I personally dont really care about those tools, they have probably less of an impact in the game than some people claim. So im neutral in that regard, but I dont think shutting it down will do much other than removing it from the two main hubs. Clans will probably still use it on their personal discord and as long as they dont use the offical API, devs cant restrict that really. Like with griefers/alts and cheaters, this will probably just be a new whack-a-mole game which devs cant win.
Not saying it shouldnt be removed, but I dont think we will ever be able to close that pandoras box, as soon as the source code is public.

They didn't said yes though and on the topic of rules even if its not against the rules at the moment that doesn't really mean anything, input broadcasting wasn't against the rules either for the longest time and many people took advantage of it only recently becoming a problem that needed to be addressed.
