I’m def gonna look into it a bit, video game wise my favorites are basically anything Fromsoft and recently Baldur’s Gate/Larian. So I feel like I’m leading down the path.
Baldur's Gate 3 is basically DnD 5e in videogame form. I actually got better at tabletop DnD after playing BG3. If you know BG3, transitioning to tabletop games will be so easy and fun.
The rules have a lot of contradictions and poorly worded mechanics, and certain sections are lacking clarification/content. I haven't played the system yet though so I'm sure they can be worked around just fine

Yes it does, it was released last year I believe.
In its current state is it any good?
I still haven't played it yet; some other comment said it has some issues, but I need to play first to have a more informed opinion

I was gonna say that I think it uses 5e rules. Do you have a dnd group you could try to run it with?
Yes I do have my DnD group, they are not really that familiar with Dark Souls tho, but I'm sure they will be happy to play with this book.
For sure! This could also be a sneaky way for you to get them to try the video games!

God I wish this book was better realized. As much as I enjoy reading through it the glaring issues hurt me :/
