House Steiner is a one of the many great houses within the Inner Sphere planets that tend to use overkill tactics (large cannons, mechs, etc). The joke here is they are INCREDIBLY German.
So the meme is the Steiner Scout Lance being ENTIRELY comprised of one of the heaviest mechs used (in terms of the four general classes of mechs), the [Atlas](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Atlas_(BattleMech\)).
The steiner counter attack thing is from downfall, however the video linked is definitely related to mechwarrior in which house steiner exists. What clay said has some truth to it for sure but off in some regards. Steiner specifically is an economic powerhouse but their military tends to lack experienced and skilled mechwarriors because it's rife with nepotism, coupled with the fact that they have roughly twice the number of assault mechs (the heaviest mechs) than most other houses do contributes to the meme/joke that a steiner scout lance (4 mechs) consists of 4 atlas' (100tons each, the heaviest mech at that time period for the inner sphere) as opposed to scout/light mechs (more like 35 tons or less). Assault mechs are still quite rare in the lore universe of battletech with the average percentage of assault mechs in a great house's military being about 10% (20% for House Steiner) of their total mech force.
So largely untrue though this little gem exists https://www.youtube.com/shorts/s22Grm5Pc_I, that mech in front is an atlas, as aforementioned one of the heaviest mechs known to the innersphere prior to the clan invasion and a powerhouse of a mech whose design was comissioned by General Kerensky himself.
There's not much nuisance in the Steiner Scout Lance meme, I'm aware. It's still fun and I use it where I can.
That being said, you have a way better grasp on the lore than I. Working on it slowly and when I have time.
What you said wasn't untrue but was just pointing out that the meme isn't really cause they're kinda german oriented but because they have more tonnage then others because of their economic status and they tend to overpower because their average pilot skill is generally worse than the other great houses.
Other fun atlas fact, despite commissioning the design Kerensky himself still continued to use his Orion.
Also if you want to start reading the lore I would recommend starting with the Grey Death legion Trilogy, then the Wolves duo of books, then the Warrior Trilogy from Stackpole.
Yeah, no problem dude. I loved your expansion on what I said, it was very informative.
Thanks for the recommendations! I'm consuming on the Orgins of BattleMechs and Tex Talks (it's good content, taken with a grain of salt sometimes). However, some reading sounds good too.
Warden weekend.
82DK Saturday OP.
KGG had its famous french streamers come back for their anniversary.
All the other clans launched offensives too in between.
We had french in the north and Warhammer fans in the south.
With both flanks collapsing the center crumbled away.
Colonials almost won the war...
*Engage* "lol 30/32, do something lolololol" protocols
Colonials leave because they think they got it in the bag
Huge warden counteroffensive
Colonials already gone, only small portion remained
*Cue doom music*
I remember that war.
We almost had a come back then with a vetted Spatha but ran out of steam. Wardens got complacent just like Collies this war and if not for the fact they had late game tech to stall the advances maybe we could have rolled them. Collies gave them a PROPER scare that war lol
> is being *paid* off.
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
**What is the mapping project?**
The mapping project is a series of situation reports updated to the Foxhole Official Discord and Reddit that encompass every theater of Foxhole's world map, providing a birds eye view of the situation of the war on a specific in-game day.
Unlike a raw map of the game, or a regularly updating real time map like Foxholestats, the aim of the mapping project is to document the macro-level flow of a war. Doing so in greater detail than currently existing methods. All of this done in a way that can be useful and visible to all players, regardless of faction, without compromising the operational security of either faction during the war.
**How do you keep it fair?**
All locations featured in the map are world spawns (such as Town Hall's and Relics, etc...) who's status is publicly visible to all in-game regardless of side and also on the secure map mode. No other reporting's on positions are given, in order to not compromise player bases or player movements. Only bases within 1 degree of separation from the frontline are reported on
All NATO symbols used over said reported locations are kept down to merely a symbol of composition, and nothing more. Those of you familiar with NATO symbol structure will know that a significant amount of information can be disseminated if adding the proper modifiers. For this reason, we only put the bare minimum unit-type symbol and nothing more.
Screenshots of areas, troop movements, etc... are never accepted. Reporting assistance that provides any more intelligence than a raw NATO symbol and a world spawn location are discouraged and can get a liaison blacklisted from assisting further.
**Why NATO symbols?**
They are commonly recognized and understood in ways that using older styles more fitting of a WW1 or WW2 era would be. Though we do not provide a legend with our maps, most of the symbols are easy to find out by simply looking up NATO symbol charts.
**How can I become a liaison?**
Contact Cev via PM's in discord through the official foxhole discord server. After an initial interview to check your background to verify your ability to provide fair information in good faith to both sides, you will be added to a liaison list.
When I am creating a new map, the liaison list will be pinged via PM's on discord (or possibly a server if the creation of one is required). The only information required will be a list of locations you have recently fought in near the frontline along with accompanying NATO symbol.
In other words, the only thing being asked for are names of world spawns and a single word or series of words for a unit symbol associated with it. Within the last day or couple hours or so.
I don't expect to be making another map after this one that isn't just an entirely blue map with some statistics of the war over it.
Then we go on to next war.
Hey Short question, how is it determined what unit it is? For example the colonial Combat engineers at morgens crossing. Do those players/clans there identify themselves als CBT?
I don’t play foxhole yet but am highly interested…
ok wait i didn't really pay attention. Day 556? Has this shit been going on for nearly two years? Or does that mean ingame days? That would be about 23 days, right?
*Ultimately, the Great Turn, as historians call it, went down as one of the greatest counteroffensives ever carried out by the amassed forces of the Warden Empire. Coming to an end by day 556, General Meade’s 11th Army was tasked with cleaning up the encircled 3rd Corps and 7th Corps encircled 20 kilometres behind the line. Meanwhile, General Dupois and General Fenrik continued pushing the front further east, destroying all hopes of a breakout for the beleaguered Colonial forces which were tasked with playing a rear guard action ahead of the main withdrawal. By Day 556 High Command of the Grand Colonial Expedition had issued the mass evacuation of all forces still in country. Under-equipped, morale destroyed from consecutive losses, and with a wounded to combat capable ratio of 1:35, the Colonial Forces did not even attempt a delaying action, and stood on the beaches awaiting evacuation. Corporal Sykes, a grenadier with the 88th Rifles said “The mood was that of a tired horse. Men trotted along with their rifle in their hands, head down. Those just off the line didn’t even try to wash their faces, blackened from continued fire.” It’s not surprise then that just a few days later…*
Warden counter attack came progressively more and more into Late war, where defenses are worth a lot less and much easier to plow through.
Collie push was in early war, against the final bastions of concrete, where the best they could do to destroy concrete was basically shoot literally hundreds of thousands of tremolas at them....bout it.
I’m not even mad, honestly. I’d prefer if it didn’t happen, obviously, but, what the Wardens have done is really impressive. So credit where credit is due, it’s a hell of a comeback
Woah what the fuck happened
Yes
Steiner counterattacked!
THE MAGNIFICENT STEINER DOES IT AGAIN
[Steiner Scout Lance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHDpO4QZrzs&t=31s) rolled onto the map.
I know just enough about mechwarrior to know it’s a mechwarrior meme but not enough to know what the hell is going on lol
House Steiner is a one of the many great houses within the Inner Sphere planets that tend to use overkill tactics (large cannons, mechs, etc). The joke here is they are INCREDIBLY German. I thought its a Hitler meme from Downfall with the Steiner Counterattack
I also thought this. How esoteric are the memes we're using? :0

I feel like it’s definitely both
Never imagined to see a battletech meme in this subreddit
Somehow you never do expect the Steiner Scout Lance.
Warden weekend. 82DK Saturday OP. KGG had its famous french streamers come back for their anniversary. All the other clans launched offensives too in between. We had french in the north and Warhammer fans in the south. With both flanks collapsing the center crumbled away.
Wardens got rolled early so the colonials got bored and left than the wardens came back and the colonials were still gone
That maybe the case. But their comeback will still be a magnificent event in Foxhole history.
Damn, this is one of the most rapid territory gains I've ever seen in this game. Also one of the biggest comebacks.
Definitely not the most rapid, but definitely the biggest comeback in terms of scale.
Now we just need a 31/32 comeback
maidens veil is a penis 💀
maidenless veil
This entire war has been phallic
This is the war we introduced the collies to CBT (Colonial Base Torture)
CUM
Cock and balls, to be specific.
You're welcome.
A sign for warden victory. Our femboys reign supreme.
Wait, wardens have femboys?
Always have been
Good God this is game changer
That's a penis... 😁.mp4
Maiden's bulge
I have really loved these maps Cev! Thank for making and sharing them with the community
This war will live on in the memories of generations to come
30/32 o7
What the fuck happened I was gone for 3 days
What happened was you did not login for 3 days!
Chill with the moonsugar caius cosades
Colonials almost won the war... *Engage* "lol 30/32, do something lolololol" protocols Colonials leave because they think they got it in the bag Huge warden counteroffensive Colonials already gone, only small portion remained *Cue doom music*
Yeah, that’s a very accurate presentation of what happened in the last couple of wars
30/32 lol the end has begun
War 77 part 2 electric boogaloo
I remember my first war with ARMCO in Savages during 77, good shit that war was.
Imagine if it goes back to 30/32 for collies now
There needs to be an update of the No-Bell-Picture to a collie.
Oh the supreme irony. "I dont hear no bell" is THE collie meme from war 83, which we also lost. Wardens have stolen it now
it's older than that, I remember it from war 79 (siege of conclave)
I remember that war. We almost had a come back then with a vetted Spatha but ran out of steam. Wardens got complacent just like Collies this war and if not for the fact they had late game tech to stall the advances maybe we could have rolled them. Collies gave them a PROPER scare that war lol
Wow, *only* blue arrows? Clear warden bias, can't be any other answer.
Sigil told me the Wardens are on their last legs so this map is just false
idk man, looking at the Foxhole map tells a different story.
The ingame map has clesrly been corrupted by the Warden Propaganda
Finest warden propaganda.
Obviously. Cev is being payed off.
> is being *paid* off. FTFY. Good! Cev can hang out blue side anytime
It’s so over colliebros
Never
I will never stop being jealous of all those who participate in this war... Callahan doesn't need me, but I'd sure love to be there.
ayo?? marban lookin kinda sus?? 🤨
Morbin' Hollow
it’s marbin’ time boys
Thank you Cev!

I don't expect to be making another map after this one that isn't just an entirely blue map with some statistics of the war over it. Then we go on to next war.
Next war you must add toaster tank activity to the map :P
Hehe collie dick
Hey Short question, how is it determined what unit it is? For example the colonial Combat engineers at morgens crossing. Do those players/clans there identify themselves als CBT? I don’t play foxhole yet but am highly interested…
Check my comment on this same post
There is player made regiments so they just call themselves whatever their regiment is called no specific thing really
ok wait i didn't really pay attention. Day 556? Has this shit been going on for nearly two years? Or does that mean ingame days? That would be about 23 days, right?
It's ingame days. ~~There are 48 ingame days per real day.~~ Edit: It's actually 24- one day every hour.
But that would mean this war only lasted 12-15ish days....feels so much longer man...
Turns out I got it wrong, it's actually 1 day an hour, so 24 days a day. My bad.
24? 1 per hour of realtime
Oh it is. My bad, edited.
How funny would it be if they turned it around next
Except the collies who said they never give up and always give 100% gave up...
And then get stuck exactly where everything started… xD
So we wardens get to keep the bell
so you're telling me there's a chance
Bruh
Colonial collapse
Hehe nice
Ok collies, your turn now. Bring it back, keep the meme alive
now if collies would like to log in and do some logi maybe we could push back..
Tbf I was doing logi up the rivers until kalokai became the frontline
Oh how the turn tables
(Be me hasn’t been on in 3~4) (See’s this post) “WELL SHIT”

We've won 1 out of 4 wars since April
PENIS
Inb4 collies “i heard no bell”
Well, they didn't even had a chance to make a post.
Holy shit. Was there nothing in the way or had it all decayed since it was so far from the initial fronts?
Warden counter attack came progressively more and more into Late war, where defenses are worth a lot less and much easier to plow through. Warden bias
What the fuch happened i was on vacation for a day and this happens?
Thanks your battle plans really helped us win the war
Yo collies. This really all you got?
I don't understand these comments when the wardens literally didn't play 80% of the war. And yes they are also stupid when collies make them.
WE WON BABY ALSO pp
Tech maids ftw
I swear, I really need to play this game more.
*Downfall*, except Steiner’s counter attack succeeded
