.
Ric performance was like a race win. The extra point is a bonus but he was driving his skin off to get that 10th place point
Not without a fight.
Russell was like 15s behind before the crash, right? So Pérez would have ended around 70s behind Max, which is a full lap
They were close to lapping Perez before the incident. Would’ve lapped Perez if they weren’t fighting so hard
Lmao
Shades of 2019
Alonso the goat, depriving Max from the fastest lap at the very end
real, points are points
Nico P6 Checo P7 Omegalol
And after all the shenanigans in the final laps, he still finishes 17 seconds behind Max lmao. You can't make this shit up.
It's absolutely embarassing. Checo doesn't deserve a drive anymore. 3 consecutive years of embarassment but he still somehow gets a contract.
2022 wasn’t bad but yeah 21 and 23 were dogshit
Both HAASes and Ric having quietly a very good race.
Points in the last 5 races Verstappen 93 Perez 14
The boos in Silverstone are going to be next level, for Max
D-RIC!!!
Love to see him get a result, feels like he’s getting some of that mojo back recently
Man what's with Aston now
>!Well they won one major race today!<
POGPR reigns supreme in the hills of Austria. LFG.
How the hell do you get DOTD for finishing 7 laps behind????
Popularity contest
People voted like 30min ago
For giving us the drama of the season, martyr move
DOTD is for whoever was the most entertaining and that was Norris.
Haas absolutely killing it this weekend

Long time no see, British-German anthem
Leclerc is the only one who can go toe to toe with Max and come out unscathed.
I mean Max and Charles clashed on track multiple times in 2019 including this same race. Maybe Lando and Max can figure it out between themselves next year too, although if it’s really fighting for wins and a championship then I doubt it.
It’s sad cuz it seems like they have a good friendship. But that’s gonna quickly go away if they keep battling each other like this
Max and Daniel were able to move on from their crash in Baku back in 2018 although it also helped that Daniel left Red Bull right after that year. I agree that I doubt their friendship will continue if they’re still fighting in front moving forward.
That was only one crash. If they are constantly fighting at the top for a title more are bound to happen
Not really, Leclerc kinda knows when to yield and go back at it again the next lap, max on the other hand.
Max mostly lets Leclerc through cause he knows he can get the place back later on in the race.
Man that was one hella fun of a race at the middle it was kinda boring but lando and max crashing made this way more fun
Leclerc top 5 streaks over and it wasnt even his fault 😭 Wrong place, wrong time but also if he kept a level head in quali yesterday, he wouldn’t have needed to start next to the Perez/Piastri midsection.

Perez is very slow. Red Bull must regret this decision.
tbf, he had damage in the race, but should've qualyfied higher here's the damage, for the downvoters https://redd.it/1ds3h3w imgur mirror https://i.imgur.com/CKOPvoj.jpeg
The thing that's actually scary is that this was a decent qualifying by Checo's standards...
he got 8th. which is the best he can get right now But it only takes a strong weekend from a midfield team to not even reach Q3
Or a crash/track limit disaster which he isn't too unfamiliar with either...
Thank you for sharing relevant information
Wow Danni Ric with points nice for him. But oh gawd Nico you fking legend!
Yuki washed /s
Tsunderwhelming
No sarcasm, he actually is.
Haas seem to love Austria
Perez unable to overtake Hulk was absolutely hilarious.
Ferrari needs to walk back these upgrades because yikes would have been a brutal weekend had Max and Lando not hit each other
After all that and Perez is still behind Max lmao
Damaged car, penalty and still ahead of Checo. Yuki washed.
love to see nico finish in front of checo. brilliant race for both haas drivers!
I for one welcome our new HAAS overlords
I think I'll just stop watching the races because a Mercedes wins every time I skip a race.
Its not even funny anymore Perez. How can they extend him with such results? Haas had a good Weekend sure. But Verstappen stayed easily in front of him with all the things happened

This gave me 2021 flashbacks
Russell did what he need to do and focus on his race, and then grab this opportunity. Congrats to him!
Haas vs Red Bull, the classic rivalry.
Even Max was worried when the two Haases were behind him. That part had me chuckling.
Silver lining for Lando is that Charles didn't finish in the points so he keeps 2nd
Gasly > Ocon. It's all I came here to see! Thanks for posting :)
Ciao!
Bad weekend for Checo overall, got saved by the side pod damage this race. Still, not enough.
Im just waiting for them to apply landos 5s next race because he couldnt serve it this one while Verstappen still gets away with it perfectly fine.
Lando made a pit stop, in pretty sure he would've served it then.
I wonder is Merc can catch Ferrari in the constructors.
Perez performance is just a shame.
He had a big hole in his side pod there’s a picture floating around on another thread. Not saying he wasn’t also slow but there was damage too
it’s at the point tho that damage to his car is saving his weekend lmao.
Doints!
So did Lando Norris classify despite retiring?
Remember right before Alonso signed with am, he said they are ahead of merc? Got damn how things have changed since.
Nice race DR.
Wait, Charles did 4 stops and not 3?
The only thing we can really say with certainty is that Perez is shit. It's a waste of a good car. Maybe they just should've gone for Sainz.
How was levelrc forecast points. Front two drivers crashed and he still only finished 11th
Nah bro someone get Checo out of that car please bro is an absolute menace to his team. Max puncture, 10s penalty, 3 laps on 1 tyre, and Checo finishes behind a Haas.
Let’s not forget that despite all the shithousery Max still finished ahead of Poorez
