Unfortunately this isn’t how it came sealed, so you can’t really consider complete, but still pretty nice that you have most of the packaging. Not a Chinese knockoff, it’s official product. However it isnt worth much more than what you paid, in this condition you could probably get around $30–35, but they obviously aren’t super popular so probably not worth selling at all. Nice find tho
It's a fair market price for it. As the above said missing the original slip cover, probably missing the comic that was bundled inside and also originally sold with a peel away plastic cover over the center piece because the fatality images were too graphic.

I have the PS2 version of that and I can tell you they’re shit quality. Terrible buttons, cheap internal parts, brittle plastic…I can’t imagine the Xbox version is any better.
These were released by Midway for Mortal Kombat on xbox. They were super cheap and they send in dozens of them. They say and collected dust until they were discounted massively, and then only really bought for the novelty. I've seen some street fighter ones too. I don't think they're worth much because they made to many and they sold so poorly, but if you think it's cool just keep it for yourself.

It's worth about 50-70 I believe I just scanned it on Google lens and filtered it by sold listings. Although there is one listed for $35 but you can get more since you have the box I'd say $60

Just guessing but i think this is a knockoff. The fonts are incorrect and i can see a few other oddities. The ps2 controllers are printed on the controller itself vs these look like an odd layout printed on an insert. Take a look at price charting and see what you come up woth.

I remember my buddy got one of these when he got Mortal Kombat for original Xbox as part of a bundle deal. They felt terrible. I think he gave it away to a cousin because no local used game store would let him trade it in.
Honestly, not a bad controller for fighting games. I had one for Street Fighter Anniversary Collection back in the day, since there weren’t many other 6 button options.
I hate how Goodwill is actually pricing their items to ebay prices now and getting coy..like aren't you guys supposed to be a store for people to save money at?
I wouldn’t mind the prices, if the items were tested and backed with guarantees. With eBay at least the bare minimum most listings are clear if they work or not and PayPal/eBay has very good buyer protection. GW you’re buying things that may or may not work, *that’s the point*.
I'd give them a little forgiveness if it was to prevent the rampant flippers problem (people who just go to thrift stores, buy up cool cheap items then resell on ebay/fb). This issue has always existed, but it's really bad lately.
Yeah I work for a grocery chain and drive around to their stores to do maintenance on their IT stuff so I do breaks sometimes and walk over to goodwills and other local thrift shops and they’re pretty much dawn till dark swamped with flippers tearing the stores apart. The electronics aisles are usually empty every morning by like 9-10 and their pickup trucks are like Beverly hillbilly’s with other odds and ends. I just skip thrift shops now, garage sales are the last bastion really.

I have three of those, but as I recall they were Street Fighter themed. Each of them are themed on different characters and each is a different color. And they have the lenticular images in the center spot on the controller and it's the same mold. So apparently they made a variety of those type controllers with different characters/series.

It looks like someone started with a SpongeBob controller, then switched the licensing to Mortal Kombat at the last minute.
