Delivery drivers don't even allowed the time to pee, none of them would have the time to read anything on the packages. If it's not an additional service the delivery offered and you paid for, they MIGHT get told your package need extra care. Most of the time though, even if you paid for the extra care all it actually means is they will pay for replacement if it's damaged and not that they will pay extra care when delivery.
Honestly this, if you wanna be mad at bent packages, sure, but be mad at the companies forcing their employees towards speed and volume over everything else. Sure there are some shitty people going overboard, but mostly it’s places like ups and Amazon not allowing really any option to take even a short bathroom break so they piss in bottles in the back of the truck :-p
We don't do shit like this were i am from but they told me its an event we needed to attent otherwise we wouldn't get our stuff.
I told them to fuck off since they cannot not give it to me and i am awaiting them sending it per mail in a week.
Ya I didn’t go for my bachelor or master’s degree because I thought it’s stupid. Nobody wants to go to the ceremony it’s like just part of the process. But like… why go if you don’t want to when you don’t have to?
No, but if they somehow did I’d be royally pissed lol. I had a name change so they literally had the court document. My school had info in our email and the actual envelope that if there was an issue you had X days to inform them after you receive it
Yeah, I just got a fancy diploma cover thingy and the paper inside basically said "your diploma is in the mail!". I got it a few weeks later. But honestly, it's been sitting in a box for years. Anytime I need to prove that I have a degree they just want to see my transcript, so I've never had to show anyone my actual degree.
Mine came in the mail, in a thin cardboard package. USPS folded it in half to fit inside my mailbox (there were clear markings on the package about it, it was definitely not meant to be folded, it was even reinforced inside, they definitely put in some elbow grease to fold it).
That might be true for undergrad degrees, but this woman is receiving a doctorate of some kind. I think that would be quite rare.
Besides, there's a cart full of them with labels. The diploma might not be the full size real one, but it's hers to keep.
The props there were her kids.
She had people she was acknowledging and mugging for pictures who should have been holding her kids as she walked.
...but, of course, she had to make the graduation ceremony about her kids.
This cheapens the whole thing and wastes everyone's time. She shouldn't have been allowed on stage with those kids.
That's a medical school doctorate no less. With two kids. She must have an absolutely incredible support system. Dad, grandma, and grandpa should have also come up on stage.
Or she just thought it would be a super meaningful moment for her kids to be there for her crowning achievement academically. At med school graduations families are often involved - usually a parent or grandparent who is also a medical doctor will present the hood or diploma on stage. It's always so sweet to see the pride they have at that moment. This is an adorable reversal of sorts and I guarantee you everyone got a kick out of it.
This is a remarkably ignorant comment. I and several other parents at our graduate school graduation walked across the stage with our child(ren), even though (as far as I know) all of us were two-parent households.
Parent to two toddlers. This is a standard move. One of our games around the house is called "megazord" where my daughter sits on my shoulders while my son hangs on to my ankle and I drag him across the floors making bionic noises and screaming like a robo dinosaur.
That's a pretty typical 'mom' skill. If you have to take care of more than one kid at a time, you're going to learn how to pick up a kid when you're already holding one.
Yes, I should've used different wording! All parents learn how to do this. I don't have my own kids, but I work in early education and I can scoop kids up pretty quickly lol
I learned that I, at 130lbs, could carry 95lbs of kid on a hike (don’t include the carrier weight with snacks and water bottles). I do not recommend it. Some skills you don’t need to get.
You actually think she took 7x longer? Everyone on the stage is smiling. Not everyone hates children the way most redditors do. Those kids on stage will be taking care of you when you're old.
Absolutely. Degree. Handshake. Handshake. 5 seconds.
She took at least 35 seconds.
That was, minimally, the second of two carts of degrees. It has about 50 diplomas. Let's assume (likely incorrectly) there were only 100 folks getting recognized that day. Let's say each one of them has 4 family members with them.
If EVERYONE wastes that extra 30 seconds being the mommy main character, that is 30 seconds x 100 instances x 500 people in attendance. That would waste a total of 25,000 man-minutes (over 400 man hours).
Let's hope it's only her with the main character syndrome. Alone, her disrespect for the process wasted somewhere around 4 man hours spread across those in attendance so her special boy could grab her degree for her.
Children have no place on that stage.
This part made my almost cry! My younger two kids were 16 months apart. I used to carry them both. It's one of those things that drives you crazy at the time but makes you so sad when it's gone.
My husband used to carry one in each arm and pretend to lose his balance like "whoaaaa". They laughed so hard.
I love this. One of my most cherished memories was walking across the stage with my 9-month old in my arm to get my diploma. The Dean shook my kid’s foot first, then my hand, before handing me my diploma.
Ok so you’re just an ass then. No one was impacted negatively by my kid being on stage with me (except perhaps in the imagination of judgmental pricks like you).
And it’s pretty fresh for you to assume that I had a kid at “a bad time in my life” when story know nothing about me except this anecdote. Life was pretty good then. Still pretty good.
10/10. Would do it again.
I don't think that was an issue. Even without kids, those ceremonies are LONG. Usually a few of the admins give speaches, often times there's a guest speaker. And then, depending on the school, there may be at LEAST 1000 students. If anything, the kid broke the monotony of the whole thing.
Love that the (dean?) knew kids well enough to hide it behind his back long enough for the toddler to lose interest before handing it off to the mom. As a dad, you get real used to the David Copperfield levels of misdirection when it comes to toddlers.
What does she think she’s the first one to get knocked up before college? Get a babysitter for the kids and stop acting like you’re special so annoying r/maincharacter
I agree. She’s not the only one with kids graduating. I bet there are others.
There was this kid going to school who was homeless. He was running to get to a homeless shelter before it closes.
Frankly, no one else there cares about you at all, except a relatively small number of friends and family that might be watching. Fortunately, you don't walk across the stage for the sake of the people who don't care, so if the university is OK with it, you can do what you want.
"I enjoy spending time with my family"
"Both kids would have cried if I left them with the relative I brought with me"
"I didn't have anyone to watch the kids"
Take your pick. What did it take, 1 extra minute?
What an amazing woman!! To parent two really young kids and still earn a graduate degree!! WOW!! She's a super woman with an incredibly supportive husband and family!! MAD RESPECT!

I like how the second guy is like "nope" lol
You had your chance to get it. Now it's gone. Lol
No takebacks
No Takesies-backsies
"My....PRECIOUS!" - Smeagol diplo-gollum
Looks like another 4 more years of school for you?
Did you learn nothing?
He's a turkish ice cream man on his days off
"Ima trust your kid on this"
^(Kid:) "This is fun, but you're not hanging this on the refrigerator."
2nd guys a seasoned old person saw she was going to need both arms in a second
Grandpa wisdom is never taught
Kid is like we would like a refund please.
Very polite child. "Here you go, Sir. Thank you."
In the kids defense those are usually props and you dont get shit in there, real diplomas usually come later.
They do that? Glad they didn't for me. Then I would have really had an excuse not to go.
Even if they hand out real diplomas- if you don’t show up, they just mail it to you later anyway.
They mailed me mine and it was bent as fuck
With “DO NOT BEND” written across the envelope in giant letters.
You bet it
Delivery drivers don't even allowed the time to pee, none of them would have the time to read anything on the packages. I always thought it said do not not bend? Isn't that why that stuff is always destroyed when you get it?😂
We don't do shit like this were i am from but they told me its an event we needed to attent otherwise we wouldn't get our stuff. I told them to fuck off since they cannot not give it to me and i am awaiting them sending it per mail in a week.
I mean yeah, they can't not give it to you seeing as how you paid for it and met the requirements and all that.
Ya I didn’t go for my bachelor or master’s degree because I thought it’s stupid. Nobody wants to go to the ceremony it’s like just part of the process. But like… why go if you don’t want to when you don’t have to?
Yeah so today we just get a paper saying it’s in the mail lmao. Even in high school I guess they knew they’d give someone the wrong degree by accident
Did they spell your last name wrong like they did mine?
No, but if they somehow did I’d be royally pissed lol. I had a name change so they literally had the court document. My school had info in our email and the actual envelope that if there was an issue you had X days to inform them after you receive it
Yeah, I just got a fancy diploma cover thingy and the paper inside basically said "your diploma is in the mail!". I got it a few weeks later. But honestly, it's been sitting in a box for years. Anytime I need to prove that I have a degree they just want to see my transcript, so I've never had to show anyone my actual degree.
I've never had to produce my certificate. I've put my qualifications on my CV and applications, and nobody's ever asked for proof.
I haven't either. The most I've had to provide is my transcript to show I had enough early childhood credit hours.
Mine came in the mail, in a thin cardboard package. USPS folded it in half to fit inside my mailbox (there were clear markings on the package about it, it was definitely not meant to be folded, it was even reinforced inside, they definitely put in some elbow grease to fold it).
At my high-school graduation they gave us the little diploma holder but kept our diplomas until we returned our cap and gowns.
Yeppp. Similar here
Wait, they actually give out diplomas at graduation ceremonies? I’ve always had mine mailed
Ours gave us the hardcover for the diploma, then the real paper came later in the mail.
I got something in my prop diploma; a very nice letter from the alumni association asking me for money.
That might be true for undergrad degrees, but this woman is receiving a doctorate of some kind. I think that would be quite rare. Besides, there's a cart full of them with labels. The diploma might not be the full size real one, but it's hers to keep.
True my cert for the picture was a bit of cut plumbing pvc with a ribbon on it lol
Can we also give props to her shouldering both of her kids at the end? Pretty sure if I did that I’d have cramps lol.
All I can think is how this scene is an accurate representation of her juggling caring for her children while finishing her studies. Much respect
I thought the same thing! It was so symbolic and made the joy and humor of the situation even more touching.
Yup. A toddler and a baby that she has to juggle and she graduated! Damn girl! You’re amazing.
Also props to getting that diploma, while being a full time mom to at least two kids.
She got that diploma! Now, if she could only remember where she put it…
That's a medical school doctorate no less. With two kids. She must have an absolutely incredible support system. Dad, grandma, and grandpa should have also come up on stage.
While the people who actually earned their degrees wait? Come on.
If dad's in the picture...
Seeing as she's walking the stage with her kids, I think it's safe to assume she doesn't have much of a support system.
Or she just thought it would be a super meaningful moment for her kids to be there for her crowning achievement academically. At med school graduations families are often involved - usually a parent or grandparent who is also a medical doctor will present the hood or diploma on stage. “Parent” skill. Wrangled two little ones *many* times myself!
Yes, I should've used different wording! All parents learn how to do this. I don't have my own kids, but I work in early education and I can scoop kids up pretty quickly lol
Don’t worry, Kathryn, I still think you’re pretty great!
I learned that I, at 130lbs, could carry 95lbs of kid on a hike (don’t include the carrier weight with snacks and water bottles). I do not recommend it. Some skills you don’t need to get.
Well I wouldn't want to carry two kids on a hike, but carrying two a short distance is fine.
Mom's are insanely strong mentally and physically. Source: saw a mom once
No. The kids shouldn't have been on that stage at all. It was irresponsible...but she needed to be the main character.
It's a graduation ceremony, she is the main character when it's her turn on stage
She took about 7 turns with her antics.
You actually think she took 7x longer? Everyone on the stage is smiling. Not everyone hates children the way most redditors do. Those kids on stage will be taking care of you when you're old.

Dr Mom! Congratulations to her!
Indeed! Could also be mom, esq.
Black robes and green hood = MD can also tell that it's a doctorate level by the velvet bands on the sleeves
Didn’t realize that green hood is an MD. JD regalia also has the velvet in the front and stripes, so that was my thought.
That toddler was her guinea pig to test legal arguments on
Looks like the Einstein College of Medicine, so probably Dr.
Green Hood is medical school
hahaha DR MOM is great.. i love my Dr. Mom even though she doesn't have a Dr. diploma..
Good for her, got her diploma while raising kids its not easy
This is for a doctorate. You can tell because of the stripes on her robe and the hood. A really big deal for her for sure.
This was the graduation for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NYC. She became a doctor
I love this. One of my most cherished memories was walking across the stage with my 9-month old in my arm to get my diploma. The Dean shook my kid’s foot first, then my hand, before handing me my diploma.

Wow, that's an extreme reaction. I certainly dont view it as an insult to everyone else and think it's a sweet moment.

We get it, your parents abandoned your annoying ass. Take it out on your therapist, not strangers on fucking Reddit lmao
I can’t tell if this should’ve had a /s or if you’re completely nuts.

This is for her doctorate, the ceremony is all about celebrating a small handful of students.
I don't think that was an issue. Even without kids, those ceremonies are LONG. Usually a few of the admins give speaches, often times there's a guest speaker. And then, depending on the school, there may be at LEAST 1000 students. If anything, the kid broke the monotony of the whole thing.
I don't understand how people do these things. Two kids and graduating... I can't even fathom focusing on a class or studying longer than 5-10min
Graduating from medical school at that.
It feels like a great demonstration of what it is like to be a single mom going to college.
Love that the (dean?) knew kids well enough to hide it behind his back long enough for the toddler to lose interest before handing it off to the mom. As a dad, you get real used to the David Copperfield levels of misdirection when it comes to toddlers.
Yes! Until one day it doesn’t work anymore.
This is why graduations take 6 hours
Legally I have returned moms diploma and this discharges her student loan debts. BUY ME LEGO BITCH! NOW!
That took a turn.
Why bring a toddler to something like this?
For the likes
Sometimes when people celebrate major life accomplishments they want to share the experience with the people they love
yeah but taking them on stage too?
Now you know the difficulties of being a single mom.
never seen a woman come up with her husband/boyfriend. Never seen a man come up with his wife/girlfriend.
If every graduate takes this long, the ceremony will be 9 hours. Other than that, lots of fun.
Or just walk by yourself and grab the degree and move along like everyone else
srsly. The next person's recognition got interrupted.
Seems like that sums up how much more difficult it is to be in University with young kids. :) Good on her. Wonder what her Doctorate was in.
MD. Can tell by the green hood.
Thanks, didn't realize they color coded like that. Good to know.
To get a degree with two small kids - well done!!!!
A MD at that
Are there no other graduates?
She carried quite a load. Impressive.
Cringe AF to go on stage with your kids like that.
Seriously. No one else cares about your kids
Frankly, no one else there cares about you at all, except a relatively small number of friends and family that might be watching. Fortunately, you don't walk across the stage for the sake of the people who don't care, so if the university is OK with it, you can do what you want.
And that’s fine but don’t take forever like this lady. I would be so annoyed if I was behind her
First, I'm sure she didn't plan for that to happen, and second the entire video is 41s.
Username makes sense.
With your big blue balls you’ll never have to experience it
Stfu. Maybe she doesn’t have anyone to watch them. It shows that she cares about her kids enough to work her ass off to be better for them.
No
The guy in the pink got to keep her degree, sweet deal!
Eh… Epstein???
Rebecca what?
Congrats to the mom for getting it done and graduating!
Keep you dumb spawn in a seat, jeeze lady
Cute kid.
More power to her. A doctorate plus two kids! Way to go.
Dafuq is the message she trying to send. I have two children and still getting my PhD and the rest of you should learn from me…
"I enjoy spending time with my family" "Both kids would have cried if I left them with the relative I brought with me" "I didn't have anyone to watch the kids" Take your pick. What did it take, 1 extra minute?
The whole clip was less than a minute. People are freaking out over 43 seconds.
Just stop. Exactly. It’s 1 minute. Her crotch goblins can take a seat or wait for one minute.
What a fantastic accomplishment -- good for her, and what a funny/memorable night with her family!
Man let her rest!!!!
Absolute riot
What a perfect show of why shes so awesome. She got that diploma while wrangling two kids. Thats incredible.
What an amazing woman!! To parent two really young kids and still earn a graduate degree!! WOW!! She's a super woman with an incredibly supportive husband and family!! MAD RESPECT!
Weird comment to get downvoted tbh
I think it’s because, since it’s on Reddit, it’s assumed to be sarcastic
It's Reddit. 🤷
How do you know she has a incredibly supportive husband? ARE **YOU** THE HUSBAND?
[удалено]
Come on guys, that was kinda funny, we all thought it.
Good job mom. She didn't give up. Kept studying. Kept fighting. Great mother
Truly funny content on here for once
Got a diploma WITH 2 KIDS? actual super woman not gonna lie
No one cares if you graduated online courses. Keep it to yourself.
More kids is the answer
